Welcome back to Robot Wars: The Legends Tournament! So far, 101 and Diotior are in the final where they will fight for the first place in the grand final. But first, a special event, about flippers :)
FLIPPER FRENZY
From Ipswich, in Suffolk, Chaos II!
They won Robot Wars twice with that Co2 powered flipper. Chaos II has flipped more robots out of the arena than any other robot.
From Staffordshire, Bulldog Breed!
A semi-finalist, where X-Terminator beat them. A normal wedge with a powerful flipper, but it is easily damaged by axes.
From Surrey, Dantomkia!
Also a semi-finalist, but aside from the flipper, it can spin on the spot and whack other robots. It is unreliable, though.
From Hampshire, M2!
They beat robots such as Pussycat and Tiberius III in the past. Its fast and powerful, but the wheels are easily punctured.
From London, in Greater London, Roobarb!
This robot made it to Round Two last time. They claim it has special armour, but that hasn't stopped it from being beaten in the past. Will it turn into custard here?
From West Sussex, The Grim Reaper!
Will it scare the others away? Hopefully with its powerful flipper that helped it into the semi-finals last time. But it can't do any real damage and the wheels are exposed as well.

3-2-1: Activate!
This should be good! Chaos II is the most successful out there and immedietly THROWS Dantomkia in the air! Dantomkia recovers, only to be pushed aside by The Grim Reaper. Roobarb FLIPS M2 over, but M2 self-rights! Bulldog Breed bumps in Dantomkia and flips it over as well. Dantomkia self rights and heads after Chaos II. Revenge in the making here, I think! Roobarb pushes The Grim Reaper in Sgt Bash, who grabs down on the front with his jaws. The Grim Reaper tries to get away, but in comes Matilda with her flywheel. OHH! Theres a gash in the side of The Grim Reaper! Sgt Bash lets it go. Is The Grim Reaper OK? M2 chases after Bulldog Breed. The pit release button opens, you heard the siren. Roobarb opened it, but Chaos II comes in and FLIPS Roobarb over! Roobarb self-rights. Dantomkia is standing still. Is it immobolised? The Grim Reaper is OK, but Bulldog Breed pushes it towards the wall and flips it...NO! The Grim Reaper just staying in there, but its against the wall. It self-rights and heads back in the fight. The Refbot is counting out Dantomkia. We know its unreliable, and Mike Lambert is heading out.
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Matilda hits Dantomkia with her flywheel. No damage, but its still out. The Grim Reaper chases after Bulldog Breed, but gets sideswiped by Roobarb and pushed towards the wall again! The Grim Reaper flips itself free. Chaos II pushes M2 over the flame pit! Is M2 OK, because I don't think its moving freely! OH! What was that! The Grim Reaper drove itself into the pit! What a shock. Bulldog Breed flips Roobarb over. Roobarb self-rights, but how much CO2 has it used up. How much have ALL of our robots used up? Sgt Bash and Matilda push Dantomkia towards on the floor flipper...OH! Chaos II flips Sgt Bash onto his side! M2 pushes Bulldog Breed away. Total mayhem out there! M2 isn't moving freely anymore. I think its been immobolised on one side. Refbot comes in.
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Well done to them, but M2 is out. The last ten seconds count down. Bulldog Breed FLIPS Roobarb up, but not over. Chaos II crashes into them and pushes Roobarb into the wall.

What a fight! The judges will have to decide who is the winner of the Flipper Frenzy: Chaos II, Bulldog Breed or Roobarb!

Chaos 2 has only flipped 6 robots out of the arena, Dantomkia's done in 9. Since when was 9 smaller than 6?

HEAT FINAL
From Kettering, in Northamptonshire, 101!
From Dublin, in Ireland, Diotior!
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: 101
B2: Diotior
House Robots: Cassius Crhome and Sir Killalot
3-2-1: Activate!
101 is the fastest here, but Diotior has that scoop. It turns to get under the front of 101, but 101 turns to push Diotior from the side. Diotior swerves away and gets under one side with the scoop. Now it pushes 101, but it doesn't flip yet. I wonder why? 101 escapes, but Diotior gives chase. 101 turns around to push Diotior away, but Diotior gets the scoop under again and FLIPS 101 up, but not over! 101 crashes back to earth and bashes into Diotior again. Diotior pushed, but its difficult to get hold of, Diotior. 101 has a spike, but I don't think it'll do any real damage. Diotior backs away onto the flame pit! Oh, dear! 101 pushes them again, underneath the raised scoop towards Cassius Chrome, who pushes Diotior out of his CPZ. The fur is burning away. 101 pushes it towards the pit release button, but Diotior pushes back! 101 breaks free and backs away. Diotiors scoop is in the normal position again, so will it flip 101 over? 101 presses the pit release button. Thats a tactic popular in Robot Wars nowadays. 101 bashes into Diotior again. The fur, look at it, theres nothing left almost! Ha-ha! Diotior, OH! It flips 101 again, but 101, with those tracks from a washing machine, is not flipped over. So Diotior, is still in it here. Liam tries to get to the side again, but 101 crashes in from the back and pushes Diotior towards the pit! Diotior turns away as the last ten seconds count down. Diotior pushes 101 this time, but 101, the tracks are designed for extra traction, is holding its ground. What a fight!

