Paul- those tactics are fine. Our flippers will be far too strong for both Magnavox and Fin.
As for our match against Armory and Mega Masher 2, Armory seeems to be the weakest link to me. Custard Cream can take on Armory and Mega Mashers disc is nothing compared to Apocalyptinators.

The Fight against House Robots Revisited
The Arena:
The Swamp v0.3
The arena is rather basic and simple, where the only hazards are the pit which just happens to be open all the time on one side of the arena and on the other side just happens to be a nasty rough patch designed to ground those stupidly low ground clearance robots, anything with less than 5mm ground clearance better stay clear.
The rough patch is an area 5 metre by 5 metres, where 5mm tall aluminium ridges of about 5mm wide rise from the arena at every 5cm, all going in the same direction, an area to avoid at all costs if you have a low machine, get caught on the ridges, and as the ground around the ridges doesn€™t give much grip you might get caught for the count.
There is a sizable gap in the wall of about 20 metres wide, on the side of the arena to the left (the side with the rough patch) to allow robots to flip other robots out, the wall at that point is 4 feet tall. Bonus points will be awarded for target practise.
The arena is 50 metres by 50 metres, there is a Refbot designed to break up robots if they get caught up in each other, but if one robot gets caught against the wall or on the rough and can€™t free itself, then it will be counted out.
The walls are solid steel plating 10cm thick in total, the floor is made from a non-magnetic metal and coated in anti-slip paint, so it is rather griply.

Right...Id like to remove the Boxs skirts to give it less chance of grounding itself, if thats allowed?

Skirts can be removed before fights.
I love rough patches, the best fan-fic I ever wrote was a small 4-way contest with an arena where the floor was entirely roughen up with bumps, so low machines can get grounded if they hit the patch at the wrong angle, so the wheels lose grip in between the grooves.

Im not worried about Marks disc at all, Joeys right- it has no power at all, therefore is useless. And Magnavox will easily be defeated by our super-powerful flippers!! s will Fin.

Mega Masher 2 and ARMORY vs Apocalyptinator and Custard Cream
Um...
Chris, Maybe we should head after Custard Cream, Since you have a Vertical disc, and I have a horizontal disc.
Keep hitting him until he dies, then Chris hits the pit release button. Then we try to use our discs power to either immobilize Apocalyptinator, or slam it into the pit.

Note: Magnavoxs disc does run off an E-Tek.

The Fight against House Robots Revisited
*Introduction music from Soldier Soldier plays*
Ladies and Gentlemen please, raise your glasses to the brave men who will be fighting in this war, where there shall only be the one victor, and that victor alone shall carry the cross of peace, in the battlefield of war, there are two sides, the mental house robots and even more mental normal robots, teams will be made to pull though the early rounds, but those teams will be destroyed come the semi-finals, as it all goes down to one on one action, blades swinging at dawn, ready to strike down the other machine, for the honour€¦
€¦so roll up for Fight against the House Robots Revisited, a trip down memory lane awaits
So which 2 teams are ready to enter the arena for the first time?
Round 1, Fight 1
Seung Mina IV & Whirligig 4.5 vs. Golden Lotus & Night Stalker
The first machine into the swamp to test out its special features of a half-painted side fence, some netting around the hole in the wall to catch flying machines and the quite horrible aluminium grip plates is the flipper which looks a bit like Atomic, Seung Mina IV, this 4th version of Kody€™s powerful flipper machine has a flipper for it€™s main weapon, some lovely Hardox armour and a powerful drive system. However the weakness is limited CO2 and in the arena where there is only a small gap in the wall for flippers to flip stuff out, it might prove to be the killer point.
The 2nd machine to enter the arena is Whirligig 4.5, it is a shuffler which comes in at 100KG, it also has a deadly ring spinner weapon which is designed for murder, and murder it shall do, as it€™s powered by a lem. However in a dancing contest those shuffling pads might be its downfall, which means it might not do well in the celebrity robotic dancing on ice, hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby and featuring a required element, this week it is the element of destroying a randomly placed cardboard box.
The 3rd machine to enter the arena today is man carrying a cardboard box; he places it somewhere at random in the arena before exiting the arena.
The 4th machine to enter the arena today is Golden Lotus, Alex€™s house robot, it is an evil looking spinner which spins on the spot using its own drive for power, 4 Lem motors power the 4 go-kart wheels, I wouldn€™t like to meet it down a dark passage at night, but where it can spin to destroy stuff, when spinning Golden Lotus can€™t really move in the arena much, so it might get left behind.
The 5th and final machine to enter the arena today is the Night Stalker, it is a car-based machine, with an axe for it€™s main weapon and for a 2nd weapon a front CO2 powered nose-cone, designed so that Night Stalker can drive over the rough patch with no problems. The car-style steering might leave it open for attacks from the sides and rear end if it gets caught broad-side, but it has good punch from the motors to power away from trouble, and that axe weighs the good side of 22kg.
So all 4 machines are in the arena, starting off side by side, ready for action, the pit is open, as the all-clear is sounded from the arena.

