Paul, Im sorry I havent written for so long. My internet wasnt working.
Im sorry about that. Samuels spot is reinstated. You have your old list, but I need 2 pf your new vapourbots.
Black Death
Shape: Box with wedge
Weight: 100kg
Dimensions: 90 X 87 X 30
Drive: 2 X 24V LEM-130
Wheels: 2 Aluminum Hub Wheels with a thin layer of urethane rubber
Top Speed: 19 mph
Batteries: 4 X 24V NiCad Battlepacks
TC: Zero
GC: 0mm on front, 5mm on the back and sides
Weapon: Flipper powered by 2 X CO2 Fire Extinguisher Tanks, 10 kg Spinning Flywheel on the back powered by a single LEM-170, spinning at about 6000RPM
Srimech: Flipper
Strengths: Flipper, Good Pusher
Weaknesses: None Hopefully
Walk Don€™t Run
Shape: Circle
Weight: 140 kg
Dimensions: 89 X 89 X 20
Drive: 4 Shuffling Pads with 6 Legs with vulkalon rubber
Batteries: 5 X 24V NiCad BattlePacks
TC: Zero
Top Speed: 15 mph
GC: 5mm
Weapon: A 39kg Spinning ring Spinning at 2500 RPM powered by a 36V LEM-130
Srimech: A Linear Acutated Bar, like Hypnodisc
Strengths: Good Weapon, If anything happens to the spinning ring, it can use a Storm 2-style tacitc: RAM TO DEATH!!
Weaknesses: Doesn€™t Like Flippers, even if it does have a srimech.
Just one problem - Walk Dont Run is too heavy - its 110kg for Shufflers.
Time to enter my updated Achilles I feel. Images can be found in the picture thread.
Achilles
Weight: 100kg
Shape: box, slightly thicker than tornado, not double sided, sides skirted like Panic Attack, back curved for more efficient srimech (like the original hydra), front is sloped at 45 degrees and tapered inwards so that any hits to the front will go to the reinforced flipper plate€¦ See the image.
Wheels: Four internal cast aluminium wheels (similar to tornados Go Cart wheels in design but only half the width) and using treaded go-kart style tyres of appropriate diameters.
Motors: 4x S28-400 Magmotors at 24v
Speed: 18mph,
Turning circle: 0m
Armour: 5mm titanium and on top 10mm of polyurethane rubber to stop axes and crushers The flipper itself is a hardox frame and front plate (4mm) and the spatula being titanium. The internal rams are mounted onto a hardox crossbar but otherwise the top of the flipper it is now armoured with 10mm polycarbonate and the aforementioned rubber.
Ground clearance: At the front, the flipper spatula essentially gives it a 0 ground clearance, at the sides it would be 5mm but is protected by a 3mm stainless steel skirt
Weapons:
The weapon is a rear pivoted lifting arm, this has two set-ups, plus a small extra mounted weapon for either. To get under the opponent it has a Bigger Brother style lifting plate that runs parallel to the ground resting upon it that gives the machine a really low ground clearance enabling it to get under most things, the front edge of the plate has been filed to a sharp edge.
Set-up 1: Hydraulics
Uses a single hydraulic lifting arm to life opponents of up to 150 kg into the air and tip over up to 400kg. Uses a 120mm bore ram with 40mm stroke and powered using a Vivoil pump
On top of the lifter is a hook mechanism that looks like a tiny claw but performs the same gripping effect as the top mounted behemoth axe. It is not particularly sharp, as it is not designed to cause damage, just to grip the opponent it is powered by a small linear actuator.
Set-up 2: Pneumatics
The second set up is a high-powered pneumatics set-up with a single canister of C02 running at 1000psi providing the power. The addition to this set-up is a small T-shaped bar powered by an actuator which pivots towards the back, enabling Achilles to self right without using up any gas.
Strengths: Very durable, no particular weaknesses for opponent to exploit.
Weaknesses: No damaging weapons.
How much power does the flipper produce?