Sorry if that fight seemed boring. I didn't see a way how both could really do anything to each other, other than push each other around. Its boring when they just push each other around

BATTLE ONE
From Sheerness, in Kent, Major Tom!
Made from a bumper car and a vending machine, but with a spinning flywheel on the front that can cause damage to weak armour. Its never escaped the heats, though.
From Bournemouth, in Dorset, Razer!
The winners of Series Five and the first two World Championships, this robot is well known for its powerful crushing beak. It has been unreliable in the past.
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: Major Tom
B2: Razer
House Robots: Mr Psycho and Growler
3-2-1: Activate!
Razer would be the favourites here, I'm sure. Immedietly rushing to the side of Major Tom to get the beak in. Major Tom turns and the flywheel hits Razer. Sparks fly, but Razer isn't damaged. In fact, now it CRUSHES down on the major! Look at that! This is Razer at its best. Major Tom can't get away, but now Razer lets it go. Kody gets Major Tom away. Razer gives chase. It needs to avoid the flywheel of Major Tom, and it does so, heading towards the back of it. Pushing Major Tom towards Mr Psycho! Down comes the hammer...OH! It hits Major Tom on the head! That can't be good! Razers beak comes down again, crushing the back of Major Tom. Taking it away from Mr Psycho and into the pit release button! Down goes the pit. Razer turns around to face Major Tom towards the pit. DOWN it goes! Major Tom out, and Razer through.
Cease!
Major Tom had a minor problem, and gets kicked out of the competition!
Razer goes through to the next round!

BATTLE TWO
From Norwich, in Norfolk, Splinter!
Once a semi finalist, but were beaten there on. A box with two front arms to grab a robot and an axe to come down on them are the weapons. But how reliable are they?
From Southampton, in Hampshire, Stegosaurus!
This team have been a grand final and a semi final with other robots, but this was the first the team made. Its a tracked robot with a flipper at the back, but the armour is weak and it has no self-righting mechanism.
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: Splinter
B2: Stegosaurus
House Robots: Growler and Shunt
3-2-1: Activate!
Splinter straight into the fight and CRASHES right into the front of Steosaurus. Stegosaurus pushes Splinter back, but Splinter grabs hold with the arms and tries to do the same. Down comes the axe again, but Steosaurus gets away. Now it turns around to push Splinter from behind and FLIP it! Splinter not over, though. It too turns and the axe slams down onto the armour of Stegosaurus. Splinter pushes into the side and grabs hold, but Stegosaurus breaks free, turning to the get the flipper under. OH! Splinter on its side, but it self-rights using the grabbing arms. They come together as fast as a shotgun, but it looks like one might be buckled! Stegosaurus pushes into the front, but Splinter fights back and pushes Stegosaurus towards Growler. Out Growler comes and he SLAMS into both robots! Stegosaurus backs into Splinter again and FLIPS it up! It comes back down and tries to get the axe upon the top of Stegosaurus. A brilliant fight, here! Splinter's arms get Stegosaurus and now it pushes towards the pit release button, but Stegosaurus pushes back. Its a tracked robot for extra traction, Stegosaurus, and the extra tractions allows to push Splinter into Shunt's CPZ! Splinter gets an axe blow for its troubles, but gets away into the side of Stegosaurus, who escapes to press the pit release button. Down it goes! Stegosaurus bashes into the front scoop, but goes up it, allowing Splinter to push it into the flame pit! Steogsaurus gets away. Splinter turns quicker and pushes them back against the wall. It lets them go, and Stegosaurus gets away. The last ten seconds count down to the end of the fight. Stegosaurus pushes Splinter into Shunt again! Down comes the axe onto the top of Splinter, but it gets away, pushing Stegosaurus into the centre of the arena.
Cease!
What a battle. Since both robots are still mobile, we'll have to go to a judges decision.