And the first object to move is Night Stalker powering away from Golden Lotus as Alex€™s machine starts to spin on the spot, as does Whirligig as Seung Mina makes it€™s first advance, as both Night Stalker and Seung Mina are heading towards each other as Whirligig is spinning around and starts to shuffle towards some action, as both Night Stalker and Seung Mina clash head on. The axe of Night Stalker fires as 2 robots with zero front ground clearances meet.
The extra weight of Night Stalker is used to it€™s advantage as Seung Mina is gotten underneath from the front, as the axe strikes the top €˜flipper cover€™ making a lovely dent in the 9mm titanium as the front nose cone raises, lifting Seung Mina up off the ground as the flipper of Seung Mina fires to try and free Seung Mina from Night Stalker as Whirligig slams into the rear of Night stalker making some lovely sparks as the energy is spread thought-out Night stalker as Joey pushes back on Seung Mina, and driving Kody€™s machine towards Golden Lotus which is still sitting in the starting square spinning around on it€™s wheels, creating a mini vortex with the wind being thrown away from the spinning machine.
Night Stalker lines up an attack, Kody is trying to do everything to free his robot from the front end of Night Stalker, as Whirligig is giving chase to try and get another attack onto Night Stalker, as Seung Mina is pushed into Golden Lotus at 20 mph, and is thrown away from the spinning monster, rear end looking a bit worst for wear as the rear panel has managed to be embedded into the arena wall, but Seung Mina is still alive as it starts to move towards Night stalker again, as Joey turns his machine around, as Whirligig gives up the chase as both spinners are heading towards each other, as Seung Mina makes another attack, trying to expose the car-style steering on Night Stalker to get underneath the sides, as Seung Mina hits the rough patch shaking it about as it manages to safety exit the rough patch using it€™s power and ground clearance as Whirligig goes into Golden Lotus, both at full power.
The impact forces shake the arena from the clash as Whirligig is thrown half-way around the arena, the shuffling pads digging into the arena floor, as it stops. Golden Lotus meanwhile has started to move in the arena; Alex is smiling with an evil smile as he gets into a new position to create some more portable arena hazards, Steve is trying to get Whirligig to spin up and walk again, the shuffling pads are moving but slowly. Meanwhile Seung Mina has tries to dodge around the sides of Night Stalker, but Joey€™s shear power as managed to escape danger once more, as Night Stalker goes after Whirligig, slamming into the spinning machine which isn€™t spinning, firing the axe, slamming straight into the feet sending pieces of metal everywhere as the feet, as the front nose cone is raised lifting Whirligig up of the ground.
Night Stalker lines up an attack, as Seung Mina tries to catch up to prevent what€™s going to happen next, as Night Stalker putting on full power rams Whirligig straight into Golden Lotus, as pieces of Whirligig are sent to all 4 corners of the arena as the audience are in shock as it hasn€™t seen so much destruction of a destructive machine for a while, as Seung Mina slams into the randomly placed cardboard box to keep the judges happy, flipping towards Golden Lotus which once again is up-to speed, the cardboard box gives nothing towards survival as it€™s sent to the moon. The front end of Night Stalker has been damaged by that last ram, where Joey accidentally went too far forward to be caught by the blades of the Lotus. Seung Mina has seen the opening, as Whirligig is still alive, which is a surprise, but being alive and being able to continue fighting the war are too different things as it limps forward, the shuffling pads taking some more damage, as Seung Mina comes into the attack.
