Gears in the two speed first stage are steel.
instead of posting them woody could you bring them to leister? well if your going that is:)
alex
Woody , would you be able to provide pics of the drills ?
Pics I can provide .....Ill get some up later.
I doubt Ill attend at Leicester ...I havent currently got a finished feather.
In fact attending any events is difficult due to my personnel circumstances... so postage is the best option if you want a guaranteed delivery.
Ive uploaded a pic on my profile.
Email me if you want a higher resolution.
woody, how do you want payment for the drills? cheque? paypal? bank transfer?
Paypal will be fine.

magic, you should have the cash by Tuesday at the latest
can we sort out these drills woody? how would you like to be paid? as above or other? and im guessing youll send them once payment recieved?
cheers alex
Paypal is fine .. £18.50 for two motors with chucks p&p included...£17.50 without chucks.
NOTE:- The motor is a twist/clip fit into the gearbox.

i sorry im not familar with the note you added woody, could you explain it please?
i would prefer the drills without the chucks, pointless buying thenm if i wont use them:)
thanks alex
The motors DO NOT screw directly to the gearbox .....they are instead screwed to a seperate adaptor plate that attaches to the gearbox via a clip arrangement ....( similar to a light bulb type thing )...push ...twist ....and the motor adaptor clips into two opposing indents in the gearbox housing.
i have transferred £17.50 to your paypal, can you tell me when you have recieved it and when you have sent them?
nice doing business
alex
Posted the parcel first class 12 noon today.
thanks woody, ill post when they arrive
alex
recieved them today woody, but there are two clips on each motor which holds the plastic bit to the motr itself, on each motor one clip has snapped off presume in transit
just wondering whats the best way to rectify the problem?
cheers alex
super glue?
thinking along thoughs lines but just wanted others advice
i would forget about the clips. If they break in transit (like mine did too) then there is little chance of them surviving in the arena.
You have two options.
1) Use the drill mounts that support both the motor and gearbox.
2) Make a bracket that has a plate between where the motor joins its plastic plate and another at the front of the gearbox and attach the two using some screwed thread or long bolts.
i think ill use the mounts to suport it, might have a go at making some of my own
thanks alex
Got a few quid going spare?

nice for an original, but bet someone could build a better replica and would work better, for alot cheaper.
true but thats like building a spitfire from new materials. It doesnt have the same charm that owning an original does.
I agree with Gary there. But 100k usd is a lot.
