Tornado (3) vs. Fragmentor vs. Achilles vs. Wheely Big Cheese
Wheely Big Cheese couldn't get into the fight enough and spent most of it making mistimed flips. Fragmentor on the other hand went straight for Achilles, attacking it the entire match and getting a few decent hits in until Tornado slammed in and stopped the spinner entirely, allowing Achilles to push Fragmentor to the wall and toss it out of the arena. Then there was some shoving and minor flipping until the 5 minute mark, in which Wheely Big Cheese flopped out.
Judge Shred 3 (30) vs. Nidhoggtothepowerof3 vs. Monsoon Magnum vs. Push-Ish Fundamental
Judge Shred was annihilated early, with a powerful flip by Monsoon Magnum and the impact with the ground was great enough to disable its weaponry in one shot, so even it could have righted itself, it wouldn't after that. Push-Ish went after Nidhogg, but failed to slide underneath the dragon's front ground clearance, or get around it, and was clamped and taken to the pit, where it was dumped in. Quick match.

Tornado (3) vs. Nidhogg³
Tornado used the anti-Razer frame for this fight, and swiftly wished it hadn't. Nidhogg's forks came into play and lifted Tornado's wheels off the ground; dragged into the pit release, it was dropped over the pit but didn't fit in...however it couldn't move, and was counted out anyway. Shock exit for the 3rd seeds.
Achilles vs. Monsoon Magnum
A truly back and forth fight between two great flipping machines. Monsoon Magnum proved the slightly more aggressive here and it showed in the judges decision. Spiffing performance from both competitors.

Daniel Stickler finally gets the OOTA he wanted all heat as, after a well-fought 4 minutes, Monsoon managed to get to Nidhogg's side and toss it over the fence.

Atomic (5) vs. Cyclone Force 3 vs. Son of Wedgie vs. Envy
All three flippers teamed up on poor Cyclone Force 3, who never stood a chance against them and was tossed out of the arena by Atomic barely a minute in. Then the flippers brawled against each other. A sudden flip from Envy sent over Son of Wedgie, on which Atomic capitalized and managed to get it out before Dave Sheppard could activate the srimech.
Ceros (28) vs. Terrorhurtz vs. The May Tracks Has You vs. M.O.R.D. 2
Utter shock here. Flipped over early by MORD, May Tracks was axed repeatedly by Terrorhurtz and rendered immobile. Ceros was then flipped over by MORD as well, but that allowed Terrorhurtz to get in to where the drum was and crash into it, while swinging the axe down. The result was that the axe got tangled in MORD's scoop. While MORD was normally faster and stronger than THz, Ceros righted itself and, THZ helping, pushed both bots across the arena towards the pit, which was activated earlier in the match, and MORD fell in first. Not a good heat for the vapourbots.

Atomic fails the OOTA, but try as it might, Terrorhurtz's smacking is unable to kill off Atomic despite putting quite a few dents in the armourment and halfway into the match Atomic pits the Team Hurtz' machine with a well timed push.
Ceros (28) vs. Envy
Ceros gets under Shane Swan's wedgebot several times but mistimes its flips and runs out of gas near the end of the match. Envy then got under and tossed it, but time ran out before Ceros was counted out. Envy won the judges decision.

A not-so-fliptastic match as it was Envy constantly getting under Atomic and overturning it, and Atomic self-righting. Envy had more CO2 in the tank, and Atomic eventually ran out and could not self right.
