Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Heats O and P are missing some robots...Id just type them down randomly if the generator wont work. If Im honest, I dont quite understand what you mean :P
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Take a heat that hasnt got one of my bots yet, take a bot from that heat that isnt in heat p yet, and swap my bot and that bot around
do the same for Chris :)
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Thanks Marijn, I think its sorted now.
What happened was I didnt put enough of yours and Cris robots in the earlier heats, and then couldnt put them in later without clashes
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
nice Liam :)
Ill give my tactics when my heat gets near... and man, is Heat A near :proud:
Heat A
Wedge Devolution (1) v Sheer Heart Attack 2 v The Curse
Oddly, I fancy taking the champ out in this 3-way melee, better beat it now than getting beaten by it the the final no?
Also, Wedge Devo is... a wedge, with sloped sides, and Sheer Heart Attack 2 happens to be made to take out anything sloped, just ram it from the sides, damage those skirts, and watch out for the flipper.
Also, I wouldnt mind pitting The Curse when I get the chance, lol.
Y4 v Splinter v Body Hammer
O, I wish I was in this melee instead of Y4 or Splinter, :proud:.
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Also if AJ wishes to enter the other weights Ill be needing his entries by no later than Heat E. And can I tell Alex that Blizzard MW and Tiny Tengu are overweight- Blizzard MW by 14kg and Tiny Tengu by 1kg
But we have the special battle draws:
Flipper Frenzy
Wedginator Devilution v Die-ceratops Re-invertus v Stealth v Liar 2 v GeForce 4.0 v Wedge Devolution
Axe Attack
Intriguing v Axe-o-Lotl v Q.E.2 v Axe to Fall v Axeon 3.0 v Killotine: EVO
Spinner Special
Tira IV v Mega Masher 2 v Isolation v Another Night at the Bar v Yet another cut above the rest v Whirligig 4.5
Crusher Crunch-up
Killobite 5.0 v Tough as Nails v Nidhogg v Under Pressure v Gigabyte Evilution v E Clawdius Unum

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Oh, that was the problem :P Tactics are here:
Macduff The Third vs. Orka Mk. 4 vs. STEALTH
Drive at whichever comes first, and attempt to flip them with my flipper that doesnt quite touch the ground. Basically wait to be killed, unless somebody feels like teaming up on the off chance it might result in a really easy heat final for them. :P
Note: Although it never got the chance, I suspect Stealth may have been able to self right...never really saw enough of it to see how powerful the weapon was. Not that it matters at all :proud:
WORCKER vs. Dieceratops ReInvertus vs. QE2
I shall propose a team up with Paul, to take out the green launchpad. One thing he lacks is maneuvrability, which due to my wheel layout I have in spades; I shall therefore flip DC onto Pauls flipper, and hopefully he shall proceed with the OOTA. Failing that, axe DC to death.
Super Gore Evo vs. ISOLATION vs. Darkestar
Great, two robots I do not want to be up against...Kody will hate me, but Id like to beg for mercy from Alex (i.e. team up with Alex) and bounce SGE around with the disc as Darkestar does some sort of rammy-discy thingy.
GABRIEL II vs. Psyclonizer vs. Baldur
I shall avoid Psyclonizer and go for Baldur, which is at a disadvantage because my wheel layout meand he cant really push me or get a grip on me. I shall ram with the front spikes, flip him around a bit and posibly make use of AJ as an arena hazard. (Is Psyclonizer AJs robot? I forget :P)
NO OBJECTIONS vs. Crimson Thunder vs. Rupture.
Care for a team up, Danny? Rupture is the weak link here, I shall lift it or spin, depending on whats happening at the time, and it will die eventually from shock or the JD.
Killobite vs. PARAMAGNETIC LOX BOX vs. E Clawdius Unum
Another heat where Im up against two robots I dont want to be...Omnibot away from opponents, and try and get one or the other down the pit with my large power and traction.
Turbo Tails vs. Gravity vs. PHOENIX DOWN
Im assuming this is Gravity 3 (S7) here, so here goes...
Use a claw (front) and saw (rear) for this. Basically team up with Steve here (if thats okay, Stevo :proud:) and try and grab the sides of Gravity with the claw. Theyre polycarb, so I should get a good grip, and I shall then ram it into Tailss...tails :P Failing that, slash the tyres with the saw.
Avoid the front though. While PD should survive a good flipping, theres OOTAs to worry about.
NIDHOGG vs. Leprosy Infection vs. Under Pressure
Leprosy Infection is my target here, and if Marti wants to team up hes more than welcome :) Basically grab it anywhere, lift forks to break traction, crunch, and pit. Get those tyres while Im there as well.
Good luck, people :)
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Oh yeah, the specials :proud:
FLIPPER FRENZY: (Stealth)
See tactics for first round :P
AXE ATTACK: (QE2)
Flip people over, axe their bellies, then clamp those that remain and pit them.
SPINNER SPECIAL: (Isolation)
Avoid the more dangerous spinners (Tira, Whirligig) and treat them as mobile arena hazards by flipping robots into them - this could kill both parties involved. For the others, smash them with the disc or flip them. ANATB I shall place lower down the priority list because I can see it becoming a rocking chair again :P
CRUSHER CRUNCH-UP: (Nidhogg)
Go around lifting people, clamping them and then pitting them, avoiding the pit at all other times lest I taste my own medicine.

