Oops. I saw before it said the land of Windmills and thought, The Netherlands has windmills: he comes from there :proud: Sorry, my bad.
O_____________O
good fight Paul :) I think Metallic Doom or Axe to Fall will go next
Roundabouts, windmills, they're very similar things :proud:
Hey, yh. I mean, my uncle lives in the Netherlands, and he gets confused with them all the time :lame: Wouldn't ya know it.
And guess what, I'm extremely bored and have no school work to do, so here goes with the second round only just finished. Enjoy :talker:
ROUND TWO
Nidhogg Cubed vs. Vertigo vs. Wedga Ennea vs. Axe To Fall vs. Metallic Doom
NIGHOGG CUBED VS. VERTIGO VS. WEDGA EENEA VS. AXE TO FALL VS. METALLIC DOOM
Booth #1: Joey McC
Booth #2: Lewis M, AJ
Booth #3: Martijn B, Lian W
Roboteers, stand by!!!

And whoa! AJ is the first out, Wedga Eenea padded back up, coming out head first into Axe To Fall, the main cause of all its abuse. AJ seems intent on taking abuse to the abuser: and with this in mind, the two make contact€¦and Axe To Fall comes out on top once again, as from the rebound of machines, Martijn makes his way to the side, and now the axe slams down again: SMASH! Another hole, but the axe won€™t stsy stuck - back again, and again, and again! Four new holes in the 7mm Ti/V alloy, and now the axe is held fast again as Wedga is powered into the spike strip. Poor old AJ€™s machine taking some more damage! Nidhogg is also out to cause harm now, this time to Metallic Doom; him and Lewis Matthews come speeding in, sandwiching the shufflebot in, and Joey bringing the lifter and crusher into play, as he grapples onto the right hand side of Metallic Doom - not grabbing the pad though - and slams him into the spikes. Metallic Doom may be having a bit of a hard time, but not compared to Wedga Eenea, who€™s being rammed across the arena by the Dutch hammer over the flipping spikes now. FLIP! Barrel roll over the spikes onto the side wall, and the hammers coming in again, AND MORE HOLES AND DENTS! It seems that Axe To Fall indeffinately seems intent on taking down Wedga, but can€™t quite seem to finish him off. Wedga is firing the flipper to try and remove himself from the wall€¦but the persistant Axe To Fall keeps him there, the axe further cutting into the armour. Meanwhile, Nidhogg has let go of Metallic Doom, now letting Vertigo have a shot, but Lian is ready, and hits Vertigo in the side, and the claws close around him; the compact shape of Vertigo fitting well in the claws! Slight creaking of the metal armourment on Vertigo fraining from the strain, but no real damage yet. But now, excellent controlled defensive by Lewis: activating the flipper to loosen a hold on Metallic Doom, before charging in on the attack once more, and ramming him into the spike strip and€¦FLIP! Metallic Doom flies up into the air, landing within the ring but still suffering from the huge attack! Nidhogg hasn€™t done too much yet, being sensible, but now comes on the attack on Axe To Fall, as the axe strikes onto the rollbars, and a massive fold is made! Great attack by Martijn, but now AJ is free, and wants revenge, up behind the axe machine, underneath, and a great flip! Martijn self-rights, but AJ hits in again! Into the spike strip, but the axe slams down again, into the flipper, and AJ now can€™t dispose of the destructive machine. Nidhogg has observed the flipping going on from Vertigo upon Metallic Doom, and charges in to join, but can€™t find an opening to use for his attack. Meanwhile, Wedga Eenea and Axe To Fall are having a little dance, mainly consisting ofAxe To Fall stranded on the wedge, but the axe buried so deep into the flipper that Wedga is finding it hard to shake him off. Vertigo comes in - sick of the constant attacking on the hard to kill Metallic Doom - and just for giggles, throws up the 200kg of Axe To Fall and Wedga Ennea€¦and THEY DO ONE AND A HALF-BARREL ROLLS! Upside-down, the fight is on for both machines to get back up! Meanwhile, Nidhogg, who has done very, very little in this round, is lifting up Metallic Doom, and topples him otherside up, but the invertible shufflebot scutters back, and Joey, desperate for a kill, chases, driving Metallic Doom towards the wall€¦but a quick move there from Lian, puts him side-on to Nidhogg, and Joey is driven into the spike strip - but nevermind that boring ram, the more interesting struggle is whether Axe To Fall and Wedga can self-right! And what€™s being viewed here is Axe To Fall repeatedly firing it€™s weapon, as to Wedga€¦and YES! The axe is dislodged, and both bots self-rgiht finally, albeit extremely weakly, the weapon power presumably extremely low. Straight back up, Wedga goes back to Axe To Fall, but Vertigo is there and rams into Wedga, and throws him up and over€¦is he gone from the arena€¦NO; just smacks into the wall, before rebounding off. The flipper is there to self-right, but barely. Now, back to Nidhogg and Metallic Doom: Lian is powerful, and shunts Nidhogg over the spikes€¦AND UP HE GOES! Nidhogg - flipped from the front, falls backwards, and Metallic Doom powers him forwards€¦and NIDHOGG IS FACING THE WALL! The broken rollbar top isn€™t going to help, and even if it wasn€™t, he€™d still be self-righting into the wall! Meanwhile, Axe To Fall and Wedga arestill battling on, and now Vertigo is on the case. And AJ once more is pinned in, and the hammer comes down, limply, but still scratching the front plate. However, AJ isn€™t going to be in much more trouble in this fight, as Nidhogg hasn€™t gotten free, and the count begins:
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!
