Good episode, not quite up-to the same standard of the previous episodes this series
I am not allowed to watch that since my IP is not UK.
Have you tried faking your IP address so that it appears to come from the UK?
This is the 1st time that Ive ever watched it so cant tell good from bad however I got the distinct notion that the experts were steering the teams into what to design/build as if they had prior knowledge of the challenge and had already colaborated and come up with 2 ideas to take forward
How do you suppose I do that then David?
@Karoline, I am sure that is the case, in all scrapheap challenges Ive seen the 2 engineers always happen to have 2 very different ideas.
But I am convinced that if they are the experts they would more than likely to come up with more similar solutions based on experience.
ah well....thats showbiz  - anyway yes..got it straight from the horses mouth so to speak
NEW SCRAPHEAP ON NOW!!!!!
Missed it :( and it's not on 4od yet.
Double :(
Been watching Scurrap-eep' since I was 3, was my favourite program for YEARS, and is still in top 5
Make most of it - C4 has not commissioned another series although I hear on the grapevine that something new is in the pipeline
anyone know where i can watch that last episode?

There's the chariots episode of the new series.
And a very good show it was too.
Mike.
I've only just got round to watching the first episode of the new series. I wasn't too sure of the rejigged format at first to be honest; a distinct lack of scrapheapness considering the show title and it was weird without Bobby Llew and Lisa Rogers but once I'd gotten into it a bit I started enjoying it and watching the challenges at the end was good fun, particularly when Dick was trying to catch-up to his chariot after falling off (please Dick please, trim that moustache....even just a little )
The fact that the teams have got four weeks to build their creations compared to the 10-hour setup seems to have a noticably positive effect on competing in the tasks at the end; mostly the fact that all the machines worked well, barring a couple of bumpy-ground-induced injuries, whereas with the old format there was always a chance (especially with the water challenges) that the machines would work nothing like expected.
Missed tonight's one so I'll catch that on 4OD again but it looks like it should be good.
Mike's Scrapheap chariot episode is on and he Gary and Si are notably not in it even though you can see them in the background although they won the episode when first shown - they have been completely cut out!!!!!!
The episode is a nearer work of fiction as you can get on TV
But there again..... was the 1st showing a work of fiction???
I stand corrected having now watched the beginning - 2 episodes done on the same day :uhoh:
Wotty, John and Mike on NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can anyone remember an episode where they had to build giant remote control cars and fight them? its from around 2002 i think
I believe it was a blue van and an orange estate or something. It was the... Oh God, names. Nosher? He was the captain of one team, and the Catalysts or however they spelled it.
I may be totally wrong, mind. :)
they were rubbish compared to the Top Gear ones tho.