Before we continue with the main heat, we have another special event. Six robots from six countries that were once territories and colonies of Britian. Its the Commonwealth Carnage!
COMMONWEALTH CARNAGE!
From Scotland, Corkscrew II!
Lost in Round One of the Seventh Wars. Its weapon is a spinning disc, so it has 360o of attack. Its invertible, but light and hard to control.
From South Africa, Crushtacean!
This robot made it the heat finals of Series Five once upon a time ago. It has two powerful claws on the front powered by special gloves, but it is unreliable.
From England, Firestorm V!
The favourites here. That Co2 powered flipper has thrown many robots out of the arena. Manouvrable and hard to beat, but with 2WD, it can be pushed around.
From Wales, Panic Attack!
Winners of Series Two. The team are one of the most experienced here. The front lifting forks are its weapon, but it has no self righting mechanism and is slow.
From New Zealand, Riptillion!
They entered with Araknia in Series Seven. Its low to the ground and has a spinning blade. The team have never had any real success, though.
From Sri Lanka, Supernova!
They were knocked out early last time, but the spinning disc has caused major damage in the past. Its invertible, but unreliable.

B1: Corkscrew II, Crushtacean, Firestorm V
B2: Panic Attack, Riptillion, Supernova
House Robots: Sgt Bash and Mr Psycho
3-2-1: Activate!
Firestorm is straight off the mark and goes straight for Riptillion, pushing it against the wall. Corkscrew II is up to full speed and OH! It SMACKS Supernova in the side. Supernova OK, but Crushtacean pushes it from behind. Riptillion gets away, but Firestorm is on its tail again. Perhaps Graham Bone thinks its the weakest here. Panic Attack presses the pit release button. Supernova turns around and SMASHES into the side of Crushtacean! Crushtacean is still OK, as is everyone else. Panic Attack moves into the centre of the arena, but Firestorm sweeps under the front and flips it UP! Not over, though. Corkscrew II makes a move on Riptillion. The armour is scratched but Riptillion is still moving out there, but straight into the front of Supernova. OH! The armour has a massive GASH in it. Firestorm slides under Supernova and flips it against the wall. LOOK at that! The disc of Supernova ripped into the floor, and the sawdust is flying out there! Carnage in the making here. Sgt Bash has a look at Riptillion, who is on the edge of the CPZ. He pushes it away, but in comes Mr Psycho! Down comes the hammer! Riptillion looks very battered. Panic Attack pushes Crushtacean towards the pit, and DOWN it goes! That was a surprise. Corkscrew II gets flipped by Firestorm. Supernova hasn't come down from the wall, and Refbot goes to count it out!
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Firestorm gets under Riptillion and flips it up. Riptillion's shape makes it difficult to flip it over, but Firestorm can push it towards the CPZ again! Sgt Bash's jaws come down on the armour. Riptillion has taken a right beating. The spinning blade has stopped. Corkscrew has stopped spinning also. Panic Attack nudges it from behind. Firestorm collides with both of them and FLIPS Panic Attack over! Panic Attack has no self-righting mechanism, so they're gone. Refbot goes to count out Riptillion, who is immobolised.
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Firestorm pushes Corkscrew towards the pit and FLIPS it IN! Down they go as well. I think Firestorm is the last one standing here. Supernova is out. Panic Attack is out. Mr Psycho picks Supernova up and...where is he going to take it? To the floor flipper? OK! Supernova is going to fly any minuet now. There it goes! Crashing back to earth! Refbot counts out Panic Attack.
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Panic Attack is out, but Firestorm flips Sgt Bash over! Ha ha! Mr Psycho won't be happy. He chases Firestorm around, but he won't get him this time.
Cease!
A right royal rumble! Corkscrew and Crushtacean pitted, Panic Attack and Riptillion immobolised and Supernova brought back to earth in style. I think Firestorm is the only robot out there.

