Seung Mina III VS Storm 2: If Storm 2 gets under, hell shove Seung Mina down the pit, but that is SO unlikely to happen...Seung Mina to make the Heat Final.
Nitro-Gene 4.0 VS Whirligig 4.5: Get that binbag all you wish Kody. I was actually hoping for Storm 2 in this battle, but I get the former E.O.T.R Champion. Good - I took out the current one in Robot SMASH!!, and Ill take out the former one.
The current version of Nitro-Gene was been specifically designed to take on spinners, and Ill go through the various advantages I have:
1. Nitro-Gene 4.0 has had some serious shape modification, including a wedge hindged at 42* at the front - ideal for deflecting spinners and FBS And in addition, ALL the edges (except the front wedge which is SO sharp it can get under ANYTHING) have been rounded over to make it near impossible for a spinner to grab onto a panel and tear it off.
2. My speed is 22mph, but the motors in mine are geared for a LOWER speed to allow maximum acceleration. Steven has 15mph, but is running his motors at maximum speed, so I have both the better speed and best acceleration to stop him spinning.
3. My armour and his teeth. The Whirligig before this was mortifing, as it has about 183kj in its spinner! But even then it wasnt able to shock-kill an unshock-proofed robot. Im unshock-proofed (but thatll be flattened out in the next model :wink:) and hes lowered his energy. Ill be fine. And my body armour is 5mm Hardox and the armour on the flipper is 6mm Hardox! Hell have a tough time denting that, and he wont be able to rip the panels off. Ill be fine. True, my skirts are the softest parts of the robot, as theyre made of 5mm Titanium, BUT the hindges on them are Hardox so they wont be ripped off. Get my drift? :wink:
4. My ground clearance is 20mm, but that is protected by skirts, and that is intentional, as if someone gets under me, I can drive off his wedge or whatever. Whirligig has a 4mm clearance, but if got under, itll be stuck.
Now Ive given a novel of my advantages :proud:, Ill now give my tactics:
TACTICS: Speed out at him, INTO the direction hes spinning, as thatll ground his spinner to a stop. Then speed in again becuase he wont be able to get away in time, get him on my wedge and just power him along, shove to the side and eject him from the arena - I have MORE than enough power to do so.

Hardox doesnt have to be ripped off to be removed. Hardox armour is only as strong as what holds it together, as a certain someone has been saying for ages, therefore panels can go flying. :)
Ill let Steve-O deal with this though. :)

OH!!! That was a very cruel flip given to the reigning world champions, there, but now, it lands back on its wheels. Storm 2 fights back by getting Seung Mina by its side, lifts it up using the lifter, and€¦
WHAM!
OH!!! Seung Mina gets slammed across the arena! Now, Seung Mina fights back and gets the flipper into action again!
FA-LIP!
OHHHH!!!! Another unmerciful flip is given to Storm 2, and now, Martijn starts sweating. Kody, meanwhile, is pretty much loving this. But Storm 2 starts pushing and shoving Seung Mina and€¦
WHAM!
€¦ drives it right into the saws! BZZT! Sparks fly, and the audience loves it!
WHAM!
OHH!!!! Didn€™t see that coming, did you, Kody? :proud: Storm 2 pushes Seung Mina again, and rams it into the wall! Kody can€™t take it anymore, so he drives Seung Mina€™s flipper underneath the back of Storm 2, and pushes it towards the wall! Shall we, Kody?

After 1 minute into the fight, the Storm dies down.

Nitrogene comes in on the action, with Whirligig spinning up to full speed ahead! It shuffles up to the flipbot and hits it with maximum power on its back!

OHHH!!!! I۪۪m surprised that Nitrogene۪s rear skirt got ripped off, when that was made out of hardox steel! Now, Paul looks concerned, but now, Whirligig spins up again, and smashes into the back armour AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOOOOD!!!! The armour is shredded some more, but now, Nitrogene redeems itself by flipping Whirligig over before it gets up to full speed!
FLIP!!!!
OHHHH!!!!! Fortunately for Steve, Whirligig has bounced off the wall, and back into the arena! Now, Whirligig is spinning up again, and hits the hardox armour AGAIN!
KERRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO!!!!!!! The hardox armour is shredded some more, but Nitrogene is just almost€¦ UNSTOPPABLE!

OH!!!!!! That€™s a nice flip there by Nitrogene! Now, Whirligig€™s rotating ring spins up and€¦

€¦ OH NO, HE€™S RIPPED THE PIT RELEASE TYRE CLEAN OFF!!!!! :angry: :angry: :angry: WHY THE HECK DO THESE ROBOTS KEEP DESTROYING OUR ARENA????? :rofl: The pit release isn€™t a toy, you know. :rofl: I€™m afraid that this we€™ll be the last time we will see the pit release tyre. :rofl: Anyway, Whirligig spins up again, and now, Steve drives the ring right up Nitrogene!

OHHH!!!! The armour is shredded some more, and I think Nitrogene has been immobilized! Yes it has! Whirligig has done it! The countdown begins now!

Now, Whirligig spins down and Paul puts his controls down as Steve dumps him down the pit. BOOM!

Time to avenge her earlier loss, and Tiras loss as well. Whirligigs power has been lowered but is still deadly, however youll still be quite pressed to destroy the armour Stevo, or even shock Mina to death. :wink:
Tactics are to pour on the aggression . Be as aggressive as possible; when he turns, Mina will follow. Just stop that bloody shell from spinning up! (of course, I should try not to overshoot my mark :rofl:) When shes wedged him, CARRY TO PIT! NO OOTAS! The claw at the top should help keep him on the wedge. ...and flip it a few times if it becomes a nuisance.

Whirlys still a nippy bugger for a shuffler. Just scuttle out of harms way, spin up and try to kill it by death as per.
Im a bit dissep off (Kody knows what Ive done, so its a wink to you :wink:) that Nitro took that much damage, when I INFORMED you that it wouldnt do that much damage to me, true it may cause dents to that, but not rip me limb from limb. This was possibly to allow the chance for Seung Mina to avenge itself, and not for me to face it.
Im not annoyed, but when you get the know armour strengths, it becomes so realistic and fairer on the competitors. But can I ask another question:
Why does Whirligig keep getting blows on my back, as if I was LETTING him so. It only points me as looking worried, but not once in that fight did my actual stragety get carried out. I was supposed to him into him WITH MY FRONT and that wouldve given me a fighting chance. But alas - NO.
