The email with details about arrival will be sent either tonight or Monday.
You can arrive when you like, however from around 7am the millions start arriving and traffic starts becoming a problem.
If you get stuck in the traffic, (it will be miles), then you'll have to just be patient.
Regards
John
Well, surprised myself today and finished off all three heavies!!
Finished DTK last and it shows what sort of a year it's been when you say 'right the drive should be ok now' and your dads next comment is 'it even looks like it'll drive in a straight line'
Andy

Well, after all the good weather it looks like the timing is just right for another weekend in the mud!!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/ ... a=Fairford
does seem to be improving saturday ?
It does seem to be improvig Saturday. I suspect we will have to drink a moderate amount of beer or cider to drown out the sound of the rain friday night. Crying shame that is!!! :proud:
has anyone got a dx3 reciever i could borrow at ths event?
alex
Hi All
Just got back and what can I say. I have had a brill time if not having to go home early, however though I think it was one of the best events I have been to in a long time, it really showed what I was missing out last time. Friday night was real fun where after pitching the tent up, socialised with my team and some other roboteers and had drinks. Then went to the beer tent with Stu & Jess where the party was going on where I had the energy to show how to do the Scooter dance  . Saturday fought with Pug in only one fight in where it was getting stuck on the floor and was immobilised due to another loose connection :( Then socialised for a bit more at the campsite after that before packing up. A weekend to remember as I have met lots of great people like Froggy, William Dijkstra, Matt Hunt, George Abingdon and the Weird Alice boys. See you all at my next event hopefully.
Liam Bryant
It was a pleasure to meet you, Liam. I was the one who found that loose connection in Pug as well :)
Really? Well thanks m8 :)
Just got home, had a brilliant time, had some great fights and really good social too!! Definately the most fun I've had in ages even if I did have to jump off that tower (thanks to Wendy and co  )
See you all at the next event!!
You forgot to mention me shining the torch light in your face on the final night...
What can I say....didn't we do well :D I think we saved up our luck and used it all in one fight :D Really good weekend, pretty good weather, excellent company and nice beer. Thanks to all the Roaming Robots crew for there hard work over the weekend and especially to Dave for welding the arm for us. :D :D :D :D

The only time when LR Evo was actually working...
I'm uploading my piccies as I type. I gather they will be online by 16.00 PM this afternoon. All 1502 of them.
They can be found here: my album on Photobucket.
Scroll down and choose view all. The thumbnails uploading could take some time though but then you have all of them on one page. I still may need to sort them out as uploading had to happen in bunches.
I had a great time, as usual. Saw the Vulcan flying again. Saw a lot of featherweightss flying again. Got some cool and nifty t-shirts (my favourite: 0.50 CAL when you need to reach out and touch someone). And yes, I did jump from the tower as well, despite my fear of heights. (It helps that the bloke pushes you when you hesitate a bit too long....)
But next time, the moment I see a Team Bud van parking next to my tent I'm going to scream hell and murder until it's moved to the other side of the camping. There's a reason why we pitched our tent as far away as possible from the camping's party tent you know. It's all nice and well to socialize, have a bid of a drink, have some fun... but there are other people who do need to sleep as well (you know: kids, people who've just spent 11 hours in the car to get there, people with M.E. ...).
As Ian says....Yipppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Excellant weekend, only repair was the welding we were supposed to have done but forgot.
Thanks for the vn picture of yogic flying by Weird Malice

It's called Karma Ian! That's what you get for putting up with us invading your table all weekend, fixing Hydra (badly I might add :proud:) and not getting up when I smash your teams bottle of moisturiser  :rofl:Quote:

So who won the Ladies fight ? and do we know who was driving what ?
The Ladies' Fight was won by Desiree, friend of Rick from Team RCC (*proud grin*). It was her very first Roboteering event !
I must say I managed this year to keep on driving longer than last year. Thanks to the generous builders of Tiny Toon who kept supplying me with good advice throughout the fight..
The strange thing was, you left Satanix in the pits on the second day. Where were you?Quote:

Another enjoyable but knackering weekend at RIAT :D A very enjoyable social weekend spent staggering from one group to another, and a day of suffering just a few short hours later.I must remember not to drink with Team Bud next year if I want to enjoy and not endure the next day   but having done it 2 years on the trot I can't see it happening somehow.Well done Will, Shane and Babeth for having the courage to jump off the tower with your fear of heights :proud: Thanks to Mr Stu for scaring the crap out of me with his battery fire . Swanny and the police helicopter with his lightsabre   and Ian with his tent    .
Appologies to anybody that I might have offended whilst drunk and to those who feel left out because i didn't offend them ( it might be you next year )

Great event, good friends and good fun. Well done to the RR crew, and to everyone else, whom without it wouldn't happen.
PITA is fixed, it takes more than a wheel falling off to stop it. Still haven't done anything to PT yet.
Thanks to Swanny for the wake up call on Sunday. I think the whole campsite heard.
See you all at the next event.
I did leave instructions that Satanix could be used in the ladies fight, guess no-one used it