Golden Lotus meanwhile is still spinning around, as Alex is looking for his next meal, as Night Stalker and Seung Mina have a face-off, the damaged front of Night Stalker playing to it€™s weakness as the lifting nose has broken as both machines are coming together as both machines dodge each other, Seung Mina spinning around on it€™s wheels, showing the world the exposed rear end, as Night Stalker takes a bit longer to spin around, as the half-way point of the fight is sounded, both machines are heading towards each other once more, as Whirligig is still moving, as Golden lotus is still spinning, there is a loud crash as both Seung Mina and Night Stalker hit head-on, the axe firing as the front end of Seung Mina is underneath Night Stalker, as the axe manages to strike the top of Seung Mina, on one of the main bars of the flipper, placing a rather nasty looking dent in the flipper, as the flipper fires sending Night Stalker up, but not over, but the 2 wheels are still touching the ground as Joey puts on full power and manages to send his robot over onto it€™s back. Kody comes in with another attack, catching Night Stalker before it can self-right and forces the house robot down the pit.
Night Stalker is down and out, there is 90 seconds left to play, Whirligig is as good as dead, as it€™s Seung Mina against Golden Lotus, and Kody hasn€™t got a clue at what to do, as he has seen what power is in that Lotus when it€™s spinning around, as it€™s creating it€™s own climate system. A quick talk between Steve and Kody leaves both robotics unsure at what to do, not wanting to run the risk of losing the judges decision on damage caused to Whirligig which has stopped working, Steve hanging up his controller, as the Ref is slowly counting it out, after being battered like a cod, to keep on running until now proves that Whirligig has reliably on it€™s side, as it€™s just Kody left against Alex, Seung Mina against Golden lotus, the flipper against the half-ton spinning machine, Alex and Joey are chatting, as Joey€™s machine is lying at the bottom of the pit on it€™s side, as 60 seconds are left, as the high energy start as slowly died out, as Seung Mina is circling Golden Lotus, Kody doesn€™t want to go in and attack Golden Lotus head first because he knows there is a strong possibility that the front flipper will be ripped clean off, and the rear end is already damaged thanks to Night Stalker€™s earlier effects at pushing Seung Mina into the Lotus.
30 seconds remain, as the judges are making notes, as it€™s been 40 seconds of circling by Seung Mina, and it looks like it€™s going to be another 30 seconds of circling unless Kody can think of something to do against Golden Lotus, which doesn€™t look like happening, as Golden Lotus starts to actually move, still spinning, but moving as it is looking to try and attack Seung Mina to score some aggression points, but time is ticking away as Seung Mina manages to outpace Golden Lotus as time slowly disappears, disappearing into the black hole, disappearing away€¦
Cease
That€™s it 5 minutes are up, the judges have been called in to decide, on Aggression, Damage Caused and Control.
Both teams had 1 robot disabled, so moving on, to Aggression. Team Seung Mina/Whirligig were aggressive at the start of the match, with both machines launching into attacks, some of which were successful, some of which resulted in damage. Team Lotus/Stalker has Golden Lotus spinning for pretty much all fight, but it was more of a passive aggression, spinning on the spot like a portable arena hazard instead of attacking, so it is marked down. Night Stalker brings up the scores by attacking both members of the other team, which is marked down for the period of non-aggression at the end of the fight after Night Stalker was pitted. The panel of 3 judges sitting at the high council has decided to award team Seung Mina/Whirligig 9 points and team Lotus/Stalker 6 points.
Damage Caused
Well let€™s have a look at the judges sheets for damage, Whirligig was damaged quite a lot, but it did manage to put a dent in the rear of Night Stalker, the portable arena hazard of Golden Lotus managed to cause quite a lot of damage, but so did the axe of Night Stalker, and so those 2 house robots get 11 points, compared to the 4 points given to Seung Mina and Whirligig.
Control
The judges aren€™t happy with Golden Lotus, they are saying it lacked control and just sat still and span for the majority of the match, Night Stalker left itself open to attack and in the end ended up in the pit which counted down, Seung Mina had control throughout managing to dodge some attacks and Whirligig never gave up so they get 10 points to Team Lotus/Stalker getting 5 points.
The totals are that Golden Lotus and Night Stalker scored 22 points, and Seung Mina 4 and Whirligig 4 scored 23 points. The control booth of Kody and Steve explode with cheers as Alex and Joey are looking on, but it€™s long night for Steve as he has got to fix Whirligig up.
Next time it is
Nitro-Gene 4 & Alpha-Rex vs. Magnavox & Fin
So thoughts, tactics or predictions.

