So, now you know the draw, tactics, thoughts, predictions?
Nice draw
Here are some quick predictions of heat winners:
Heat 1 - Hopefully I can win this one, but otherwise BPQ has a decent chance
Heat 2 - Psyclonised could carry on its winning streak but Die-Ceratops might be a dark horse for this heat, and Whirly is probably up there too
Heat 3 - This one probably goes to The Disc, with Killotine second favourite
Heat 4 - Disco 5 for this one I think
Heat 5 - Between either of the two seeds I would say
Heat 6 - Very open heat, but I€™ll take Tengu to win it
Heat 7 - Probably Typhoon 2 here€¦
Heat 8 - I€™ll go for Slammer for this heat but it will be close
Heat 9 - Quite possibly the heat of death? I guess I could have a chance here
Heat 10 - In a heat of all real robots, I€™ll take Razer to win
Heat 11 - Wedginator or Salamander
Heat 12 - I like my chances here, but otherwise Shovearound 2
Heat 13 - Wedge Devo could probably cruise this heat
Heat 14 - Tempest is probably favourite here with Star 69 as an outsider; I think SOR is getting too old to win this heat
Heat 15 - Either one of the seeds, probably CDM
Heat 16 - Achilles should be able to get through this
Nice draw overall, I think I might have a chance of winning a couple of heats as well. Good luck to everyone else, this looks like a great tournament! I€™ll get my more detailed tactics and predictions in as the tournament progresses.
Gravity: Calm Down Dear Its Only A Robot wanna team up? If you do then We should both try to flip Dantomkia down the pit.
Storm 2(4): Martyn Wanna team up? Ill slam Firestorm in the arena wall until the pit opens then Ill give him to you and you can lift and push him down the pit.
Tornado: Martijn wanna team up? Since I dont know what your weaponry is Ill presume its a flipper so Ill slam Disco all around the arena and you can toss him up and over which should in theory mean that Disco should run out of battery power if we keep tossing and slamming and Ill have the wedge setout for round one Matty.
Typhoon 2 (13): I cant enter any tactics because I dont know what weaponry they have.
X-terminator: Here Anthony wanna team up? It doesnt matter if you do because my only tactic here is to rip off Pussycats weapon with my disc then rip off its wheels.
Atomic: AJ wanna team up? If you do then my tactic will be to toss Star into SORs disc so in theory Star should fall to pieces.
WBC: Anthony wanna team up? If you do then I think we should play tennis with Cacodemon as the tennis ball and toss Cacodemon to each to each other.
1 question. Where is Terrorhurtz?
Tim, I did say at one point that your robots were ineligible, and that you needed to replace one of them. You didnt reply and so Grim Reaper is your extra realie.
DIE CERATOPS TACTICS
Can you say Gravitys first Round battle? Hydras going out.
ORKAS TACTICS
Proposing a team up with Steve-O on Malaria
LEPROSYS TACTICS
My aim is on Bulldog Breed. Chew up the flipper plate, ala X-Terminator, then bulldoze it around.
CRASH BANDIBOTS TACTICS
Call it crazy, but I think Ill go for Hypno-Disc. I should be low enough at the front to get underneath him. Then work it out from there.
SPRING-BOKS TACTICS
Chaos 2 is my quarry.
AXE-O-LOTLS TACTICS
I dont trust MSSD, so try to stay aside it, and attack Shadow Zone.
Theres reasons for the lack of tactics on WT and 13 Black. Do what you wish. Theyre not mine, in that definition, after all.
Grim Reaper: Ummm one word hide and if any robots try to attack me then flip for my flippin duties then if that doesnt crudgekins.
Ill eschew my normal tactic practices in favour of putting them in when the time arises.
What I cant believe is how I got a seeded No.4 bot anyway and a seeded no 13 bot as well.
stats from me tend to help
Name: Disco 6
Shape: Low box-wedge, with slightly sloping sides which will prevent the robot landing on its side.
Motivation: it uses four Vulcalon wheels (storm 2 like)
Speed: 14 Mph
Weight: 98kg
Height: 28cm
Length: 90cm
Width: 75cm
Weapon: On the front of wedge and up the top of the box, is a low-pressure pneumatic front-hinged flipper running on 10Bar (145psi) running into a single 80mm bore ram. This produces 509kg at the ram and is then transferred into the flipper with a leverage point ratio of 1:1. This should have no trouble flipping the heaviest robots. The flipper can easily selfright the robot.
On the back of the robot is a 500mm horizontal flywheel spinning at 3000rpm. It has a 4.00 second spin up time due to the C40-500 Magmotor on 36v with a 2:1 twin tension cog belt reduction. The flywheel produces 31.5Kj€™s at maximum RPM but is lethal at around 1 second.