Metallic Doom returns to the arena centre, and spins in delight€¦but in comes Lewis€¦rams in under€¦AND THAT IS OUT OF ORDER! Vertigo flicks Metallic Doom up and out the arena! Axe To Fall now backs off the now barely moving Wedga Eenea. After this fight, two things remain uncertain: how much more abuse can Wedga Eenea take, and how much is Lewis going to regret that final attack?
Result:
Nidhogg Cubed may have been cubed€¦but he is now the cube-root of zero!
VERTIGO, WEDGA EENEA, AXE TO FALL AND METALLIC DOOM GO THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND!!!
ROUND THREE
Vertigo vs. Wedga Ennea vs. Axe To Fall vs. Metallic Doom
Send in tactics, predictions, comments and the answer to life the universe, and everything (yes, I know it's 42, but I also want a 'deep, meaningful' answer as well) :proud:
Well I sincerely doubt anyone wants to team-up with me now :P but I'm still open for them if anyone is willing. Metallic Doom seems to be causing me a lot of trouble so I'd like him out really. If I attack him and keep my front facing him there's not really much he can do, because due to his own lack of wedge protection I'll always get underneath him and remove his traction. It should be easy to keep facing him too, seen as I have wheels to his shuffling pads, so I'm more agile. When I'm underneath, push him to the side of the arena and either flip him out or stack him, being careful to never expose my open flipper to him.
Good fight again Paul, and good luck to the others :D
Wicked. Thanx for that Lewis :talker: by the way peeps, there's one place available for the Challenge Belt, but I still need three more for the All-Stars. Once I get the remaining places filled, I will publish the line-up.
And Joey, I need the stats for Falling Down before the other Annihilator can kick off. If they're finished, tell me and I'll take a look :proud:
They are finished, they should be on ZED. I am aware it has something of a weight deficit ;P
 Oh the lightweight. I dunno, for some reason I didn't think it would be that one lol. Thanx,
OK guys, here's another round, delivered a bit later than other by other posts, but yh, just roll with it 8) Hope you like it. Read, enjoy and post feedback if you wish :proud:
ROUND THREE
Vertigo vs. Wedga Ennea vs. Axe To Fall vs. Metallic Doom
VERTIGO VS. WEDGA EENEA VS. AXE TO FALL VS. METALLIC DOOM
Booth #1: Lewis M, AJ
Booth #2: Martijn B, Lian W

And once again they€™re off! Two robots down, both have been caught out being in quiet and confident positions. Therefore, you can see why each of four remaining are all so intent on attacking. And of course the longrunning fued of this competition: Martijn charges Axe To Fall out into the arena centre going after his target - Wedga Eenea - but AJ for some reason is darting away from the axebot - he€™s actually going for Metallic Doom! Vertigo is also going for the shufflebot; maybe the two flippers have worked out the unskirted crusher is the most open to attack, and Lewis is first there, and he smacks straight into claws, getting under, but an attack from AJ knocks the clawed robot off the wedge of the Liverpudlian machine. Now with this collision, Martijn can come in and do what he wants: bring a world of a pain down on Wedga as the axe comes down€¦SMASH! The axe has gone through the armour once more, and now Wedga is at Martijn€™s mercy, as he€™s rammed hard into the spike strip. Meanwhile, Vertigo finally has got underneath Metallic Doom€¦and a push towards the wall is the plan, but Lewis can€™t; the wedge is underneath but isn€™t taking the traction off the ground, and is therefore being grabbed in the jaws. Lewis quinces as he takes a few small nicks in the side armour. The flipper is activated, but it€™s not opening: we can presume that Lian€™s grip on it is keeping the flipper from opening. Meanwhile, speaking of flipper not opening, Wedga Eenea is now free from Axe To Fall, and in possibly the first moment of Axe To Fall in genuine danger, Wedga gets onto the side of Axe To Fall with his backend, and is now pushing him across the arena with fantastic power€¦BANG! The pit is descending as the button gets pressed. Wedga however has to back off, due to the 30 second pinning. Metallic Doom still refuses to get the grip off of Vertigo, and still remains intent on ramming him about the arena, first into the wall by the spinning disc, but not yet into the disc€¦but that is NOW what Lian is doing€¦BANG! A slam in on the rear armour, but that€™s OK, as the Hardox takes the abuse well. Meanwhile, Axe To Fall is back on the attack on Wedga, but AJ drives into the arena centre now, and looks about to try and get a line-in on Axe To Fall, and try and take him to the pit. But before this can happen, Vertigo is has now got Metallic Doom off the ground, and flicks him away, doing a double somersault in the air! Lian watches his machine spin like a coin in the air, landing finally tail side up, and Vertigo is now no longer there - he zips across the ring, under the rear of Wedga, and throws him straight over: two fantastically controlled, aggressive, stylish attacks from Mr Matthews. Wedga is trying to self-right, but Lian is in - the robot self-rights into his claws, as they close and drive Wedga in the direction of the pit€¦BUT NOT QUITE HITTING IT IN! Wedga is still up there, but in danger of going out, as he€™s pinned against the wall! But look at this: FLIP! What a move by Wedga, self-righting over the top of Metallic Doom, but an even greater counter-attack by Lian: he goes into reverse, slamming Metallic Doom into another wall! But what else is going on! Axe To Fall, presumably flicked over by Vertigo from a previous attack, and now the battles split has been redefined here, as Axe To Fall makes a bee-line back towards Vertigo; Martijn rams the front with enough force to get under it! And the axe comes hacking down as Vertigo is slammed against the wall€¦and NOW the vulnerability of an invertible robot is exploited: the axe goes into the front-right wheel-house of Vertigo! Has it cause any damage to the drivetrain of the rightly named €˜Liverpudlian launcher€™ at all? Speaking of launching, up goes Metallic Doom again, this time from the power of Wedga, getting another good attack here in: it seems like Wedga Eenea is becoming a force in this Annihilator finally. Axe To Fall has backed off now, because as we can now see, Vertigo is only moving in a circle to the left, and the 50% drive rule is now coming into effect, as we sadly say goodbye to the rightfully named €˜Liverpudlian Launcher€™.