Think an old Bigger Brother or Chaos 2 flip for kind of scale, but a tiny bit more vertically and less horizontally I suspect.

Hang on, Id like to take back Typhoon and replace it with Storm 2.
You cant. Storm 2 is taken.
And whats wrong with Typhoon?
I dont think he has anything against Typhoon, really. Its just that he wants Storm, but he cant since Martijn reserved Storm.
Hm... well, then Ill just replace it with another vapour....
Death Wish

I fail to see how you can fit a 21kg flywheel, a motorcycle motor, a claw, hydraulics, and 8mm titanium into a 150kg superheavyweight bot, let alone a 100kg heavyweight :P
Also, you didnt give any drive motors.
I edited my entry again.

This is the current entries list, with 2 extra spots, so sign-up quickly, before theyre filled up! :proud:
...can I be difficult and replace Panic Attack with Penetrator from series 2?
Im afraid not, as I have no idea who Penetrator is.
Never mind, thats okay...I just thought that given the history of real robots in fanfic, Penetrator had more of a chance :P
If Paul will allow it, Samuel, you should make Death Wish 110kg, as tracked robots should be allowed that weight. Look at all the tracked bots out there that weigh 110kg (Darkestar, Sheer Heart Attack 2, Super Gore Evo...)
And GIANT improvement, by the way. :proud:
Right, Ive decided that what I might do, just to fill up the final 2 spots is to enter 8 RW realies and 8 BB realies. If two extra people enter by the end of the day, then I wont do this.
Right, actually, I think Ill just do it now. Just to get this thing breathing again.

So post in tactics, predictions and a wheelbarrow :proud:
Cable
Weight: 150kg
Shape: Snakelike - 9 articulated separate segments are present, all of which are essentially a slightly compressed semi circular prism excepting the front ones. At the front the head is effectively a very flat cone going down to a flat sheet of 3mm titanium that runs parallel to the group (aka a big brother style spatula) which is sharpened at the far edge to give a maximum low ground clearance. I€™ll try and at least do an illustration before the fight.
Mobility and €˜Motors€™: The whole machine is moved in the middle 7 segments in a snakelike manner by using a sequence of 16 jumbo servos to provide horizontal movement and air muscles at 300 psi to provide vertical movement. Instead of me attempting to control the movements of every individual segment, they all move on a number of pre-programmed movement patterns housed in the electronics in the 5th segment. I can essentially vary these by directing where I want the head section to go as if it were a normal vapour and the computer works out where the rest of the parts need to go to achieve that.
Speed: 5mph
Turning circle: 0m in a manner of speaking but not in such a quick way as most vapours
Armour: 8mm of aluminium T2021, the base of the robot also has a 5mm textured polyurethane to give it some traction. The central control module of the robot also has an extra 3mm of titanium over the top to give it some extra protection for the control module.
Ground clearance: At the front, the flipper spatula essentially gives it a 0 ground , in theory the rest has a 0 ground clearance but it because sections lfit off the ground to move it varies considerably. In addition the 3rd, 5th and 7th segments have small suction pumps which allow the robot to clamp down to protect it to clamp down to give it some resistance against rammers and flippers. This doesn€™t mean it can€™t be flipped, but more that it€™s fiddly to do so. It can also be used to pivot the robot around faster.
Weapons: The front section of the robot has inside a bellows pneumatic ram (about 100mm diameter) and a tank of c02 at 1000 psi that push the head upwards as a flipper.
Furthermore in some instances due to the sloped sides it may be possible for Cable to wrap around the base of an opponent and lift them off the ground, however, this is unlikely to do any damage unless it is already and some to the point where I could know it off. In theory if there was a gaping hole in the opponent (presumable in a melee with a powerful machine or in the instance of a flipper with a big €˜bite€™) I could try and worm my way inside an opponent but it would really depend on context if I was likely to achieve much in the attempt.
Strengths: Difficult for opponent to control in a fight due to unusual design. Weapon can move around a lot more relative to the robot
Weaknesses: Long sides for movement mean it can be easy to attack. Not the fastest bot ever.