Chassis: 4mm Grade 5 Titanium monocoque with extra 5mm Titanium ribs to give it more rigidity.
Drive: 2 x S28-400 Magmotors @ 36v with a 10:1 Mod 2 spur gear reduction
Batteries: 90 x 3000mAh NiCD cells producing 36v @ 9amp
Color- The main bit of the robot once again is blue, the disc is still yellow.
Clearance- Under the wedge it is 0mm, under the sides it is also 0mm due to the skirts but 5mm with out them. Under the rear there is 5mm under the disc it is 10mm.
Strengths: Powerful weapons, low ground clearance
Weaknesses: New design
Notes- New design after being trashed by spinners, hopefully can work as well as Disco 5 despite changing the disc from vertical to horizontal
NAME- The deer (was crusher chaos)
SHAPE- Invertible box
COLOR- the robot and claws are a dark green color
WEIGHT- 100kg
DIMENSIONS- 1m x 80cm x 25cm (l,w,h)
SPEED- 15mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- It has 6mm at the front due to the claws and has 0mm at the sides and rear due to the skirts, without skirts 6mm. The skirts also work both ways up.
ARMOUR- 3.6mm hardox
MOVEMENT- 4 inner wheels that make the robot invertible
POWER- 2 x S28 Magmotors on 24v.
WEAPONS- it has a front pair of horizontal hydraulic crushing claws set up like deers antlers (shaped like those you find in extreme destruction.) The claws have 3.5 tones of crushing force on the front tips of the claws at the middle is 6tones and right at the back it has 8 tones of crush. The claws are powered by hydraulics through a 120mm bore rams at 3000psi
NOTES- invertible, wide base means the deer wont topple while crushing
STRENGTHS- Very powerful weapon
WEAKNESSES- it could be turned into venison
Name- Panicking (previously panic 3 GTI 2)
SHAPE- Low invertible box
COLOUR- Yellow except for the lifting forks which are black
WEIGHT- 98kg
DIMENSIONS- 65cm x 60cm x 12cm (Length x Width x Height)
SPEED- 23mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0 mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0 mm at front due to forks, 0 mm at sides and rear due to skirts 5 mm with out, the skirts are hinged so flop over when the robot is flipped
ARMOUR- 15mm polycarbonate
MOVEMENT- panic now uses 6 Vulcalon wheels to give extra pushing power
POWER- 2 x LEM130€™s on 36 volts
WEAPONS- on the front the robot has a pair of invertible lifting forks, the forks are like those on panic attack, the forks are powered by 2 linear actuators
STRENGTHS- Low ground clearance, reliable weapon
WEAKNESSES- previously lost to spinners
NAME- Star 69
SHAPE- It€™s a shaped like a five point star but the points are mounted round a inner circle so the points of the star spin round
COLOR- yellow
WEIGHT- 100kg
SPEED- 19mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- about 9mm but is lower under the bottom teeth where it is about 3-4mm
ARMOUR- it has 4mm grade 5 titanium
MOVEMENT- it uses 6 inner storm 2 wheels
DRIVE- it uses 2 x lem 130€™s
BATTERIES- 4 x 30 cell 36volt 3ah Sanyo NiCad packs
WEAPONS- as I said it has an outer spinning ring so is a fbs the ring is powered by a C40-500 Magmotor, the points on the star each have sharpened teeth on them and it spins in a clockwise direction, each point has 3 teeth on it, one on the bottom for tearing at skirts in wheels, one in the middle for body work and that, and one at the top for aerials and tall robots and also used for bottom teeth when flipped
SRIMECH- Invertible, points and blades stop it from sticking on side
NOTES- according to frank the name is rude, first star shaped robot
STRENGTHS- Powerful weapon and drive
WEAKNESSES- nights with no stars
NAME- Super Speed Bumps Baby
SHAPE- double wedge shape with triangle sides (I have a picture if you want)
COLOR- Red
WEIGHT- about 100kg
DIMENSIONS- 127cm X 60cm X 43cm
SPEED- 12mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0m
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0mm at front and back due to wedges 8mm at sides without skirts but its 0mm due to the skirts
ARMOUR- 5mm hardox
WHEELS- the robot runs on two sets of metal tracks
POWER- 2 x S28 Magmotors on 24v.
WEAPONS- it has 2 chaos 2 style flippers one on each wedge, it is powered by co2
SRIMECH- it can self right with either flipper has slightly slopping sides to stop the robot resting there.