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!
But it€™s still not over yet! Wedga Eenea is pushing Metallic Doom towards the wall€¦but great control from Lian spins him off the flipper, and now the pushingon the side of Wedga towards the arena centre of the arena. The claws take a hold, as Axe To Fall also slams in from the other side, creating a sandwich as the axe slams down once more€¦AND ONCE AGAIN GAS IS LEAKING OUT! AJ€™s machine is still surviving, with more damage.
Result:
Vertigo gets terrified of his great height€¦and thus he falls!
WEDGA EENEA, AXE TO FALL AND METALLIC DOOM GO THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND!!!
ROUND FOUR
Wedga Ennea vs. Axe To Fall vs. Metallic Doom
OK, tactics, predictions, comments, more sign-ups (still unchanged since last time, so yh, reply to that if you wish) and your views on The Apprentice, and it's winner if you know who it is :proud:
Damn :P excellent fight though Paul :) I'll predict Metallic Doom to go on and win the annihilator, it is after all the lovechild of annihilator winnign designs Drill Zilla and Kan Opener :P
Whoop, i held on, that's a shock for me, i was sure i was gonna end up failing badly, good to see im wrong
Metallic Doom vs Axe to Fall vs Wedga Ennea
Team up mr AJ?
I would be willing to enter that last spot in All-Stars if you're still looking for someone.
Sure. :)Quote:
Team up mr AJ?
Nice battles so far, Paul.
You mean Challenge Belt - I've still got three more available for the All-Stars which you are more than welcome to enter if you wish :talker: If so, then just give me robot stats, name of town you're from, and ofc yourself :proud:
Alright peeps. I'm off to the Isle of Wight tomorrow, and I will literally not be in contact with anything electronic or leisurely i.e. a television, a laptop or a computer for a week, as I will be camping in a field...trust me, it's more fun than it sounds :proud: Basically, the Annihilator final most likely, unless I get serious inspiration and write a gripping, fantastically violent, beautifully gory fight before 7:00 tomorrow morning, won't be getting it until next week. If any of my robots while I'm away end up in fights before then, just assume what my tactics may be, don't bother waiting for me for tactics, because tbh, my tactics won't normally do poo anyway :lame:
I've got a round coming along, which is the penultimate Annihilator round, and also the line-up for the Challenge Belt. Whoever Parassyte is (A lot of you may know, I however don't) may I please take his name/robot for the Challenge Belt asap please :talker:
Anyways, enjoy this fight, and go to the bottom for line-ups for the Challenge Belt, which are coming straight after the Annihilator final :uhoh: As said, enjoy, and remember to sign-up for the All-Stars while you're there.
ROUND FOUR
Wedga Ennea vs. Axe To Fall vs. Metallic Doom
WEDGA EENEA VS. AXE TO FALL VS. METALLIC DOOM
Booth #1: AJ
Booth #2: Martijn B, Lian W
Roboteers, stand by!!!