I feel a bit stupid having started competitions minuets or days after ending another, and since some people aren't back yet, it doesn't feel like home anymore. get him from the side, keep crushing until he is immobilized or in a critical condition and then either shove him into the house robots or if he is dead push him into the pit :D

HEAT FINAL

3-2-1: Activate!
Razer is quicker and it manages to slide under the side of Stegosaurus. Stegosaurus needs to get away, but Razer, look at that! The beak is crushing down onto Stegosaurus. Stegosaurus tries to push Razer backwards, but Razer keeps its grasp on it. Danny King and AJ can't do anything, but now Razer lets them go. Stegosaurus gets away, but comes in again and pushes Razer from the side. Into the wall, but Razer escapes. Stegosaurus backs into it to use the flipper, but Razer is much faster. It gets under again and this time crushes down on one of the tracks! If they crush one of the tracks, Stegosaurus will be immobolised! Razer pushes it over the flame pit and releases its hold. Stegosaurus gets away, undamaged by the looks of things. It turns around to use the flipper again and Razer...OH! Razer tried to come in from the back again, but Stegosaurus flipped it over! Razer does have a self-righting mechanism, but Stegosaurus is pushing it around! It self-rights, Razer, but Stegosaurus was on top for a moment there. Now Razer chases after it and slides under the sides again. Look at the gashes on Stegosaurus! Razer comes in again, and pushes Stegosaurus towards, where...the pit release button! Into the button, down goes the pit. Razer's beak pierces the top of Stegosaurus again. They've done well to get this far, Stegosaurus, but its being turned towards the pit and DOWN it goes! Stegosaurus is out of the competition. Well done to Razer!
Cease!

BATTLE ONE
From Essex, 259!
A low box with a powerful spinning disc at the front that can cause some series damage. They've fought before with other robots, but this is the most successful. It is unreliable, though.
From Essex, Scutters Revenge!
From the team who built Spawn Again, they've reentered an old favourite. It has 6WD to push the others around and has a lifting scoop, but it has no self-righting mechanism and is slow.
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: 259
B2: Scutters Revenge
House Robots: Matilda and Cassius Chrome
3-2-1: Activate!
Off we go with Heat C. 259 looks menacing with that disc, so Scutters Revenge will have to get in from the sides. 259 turns to face the scoop and OH! Sparks fly, and the impact has stopped 259's disc from spinning! Jack Orr and Adam Clark try to get away, but Scutters Revenge pushes them into the wall. Now it lets 259 go. The disc spins up again and this time it SMASHES into the side of Scutters Revenge! There's a small gash, but nothing else. Scutters Revenge tries to get the scoop under the side, but the skirts on 259 stop that. OH! 259 hits it again with the disc and something flew off! It was a piece of the armour! Scutters Revenge backs away onto the flame pit. 259 follows and another piece flies off! Scutters Revenge is taking a beating here, and after starting off strongly, could go out here. 259 stays back, perhaps waiting for Scutters Revenge to make a move. Scutters Revenge is on the edge of the CPZ, which is empty. Is it still mobile? It has been unreliable in the past. It seems to be moving in a circle. Cassius Chrome comes in and pushes Scutters Revenge into the CPZ! 259 looks on. I think it senses Scutters Revenge is out here. AJ can't get Scutters Revenge away from the house robot. Matilda comes in and OHH! She crumples the side of Scutters Revenge. They're still mobile, but not fully. All they can do is spin on a tight circle. Refbot comes in.
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Its over for Scutters Revenge. Matilda gets under it with her tusks and flips it up and over onto its side! 259 is the winner.

They were semifinalists recently, but went out. Its weapon is a set of large claws on the front. It's invertible, but is unreliable and the wheels are exposed.
From Essex, TRACIE!
One of the first robots in Robot Wars, it has returned with its original box shape with spikes. It's invertible, but unreliable and not too damaging.
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: Tough as Nails
B2: TRACIE
House Robots: Mr Psycho and Growler
3-2-1: Activate!
TRACIE has the push, but Tough as Nails has the size. It grabs TRACIE and pushes it towards the flame pit. TRACIE pushes back, though, breaking free of the Dutch robot. Tough as Nails turns to chase after it. TRACIE pushes into the side of Tough as Nails now, perhaps trying to damage its wheel with the spikes. Tough as Nails brushes past and swerves towards the pit release button! That's a well used tactic of Tough as Nails. TRACIE rams it from behind, but Tough as Nails almost rides over it. Turning to grab hold again, it pushes TRACIE over the flame pit. TRACIE however, was designed for pushing and so it does push Tough as Nails back. Tough as Nails lets go. TRACIE pushes into it again and shoves it towards Mr Psycho! OH! Down come the hammer onto Tough as Nails. The Co2 canister looks scratched, but the claws still work as they grab TRACIE by the side and turn them around towards Mr Psycho. OHH, and in comes Growler! He SMASHES into both robots. Growler's top speed is 40mph, so you don't want to get in his way! TRACIE has slowed, and Tough as Nails grabs it again, pulling it away from Mr Psycho, who misses and hits the arena floor! TRACIE seems to have been immobolised by Growler. Joey McConnel looks worried. Tough as Nails turns it around to face the pit. TRACIE is going, going...gone! In the pit. Tough as Nails go into the heat final!
Cease!

