Pay for half of it each and split the stuff between the both of you. Done and done

Intrested in the pneumatic stuff, may buy it. Thanks Alex
I will have the single acting silinder and any bits the at fits onto or with it
Ben (Hard Time) if you bidd for it then I will pick up my bits and give you a few Quid then we can work out the price for postage or pickup etc for other people who want it.
Look at the picture closly the cylinders are corroded. Don't buy it
did some upgrades and repairs for the whitwick event.
Bruiser did quite well at whitwick, great job on your second robot. I realised that I'd met you before at Norwich, I gave you my DX5 to use in Armadillo, completely forgot the name and face at the time, really sorry about that :P
Yeh Thanks again for lending me the remotecontrol
I'm getting reddy for the uk champs at the moment, I'm fixing it and Improving the motor mounts and it overal strength. I also have been doing weapon testing for my new BW (nameless at the moment)
heres a link to some photos of Bruiser

I will put up some more resent photos some time this week, also you can see the melted wiring in some of the pics.
Done some work on a new bettle weight (shame there no arena) and I have sorted the pnumatics (but its still a little leaky) and did some frame work (that I will finish off at school to tomorrow.
I have done loads of work on the beetle resently, and this week end, ben (aka hard time) gave me a hand sorting out the low presure pnumatics.... and one know of a light weight high presure solonoid valve??? thanks!
Alex, couyld you please upload the pics
also, is the system airtight yet and does the valve work?
yeh im goint to upload the to photo bucket, or what ever you call it, and no, i havent had time to sort out the leaks...
im building a beetle with a spinning drum, and was wondering if the name Rocky was taken??? thanks
I have added a new wedge to Bruiser: http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h46 ... C-orig.jpg
and hopefully I will be adding spikes to the back soon (pretty inifective, I know :? ) lol
and I have neally finished my beetle weight flipper's shell:
http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h46 ... 1-orig.jpg
but I still need to finish of the internals...
Thats a nicely made wedge, and your beetle looks great, 2 parts Little Flipper, 1 part Explosion. Do you do your own metal bending ?
both look great!
yeh, I bent most of it but I didnt bend one strip which is out of view (because it is coved up by the lid) and that strip was bent for me by the company that gave me the metal.
And i did the pneumatics for it! :proud:
haha yeh you did help me with the pnumatics in the beetle... but sadly I wont be useing that set up, because it could only lift about 400 grams.... so im going to either upgrade it to full presure, or make some fancy system useing springs and elastics...
full pressure
yeh, i want to make it full presure, but its really expensive, and for all the pnumatics it weighs over a kilo, so the only way i could make it work is by giveing the robot legs so it gets the weight allowence... so its a bit to complicated for my first beetle... lol
With a meaty enough spring you could easily chuck 1.3kg around, surely? Problem is resetting it... how did Diotor do theirs way back in the RW days?
Could copy the way the Battle Ratz do it, I have some photos on my photo bucket the way they do it, it uses a combination of a hook attached to the flipper arm and a motor to catch it.
Diotor used a hydrualic ram to pull it back down.
I think a Beetle with a flipper will be lamb to the slaughter.....
Can I have a link to the photo bucket page??? it would be nice to have a look at the mecinism in the battle Ratz... and I made a test flipper about half a years ago, using elstic bands and and a servo powered winch, but it took about 20 seconds to re set the flipper, so its a little to slow....
Bruiser is now ready for the worthing event, but sadly we couldnt have a steel wedge on the back as well, but bruiser would be about 2kg over weight... lol

New wedge looks good!
how much does it weight?
last time i was around at alex's it weighed 13.546 kg, but with the new wedge it will weight about 14.5kg unless he's taken the lead acid battery out.