With only two more machines left to fall, the pressure is on here, for victory in this Annihilator; and straight away we see AJ surprisingly keeping away from dashing into the arena centre, unlike Metallic Doom, and Axe To Fall. The two fore-mentioned machines do a little spin in the arena centre, each one trying to use it€™s weaponry side-on to each machine. But Wedga is now charging in, and he€™s going for his main threat in this entire competion, which is of course the Dutch hammer Axe To Fall: it looks here like Axe To Fall has been targeted for elimination in this round. Wedga comes charging in with the massively powerful CO2 flipper, gets around the side of the axe machine, and is in underneath€¦AND WHAT A LAUNCH! Axe To Fall flies€¦and then, ironically falls, smacks on the floor. But Martijn is well controlled to fire the axe to self-right himself before the duo of others can get another attack in. But Axe To Fall now has some time to reap some revenge in the onlyt way he has done throughout this Annihilator - charging at the side of Wedga, the axe machines smacks straight under. Wedga is defensive here: he activates the flipper, but that doesn€™t work, as he says on the front of the axebot€¦BUT THE INSIDES ARE VULNERABLE HERE! SMASH!! And he€™s done it again; Martijn€™s machine - by far the most destructive machine in this competition - has taken out the gas bottle of Wedga, for the third time in this Annihilator! And now AJ€™s offensive capability is seriously reduced. Lian maintains a safe distance away, as the axe returns from the slash left in the gas panel, as Wedga is rammed against the wall. But the ram is of such force that the machine is tipped up on its side! And it seems that nothing more can save Wedga now: AJ winces from his control booth, simultaneous with Martijn smiling, as he hacks away at the exposed base plate of Wedga Eenea - four holes in the base plate inself, one hit going into the wheel arch, so even if he gets knocked down, the drive will he seriously damaged. Martijn has to back off, as ordered by the arena marshalls, and as he does, Lian finally rams into the fallen team-up partner, knocking him down from the wall€¦and yes, Axe To Fall€™s persistence after four rounds has paid off, as the weaponless, and barely moving in a rightwards circle Wedga Eenea is prime bait to be counted out!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!
Axe To Fall and Metallic Doom are in the final!! But Lian and Martijn aren€™t finished yet; Metallic Doom is driving full on at Axe To Fall, and Martijn is ready for him, as he fires the axe at the claws, getting a hold on them. But here€™s where the shuffling pads comes into effect, as the axe machine is dragged back by the claw bot into the arena centre€¦and driven into the arena wall€¦SMACK! The force of that hasn€™t put the spikes through the polycarbonate body, but damage is been caused. However, that is nothing compared to the damage done to Wedga Eenea, who has fought bravely, but wasn€™t able to survive for much longer against Axe To Fall€¦but now we have our two finalists!!
Result:
Wedga Eenea won€™t be joining his fellow Greek Gods in Olympus!
AXE TO FALL AND METALLIC DOOM GO THROUGH TO THE ANNIHILATOR FINAL!!!
ANNIHILATOR FINAL
Axe To Fall vs. Metallic Doom
The Challenge Belt is fast approaching. In order to decide the first holder of the Challenge Belt, I picked the one not necessarily with the most E.O.T.R experience, but with the most general experience. Therefore, Gehenna 2 is the first holder for obvious reasons; oh come on, if you're a vapourboteer, then you know about Son Of Ripper, and also Gehenna  . Here are therefore the line-ups for the Challenge Belt. Get tactics in asap, and Parassyte, need you're robot please.
Challenge Belt:
Gehenna 2 vs. Eye Of Ran III
??? vs. The Servants Assistant
??? vs. Munch
??? vs. Flick Of The Wrist
??? vs. Delirium Tremors
??? vs. Macduff The 5th
??? vs. Exotherm
??? vs. [Parassyte entrant]
Send in tactics, predictions, comments and an address for me to send a postcard to you from the Isle of Wight :proud:
Wooo hoo. My 3rd final this year, lets make it 2/3 victories
From the start. Charge him head on and grab him and just dont let go, once i have him, i can push him where ever i please. His ax
is worrying, but with my armour, it should not even leave a dent (Fingers crossed) Also i have the shuffling pads and traction on
my side. So grab and pit is the order of the day
Good Luck Marti :D
Pardon the comment but...the two most unlikely bots made it through to the final? Regardless, well done with the fights thus far Paul. :)
Right, uh...I think I'll pick Axe to Fall to damage the shuffling pads and KO Lian's bot. I think Metallic Doom might have a hard time grasping hold of the Dutch machine too, all sides of the robot are rounded. Martijn to win.
Yes I am now back from the Isle of Wight. It was awesome. However, I can't get to sleep. Here a battle for you to appreciate :proud:
ANNIHILATOR FINAL
Axe To Fall vs. Metallic Doom
AXE TO FALL VS. METALLIC DOOM
Booth #1: Lian W
Booth #2: Martijn B
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
