I should have 1 chassy/body still left, I´ll look it up and make a pic.
Meantime have a look at my new website! :proud:

Having fun with VDS 6kg robot!

Poor radios being beaten up so specularly like that.
Just asking, would anybody be interested of a (spinner) kilobot how to/build video?
Would be cool if you'd mount those small spy-cameras and stream the video to a screen when driving offroad with the smaller ones :)
i would be intereested in a video, since your featherweight one was so good :proud:
Just a little updat on the offroad robot.

Nice :)
With all the snow lately I was looking at attempting some sort of tracked robot. Been looking at the pics of yours - how do you transmit the turning of the motors to the tracks? Are you just using friction drive on to the main belt section of the tracks?
Oh and I have my own ideas as to how to build a spinner kilobot but I would never say no to a video :)
Yeah, im just using friction drive, its most reliable. Drive wheel has a inner tube from a (motor)bike on it.
Awesome, thanks. And what did you use for the track itself? Is it rubber off a treadmill or something?
I've done some research into building home-made tracks but the tracks on your machines seem much simpler!
yes, i would like to a video.Quote:

Miniroll is looking very effective, I wonder where you got the inspiration for it :proud:
Just watched your How to... video pt 3. Neat solution with micro switches!
Do you know what sort of current they can handle?
Hi, depends on the switches you get. I think that mine were rated at 10A, been using them for a long time, and havent had any problems.
Does anyone happen to know which material can take harder hits after vaccuum forming?
HDPE vs. makrolon/lexan
material thickness is about 1-2mm
I think that hdpe would be tougher?!
HDPE is more flexable than polycarbonate. 1-2mm HDPE is just going to bend and flex back, but that means the stuff behind the HDPE gets the impact.
Been building some robots for the Finnish robot combat event on 16.04
Also been busy building a new buggy!

Testing the drive system for my new 150g combat robot.
Using 2 speedhacked hxt 900 servos.
I think i forgot the video?!

Also some pics of the 150g ant i made today, as you can see its almost finished!

looking good :) any chance you'll be able to make it to an aws sometime?
It does, I'm impressed :)
Tested a HDD motor with normal brushless esc today, works well!
May be useful in some future projects....

What kind of motor do you use for the robot's spinner near the top of the page?
I think it was this one!

Thanks, looks like a good motor
Im ready for one (mystery) competition abroad this weekend! :proud: (ok, actually i have to fit one more robot in there! )

I were at one event in Finland with 3 of my robots this weekend, really liked it, will be likely going agen some time in the future. I started thinking that drums on walkers may be a good idea! :P
One of the vids: my disc walker Spin vs. overhead spinner!

Also one vid of the 150g fight.

Hello! Can anyone tell me what is the biggest robot combat forum worldwide? I just want to get more information, see more builds and so on! :proud:
Just a little overview of the robot.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6jUc6C6Cz0
Looks very promising
If you look one older post, you can see the Spin in action! Its basically retired now, or i will replace the disc with a drum.
Wow!!! I love to see walkers in action!!!
And what linkage do you use on the walker?
Random linkage  Depends what do you mean ?
Well I have seen similar legs on the Internet and was wondering if there was a name for the type legs
I found similar design on youtube and with some tweaking, the thing walks quite well. Maybe i´ll make a video of it destroying some stuff..(like always)
