The Snow Thread - 2009

We have snow here too!!! :proud::proud:

It was snowing my entire trip from Bradford to Carterton earlier on, but its now stopped :sad:

Coming back from Staffs today Geoff and I encountered what was no less than a blizzard while driving down the A23 just north of Gatwick airport.

Now back home and right now it is snowing heavily - about 1.5 to 2 on the ground right now.

....... and I am all out of milk :angry:

well thats just scuppered my schedule today... damn white stuff !!

Good thing about working as a dental nurse... if your dentist cant make it you get the day off :D well he does come from Sheffield

Its still snowing here in Newhaven. My car is parked at the bottom of a hill, because other vehicles blocked the road. I have to go and rescue it. One bit of snow and the whole local infrastructure goes to pot.

I know... love how the two extrmes are taking place.... Fires in Aus coz its too hot, and snow over here has brought london to a stand still. Theres about 3cm of snow here... and its snowing lightly but forcast to get worse - woop woop! Dunno why im wooping ill still have to come into work haha. But its nice seeing everything stop and something new for a change. I like the look of snow haha. Ok its a month too late but hey - BRING ON THE TRUMPETS oh i mean SNOW!

So the reason busss have stopped in stoke/litchfield is not because of snow, but because of the extra chavs on the street to throw stones at them then lol.

hey! schools off!!!!!

theres so much snow i cant open the door!
so i had to climb out the window in order to throw snow balls at my mates!

dads been stuck on the M25 since 6am, he was supposed to be taking an Army General to Gatwick, he hasnt missed his flight as it has been pursponed, there is the biggest snow ball fight happening at the moment on the carriageway of the M25 !! wohhoo

Hes ok though he;s getting paid for it !! :)

We had some snow in Brussels this morning, now it is slowly melting away. Man, I just love the way my car slithers over the road...

Drifted to school today in the snow as its not closed:angry:, made worse by the fact Im doing mocks all this week as well! So after the economics essays Ive just been doing, off to Swannys Bar for a drink me thinks!

Ive been working outside raking leaves in the cold and my sisters school hasnt closed either, shes stuck there and cant get the buses!

I have seen 3 or so here and I got a report that there was 10 in Surrey last night.

Same. At break 3 bording houses are going to the playing field next door for a massive snowball fight. Imagine a hour of 5o vs 50 vs 50. Its going to be mayhem! :rofl:

I got an e-mail last night from the headmaster that told me that school was cancelled, then this morning (about 7:30), I recieved another e-mail from that same man the lessons are back on again.
So here I am, about to attend 1st lesson and the head is nowhere to be seen. Only having 2 45 minute lessons today and I cannot go back home till 6:30 and my PS2 along with my DVD collection is locked up in someones room (who promised to be here today so I can take them back). To make matters worse, I am the only person who has come in today so it is just me and several other borders that have bothered to oblige the e-mail.

Its not my day:sad:.

1st day off- Missing exams so thankful for the night blizard:)

4th day with no school!!! Only 1 more for the week, cmon snow!! :)

Well Worcester was snowed in today... so work was called off.. but then got phone to ask if we can try get in and go home at lunch time due to an emergancy with some client blah blah.... and theyd make it worth our while if we got in. so yeah im in till lunch time.

But Worcester and Malvern is really bad, ive seen at least 4 crashed cars. Better not be me on way back haha.