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Knyfe doesnt have its name down - the reason why you possibly have a space left in Heat O is becuase Knyfe hasnt been assigned a battle.
Just noting it for you.
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Minor problem...poor Chaos 2 is facing TWO of my robots.
I suggest you put one of them in the missing Heat O position, and give Knyfe the remaining space.

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
+1>Predictions...
Heat A
Wedge Devolution (1) v Sheer Heart Attack 2 v The Curse
It might end up being pants, but Id prefer teaming up with Sheer Heart Attack against the champ. Basically try and smack the ram when Wedge Devos flipper opens. Maybe rip the skirts off...try and dent the armour a bit too. Mainly be as aggressive as possible towards Wedge Devo and STAY AWAY from SHA2 when hes doing his thing. Incidentally, the teeh on SHA2 look very small, so Id suggest SHA2 going in first and then me striking when Wedge Devo opens the flipper. Agree, Marti? :proud:
Y4 v Splinter v Body Hammer
...
Winner: Y4, or Wedge Devo if we fail to kill him off.
Heat B
Chaos 2 v Axe-o-Lotl v Knyfe
Chaos 2 out.
Supreme Glory Omega (3) v Shrederator v GBOD
GBOD or Shrederator to die. SGO through for sure.
Winner: Supreme Glory Omega
Heat C
Storm II (5) v Obsidian v Cyclone Force 3
Guess. :proud:
Scaramanga II v Monolith v Turbo Shredder
Turbo Shredder out.
Winner: Storm or Cyclone Force
Heat D
Whirligig 4.5 (7) v Eternia v Nightmare
Bye Nightmare.
Macduff the 3rd v Orka MK4 v Stealth
Team up on Stealth. Use the spikes here, and try to impale Stealths insides when the flipper opens. I love attacking weapons. :proud:
Winner: Whirligig :lame:
Heat E
WORCK-ER (9) v Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus v QE2
The seed to go bye-bye.
Back to Rock III v SoR X v Pussycat
Pussycat to land on its feet, which will no longer be there. :proud:
Winner: SoR X.
Heat F
Mantis v Walk Dont Run 3 v Pure Evil: ROTD
Pure Evil to self-destruct.
ASANSMSADB (11) v Tengu v Sithis
Sithis out.
Winner: Probably Tengu.
Heat G
Super Gore Evo (13) v Isolation v Darkestar
A team-up on me, eh? Go for Darkestar, try and clamp one of the tracks, or try to clamp the flywheel, and then drag it to the pit. If Joey sticks his nose in, go for the rear, squeeze, dont let go, and pit immediately.
Metal Sonic Spin Dash v Wedgas Revenge v Tri-Tainium
Bye Paul.
Winner: Wedga
Heat H
Wedginator Devilution (15) v Lethal Injection v Axeon 3.0
An axe in this fight...I wanna team up with it! :proud: Push Lethal Injection into Axeon and watch as AJ tears Danny a new one. God Im evil. :proud:
Mega Masher 2 v Hannibal v Axe to Fall
Bye Mega Masher.
Winner: Me :proud: Oh wait...Axeon? :proud:
Heat I
Shadow Zone Returns (16) v Symmetry v Paralyzation
Wow. SZR is seeded. Erm...shove Paralyzation all over the place, let Leo carve him up once hes against a wall, turn around and toss him away.
Achilles v Manic Monsoon v Death Threat 0.2
Bye Death Threat.
Winner: Achilles or Manic Monsoon.
Heat J
Gabriel II (14) v PsycloniZer v Baldur
Oh geez...uhm...pass. :proud:
Death Wish 2 v Biohazard v Axes of Evil
Biohazard through...dunno who will join him.
Winner: No idea. :proud:
Heat K
Flick of the Wrist (12) v Dante v The Rock
The Rock to crumble.
No Objections v Crimson Thunder v Rupture
Rupture out.
Winner: Flick, probably.
Heat L
Killobite 5.0 (10) v Paramagnetic LOX Box v E Clawdius Unum
We meet again, Steve...Joey, lets team up on his ass. Distract him, and Ill get him from the rear. If Clawdius comes right at me, which I dont doubt he will, try to angle one of the forks onto one of his spears and slide under it, then clamp, and pit.
Dennis the Menace v Exertion v Revenge of Black Death
Black Death to die.
Winner: Dennis the Menace... :proud:
Heat M
Razer (8) v Weapon Synergy v Holepunch
Razer through, probably...Weapon Synergy to possibly join him.
Black Panther v Blue Sparks v D.V.D: The Sequel
Blue Sparks, I think, to go.
Winner: Razer or Black Panther
Heat N
Liar 2 (6) v Cat with Wheels v MeCannibal 2.0
Haha, Liar and MeCannibal again. I think MeCannibal will again go out.
Turbo Tails v Gravity v Phoenix Down
Gravity to flip Turbo Tails and end the match early.
Winner: Gravity or Phoenix Down
Heat O
With or Without You v Tough as Nails v Nitro-Gene 4.0
With Or Without You to die. Fast.
Seung Mina IV (4) v Killotine: EVO v Dervish /
Okay, time for some revenge on Killotine Evo. Try to grapple the flipper, Steve-O, and Ill pull you away with my power advantage. Other than that, he shouldnt do much to me this time around, and Ive got a more accurate flipper than before. Basically, get in, get under, get even. Avoid Dervish /
Heat P
Nidhogg (2) v Leprosy Infection v Under Pressure
Depends on Martijns stats.
Drum Boy v Envy v Sonic Boom
Ah, good old Envy. :) Go for Drum Boy, shouldnt do much to the armour, go for the OOTA.
Looking good Liam. :)}