And the final of the first E.O.T.R Annihilator is underway. And Axe To Fall is starting off as the aggressor, as he charges at the right hand claw of Metallic Doom€¦Lian looks pensive as he€™s unsure as to what will happen€¦but we can see what has happened now: Axe To Fall is underneath the shufflebot, and is driving him across the arena into the wall! Lian looks worried, and he should be, as Martijn activates his horrific hacking device that has been responsible for taking out so many machines in this Annihilator€¦SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! A continual stream of hits, as the axes head slices cleanly into 6mm Titanium shell! And Martijn is trying now to finish here - remember that if he can immobilise one of the pads, it€™s ALL over - but now has to back-off due to pinning. Martijn backs into the arena centre€¦FOLLOWED BY METALLIC DOOM! The axe clearly didn€™t hit anything major, as Lian comes driving in on the attack, but Martijn is ready€¦RAMS STRAIGHT INTO THE SIDE AND BRING THE AXE DOWN! What a performance so far from Martijn, and the axe comes down€¦ONTO THE PAD!! This is now all going wrong for the surprise package so far in this Annihilator, as a hole in formed in the pad, but Lian is quick to spin away. Good stylish 180 spin to get away from further damage, but so far, Lian has a lot of catching up to do. Axe To Fall makes another charge€¦and Lian is now on the run, but is a bit slower at 15mph to the 18mph of this pursuer. Axe To Fall catches up, but Lian is done yet€¦a quick spin whacks Axe To Fall off-course€¦and over the flipping spikes!! FLIP! Axe To Fall does a barrel roll against the wall. That was a poor attack from Axe To Fall, and now Metallic Doom is in on the side of overturned machine. The axe pushes away the machine, so now Axe To Fall is the right way up, but Lian is finally on the attack, and is now able TO GET THE CLAWS INTO PLAY!! And there are the claws slicing through the 15mm Polycarbonate body like nothing: this is the first - and so far only - damage sustained by the Dutch hammer throughout this Annihilator. This is painful to watch for Martijn, but great for Lian - this is the attack he€™s been waiting for! Martijn is now allowed to drive away and does so very speedily, but we don€™t know the full extent of that damage aside from the large gaping crevice in the side of Axe To Fall. Martijn is now on the run, as Lian comes in on the attack again, doing a headlong assault on the axe machine. And this time it works, as Axe To Fall is driven back onto the spike strip hard. The spikes haven€™t come through the shell, but Axe To Fall is still pinned. Martijn fires the axe€¦which is surprisingly limp. The axe barely hits down with enough force to hit the Titanium, unusual for a machine that has been as destructive as this throughout the Annihilator. BUT WE CAN SEE WHY; NITROGEN IS LEAKING FROM THE CREVICE!! This means Lian has done all he needs to! Axe To Fall has gone from being the most dominant machine to being on the back foot. Metallic Doom goes to the pit release button, with the axe machine in his clutches€¦but Martijn is able to get away! Good control now from Martijn€¦and suddenly some aggression as he rams into the claws, and performs the attacking trick from the start once more€¦Metallic Doom is now once again caught on the body of Axe To Fall€¦SMASH into the pit release button, as the fight goes into the final 10 seconds!!
10€¦9€¦
Martijn seems so close to victory, but he can€™t seem to move Metallic Doom around yet€¦
€¦8€¦7€¦
Axe To Fall is now wriggling, but further closer to pitting him!
€¦6€¦5€¦
Axe To Fall drives forward, and Metallic Doom is knocked from the wall, but has his back exposed to Axe To Fall€™s final shove!!
€¦4€¦3€¦
Metallic Doom can€™t seem to get any more grip, as he is shoved€¦ONTO THE EDGE OF THE PIT!!
€¦2€¦1€¦CEASE!!
What a final!! Both machines unpitted and still working, so it€™s down to the judges to choose from Axe To Fall and Metallic Doom for the winner of the first of our two Annihilators. Who will it be?
JD - The scores:
Dominance: The beginning of the match was complexly dominated by Axe To Fall. The ending of the battle was very much in favour of Axe To Fall. The battles middle however, was very even, with moments of Axe To Fall in control, but also times of Metallic Doom in dominance. This goes slightly in favour of Axe To Fall, purely based on the match ending.
Axe To Fall: 3 x 6 = 18
Metallic Doom: 2 x 6 = 12
Damage: While Axe To Fall did create a copule of pepperpot holes in Axe To Fall at the start, and also got a hit in on Metallic Doom€™s shuffling pads, Axe To Fall lost it€™s weapon and take serious cosmetic damage.Due to this fact, and also the fact that Metallic Doom sustained no important damages, Axe To Fall scores lowly for this section
Axe To Fall: 1 x 5 = 5
Metallic Doom: 4 x 5 = 20
Aggression: Throughout the fight, Axe To Fall did become very aggressive, mostly during the beginning and ends of the fight. Metallic Doom did perfom some aggressive moves, such as pinning and also causing the serious damages to Axe To Fall. However, Metallic Doom was very reserved, hence the fact that Axe To Fall nearly clean sweeps this category.
Axe To Fall: 4 x 4 = 20
Metallic Doom: 1 x 4 = 4
Strategy: Both robots had a simple strategy of damaging the opponent while avioiding damage to themselves. Both machines managed this, but Metallic Doom managed it best. Therefore, Metallic Doom slightly edges this section.
Axe To Fall: 2 x 3 = 6
Metallic Doom: 3 x 3 = 9
Control: Both machines had very good moments of aggressive driving, but also good defensive driving. The two main deciding factors is Martijn€™s poor control by driving over the flipping spikes and allowing Metallic Doom to take out the weaponry. However, Axe To Fall nearly pitting Metallic Doom right at the end earns some credit. The section is again nearly level, but Axe To Fall scrapes it for the better overall control through the match.
Axe To Fall: 3 x 2 = 6
Metallic Doom: 2 x 2 = 4
Style: It€™s controversial how to mark this section, as both machines did use stylish forms of control and attacking. Axe To Fall did have the more interesting method of attack, but Metallic Doom had better control, and showed off the main method of attack more effectively.
Axe To Fall: 1 x 1 = 1
Metallic Doom: 4 x 1 = 4
Totals:
Axe To Fall: 57
Metallic Doom: 53
And that is one of the cloest decisions yet! It€™s a 4 point margin: the winner is AXE TO FALL!
Result:
Metallic Doom is doomed to be Metallic scrap!!
AXE TO FALL WINS THE E.O.T.R ANNIHILATOR!!!
