Righty...
...by your post, I assume I wasnt the only one who couldnt post earlier?
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS!
Commiserations Mark, I gotta say this version of Cyrilium was much improved from the first one.
My first battle, and a win!
Tactics for round 2:
This one will be much tougher, I could be out here. Im not homing in on anyone in particular, but if anyone goes near the walls then go straight in and flip em out. Also at the start of the bout Ill open the pit, so if I get a chance I can shove anyone in, hopefully Requiem or Leprosy.
I couldnt post earlier either.

Maybe this explains why Mortis shaped robots are easy to beat.
I wouldnt have said theyre easy to beat Mark, but if your lifter was the same power as Mortis it was underpowered, as Mortis was 80kg, your bot was 100kg
So why did you build a Mortis shaped robot?
Theres nothing wrong with the basic shape, its more that Mortis had a high ground clearance and seemingly continual mechanical failures...if it had been reliable and perhaps drven a bit better, it could have done much better than it did in the wars.
Having seen Mortis up close and personal, and having seen it in action several times I can assure you, Mortis was as reliable as any robot out there and way ahead of its time. Particularly in the live events higher groundclearence is not a downside either.
General tactics are to come in with the disc on anybody who happens to be in the way. Its a 5-way battle so proper tactics go out of the window
I realise that, I was just referring to the way they went out in series 3 and 4 (broken track? and lifter problems).
Darn It!!
Another loss, but hey, at least I have a good machine.
Mark - I am +1>SO fed up of your annoying, continuous posts which lack common sense! You knew about your defeat way in advance and stop doing this. I wish now that Timothy was back, because compared to you, he was Einstein.
+1>STOP SENDING IDIOTIC MESSAGES!
Mark, just naff off. Nobody is going to help you if youre going to act like a total prat.
Joy - despite Marks idiotic filled posts, I feel in a good mood for today, and so will you (hopefully ) after reading the next Annihilator round! Enjoy!
ROUND TWO
No Objections vs. Leprosy Infection vs. Requiem vs. Brutalis 2.0 vs. Spiny
NO OBJECTIONS vs. LEPROSY INFECTION vs. REQUIEM vs. BRUTALIS 2.0 vs. SPINY
Booth #1: Liam E, Joey M
Booth #2: Chris M
Booth #3: Dave S, Daniel S
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
The three spinning weapons of Leprosy Infection, Spiny and Requiem rotate up to their velocity, and now No Objections and Brutalis move out, chosing a target€¦Joey has chosen, and aims for Requiem! Brutalis moves out and Leprosy is his target, but Chris speeds forward to greet it! Leprosy stylishly swifts to the left side of Dantomkia-shaped robot, and the teeth dig in, and Brutalis tumbles over! Marks in the Hardox bodywork are noted by the audience, and so is the quick response of Liam to thrust his robot back onto its wheels! Liam puts the power down to drive away, but Chris pushes on again, seeming to give Brutalis no rest and no room to run! Spiny meanwhile is having another go at Requiem, while No Objections seems to be remaining low€¦until now - Joey goes into a spin, and Requiem is suddenly forced back onto it by Dave! Suddenly, Daniel€™s robot experiences the blasts from the spinning ring and the spinning disc! His has left pieces of Ti/V Alloy scattered over the arena floor, allowing for another run-up by Spiny - BASH! This time, both machines are deflected! Elsewhere, the Leprosy Infection and Brutalis battle is still raging, but Brutalis is knocked over again! Another self-right, but another income of drum! Liam is starting to feel slightly worried, as he hasn€™t got an attack in on Leprosy, but suddenly reverses from Chris€™ robot and powers forward and at long last underneath! Now Brutalis is shoving the drummer to the edge€¦FLIP! No! Leprosy is only flung over, and now pushes unto the wedge of Brutalis once more, the turned-over drum scraping away at the front armour. No Objections is doing queit and effective work, pushing underneath Spiny and ramming it into the drum of Requiem! BOOM! Spiny gets flung up, and now Joey puts his power down and pushes Spiny across the ring and into Leprosy Infection! Spiny seems to have the powerful blade though, and Leprsoy takes some damage to the drum€¦NO - THE CHAIN HAS COME LOOSE! Daniel is pushing his controls in all directions, but something seems to have been dislodged from it! Requirem is being counted right down!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦cease!!!
Liam is relieved that he€™s through, but suddenly Spiny hits in! A Hardox panel flies off of the battebot, and he flies as well! Brutalis lands OOTA! But Liam knows he€™s safe, as Leprosy Infection, Spiny and No Objections stand strong!
Result:
Requirem needs more strength required, as well as a cab to go home!
BRUTALIS 2.0, LEPROSY INFECTION, NO OBJECTIONS AND SPINY GO THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND!!!
ROUND THREE
No Objections vs. Leprosy Infection vs. Brutalis 2.0 vs. Spiny
Send in tactics, comments, predictions and few helpers to clean the arena :proud:
*sends his minions to clean up the arena*
Im going to risk it and ask Liam if he wants some sort of a team up against the other two. Otherwise, my tactics are mostly the same - spin, move away if I stop spinning, avoid the pit, and if I have to target anyone, go for Leposy Infection with the lifter and stop the drum.