Now watch as Aaron tears it apart...
Pretty good draw, Paul. *hands over a very large wheelbarrow* Ignore the blood please, it belonged to one of my more bizarre friends...
Anyway. Tactics.
HEAT A
Kali (1) vs. Bulldog Breed vs. GABRIEL v1.25
If Alex feels like being merciful, care for a team up against the bulldog? We might be able to get him OOTA if we work together. *look of hopefulness*
HEAT B
Atomic (19) vs. NIDHOGG vs. Black Death
Avoid Black Death. I think I may be able to get round the side of Atomic, and then get the forks underneath and have a nibble, possibly feeding Atomic to Black Death if the circumstances permit. And of course, Im always open to teamings.
HEAT I
Achilles (16) vs. Crimson Thunder vs. FIRE AND ICE
Ill go for Crimson Thunder first, and try to get round the side or under it somehow and ram it into the walls or pit. I may use the saw on the wheels as well if the opportunity arises.
HEAT J
Sheer Heart Attack (30) vs. 147 vs. Ripper
Care for a team-up against Ripper, Martijn? :proud: I could get under and shove Ripper into the drum, if thats the case, or just go straight for the OOTA.
HEAT K
Quocunque Jeceris Stabit (28) vs. 13 BLACK vs. Pussycat
Spin up, and try and do a Fluffy on Pussycats blade or wheels.
HEAT L
MegaByte (10) vs. Spring-BOK! vs. PANIC ATTACK
Treat Megabyte as a mobile arena hazard - avoid and try and push Spring-BOK! into it if I get under.
HEAT N
Ramthrax 2 (6) vs. DARKE DESTROYER vs. Death Wish
Uhhhhh...avoid everything. Do a few laps of the arena, then if by some miracle Im still working, do the same in the opposite direction. Perform a few three-point turns and figure-8s if I have time.
HEAT P
Wedginator 6.0 (2) vs DREADNAUT XP1 vs. Suicidal Tendincies
Try and get the forks in Suicidal Tendencies tracks, and pit him if possible. If Kody wishes for a team-up, that could be arranged.
Kali (1) vs. Bulldog Breed vs. Gabriel V1.2
Sure I can team up, Im not feeling any especial dread from either of these two so just go against Bulldog.
Black Panther Queen (5) vs. Tough As Nails vs. Exertion
TAN seems the obvious opponent here, just flip it around loads under its nice clearance.
Psyclonised (9) vs. Shrederator vs. Cable
Just go for whomever coems for me first.
Clawdius Decimus Murderous (11) vs. Crash Bandi-Bot 3 vs. Robot The Bruce
Charge aimlessly in!
Achilles (16) vs. Crimson Thunder vs. Ice And Fire
Flip stuff.
Tengu VII (8) vs. Axe-O-Lotl vs. BioHazard
Spin into stuff, prossibly biohazard as it should be relativly easily damaged.
Ramthrax 2 (6) vs. Darke Destroyer vs. Death Wish
Ram stuff.
GeForce 4.0 (20) vs. Bodyhammer vs. Flipping Mad
Realistically I dont even know how I could lose this if I tried, lol
Wow, after looking down the list, I noticed that somehow, Super Gore Evo got the 29th seeding spot. :proud:
Anyway, predictions and tactics!
Heat 1
Kali (1) vs. Bulldog Breed vs. Gabriel V1.2
If Alex and Joey are teaming up on Bulldog Breed, then Id say Bulldog Breed will end the match on the camera track.
Terrorhurtz (17) vs. GoldDigger vs. Seung Mina III
How cool is this. Another first heat appearance, and with a completely cannon fodder bot besides my favourite, Terrorhurtz. :proud: Im hoping for a team up with Samuel and flip that useless Battlebot around the around the arena, he cant damage Minas hardox armour at all, not with that pathetic pick-axe, at least. :proud: Let THz hack it, its all good. :proud: Try for an OOTA at least twice. :proud:
Winner: I actually think Seung Mina could put up an excellent fight against Kali, but Ill go for Kali anyway. :proud:
Heat 2
Killotine: EVO (3) vs. Death Threat 2.0 vs. Merlin
Bye Merlin.