And with this note, the first Annihilator match is done  What a tiring experience it was. And now, the Challenge Belt begins. If you're still not aware of the line-up, here you are again:
Challenge Belt:
Gehenna 2 vs. Eye Of Ran III
??? vs. The Servants Assistant
??? vs. Munch
??? vs. Flick Of The Wrist
??? vs. Delirium Tremors
??? vs. Macduff The 5th
??? vs. Exotherm
??? vs. [Parassyte entrant]
If I don't have Parassyte's entrant before the 2nd match - between the holder of The Servant's Assistant - then I will kill that spot and leave it open to someone else  Oh yh, I'm, also still waiting on All Star entrants...still unchanged :x C'mon peeps, I don't bite
So everyone, tactics, predictions, comments and a REALLY nice cool bed in the warm summer 8) (Oh yeeeeah) 8)
Don't know what I can do about bed, tbh :P but w00t for Marti's win. :)
Gehenna 2 vs. Eye Of Ran II
There exists no 3, so EoR2 will have to do. Seeing as Terrorhurtz managed to put some good size dents in Gehenna, Eye of Ran should do quite more damage.
Keep it up Paul. :)
Eye of Ran II vs. Gehenna
hi Andy! *waves*
As Kody has pointed out, due to my unceasing incompetence I am using EoR II here. My strategy is fairly simple, really just use the back wedge of the robot to keep Gehenna away until the blade is spun up, which should take about two seconds, and then hit it repeatedly until such a time as further hits become unnecessary or impossible. Good luck Andy ^^
Right guys, WAZZZZZZUUUUUUP! Yes, I have been watching the Annoying Orange, I'm so cool :proud:
Guess what? First Challenge Belt battle! Guess what else, sadly I am an impatient being and thus I have cleared Parassyte's place due to not only getting no robot but also not a name or location - THAT takes a piddle a bit too much :? And guess what else, another Challenge Belt space is open, but also the same number of All-Star places STILL available - come on guys, PLEASE!!
Anyway, enjoy, and sign-up please :talker:

From Bourne, Lincolnshire, Gehenna 2!!
Entered by AJ
The grandson of Ripper, here comes a machine continue the family tradition: kicking ro-butt! Here we have n interest wedge shape with slanted out sides to make getting underneath from the sides that little bit trickier than the standard wedge. The machine is also packing a punch, both with the 16mph speed coming from motors providing great push against it€™s competitors, and with the weaponry it possesses: here we have a front forward-hindged flipper used to push robots great distances across the floor in a beautiful flying arc that many rear-hindged flipper would be jealous of, as well as the drum at the rear, useful for deflecting opponents away with it€™s 5kj output. Finishing this robot off is 6mm thick Titanium/Vanadium alloy, making it hard to get into, but a 10mm rear clearance is open for any flippers strong enough to get underneath.
From Pontefract, Eye Of Ran II!!

Where does this robots name come from? I dunno, but if you see Eye Of Ran, you better start running! This T-shaped robot of doom is equipped with a deadly bar weapon: a deadly 30kg metre long spinning bar that blends Flywheel logic - by using weight reducing holes to make the outer edge of the blade heavier - with a bar€™s raw power to hit hard and fast - spinning at 2500rpm - and giving off 106kj per hit from those curved teeth shaped hammers at each end of bar! This robot has speed as well, being at 12mph and capable of fantastic acceleration away from it€™s predator, as well as towards it€™s prey, and the 2 wheel drive with both wheels mounted at the front make it easy to keep the blade pointed towards it€™s target! But even if it€™s caught, the 4mm Hardox shell with Polycarbonate overlayer over a Ti/V box section chassis make this a tough not to crack. Rear/side wedges serve as additional weapons to push with, and it€™s nearly impossible to attack this robot without being hit by the blade, but underneath the blade is a 5mm ground clearance and in a straight pushing match this robot could find itself staring defeat in the face.