Good luck Liam, Chris, Dave :)
Why Chris, why?
Sure, Ill team up with Joey again. If I dont Im almost certainly out! I seem to be doing OK so far, considering this is my first proper tourney, but Brutalis is feeling the heat after that round!!
Good Luck everyone!:)
And Joey, I propose we target Leprosy- I WANT REVENGE.
Also, great battles from Paul it must be said.
Sorry Liam
Want to team up against Leprosy?
Im all for it Dave!
DIE LEPROSY DIE
Im going for Leprosy as well...Chris may need a binbag at some point :proud:
Take it as a compliment, we think your robots are so good they have to die...
Well, it seems I have 3 members for my new club:
KILL-LEPROSY-INFECTION-AFTER-WHAT-IT-DID-TO-ME
Members:
Me
Joey
Dave
:proud:
Well, Im officially STUFFED!
Still, I do have tactics. Keep the drum aimed at one of the three remaining robots and NO other robot. Whoever gets hit first will be my target for the rest of the match.
And if the drum breaks or something, open the pit and dive down it.
Leprosy against a 3-bot team up? Chances of survival = -703.14%
KODY! Now youve said that, Leprosys going to win the entire thing
Dont worry, I had an anti-jinxing device nearby. :proud:
After ages of trying to write this big battle, Ive finally done it!
ROUND THREE
No Objections vs. Leprosy Infection vs. Brutalis 2.0 vs. Spiny
NO OBJECTIONS vs. LEPROSY INFECTION vs. BRUTALIS 2.0 vs. SPINY
Booth #1: Liam E, Joey M
Booth #2: Chris M
Booth #3: Dave S
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Joey, Liam and Dave have already thought out their battle plan, and set off, and now close in on Leprosy Infection€¦and Chris spins up and darts into the pack of robots! Chris powers in and slams into Spiny€™s side! Dave€™s robot tumbles over, and now feels Leprosy forcing on more pressure, now hitting the armour inwards! Brutalis is rushing to the defence of Spiny, and rams underneath Leprosy and flips it away from Spiny, and now is going after Leprosy, and Chris goes into reverse, and Brutalis moves on, but Chris makes a good turn, and has got side-on to Brutalis and pushes on, and Brutalis is spun over again, before No Objections and Spiny come in for assistance! No Objections hits the lifting arm against the drum, grinding it down to a stop, and now Brutalis is flipping Leprosy over yet again, while Spiny opens the pit! The noise is sounding and the pit is lowering, and yet more pressure is forced onto Leprosy, as Brutalis scoops under and slams it into No Objections who has gone into a spin! WHACK! A panel has come off, leaving the internals exposed for an attack by Spiny who is speeding in€¦NO! Leprosy has dodged that well, and hits into Spiny once again, tipping the wedge upwards and over! Leprosy now drives backwards for another attack€¦BANG! Spiny is flying over, and again€¦BOOM! Off flies the side armour, and now Dave is feeling scared, as Leprosy gets under with the wedge and is pushing him to the edge! Brutalis is driving in as Leprosy slams Spiny against the side, and Brutalis gets underneath Leprosy near the wall! He flips€¦Leprosy Infection is on top of the wall, and Brutalis is about the make an attack in to finish it off€¦but no! Leprosy Infection has escaped from the side and incomes No Objections speeding in to take Leprosy down! But Chris spins INTO No Objections and flings it onto its back, and the lifter is ready to activate and self-right the trouble robot from Pontefract, but Leprosy has taken advantage of this, and smashes into the side of Spiny, sending it FLYING INTO THE AIR! On the wall, and the final blow€¦YES! Out goes Spiny!
Result:
Spiny may be spinning but it certainly ain€™t winning!
BRUTALIS 2.0, LEPROSY INFECTION AND NO OBJECTIONS GO THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND!!!
ROUND FOUR
No Objections vs. Leprosy Infection vs. Brutalis 2.0
Send in tactics, comments, predictions and a reason why Eddie Izzard is a better stand-up than Russell Brand :proud:
Tactics:
Joey, want to team up again? (sorry Chris!)I still want revenge on Leprosy.
Good luck all.
Yep, that sounds good - I was waiting to see what would happen until posting...
TACTICS: Spin, and when Im not spinning try and stop Leprosys drum for Liam to flip it. Avoid the hazard type things, and eat my greens...
Good luck Liam, Chris
What the heck. Same tactics as the last bout. Whoever I hit first, stay on for the whole match.
Sorry this battle is a bit short, but its all I could do with what tactics I had. Enjoy!