The Fight against House Robots Revisited
Predictions: Fin to be decimated when it drives into the plot hole that was Magnavox. If that doesnt happen, Magnavox will still be immobilised when it gets jolted and the car battery leaks all over the internals, and Fin will end up doing a turtle impression.
Thoughts: Bullocks. Defeated by bad self righting and a video game character...

The Fight against House Robots Revisited
The Fight Against the House Robots Revisited, Round 1, Fight 2:
Nitro-Gene 4.0314159265358979323846€¦ & Alpha-Rex vs. Magnavox & Fin
The first robot into the arena to fight today is Nitro-Gene 4.0314159265358979323846€¦, Nitro-Gene 4.0314159265358979323846€¦ is a low invertible box with a nasty wedge at the front, powering the weapon of Nitro-Gene 4.0314159265358979323846€¦ is nitrogen, giving quite a bit of kick to the first few flips which should throw things far. The drive is provided by 4 wheels each with their own motor, giving quite a bit of punch and speed. Nitro-Gene 4.0314159265358979323846€¦ is pretty much bullet-proof, but for strong armour panels has Paul made cut-backs in the strength of the chassis to make the robot in weight?
The second robot into the arena teaming up with Nitro-Gene 4.0314159265358979323846€¦, ah sod it teaming up with Nitro-Gene 4.0 (happy now Paul?) is Alpha-Rex, another flipper powered by nitrogen, this time it is a more standard shaped box with I guess some type of tongue to get underneath robots with, Alpha-Rex has 2 wheel drive at the rear and titanium armour. It looks like a neat little robot, however with such a powerful flipper it might have problems self-righting as it might do fancy 360s, also with only 2 wheel drive, the front might lift up during acceleration and without a wedge to speak off, it might have problems putting that powerful flipper into use.
The 3rd item into the arena today is a mysterious man carrying a mysterious object covered by a mysterious blue cloth as he places it into the mysterious 5th corner, it is revealed to be today€™s required element of a broken toaster, to help bring toast to the world, and the mysterious man disappears though a mysterious hole which appeared mysteriously and as suddenly as it appears the hole disappears sending the broken toaster into a random part of the arena though the closure of the 5th corner in the cube.
The 4th robot to enter the arena is Magnavox; this Sir Killalot look-a-like even has tracks, but as it drives towards its starting square, something inside of the robot starts to make an awful noise which suddenly ends as Magnavox drives to its starting square. This house robot has a nasty spinning flywheel attached to the left arm, but due to the high level engineering which has gone into making Mark€™s machine, the flywheel motor is attached to the main body with some sort of exposed belt drive system driving the flywheel on the under-belly of the arm. On the 2nd arm is a claw, again powerful but it has exposed hydraulic pipes to allow the arm to move freely. It can€™t self-right, but those skirts might protect it against some flippers.
The 5th and final robot to enter the arena today is Fin, this multi-weapon machine has a front trapping wedge in which to trap robots, 2 side drums which are too protect the sides from robots from diving underneath the 1cm ground clearance and flipping the machine over onto it€™s back where it has no self-righter, at the rear is an axe mounted on the rear of the machine to act like a tail. Fin packs a punch from its drive system, but in a battle against 2 powerful flippers will its lack of a self-righter add against it?
Dan and Paul are in control booth number 1, and Paul & Liam are in control booth number 2.
3