Booth #1: AJ
Booth #2: Joey M
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
And the first Challenge Belt contest is underway€¦and AJ is straight out of the traps here, the drum spinning, driving in as Joey faces his rear wedge towards Gehenna 2, and powers on as the blade spins: they collide, but GEHENNA IS UNDER AS THE BLADE HITS THE FLOOR! And it€™s a beautiful sight, as Joey machine flies away across the arena as the blade makes sparks fly up from the arena floor! AJ€™s got off to a good start and aims to keep this up as he speeds off after the Challenger at slightly greater speed€¦but the blade is now fully spun up, making a doodlebug noise of doom! AJ charges as Joey turns around€¦BOOM! Oh my days!! The front flipper of Gehenna is nearly peeled straight off from that hit! This weapon on Eye Of Ran is mighty! Already into this battle the Challenge Belt holder - the mark of a warrior - is on the backfoot! But Aj isn€™t giving up as he goes in once more, this time attacking the side of panels€¦but this plan is hard for AJ to make work; Eye Of Ran€™s turning system is making it hard to get at the sides, as Joey constantly turns around - using the bar as a point to turn round - to keep AJ in front of him. It€™s now Joey€™s turn to attack, as he lunges at the side of Gehenna€¦but nothing as dramatic as the first hit, just a long deep cut forms in the side plate, but the nearly torn off front is still serious hurt caused here. AJ turns once more and comes on a brave - or foolish - headlong charge, but the bar is spinning at full speed once more€¦BANG! And there goes the front flipper plate, as well as AJ most effective tactic ploy; the armoury around the front is still there but all the mechanics on display through a great hole in the Ti/V front! But does this stop AJ, you bet it doesn€™t as he comes ramming back in, this time using the rear drum: and whilst it isn€™t quite the same weaponry power as the bar AJ is using it well on the sides of the T shaped machine, as he stratches away on the side wedges the way a cat scratches on a scratch pole. Not greatly terrifying, and AJ€™s more powerful robot can€™t seem to push Eye Of Ran; whenever AJ reverses in for a shove he just seems to ride up the side wedge a bit, taking away his traction€¦but AJ€™s losing control here, as he rams in, but rides up the wedge€¦HE€™S GONE ALL THE WAY UP IT! HE€™S STUCK! AND JOEY TURNS HIS BAR SPINNER AROUND TO THE EXPOSE UNDERBELLY€¦A sickening tear, and the rubber tread of a wheel flies off - it€™s urethane rubber, meaning it€™s been torn clean off the wheel hub of Gehenna€¦and now Gehenna is near weaponless, and already nearing the countdown! But Joey€™s not finished! He rams in on the rear! SMASH! Another clean cut in the rear panel, but in he comes again! SMASH! And now the plate is gone€¦but something€™s flown out with it - it looks quite small€¦it€™s the safety link!! And now the Challenge Belt holder has to already give it up, as the highly impressive Eye Of Ran powers down, eyed up by the audience€¦and the future challengers!

EYE OF RAN II STEALS THE CHALLENGE BELT!!!
MATCH: TWO
Eye Of Ran II vs. The Servant€™s Assistant
Send in tactics, predictions, comments and a number - 8) from 1 to 10, 10 being the best 8) - on how cool I am for opening this post with an Annoying Orange mention :proud:
Nice battle, Paul, and well done to Joey for the win. :)
FYI, I believe that Parassyte is Mr. Nick Schuch of North Carolina.
I think Eye of Ran II will hold on to the Challenge Belt against The Servant's Assistant.
Yeah, gotta agree with Andy here. Eye of Ran to keep the belt. Brilliant battle there, btw. :)
If you would like me to, I can fill in those gaps you have in for you! ^^Quote:

Throw V'Ger in Challenge Belt, Mobile Failure in the All-Stars. If you want it RIGHT full, throw SOTAR in too. ^^ (I think they both fit the qualifications as such, orz...)
You may find all them here!
Brooks, Alberta, Canada represent~ (I moved recently and am too lazy to change my location to the box of info to the left, so sue me. :P)
Hey Tracy, thank you! Sadly tho, it is one All Star replace per contestant. However, with the tournument structure currently in place, I can make it work with 9 robots as opposed to 12 - the latter made it sound that bit more exciting :proud:
I'm guessing your stats are on the same board as mine (strickenone), so I'll look them up.
btw, because you put Mobile Failure first, I'm gonna put that down as your All-Star Entry, if you have no complaints. And also, screw waiting for an extra 3 ppl, the All-Stars line-up will be posted AFTER Tracy has given me an indication that Mobile Failure is REALLY the All-Star she wants.
btw Tracy: THANK YOU :proud:
Having read the latest fights after getting back from holidays, I have to point out that Metallic Doom actually won the annihilator based on the judge's decision :P
Although the fight was really good, Axe To Fall's score actually adds up to 56, and he was scored incorrectly for aggression (4 x 4 equals 16, not 20), so Axe To Fall actually scores 52 next to Metallic Doom's 53 :)
Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, just pointing out a human mistake :)
Crap, you're right. If you think that's bad, two additonal points: I've got a B in GCSE Maths :lame: and also I should've notice my total judges scores are 105, and both the robots scores added to 110. :lame: x2
So, oops everyone. Correction here:

Axe To Fall has fallen down€¦hard!!
METALLIC DOOM WINS THE E.O.T.R ANNIHILATOR!!!
Yes, thank you Lewis. Hope you had a great holiday, and looking forward to reading your battles in MM :proud:
I'll get the next battle up asap, and also the All-Stars line-up once I've got full confirmation from Tracy.
Seeing as SOTAR was an afterthought, I don't think she would cry if it was left out. :P
Quite right. ^^ I only mentioned SOTAR in case you wanted to fill more spots or something!Quote:

OK. In that case I'll get the line-up of the All-Stars up here.
For structure, it is exactly the same as the version previously planned except instead of 3 x 4 way melees with 2 going through, it's 3 x 3 way melees with 2 going through.
Here's your All-Stars line-up which shall commence AFTER the Challenge Belt :proud:
All Stars:
ROUND ONE:
Gabriel V vs. Wedginator X vs. Mobile Failure 2.5
Equinox vs. Empty Inside vs. All Bar One
Psychosis vs. Hypertension Mk.3 vs. Back To Rock III
Send in tactics, predictions, and all that other good stuff :proud:
Um...same tactics against TSA as for Gehenna, really ;P good fight Paul, and bad luck Andy.