Atomic (19) vs. Nidhogg vs. Black Death
The seed to crash out.
Winner: Killy Evo
Heat 3
Black Panther Queen (5) vs. Tough As Nails vs. Exertion
Id say Tough As Nails to put ganged up on and shoved, flipped, axed, and sent down the pit.
Turbo Tails (21) vs. Intrigue vs. Paralyzation
Go for Paralyzations exposed tires. A decent thwack should rip them and I doubt the drum will do much damage to me. Preferably go for the sides and feed him to Turbo Tails rear spinning blade. Should be a treat to see. :proud:
Winner: Black Panther Queen :lame:
Heat 4
Wedge Devolution (7) vs. SOR X vs. Iron Awe 5
Oh wow. Im not sure. Iron Awe 5 is vastly improved, and it could probably give Wedge Devo a run for its money, but for now Ill say Iron Awe goes out on a JD.
Die-Ceratops ReInvertus (23) vs. Axe To Fall vs. FrenZy
FrenZy out.
Winner: No idea. :proud:
Heat 5
Psycloniser (9) vs. Shrederator vs. Cable
I would REALLY love to team up with Psycloniser here. Two spinners of our calibre should definitely be enough to take out Alexs snakebot. :proud: Just keep hitting cable around the parts where it doesnt have weapons. :proud:
With Or Without You (25) vs. Typhoon 2 vs. M2
With Or Without You out. Sorry, Martijn, but this bot dont work well in melees.
Winner: Psycloniser
Heat 6
Clawdius Decimus Murderous (11) vs. Crash Bandi-Bot 3 vs. Robot The Bruce
Robot The Bruce...out. :proud:
Back To Rock 3 (27) vs. Gravity vs. Tazbot
Tazbot out for sure.
Winner: Clawdius or Back to Rock.
Heat 7
Orka MK.4 (13) vs. Dantomkia vs. Sithis
Bye Dantomkia, see you later.
Super Gore Evo (29) vs. Hexadecimator vs. Chaos 2
Awesome. Both are realies, and neither have a chance in hell of getting under me. :proud: Assuming thats the Season 5 version of Hexy-D, Ill go for it, clamp down, shove down the pit, then after the match repeat with Chaos 2, just because I can. :proud:
Winner: I have a good chance here, but Orka looks to be a very strong contender.
Heat 8
Flick Of The Wrist (15) vs. Mega Hurtz L.T vs. Wheely Big Cheese
Whomever Flick wants to go after will die. :proud:
Cyclone Force 2.5 (31) vs. Turbulence vs. Cat With Wheels
I think Im screwed. :lame: Uh...go for Cat With Wheels, avoid Cyclone Force 2.5, prepare for death.
Winner: Flick or Cyclone Force
Heat 9
Achilles (16) vs. Crimson Thunder vs. Ice And Fire
Achilles through for sure...dunno who will join him...
Another Night At The Bar (32) vs. S3 vs. Tornado
Didnt Martijn already tell you that its ANOTHER Night at the Bar, and not A Night at the Bar 2, Paul? :proud: Anyway, hell go through, and Tornado possibly to join him.
Winner: Another Night at the Bar or Achilles.
Heat 10
Metal Sonic Spin Dash (14) vs. Firestorm 5 vs. Axes Of Evil
Firestorm, sadly, to bite the dust.
Sheer Heart Attack 2 (30) vs. 147 vs. Ripper
Ripper out.
Winner: Sheer Heart Attack 2
Heat 11
Big Nipper (12) vs. Dominator 2 vs. The Matador
I so badly want Dominator to die, and I hope Matador and Big Nipper kick its ass.
Quocunque Jeceris Stabit (28) vs. 13 Black vs. Pussycat
Howd QJS get seeded? But anyway, 13 Black to go out when flipped once.
