Tri-tanium is invertable, right?
Yes, but it cant reright itself, and given the direction of the discs, it cant reverse the discs, so its stuffed. But if I ram something fast enough, the discs will right the robot.
The name of my entry is abyssal swordsmen, I only put achilles stats there as it makes up 1/4 of the weight and its current stats arent on the site - read the paragraph before the achilles stats for details on abyssal swordmen
Oh my mistake. Ill edited this.
1. Rocky Dennis vs. Tri-tanium
2. Shadow Zone 1.1 vs. King Rat
3. Abyssal Swordsmen vs. ?
4. ? vs. ?
Still waiting for the three robots.
Wait a minute. I check your stats and Abyssal Swordsmen is 350 KG. Hes too overweight for this one.
He starts out as a walker, and Alex modified ArchAngel of the Abyss for this tournament so it is 200kg. Combined with the other bots it is 400kg, and starting out as a walker it should be within the weight limit.

I see. Well Im actually going to accept that.
Double Post. My bad

Andre, whats your rule on clusterbots, if 1 part is counted out, all the parts are counted out?
Yes. If one part of the clusterbots is counted, all the parts of the robots is eliminated.
I still waiting for the 3 robots.
Be patient, Andre. They will come eventually.
Youre right about that, Kody.
Patient.....anytime is just great.
Id just get one more entry and make it a series 4 style heat, with two three way melees at the start.
Ill enter a clusterbot consisting of 2x Flick of the Wrist please
stats in Kody and my boards, you need a link?
If I were you, Andre, Id do the draw all over again. :proud:
And Id also like to change my entry, if you do. :)
Yes. I certainly may need a link for it.
Heres my clusterbot, two identical parts
2x
quote:
Name - Flick of the Wrist
Shape - 6-wheeled Tornado, including the angled rear to keep in contact with the ground while driving up a wedge
Weight - 100 Kilogram
Speed - 35 km/h (22mph)
Dimensions - 120x80x20 cm
Ground Clearance - 10 mm under the main body, variable clearance under the lifting spikes, with 0 mm as a minimum
Power - 2 B42-500 Magmotors at 48 volt
Movement - 6 wheels for awesome traction
Turning Circle - Zero
Weaponry - A pair of hardox, diamond tipped electric lifting spikes, a lot like the lifting spatula of American SHW Vladiator. These are 25 cm in length and can be lifted downwards which turns them into an active invertible lifting wedge. They can also be raised parallel to the floor, so they can act as a pair of classic ramming spikes. A 100 kg robot driving around at 22 mph is good for 5 kJ of kinetic energy. When this is brought onto a pair of diamond tipped spikes, this might seriously harm some armours.
Armour - 7 mm titanium all around
Srimech - It€™s invertible
Strenghts - High speed rambot, awesome traction
Weakness - Lack of devestating weapons
The round 1 draw:
1. Rocky Dennis vs. Tri-tanium
2. Shadow Zone 1.1 vs. King Rat
3. Abyssal Swordsmen vs. Flick Of The Wrist
4. ? vs. ?
lol, the draws based on who got his entry in first :proud:
Sorry Kody, you enter your robot to my tournament and youll have to stick with the robot that youll enter
can you rename mine Flick of the Wrist 2x please, so people wont cofuse it with the original Flick of the Wrist?
Sure. Just curious is your robot 100kg or 200kg? Just want to check.
2x 100 kg Andre :proud:
200 kg
Ok, now I really know the facts:
1. Rocky Dennis vs. Tri-tanium
2. Shadow Zone 1.1 vs. King Rat
3. Abyssal Swordsmen vs. Flick Of The Wrist 2x
4. ? vs. ?
Ok, now I waiting for 2 reserve people to enter their robots.
No, I was stating that if you re-do the draw (which you should, actually :P), then I should be allowed to change my entry because I wouldnt know who Im facing yet. :P
But whatever. My main tactics still stand. :P
(Message edited by kodster on March 15, 2008)
Re-draw, sure, Ill re-draw. And you know what Kody. I was thinking about it and if you want to change your entry. Ill allowed that for this tournament, ok?
Can I modify King Rat a bit, in that case?
Yes you may, Joey.
Righty-o...
King Rat
WEIGHT: 200kgs
DIMENSIONS: 120 x 70 x 45 cms
SHAPE: Somewhat like a rat - an elongated dome with one pointed end.
COLOUR: Blackish grey, thanks to the fur
DRIVE: 3 LEM200 motors driving 2 rear wheels from 4 SLA batteries at 48v - the robot uses car type steering from a windscreen wiper motor moving two unpowered front wheels.
SPEED: 24mph average, 40+ mph max
GROUND CLEARANCE: 0 at the front due to the forks, 7mm at the sides and rear
ARMOUR: 7mm titanium (7mm hardox in critical areas) all around the top, covered in 2mm black Kevlar fur, with an 8mm aluminium baseplate.
WEAPONS: Primarily a rammer - has four 25cm long tungsten tipped Hardox blades/spikes in the robots front nose to inflict damage. Also has a pair of hardened steel lifting forks in the nose, running flat with the ground and running from a Parvalux PM1 motor and a lead screw that can lift 400kgs, and an electrically powered 60cm long steel axe with a tungsten tipped blade, running off an S28-150 Magmotor and a Mortis style linkage that can hit twice a second.
SRIMECH: Is designed to roll back onto its wheels if tipped over, and has a low centre of gravity to aid in this.
NOTES: Has laser eyes, furry ears and a long fabric tail, and lots of shockproofing to protect from spinners.
STRENGTHS: Very controllable, fast, good ramming and pushing power
WEAKNESSES: Large turning circle, easily flipped (but does roll over if flipped)
All right. In that case, I would like to enter the following two heavyweights as a clusterbot.

So youre replacing Super Gore Evo and Tira III instead of Flick Of The Wrist 2x, Kody?
Flick Of The Wrist is Martijns entry, not Kodys.
And Kody, may I ask how you worked out a strong paperclip was enough to hold two skirts together? :proud:
So far. We have 7 robots left. Now we have to wait for AJ robot to enter. Oh yeah, that reminds me, there also a melee which all the entrants that sign up here, The same 8 entrants will face a rumble. Just to let you know.
AJ where are you?!
Ok, AJ Ill give you a week to show up your robot otherwise, Itll be a 6 or 7 round anhillialator battle.
Sorry about the delay, must have missed these posts. Here is my entry:
Name: Shovearound 2
Shape: Box with sloped sides and rear due to skirts.
Length: 800mm
Width: 800mm
Height: 250mm
Weight: 200kgs
Drive: 4x LEM130 motors driven at 36v providing 36hp.
Speed: 28mph
Ground Clearance: 5mm at the front, with 0mm at the sides and rear.
Armour: 12mm Hardox all over, including the skirts.
Weapon: Panic Attack style Hardox lifting forks that can work both ways up. These are driven by two linear actuators.
Self-righting mechanism: Shovearound 2 is invertible.
Notes: :)
:proud::proud::proud:
Andy I like your style