So, we have two robots in the Heat Final, but we're going to take a break from the main competition to see another breed of robot: the featherweights.
FEATHERWEIGHT MELEE
So, in first we have DTK, followed by Rip, they both have flippers, so they'll look good. Next, its Beef Cake, an odd name, and lastly Micromute.
Next, we have Whipper and RC Warrior, and Arrgh! That spinning disc can cause serious damage. And lastly, Cutlet with a flipper.
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: DTK, Rip, Beef Cake, Micromute
B2: Whipper, RC Warrior, Arrgh, Cutlet
House Robots: Sir Killalot, Mr Psycho, Growler
3-2-1: Activate!
This is going to be fun. DTK, the current featherweight champion heads straight for Whipper and TOSSES it upside down! Whipper self-rights as Arrgh chases after Cutlet, who tries to flip it from behind. Beef Cake is, well its trying to find the right position to attack, but the turning circle is very wide...OH! In comes Micromute, at 30mph and it slides under Beef Cake, pushing it into the angle grinder. RC Warrior pushes Rip towards DTK, who throws Rip over onto its back! Arrgh has pushed Cutlet over the pit. Is Cutlet still moving? I don't think so! Rip has self-righted and it pushes Whipper towards the pit as it and Cutlet go down...OHH! Whipper in the pit! Rip turns back to the main fight as RC Warrior is hit in the side by Arrgh. Sparks fly as RC Warrior turns and runs into Beef Cake! DTK pushes Rip towards Growler. He pushes Rip back into the arena. Micromute zooms under Beef Cake again! It's the fastest here, Micromute. Beef Cake tries to get away, but I think it's stuck on top of Micromute! DTK flips both of them free! OH! And something flew off of Rip as it tried to flip Arrgh! Arrgh backs into it again. The flipper looks buckled. Beef Cake turns away straight into Sir Killalot! The last time these two met, there was a big mess to clean up...and Killalot lifts it in the air! Beef Cake hangs from the mighty claws and is taken over to Arrgh, who is being pursued by Micromute. Beef Cake dropped, onto its top! It won't come back from there, I think! DTK flips Rip over. Rip self-rights, but it looks very battered out there. Refbot comes over to count out Beef Cake.

Mr Psycho comes in and OUCH! Down comes the hammer and Beef Cake is almost squashed! DTK gets under Arrgh's side and FLIPS it over as well! Arrgh's disc rips up the arena and comes to a stop! It's not recovering from there. Rip appears to be immobolised as Growler nudges it away from the CPZ. RC Warrior pushes Micromute around towards the flame pit. DTK gets under the back of RC Warrior and lifts it up, but not over! Sir Killalot arrives to finish off what is left of Beef Cake. RC Warrior and DTK have looked the strongest out of the lot here. Micromute...OH! It's driven into the pit! What a shock. Refbot counts out Arrgh and Rip, who was gone long ago.

Sir Killalot pushes Beef Cake, or what is left of it, towards the pit. Down it goes! RC Warrior and DTK are the only ones left, I think. Growler pushes Rip onto the floor flipper. How far will it go! OHH! About 10 metres high and CRASHING...out of the arena! DTK flips RC Warrior, but the last ten seconds count down. The judges will have to make their decision. DTK pushes RC Warrior towards the pit, but it won't get it down.

This should be a good one. Tough as Nails needs to avoid that spinning disc of 259 as it gets up to full speed. Tough as Nails backs away into the pit release button. 259 turns, but Tough as Nails...just out of the way, NO! It gets hit at the last minuet and OH! Something came flying off the wheel! Was it a piece of rubber? Maybe. Tough as Nails turns around, but 259, OUCH! It hits the other wheel! Tough as Nails is taking a beating from 259. Adam Clark and Jack Orr at the controls, want Tough as Nails down that pit. Tough as Nails turns to get the claws at 259, but it can't. Has its traction been reduced from that earlier attack. Sparks fly as 259 hits one of the claws! Trying to rip it off, maybe? Tough as Nails runs right at 259 and grabs the disc! 259...hang on a minuet, Tough as Nails is pushing now! 259 pushes back, though! The disc has stopped spinning! Tough as Nails grabbed the disc and is trying to pull 259 towards the pit. Towards the CPZ, in comes Shunt, who brings his axe onto 259! The fight has turned on its head! It's 259 in trouble now. They can't get away. Now they do. The disc isn't spinning, though. And is that why? A belt drags loose from the robot, and I don't think that disc is working any more! What an upset! Tough as Nails pushes from behind again, trying to grab hold, but I think 259 is too low. 259 pushes back, but Tough as Nails grabs the disc again. Those wheels on Tough as Nails provide unrivalled traction, and they are slowly edging 259 towards the pit! Letting go, though. I wonder why? 259 swerves to one side, now the other. Tough as Nails looks on. I think 259 is immobolised. It can only spin in a circle. Things are hanging off it, a belt, and something else as well. And after a spectacular performance in the earlier round and at the beginning, 259 has crashed out! Refbot comes in.