Winner: Ill go for an outside bet on The Matador here. Truth to tell Im not a fan of Big Nipper and I always thought The Matador was underachieving.
Heat 12
MegaByte (10) vs. Spring-BOK! vs. Panic Attack
Whoever gets into MegaBytes path first will die.
Wild Thing (26) vs. M.O.E vs. The Final Cut
Not sure what The Final Cut will be like, so Ill play it safe and say Wild Thing to go out.
Winner: MegaByte, probably
Heat 13
Tengu VII (8) vs. Axe-O-Lotl vs. Biohazard
Biohazard has better armour than Axe-O-Lotl...bye Chris. :proud:
Wedga€™s Revenge (24) vs. Chalkie 3G vs. Walk Don€™t Run
Walk Dont Run out.
Winner: Tengu or Wedga.
Heat 14
Ramthrax 2 (6) vs. Darke Destroyer vs. Death Wish
Darke Destroyer to get rammed, and ultimately pitted.
Leprosy Infection (22) vs. Son Of Wedgie vs. Aftershock
What. An. AWESOME. Match-up. Two drums vs. a really ageing vapourbot. Team-up with Chris and tear that Wedge to shreds. Id love to see him try and flip me properly.
Winner: I like my chances in this heat as well, but Leprosy Infection and Ramthrax 2 arent too bad.
Heat 15
Storm II (4) vs. Killobite 5.0 vs. Humdrum
You know what? Im actually going to go for Storm II here. Get under him, and when I do, he will NEVER get off those lovely lifting forks. Clamp the beak down, and drag down the pit. It shouldnt be hard, as the likes of Envy, Tornado, and many others have gotten under Storm II before.
GeForce 4.0 (20) vs. Bodyhammer vs. Flipping Mad B2B
Haha, sorry Alex but Bodyhammer is going out. :proud:
Winner: GeForce, probably
Heat 16
Wedginator 6.0 (2) vs. Dreadnaut XP1 vs. Suicidal Tendincies
All riiiiiiiight. :proud: It feels good being the second seed, but not good enough! Sure, Joey, Ill team up. Flip Suicidal Tendencies and give him to Dreadnaut XP1.
Whirligig 4.0 (18) vs. Turbo Shedder vs. Squirmin Vermin
Whirligig through for damn sure, and Turbo Shredder should follow him through.
Winner: Agh...you know it aint good when I get put in a heat with Whirligig. :lame: Id say me and Steve to meet in the heat final, and Whirligig to send me packing.
Looks promising, Paul...just hope it doesnt turn into another HYPOTHETICAL.
So, here is the heat to start us off:
HEAT 1
Kali (1) vs. Bulldog Breed vs. Gabriel V1.2
Terrorhurtz (17) vs. GoldDigger vs. Seung Mina III
Send in tactics, predictions and a house :proud:
TACTICS:
As above.
PREDICTIONS:
Terrorhurtz vs. GoldDigger vs. Seung Mina III
GoldDigger to leave the arena, potentially by air and missing a few bits.
Winner: Ideally me, but Im being realistic so Ill say Kali to beat Seung Mina in the final, albeit by a JD.
HOUSE:
Ive got a caravan, will that do? :proud:
Already sent in tactics and predictions. :) Looking forward to this, but Id like to see if you can rival my latest long fights, or Mattys essays for that matter, Paul.
I still say fights dont have to be long to be good. Quality Quantity.
what happens to those who wish to enter updated versions of their vapours?
If you wish to enter undated models...do so, but it must be BEFORE their heats.
Gabriels technically at version 1.25, not 1.2...although the only change between the two is dimensions, so its not a major problem. Both are in the improvement thread.

By the way Kody, there is NO WAY my fights are going to be up there with the works of Steven or Martijn or Richard or Matty or Frank or you. Im on a learning curve at the moment, and that curve is going upwards, as is the quality of my fights - looking back, I now notice how bad my early fights really were :proud:. But if Samuel would like to post in his tactics for Terrorhurtz, then I get my ship floating!