Activate
Fin is away, punching a punch from its motors as it aims for a fast attack, as Mark puts Magnavox into forward drive, as starts moving the tracked machine forward, meanwhile Nitro-Gene and Alpha Rex are thinking whom to attack first, as they dodge an attack from Fin as Nitro-Gene sets off towards Magnavox which is moving on its tracks as it meets Nitro-Gene head-on, the front wedge of Nitro-Gene beating the front wedge of Magnavox as the flipper fires sending Magnavox onto the broken toaster, landing on it€™s back. Meanwhile at the other side of the arena, Alpha Rex has got caught by Fin, Dan trapping Liam€™s machine towards a rock and a hard-place.
Danny seeing what has happened to his partners robot quickly puts on full power with Alpha-Rex still on the front wedge, straight into the arena wall, Alpha-Rex spins out of the front as Nitro-gene comes out to play, as Fin powers it€™s way out of a sticky situation, smashing into Magnavox trying to right it, but spins Magnavox onto it€™s side rather than onto it€™s tracks, as Nitro-gene and Alpha-Rex give chase to Fin, as Dan spins his machine around and drives towards both vapourbots again, as Nitro-Gene and Alpha-Rex dives around the sides of Fin, Dan spins around to counter-act Nitro-Gene as it has the more dangerous wedge, but Alpha-Rex gives chase and when Nitro-Gene is slammed into the arena wall, Alpha-Rex gets underneath the rear end, the rear axe giving no problems as the flipper fires, sending Fin onto it€™s top, next to Nitro-Gene, which steams away from the scene of the crime.
The job for both Nitro-Gene and Alpha-Rex is done, both house robots are stuck in a moment they can€™t get out off, as the ref is counting Fin down.
Cease
2 flips is all that was needed to put Magnavox and Fin onto their backs, Nitro-Gene 4.0 and Alpha-Rex go forward to round 2.
The next fight is Mega Masher 2 & Armory vs. Apocalyptinator and Custard Cream. But hold your horses, I€™m hearing from the pits that Mega Masher 2 has been involved into a rather nasty accident, when Chris was in the safety area testing the rear vertical disc of Mega Masher, the robot when out of control, driving rear end first into the solid harden concrete wall, after making a nasty mess of the wall, the entire disc unit got pushed into the machine still spinning, and causing quite a lot of internal damage to the electronics, of which Chris hasn€™t been able to repair, so he has had to redraw Mega Master 2 from the competition.
Mark, not wanting to be at a disadvantage has cloned himself and Armoury.
So the next fight is Armoury & Clone of Armoury vs. Apocalyptinator and Custard Cream.
Tactics, predictions etc?

Yes, very good fight - pleased at putting Dan and Mark in their place, but annoyed at Nitro-Genes chassis being called weak when its a monocoque, and has the edges designed not to be torn off, and also you calling it Nitro-Gene 4.0314159265358979323846...

PREDICTIONS:
The universe will at some point realise that having two Mark Elams is a Very Bad Thing (r) and will automatically seek to correct itself through the opening of a plot hole.
However, the plot hole will inadvertedly end up being a portal to Hell, and demons will emerge and kill all the humans before beginning to transform the arena into an extension of Hellish corruption.
Liam, having been away from the arena at the time of the incident, must enter the building and try and stop the demonic invasion himself, through a process which involves chainsaws, gore, blood, more gore, more blood, moral outrage, large guns that shoot big balls of plasma, bad movies starring ex wrestlers, and a thing that looks like a brain on legs.
When he sucessfully travels through the arena, the pit area, and Hell itself, shooting anything in his path, he will come across a giant iconic image of Frank Goacher on a wall, which he must shoot repeatedly until he damages a small appartition of Joeys head on a stick inside the wall enough for the hellish threat to finally dissapate, and rest in the knowledge that he saved the human species.
Also, both Armorys will be pitted very quickly.