STRENGTHS- has powerful weapons
WEAKNESSES- flipper won€™t last forever, people who don€™t like tracked robots
Can i replace Cleopatra with Rammy please as I cant get a realistic version for cleopatra
NAME- Rammy Mk 3
SHAPE- Invertible box with front hinged wedge
COLOUR- Blue
WEIGHT- 94kg
SPEED- 20mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
GROUND CLEARANCE- 0mm at the front due to wedge this is both ways, 0mm at sides and rear due to skirts 8mm without, the skirts can be taken off if they aren€™t needed for the fight
ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox
MOVEMENT- it has 6 inner vulcalon wheels
POWER- it uses 2 x lem 130€™s
WEAPONS- The front wedge can lift up and down powered by a linear actuator, this is only used if the opponent is winning to help get aggression points from the judges. The wedge is hinged so works both ways up however the lifter isn€™t as affective when the robot is flipped though it still works
SRIMECH- Invertible
STRENGTHS- Compact in size, great pushing power
WEAKNESSES- Comparatively Light
Timmy, your bots, being real bots, have been entered in previous versions of this tournament, and they did well, thats why theyre seeds ^^
Tactics and predictions!

Heat 3
The Disc 5 (5) V Super Gore TD V Back to Rock 2
Eep. :P I can just tell Im going to get teamed up on here. And if thats the case, then Ill attack The Disc. Go straight for his weapon. Hopefully my larger disc should do some sort of damage to his. Avoid Back to Rock if possible. If not, charge him with the rear wedge.

Malaria is really an underestimated bot here. I think Orka is the one to go out here.
Heat winner: Killotine Evo
Heat 4
Barberous 2 n€™ a bit (7) V The Epidemic V Disco 5
If Martyn wants, we can team up. Whether or no, just smash Barberous wheels. An attack on the spinning drum doesnt sound too bad either considering what Hypno-Disc did to him, and that Epidemic is a more-powerful FBS.

Heart of Fire to go out.
Heat winner: Uh...pass.
Heat 9
Forcepower (16) V Archangel of the Abyss V Ivy II
Oh boy, this isnt going to be pretty. Team up with ForcePower, if Andy wants. Whether or no, attack ArchAngel off the bat with the spinning bar and then shove him against a wall and axe him to death.
Son of Wedgie (32) V Grim Reaper V Turbo Tails
Grim Reaper, goodbye.
Heat winner: ForcePower or Son of Wedgie
Heat 10

All realie heat, eh Matt? :proud: Dominator 2 to go out, remembering what happened in Series 4.
Heat winner: Razer
Heat 11
Wedginator 5.0 (12) V A Large Red Bus Drove My Love Away V Salamander
OHHHH YEAH! Wedginator is a seed. :proud: Haha. Anyway, attack the bus and avoid Salamander. Or team up, if Alex wants. Just keep shoving Dave against the wall. Flip a few times for good measure.
Spawn Again (28) V Cacodemon V Wheely Big Cheese
Seed out.
Heat winner: Me or Salamander.
Heat 12

Heat winner: Wedge Devo.
Heat 14
Tempest Evil-er-Oution (6) V Cosmic Thunder 2 V Macduff the 2nd
YES. Rammer vs. FBS. Ill be using the normal set-up here. Ram Tempest to hell. He shouldnt be too much of a problem, thanks to my thick armour. Cosmic Thunder? Dont care too much about him at the moment. Just attack Tempest completely.
SoR (22) V Star 69 V Atomic
Atomic out.
Heat winner: Me, SoR, or Cosmic Thunder.
Heat 15
Storm 2 (4) V Firestorm V Panicking
Ooh. Panickings chances dont look too good in this fight...Panicking out.

Heat winner: Achilles. I aint beating that thing. :proud:
This is going to be so awesome. Cant wait! :)
yeah, tactics...
Wedga Revo (1) V A Night At The Bar V Raging Knightmare
Raging Knightmare wants to team up on the champ, and oddly I aint stopping him, just be my destructive self in this match really
You know I only entered this because Matt asked me to fill up the numbers.
Therefore my tactics are to attack, attack & attack.
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the first 2 fights of what is the Fowler Fic War series 4. it all started over 3 years ago now, and since then we€™ve had 1 completed tournament, 1 cancelled tournament and 2 hypothetical tournaments, and it€™s all come down to this.
Let€™s meet the robots that are going to be taking part in this, the first battle.
Please meet, the bnumber 1 seedb, with 60 points on the Fowler Performance Index€¦ Wedga€™s Revenge!!!!!