It's all over for 259. Tough as Nails goes into the grand final. What a fight. Sgt Bash comes in and OOOH! He crushes the side of 259! Shunt hits it with his axe. The armour has been pierced! Bash pushes 259 towards the pit and DOWN it goes!

In order to celebrate the fantastic series that was Prison Break, which came to a close last night, I shall try and make this the most exciting heat ever :)
Welcome to Robot Wars: The Legends Return, Heat D
BATTLE ONE
From Leeds, in West Yorkshire, Brutus Maximus!
They haven't had much luck, but could it change here. It uses wood, bike wheels and a petrol engine, but it has spinning discs at the back. Will it conquer the Robot Wars arena today?
From Essex, Hannibal!
They've fought before, but with another robot. It's weapon is a powerful flipper and it is heavily armoured. Its quick, but the Co2 supply is limited.
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: Brutus Maximus
B2: Hannibal
House Robots: Matilda and Cassius Chrome
3-2-1: Activate!
Brutus Maximus will be lucky to last this round if it does, immedietly turning towards the side of Hannibal, who charges right under and THROWS it over! Brutus Maximus can run upside down, and it turns around to use its spinning discs. Hannibal charges again and flips! Brutus Maximus is taking a right pounding. The team from Leeds have a battle on their hands here. At the controls of Hannibal, Terry Holmes and Leo Van Miert. Brutus Maximus pushes Hannibal from the side, but Hannibal is much quicker and just slips away. Turning to get the flipper under and throwing Brutus Maximus over. Hannibal gets under again and pushes Brutus Maximus towards the wall and ALMOST out! Its too long, Brutus Maximus, so Hannibal will need to get from the side. Brutus Maximus overturned again. We haven't seen the discs do any damage. Matilda waits in the CPZ as Hannibal lingers close. OH! She hits Hannibal and throws it onto its side! Hannibal self-rights, but Brutus Maximus took advantage of bad driving by Leo Van Miert there. Matilda...OHH! This time she goes after Brutus Maximus and rips the discs off! Brutus Maximus weaponless now. Hannibal turns around and FLIPS it back into the corner! Matilda's flywheel rips into the wooden armour! Brutus Maximus largely outdone here. I think it's immobolised. OHH! Matilda tears part of the armour off! Hannibal is the winner, surely. Brutus Maximus, well one side is still working, but the other side isn't. Cassius Chrome comes in. He's an odd creation, you must think? Refbot counts down Brutus Maximus, who has simply stopped working.
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
Hannibal gets under Brutus Maximus and flips it UP and OUT of the arena! Brutus Maximus, a crumpled mess. Hannibal goes into the heat final!