The Fight against House Robots Revisited
So any suggestions for the require element for destruction?
First of all a cardboard box was sent back to an atomic level by Golden Lotus
Then an old broken toaster was put behind a floor and Magnavox, hence it was flatter than a flat piece of paper which had just been steam-roller over by the worlds largest steam-roller (driven by evil Frank).
Im thinking about a table or maybe a kettle

The World€™s Slowest Writer Presents:
Fight against the House Robots Revisited, Round 1, Fight 3
So far into the 2nd round is 2 teams of vapourbots, so will the house robots make a fight back to claim their first win?
Armoury & Clone of Armoury vs. Apocalyptinator and Custard Cream.
The first robot into the arena today is Armoury, driven by the one and only original Mark, this machine according to Andy has 2 wheels externally mounted somewhere on the body plus 2 wheels where you would be expecting them to be, it is invertible and is a box with a front wedge, with a 20kg spinning disc mounted somewhere, which I will be assuming it€™s mounted at the back of the machine.
The 2nd robot into the arena today is Clone of Armoury, which is basically Armoury right down to the same colour apart from a large patch on the top of the machine to tell the 2 clones apart.
The 3rd robot into the arena today is Apocalyptinator, it is a heavy armoured wedge with mighty vertical flywheel of which I€™m assuming is mounted on the front for max damage, and there is a flipper at the front which is a flipper and also self-righter. The drive system is mighty powerful, and so is the armour, due to the power from the drive, the ground clearance is rather low on the front and rear, but you have to be quick to attack this 500KG monster as one hit from that flywheel could send your robot into outer space.
The 4th and final robot into the arena today is Custard Cream, this 300kg robot is mainly a land-based slicing machine, with a 50KG sharpen sword swinging around attached to the rear of the sword is a 75KG block of lead and some nasty springs so once the sword gets swinging it takes a lot to stop it if it catches you. The armour is only 6mm Hardox, and it has 8 wheel drive, but can turn as well as a 4 wheel drive system due to its semi-unique dolly system, driven by Paul, he is hoping to have a slice of Armoury for his Gin and Tonic tonight.
All 4 robots are ready, the clones are ready to attack, Apocalyptinator is ready to be evil and Custard Cream is ready to slice:

Apocalyptinator is away, straight away, no holding this machine back, as the flywheel€™s variable drive system starts spinning the flywheel up to deadly speeds by slowly bringing in the 4 motors, as Custard Cream€™s light on top is on, signalling to Paul that the sword is ready to fire. Armoury and Clone of Armoury are getting their weapons up to speed, as Mark dodges an early attack from Apocalyptinator as Clone dives out of the way, as Apocalyptinator ploughs on forward, spinning around on it€™s tracks. Meanwhile Armoury is getting ready to attempt to attack Custard Cream, as Paul is lining up an attack.
Clone dives again away from Apocalyptinator, as Liam gives chase, the slightly higher speed of Clone manages to pull it away from Apocalyptinator, but Liam is driving Clone towards Armoury, as Mark€™s machine has to dodge Clone to prevent his machine being taken out by his own team mate, but the dodge of Clone brings Armoury straight into the path of the raging Apocalyptinator, which flywheel hits the rear end of Armoury, sending Mark€™s machine flying, as it crash lands into the arena wall, still doing some speed, the chassis gives way and folds in onto itself, as it crashes down onto the arena floor, a complete and utter mess. It€™s 2 house robots against 1, as Custard Cream tracks down Clone, as Apocalyptinator is also tracking down Clone. Clone of Mark is getting worried as he has to dodge not one but 2 house robots, as Apocalyptinator make a raging attack towards Clone. Clone of Mark dodges Apocalyptinator, but Custard Cream is on top of it, or on the side of it, as Clone is trapped in the trap, the flywheel making a little mess of the side armour of Custard, but the light goes out as the 50kg sword swings around powered by a 75kg counterweight and some springs, as Apocalyptinator is standing next to Clone to prevent it running away as the sword hits, Clone is pushed up right against arena wall, so it can€™t get anywhere as a bang is heard as the sword and Paul redraws.
Apocalyptinator holds back as clone of Mark holds up his tapping out card