ROUND FOUR
No Objections vs. Leprosy Infection vs. Brutalis 2.0
NO OBJECTIONS vs. LEPROSY INFECTION vs. BRUTALIS 2.0
Booth #1: Liam E
Booth #2: Chris M
Booth #3: Joey M
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Leprosy is off the line at a lightning fast rate, drum spinning, as Brutalis and No Objections follow inwards. Leprosy shifts to face straight Brutalis, and ram together! Leprosy once again gets the better of Brutalis in this battle, and the wedge rams under the box of Brutalis, and flings it over! Liam is worrying once more, and his flipper/self-righter activates, but Chris is ready to hit in again, and now that Hardox armour isn€™t looking well, as the bolts on a panel loosens dramatically! No Objections though its ready to push, and does so, ramming that lifter once again against the spinner drum weapon, SPARKS FLY AS THE DRUM GRINDS TO A HALT! Leprosy puts all its pushing force down, and is inching No Objections backwards, but now the lifter comes in, and Leprosy is raised above the ground, as No Objections slams it backwards at a scary velocity! BANG! And now we see the powerful Brutalis ready for revenge, as Liam forces the spikes under! Leprosy is now right against the side-wall, and Liam is seeking for revenge€¦a flip! Leprosy on the wall, and now in moves Brutalis once more comes in€¦FLIP! Now ends the impressive run of the almighty Leprosy Infection!
Result:
Leprosy Infection is feeling pig sick!
BRUTALIS 2.0 AND NO OBJECTIONS GO THROUGH TO THE ANNIHILATOR FINAL!!!
ANNIHILATOR FINAL:
No Objections vs. Brutalis 2.0
Send in tactics, comments, predictions, the reason why Eddie Izzard isa better stand-up than Russell Brand, and the power to ask for a new Sly Cooper game to made NOW :proud: (Yes - Im that sad, 14 and still playing that game series :lame:)
Righty...weve worked well together, but now is the time for the best robot to win...
TACTICS:
Ill go for the strategy Ive used before - spin on the spot and hope to cause damage. If it comes down do close quarters and Im not spinning, though, try and get the front facing Brutalis and drive the lifter into the ground so hell find it more difficult to get under me, than if I can get under him Ill tip over, keep the lifter pinning him down so he cant self right, and pit.
Avoid the pit unless it is for the purposes of pitting Brutalis.
Best of luck, Liam  and dont feel sad, Paul, I still play a lot of Pokemon...
YAY!
My first tourney, and Im at least guaranteed second place.
TACTICS:
No Objections is the right shape for Brutalis. If Joey spins Ill just open the pit and wait for him to stop! When he does stop (hell have to, as he wont get any points for spinning wildly, more like get counted out for not moving!) I can rush in and throw him onto his back. His self-righting isnt slow, but it isnt as fast as mine. When hes on his back I shall not retreat, but ram in underneath and either go for an OOTA or the pit. Either way Im really happy with how Brutalis has performed, though I was worried how Leprosy got underneath so easily. Brutalis doesnt wheely like Dantomkia did, as its heavier at the front.
Good Luck Joey:)
And if you think Sly Cooper and Pokemon is bad, on rainy days I get out my PS1 and play SPYRO. You heard me right. And Im 13.
This is gonna be a brilliant battle.
I personally think that Brutalis will win this match.
Slight change of plan...when spinning, adjust the pressure on the transmitter joysticks so I do move about somewhat :proud:
Hmph:yawn:
I said move about somewhat, I didnt mention having any control over things like directions :P
Meh, Ill just watch you spin around. Did No Objections win an annihilator before Joey?
Once, although it was a hypo - the Southern Annihilator in C&B Extreme.
Hey im 37 and I play Pokemon Red and Green still. I dont like the newer versions.
I play Pokemon semi-competitively online.
Badly, but I do.
Hell, I imported D/P the day it came out in the US.
*Is a complete fanboy*
We all go in this forum - thats sad in itself :proud:(Joke) Now, I decided to post the Annihilator final at the same time I finished by Challenge Belt battle, so here is the final of the Annihilator
ANNIHILATOR FINAL:
No Objections vs. Brutalis 2.0
NO OBJECTIONS vs. BRUTALIS 2.0
Booth #1: Liam E
Booth #2: Joey M
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
No Objections straight away goes into an almighty spin whilst Brutalis powers down the ring into the pit release button. The noise quickly sounds, as Liam ploughs on into the spinning whirl of No Objections as the teeth grab onto the wedge, and spin Brutalis around! No Objections now stops spinning around on the spot, and brings the lifter into play, as Brutalis gets turned over! Liam instantly activates his flipper weaponry, as Brutalis self-righted in a less than stylish way, suggesting that the gas tank may have taken some serious damage! Brutalis pushes in again, but this time the favourite rides up that wedge! FLIP! Over goes No Objections! Joey activates that lifting arm, but Brutalis pushes in once more, and we see No Objections being edged towards the pit€¦BOOM! Down it goes! Liam leaps up and punches the plexiglass of his control booth, having won the Annihilator!
Result:
Fire And Ice fines the disappointment far too chilling!!
+2>BRUTALIS 2.0 WINS THE E.O.T.R ANNIHILATOR!!!
Well, thats all and...
Goodbyeeeeeeeeeeee