From Tiverton, in Devon, Robochicken!
A new and improved robot now, they say. It has an axe, a rear flipper and a front spinning disc. They made it to the heat final of Series Seven, but it has no self-righting mechanism.
From Oregon, in the USA, Rosie the Riveter II!
Will it fly to victory here? A box wedge with four wheels for pushing power and a saw, along with spikes at the back. They were grandfinalists in the American Robot Wars, and one to look out for.
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: Robochicken
B2: Rosie the Riveter II
House Robots: Sir Killalot and Mr Psycho
3-2-1: Activate!
Robochicken heads straight for Rosie, who turns at the last moment to try and get under the front with that wedge. It has a saw as well. Down comes Robochicken's axe, or head? Rosie gets under and pushes it towards the wall! Robochicken gets away and sparks fly as its disc hits the side of Rosie. It rushes off to the centre of the arena, but Robochicken follows with that flipper and THROWS it over! Rosie can run inverted, though. Robochicken gets under again and pushes it towards the wall...NO! It didn't get it out, Robochicken. It hasn't got enough power in that flipper, but Rosie is the right way up and rams into the side of Robochicken, perhaps trying to flip it over. Robochicken's axe strikes the floor, but it gets away. Aggression from both robots here. Robochicken chases Rosie down and the disc causes some sparks, but nothing else. Rosie turns around to try and get under again, but Robochicken flips it over! Something fell off, I think it was the plastic cockpit on top of Rosie. It pushes Robochicken from the side towards the pit release button! Robochicken flips itself free and turns to flip Rosie, but Rosie gets away, straight into Mr Psycho! OH! Mr Psycho knows he can't hit a lady, but he'll make an exception today. Robochicken charges in with the axe, maybe trying to get at the exposed wheels of Rosie. Rosie tries to get away, but Robochicken has got control now. It drags Rosie over to the flame pit and lets it go. Turning now, Rosie, perhaps to try and push Robochicken down the pit. Robochicken shunted again, but it turns to use its disc. Rosie keeps pushing, though, but Robochicken seems to have the upper hand, hitting it with its axe. A great fight here, perhaps one of the best. Rosie breaks free. Robochicken gives chase, but Rosie doubles back and pushes into it again! The disc has stopped spinning because of the impact, but Robochicken can still push forward into the CPZ! Sir Killalot grabs hold of the side of Rosie and lifts it into the air! OOH! The wheel guard is being crumpled. He lets Rosie go, and now Rosie needs to stay alive. It runs into the side of Robochicken again and pushes it around, into the wall. The last ten seconds count down. Robochicken pushes past Rosie, but the American entry has more traction this time and shoves Robochicken over the flame pit. Robochicken tries to flip it, but misses.
Cease!
A good fight. Both robots are still mobile, so the judges will make their decision!

From Dover, in Kent, Dominator II!
Three times a series semifinalist, made from strong titanium. It's axe is one of the most powerful in the wars.
From Cheshire, Edgehog!
They were heat finalist in the New Blood championships. Its made from polycarbonate and can push, but it is unreliable.
From Surrey, Kat III!
Will it have 9 lives here? A wedge shape with a large axe that acts as a scrimech. Its unreliable, though.
From Colchester, in Essex, Steel Avenger!
The shining knight of Robot Wars. It has an axe and a rear flipper with a self-righting mechanism. It has a high ground clearance, though.
From Oxford, in Oxfordshire, Terrorhurtz!
They had to withdraw from Series Seven due to technical difficulties. The axe can smash through anything, but it does have the tendencies to go out of control sometimes.
From Northampton, in Northamptonshire, Thor!
The god of thunder strikes again in the arena. Wedge shaped with an axe, its fast and powerful. The armour is weak, though.

House Robots: Sgt Bash and Growler

Six axes, endless carnage if you ask me. Thor heads straight for Kat III, but gets axed by Dominator II. Terrorhurtz chases down Edgehog, but gets rammed by Steel Avenger. Terrorhurtz is a mad robot! It jumps into the air everytime that axe swings down. Dominator II hits Thor, making a nice dent. Edgehog gets pushed by Kat III into the angle grinder. We haven't seen a lot from it at the moment. Terrorhurtz goes after Dominator II. Very experienced all these robots. Dominator II turns around and gets the axe into Terrorhurtz. Thor joins in as well. They think Terrorhurtz is the weakest here. Edgehog isn't moving. I wonder if its immobolised. Terrorhurtz's axe comes down onto Thor as it breaks free of its grasp. Kat III presses the pit release button. Refbot comes over to look at Edgehog, who isn't moving. What a shame.

Edgehog is out, and now Growler and clean up the mess! Dominator II goes after Steel Avenger. Steel Avenger has an axe and a flipper, so they have an advantage. Thor hits Terrorhurtz on the side. Terrorhurtz's axe comes down onto Kat III. Growler pushes Edgehog down the pit! Dominator II gets under Steel Avenger and pushes it into the wall! Steel Avenger self-rights though. Dominator II hits it with the axe. Terrorhurtz chases after Kat III, who turns to bring its axe into play. OH! It gets right into the workings of Terrorhurtz! And did it damage the Co2 canister? Terrorhurtz tries to chop the axe of Kat III off with its own, but was it damaged? Thor is pushed by Dominator II into the CPZ with Sgt Bash. Thor...ha-ha! It knocks the flamethrower to one side, but Sgt Bash's front jaws crush into the armour! Peter Halloway from Dominator II looks on, as does John Reid from Terrorhurtz. They're the two most experienced here. Kat III gets pushed by Terrorhurtz. Into the arena wall. Something is hanging off Kat III? Is it part of the armour. Thor escapes from Sgt Bash, but gets pushed by Steel Avenger into the PIT! What a shock! Terrorhurtz's axe appears to be slowing. Kat III has gotten stuck under the angle grinder, but it frees itself and gets away. Only four robots left. Steel Avenger pushes Kat III into the wall and flips it over! Terrorhurtz gets hit by Dominator II and is pushed into Growler. OH! Growler charges out and SLAMS into Terrorhurtz! Kat III self-rights. Time is ticking down here. Dominator II pushes Terrorhurtz away, but gets a hit for its troubles. Kat III pushes Steel Avenger into the wall.