And...you haven't, have you...no...XD
Joey...Tracy...what do you say we have a house robot beating fest before starting on each other? :proud:
Not going for any team-ups here. Wedginator can hold his own in melees. :)
I don't know Kody (in reference to your previous point), Gabriel's point could get underneath the front of Wedginator easily I think and the sides and rear are high off the ground, and the version of Envy that Wedginator X is based on had trouble with driving because the shape meant a lot of the weight was forward of the wheels, which screwed the turning up...
This is an awful fight to write tactics for because it involves two of my very best friends and awesome people, and Failure and Gabriel have their own moe-bot thing going on XD erm...my tactics are as follows:
1) Attack house robots with Failure and Wedginator. ^^
2) When the business of 1) is finished, it depends what's happening really. I'm open to being teamed up with but really don't want to be teamed up against, hehe...
IF THERE ARE NO TEAMINGS AT ALL: Flip, stay away from hazards, and concentrate on not going out and generally attack indiscriminately both Failure and Wedginator, avoiding their wedges and getting one or the other out ASAP.
IF THERE IS A TEAM UP INVOLVING ME: Go with that and go against the bot not involved in the teamup. ;P
IF THERE IS A TEAM UP AGAINST ME: Go for Wedginator - it is, objectively, the robot Gabriel has a better chance against as I might well be able to outmanoeuvre it and get to the sides (see first paragraph) and it's far easier for Gabriel to get under Wedginator than vice versa (Wedginator's side and rear ground clearance is appetising, metaphorically speaking, and the front blade will be easily got under by Gabriel's front point if the two meet at any angle due to surface area) and generally get it out of the fight, preferably down the pit rather than out of the arena. Failure's weapon shouldn't do much to the angled armour or thick ears but I'll try not to let it have a chance to.
Best of luck to all of you though ^_^
GABRIEL WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY: ...I...I'm sorry Failure...I don't want to hurt you too much, alright? please don't h-hurt me too much either...s-same with you Wedginator, you might be a psychopath but I do like y-you...sorry...
That depends on a number of things. Surface area rule is indeed one of them, then there's how much weight is resting on that point (in fact you were the one who said Wedginator is front heavy) but do consider the possibility that NEITHER robot gets underneath the other. In such an event, only meeting Wedginator DIRECTLY will allow Gabriel to push it away (Gabriel having slightly higher voltage for its A40-300s [yeah, they're called that now :P]), otherwise, if the point meets my blade at any other way, Gabriel is going to be pushed aside, and I'll be able to get under the nosecone from the side. :)Quote:
Gabriel's point could get underneath the front of Wedginator easily I think
Fair enough, but ground clearance doesn't truly determine the winner, even in a battle of flippers. Skirts aren't 100% reliable. And who says you'll even get to them anyway, checking both stats closely *I* seem to have the more controlled drive, if not being faster than yours, anyway.Quote:
and the sides and rear are high off the ground
...I'm pretty sure there have been many 2WD robots (including vapours) with heavier fronts that have had little problems driving around. People who put ballasts in the front of their robots, for example (even if there's nothing for the ballast to balance out)Quote:
and the version of Envy that Wedginator X is based on had trouble with driving because the shape meant a lot of the weight was forward of the wheels, which screwed the turning up...
That is all. :)
I knew they were called A40-300s, I told you that when it happened, hehe ;P I've just been too endemically lazy to update all the stats pages to reflect that.
Your first point's decent although I don't know about Wedginator having the more controlled drive as there's nothing saying I need to use the top speed ;P and the range of angles would be a bit bigger than directly head on, then there's the skirts...your second point about the skirts not being 100% is fair enough though. The third point I would argue since there's a *big* difference between adding a bit of ballast to keep the front weighed down at the calculated expense of some traction, and what the issue with Envy was which was that the shape itself was inherently quite badly balanced more so than adding ballast to a normal robot would have managed.
Anyway, let's settle this in the arena ^^ hehe
Hate to burst yer bubble guys, but no house robots, so team up on house robots...is pretty irrelevant
THAT'S UNFAIR
erm...attack either one, though Gabriel more since if he 'wedges' me I'll likely fall right off the side. :P stay well away from the pit, try and get them OOTA
after the match we gang up on Paul for not allowing house robots in it
Tictacs:
I should be able to get up to near enough 500 rpm before anyone gets too close so I'll be difficult to hold onto/be flipped without the opposition taking a fair whack. Translate away from the big scary disc behind me into more open space and increase spin speed to the maximum 2000 rpm if possible. Then attack whoever's closest, aiming to remove the opponents skirt's  and bending weapon arms so they can't get under me as easily..
Should I stop spinning, ram things into hazards until I get a chance to run away and spin up again.
Unless, of course anyone want's to team up :proud:
Predictions:
I'd say Gabriel V, Wedginator X and Hypertension to go through due to the lowish walls.
Not sure about the other one but I would like Psychosis to go through because it can't get under me
Good luck to all.
If you want to I'd happily team up Jordan! :)
Regardless of whether the answer is yes or no, I'll keep my distance from All Bar One - Equinox doesn't like spinners. I'll focus my attacks on Empty Inside - my forks should breach it's skirts relatively easily, and then I can clamp it and feed it to All Bar One or pit it.
Good luck guys! :)