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
HEAT A
Y4S TACTICS
This is so easy theres GOT to be a catch. Whoever I get to first, flip it over...last I checked, neither can self-right. Unless Splinter has undergone some major changes since going Dutch...literally.
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
k, Im gonna team up with Kody in the first match :)
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Stats of my vapours can be found here:
http://www.insaneclown.nl/vapourbots/index.phphttp://www.insaneclown.nl/vapourbots/index.php
And old specs Splinter indeed cant selfright on the axe but will always roll on its wheels if it lands on its side or when the axe is in the up position due to its centre of gravity. Sometimes the arms had to rock the robot a little but 99% of the time i could just continue. If the axe is down when it lands on its back it couldnt get up again (which I had come up with a easy fix for but I never implemented it).
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Damn...I was hoping to get Super Gore Revo done before the line-ups, but Im too late.

This one works.
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Is there any sort of lineup for the otherweights yet?
-
Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
No, because AJ said he wants to make some otherweights, and Im not going ti the draws until he gives me some names. Hes not holding the tournament up, as I dont need them until Heat E.

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Wedge Devolution open the pit and box-rush its brains out. I think The Curse has the lowest pushing power in the match, so I might focus my attention on it. Either dodge the blade or stop it altogether, get under and then either dump it in the pit or dump it out the arena. Whichevers closest.

Okay, change of tactics (Liam, you listening?)Since Wedge Devolution is coming for me, dodge out of the way of the champ initial charge and go behind SHA2 to let my blade spin up, and avoid it until Sheer Heart Attack 2 moves in, and then help SHA2 once Wedge Devo is attacking it.
Oh, and back into the pit release button, too, and then try as hard as I can to stay in the middle of the arena and/or away from Wedge Devo until SHA2s attacking, then move in.

uhhhm, Kody, small reminder, SHA2 TOO has a weapon that needs time to spin up :P
Liam, Im sooooooooooo not gonna act like a human (I mean robot) wall, Im gonna avoid my opponents too until my weapons spun up, like The Curse
I suggest Kody that whoever has his weapon up to speed first attack Wedge Devo first

Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged!
Not going to be posting tactics or anything in this tourney - got exams and stuff to revise for. So I will accept any team ups or generally go for the weaker of the two opponents.
Here€™s who I think will win each Heat:
Heat A: Sheer Heart Attack.
Heat B: Axe-o-Lotl.
Heat C: Storm II.
Heat D: Whirligig.
Heat E: SOR X.
Heat F: Either Scoop or Tengu, more inclined to say Tengu.
Heat G: If Super Gore Revo was used, I would say that, but I think MSSD to clinch the heat final.
Heat H: Axeon hands down.
Heat I: Symmetry - it€™s a really underestimated vapour and should sail through this heat (unless those batteries run out!!!)
Heat J: Any of them could win. I€™ll hedge a bet on PsycloniZer tho.
Heat K: Flick of the Wrist.
Heat L: I feel confident in this heat - Dennis to drum up a victory. :proud:
Heat M: Holepunch.
Heat N: Gravity.
Heat O: I€™ll go out on a limb here and say the clusterbot to sneak through the heat.
Heat P: Nidhogg, I guess.
My guess for the top 4:
1st - Tengu
2nd - Symmetry
3rd - Flick of the Wrist
4th - Axeon