Two robots are out. Four are still moving, so the judges will make their decision.

The disc makes a few scratches, but nothing else. Hannibal gives chase. Robochicken slips under the high ground clearance at the back and FLIPS it over! Hannibal on its side but comes back down again. A good attack by Liam Eliot and Alec Dick at the controls of Robochicken. Turning around to try again, but Hannibal hits it again and flips it onto its side! Robochicken fires its flipper, but it has no self-righting mechanism. Hannibal slides under and flips it against the wall. Robochicken can't escape! OH! And out it goes! Robochicken out of the arena! Hannibal goes through to the grand final. Well done!

Rather simple predictions:
Hannibal VS 101
Hannibal is essentially an updated version of Chaos 2, while 101 is a near-invincible tank with a spike. I can see 101 going to the play-off here.
Tough as Nails VS Razer
If Razer can get to the back of TAN, it'll be able to crush into both the tires and the vulnerable top/bottom.

Hannibal should win the first one easily. One flip and 101's as useless as Storm II when it's on its back. *oooh!*
Next fight will be tougher. Tough As Nails can push even while being clamped from the front, but if Razer can get around the back, it's over for TAN. I'm gonna have to say that Razer will get at the back of TAN eventually and send them down the pit.

Hannibal, flip 101 oota or in the pit when given half a chance.
Tough as Nails vs Razer, Tan is much better to manoeuvre than Razer, And Razer is not going to penetrate that hardox armour. Digging into the tyres is also useless for Razer as there is no air to deflate. The wheel might have a wobble after a squeeze but that is about it. I give that one to TAN.

Powered by industrial motors and made from aluminium. It's armed with a sensor powered spike. Its tracks are made from a washing machine. They are exposed, though.
From Essex, Hannibal!
A powerful Co2 powered flipper with two wheel drive. The team have been in Robot Wars before, but with another robot. It's quick, but the gas supply is limited.
Roboteers, stand by!
B1: 101
B2: Hannibal
House Robots: Sir Killalot and Shunt
3-2-1: Activate!
Hannibal charges straight for 101, who gets out of the way. It turns around, but Hannibal gets under the sides and FLIPS it over! 101 can run inverted, though, and it pushes into the side. Hannibal breaks free and flips again! Turning around, 101, to push at the back, but Hannibal pushes back over the flame pit. 101 recovers and hits the side of Hannibal. Hannibal goes towards the pit release button. 101 follows as the pit lowers. Hannibal backs off, but 101 pushes into its side and towards the CPZ! Sir Killalot is waiting and he grabs the back of Hannibal, lifting it up. 101 gets out of the way as Killalot drops Hannibal onto its top! Hannibal self-rights and turns to face 101, getting under and pushing it towards the pit, but 101 escapes to the side. Hannibal counters this and flips! 101 up, but not over. It comes back down and pushes into the side again, taking Hannibal towards the flame pit. Hannibal backs away and 101 gives chase. A good battle being fought here. 101 pushed into again by Hannibal and into Shunt! Down comes the diamond edged axe into the top of 101. Hannibal turns only to get hit itself. 101 escapes and pushes Hannibal into the wall! Hannibal flips itself free, just as Shunt gives it another hit with the axe. OH! 101 gets flipped again against the angle grinder! Will Hannibal get it out? NO! 101 comes back down and pushes into the side of Hannibal, but Hannibal slips under and lifts it up again. 101 stuck on the side of Hannibal, but comes back down to push Hannibal into the angle grinder this time! Hannibal gets free and backs away, pushing 101 aside, but 101 is detirmined to get Hannibal into the pit, or into the angle grinder! Hannibal hits 101 and pushes, but 101 shoves back! The spike isn't doing much, if anything. Hannibal turns to get the flipper under again and tosses 101 into the centre of the arena. The last ten seconds count down. 101 crashes into Hannibal and starts to push it again towards a CPZ! Hannibal escapes and pushes 101 one last time.

A hard fought battle by both robots, but only one can go through to the grand final. The judges will decide