Well, the reigning champion€™s undergone a fair amount of change since the last series, changing the shape, the design of the weapon, and almost everything about him. Taking on more of a Steg 2 appearance, his weapon has change from an all out flipper, to a flipping arm, mounted inside the natural wedge and scoop shape of the machine. The wheels are well designed to be both lightweight and grip the surface, while the drive train is impressive, making for a neat package. The armour is reasonable, and the ground clearance is low, meaning that chances to beat the machine outright will be few and far between. Weaknesses? I dunno, I€™m sure we€™ll find them out somewhere along the line though :)
In FFW1 - Did Not Enter
In FFW2 - Got through the gauntlet and sumo rounds to book its place in round 2, where it beat The Big Push on a judges decision. In his heat final he cam up against the number 23 seed for this series, Dantomkia, flipping them out of the arena. Fought his way through the annihilator to come a respectable 3rd, but not enough to book them a place in the heat final. FPI points - 10. FPI calculator - 5
In FFW3 - Beat Bloody Tears, RotRotB, and Flick of The Wrist to book his place in his second consecutive series semi-final. Impressed in the semi-finals with 2 easy victories, first over Bigger Brother, and then over Agro 3.5, to book their place in the grand final. Beat Manic Monsoon on a judges decision to get into the final 2, before an excellent display against the unfancied star of the tournament, Whirligig 4.0 got them into the FFW winners list. FPI points - 50. FPI calculator - 50
Next into the arena, with my usual really long intros is, and with 1 point on the Fowler Performance Index€¦. A Night At The Bar!!!!!
A slightly bizarre axlebot, Martijn€™s creation is essentially a true exponent of the old adage, attack is the best form of defence. A cylinder on wheels, the main weapon is a spinning bar going underneath the cylinder. This does make out for explosions though when the robot is toppled however, so watch out for that. Flippers should have no luck with this robot though, as the centre of gravity allows an amazing srimech revolving around the machines centre of gravity. The armour is tough should it come into play, however the bar is not devastating, so armour as tough as it€™s own could halt him dead.
In FFW1 - Did Not Enter
In FFW2 - Did Not Enter
In FFW 3 - Disappointed fans and pundits alike with its first round display, crashing out at the first hurdle to Tough As Nails, who dominated him for the entire fight before pitting him late on. FPI Points - 1. FPI Calculator - 1
And finally into the arena, with just 1 point on the Fowler Performance Index€¦ Raging Knightmare
The first realies to appear in series 7, but to be blunt, not the one with the best chance by any stretch of the imagination. A powerful flipper, which acts as a srimech as well, means that flippers don€™t phase him, however his armour is not the strongest, and this has been shown by various machines over the years. His speed is good, as is his manouvreability, meaning that mounting the attacks should be a sinch, but he doesn€™t have the drive train to compare with many of the robots in this war. Could Raging Knightmare€™s dreams come true or be put into a permanent sleep?
In FFW1 - Did Not Enter
In FFW2 - Did Not Enter
In FFW3 - Was another first round departure, however was expected to lose, being totally and utterly obliterated by Tengu.
Let€™s head down to the Circle of Doom for the first fight of the series.

Activate!
And we€™re off! A Night At The Bar starts by ambling across the arena and getting his bar up to speed, while Wedga€™s Revenge heads across the arena towards Raging Knightmare. Just as he€™s about to mount the first genuine attack of the fight, he€™s beaten to it however, as A Night At The Bar slams into his side skirt, sending up sparks but nothing more, as Wedga€™s Revenge escapes seemingly unscathed. Raging Knightmare tries to use the distraction to mount an attack on the side of Wedga€™s Revenge but realises he can€™t get underneath the ultra low ground clearance of Wedga€™s Revenge and concedes defeat.
A Night At The Bar goes at Wedga€™s Revenge again, this time hitting the front scoop, again more sparks and possibly a minute scratch, but AJ and his machine appear unimpressed by the fight being put up by his 2 opponents so far. He goes after A Night At The Bar, and fires the flipper, but Martijn€™s machine just teeters away, wobbling as it goes, trying to regain it€™s balance. Wedga€™s Revenge decides to go after Raging Knightmare instead, but can€™t get underneath him before he runs away, so backs off and decides to spend the time regaining his composure.
A Night At The Bar seems a little fed up with his unsuccessful attacks on Wedga€™s Revenge and so gets a sneaky attack on the side of the running Raging Knightmare. It merely clips him with the edge of the bar, but it shows how weak the UKRW7 semi-finalists armour is, perforating the side, and leaving a long slice in his side panel.
Wedga€™s Revenge uses this attack to mount his own, and advances on Raging Knightmare to try and mount an attack, while the realie appears disillusioned. He manages to slide underneath him for the first time in the match, and fires the flipper straight away, putting him straight onto his back. Raging Knightmare runs away on his inverted wheels for a brief moment just to escape, before firing his flipper and performing a neat dive onto his wheels.
Raging Knightmare knows he has to try and force one of his opponents into a mistake, and so, even though he knows it€™s 99.9% futile, charges again at the side of Wedga€™s Revenge trying to force a mistake. A Night At The Bar catches on, and attacks from the other side at the same time, but even with a flipper and a bar attacking him, still drives off nonchalantly, and completely steady.
Raging Knightmare appears infuriated and goes after A Night At The Bar, hoping for a better chance of success against him. This immediately backfires though, as flipper meets bar, and the bar is bent upwards on one side by the force, greatly reducing the area of the flipper that Raging Knightmare can keep on the floor. Raging Knightmare isn€™t about to give up though, and tries to manouvre to get himself under the wheel. He succeeds, and fires the flipper, and for the first time gets the axlebot over.
This all happens, just as the spikes descend around the pit to loud battle cries, but it gives A Night At The Bar a chance to show of it€™s highly technical self-righting mechanism. While Wedga€™s Revenge goes after Raging Knightmare, A Night At The Bar stops the weapon, which retracts to under the cylinder, the weight then rolls him slowly forwards, the bar comes out, and starts spinning once more. The Crowd are delighted by this display and hope to see it again at some point.
Wedga€™s Revenge however, has succeeded in his pursuit of Raging Knightmare, and has charged at him head on, and slammed him into one of the buzzsaws at the side. It€™s not done any real damage, but it€™s stunned him momentarily, and allowed Wedga€™s Revenge to flip him into the dome shaped roof. He lands on his roof, and repeats the same manouvre as earlier, running off, before firing his flipper and allowing himself a quick and elegant escape.
AJ chases after Martijn€™s machine instead, determined to score some points in the judges€™ eyes. He runs at A Night At The Bar, and tries to slide the scoop under the wheels, but he topples off and rolls down the side of Wedga€™s Revenge. It€™s the first noticeable damage cause to AJ€™s machine tonight though, as the bar catches the side on the way down, and buckles the hinge holding the skirt.
AJ is scathing that his precious machine has been damaged though, and charges after Martijn€™s machine in search of revenge. This time he gets fully under the bar, and flips. Sparks fly as bar meets scoop, but Martijn€™s machine is rolled over, and his self-righting process repeats itself again, all as graceful as it was before. Raging Knightmare has become somewhat of an afterthought, as all this has been happening and immediately re-emerges himself into the fight, flying towards Wedga€™s Revenge.
He looks to mount a serious attack, but once again, flies at the side of AJ€™s machine only to realise that there is no way of him getting under the skirt, which has proved his nemesis throughout the course of this fight. He does manage to push him away briefly though, before Wedga€™s Revenge merely drives forward and accelerates across the arena, looking to consume himself with more worthy opponents.
A Night At The Bar seems to be the very definition of such a worthier opponent and he immediately pursues him across the arena, to find him traveling dangerously close to the pit. He moves away however, and ends up back towards the side of the dome, where most of the action has taken place. He€™s just about to try another flip when Raging Knightmare flies in from nowhere, knocking him off course. This does however, leave him exposed to an attack from A Night At The Bar, who comes into play with the bar and tears another slice into the side, to accompany the one given to him earlier. As it turns out, this is the last play of the match however, and the klaxon sounds, taking it to a judges decision.

Those are my preditions:mrgreen:
Super Gore TD to remove The Discs wheels
:proud:!!! That will never happen. As good as my flywheel is, The Discs hubs will get in the way. And they are TOUGH.
As for the bump, its Mattys tourney, and he can update it when he wants to. Not that we dont want him to (PLEASE Matty!) but its his decision.
It could happen Kody:lame:. Actually, you might wish to gang-up on The Disc, because its so wide. Then you can Back To Rock could pit it:new:
I honestly dont see what being wide has to do with ganging up. The safely attackable area is the same, regardless of how many robots are attacking it
I will update it, but Im in 2 plays, have work and a hectic social life ATM. I gotta be honest this aint my priority but I aint forgotten about it.
Frank, being too wide means that The Disc isnt very controllable, so that is why Im saying that:angry:
But lets face it none of your predictions are gonna be spot on not unless if your share the same brainlengths as him then its gonna be spooky. FYI being too wide does mean its not controllable but Franks not gonna go reversing into Kodys weapons now is he, I mean hes not thick ya know.
Yeah I know, control has always been Discs biggest weak spot. Any strategies to exploit that are just as easy with one robot as with two, which is why I fail to see what that has to do with teaming up.
