Hi guys
I was wondering if anyone can give me a lift from the Wigan train station to the venue, as I dont fancy walking the 1.3 mile to the venue. Also, do we have any info on local transprt because I need to leave before the last show ends due to the last train home being at 19:01
So can anyone help ?
query about the e-mail, jonno mentioned no hairdryers whats meant by this?

what about cooling batteries?
I dont think cooling batteries with hot air would work very well, but you can use a fan.
Part of the problem is that heaters use alot of electric and the supply can be limited at some venues, and frequent power cuts have been known.
i mean i got one with a cool setting on

A big screw in the truck tyre meant we couldnt leave on time, so this is me just walking out of my door ( 11:57pm ) on our way to wigan.!!!
The 2pm show has now sold out, and the 5pm is closely behind it so its going to be another busy one !!!

Its the first robot combat event Ive been to an I loved it :D
Saw the fruit machines there,that house robot is REALLY powerfull.The arena actualy moved when it hit the walls.
Dissapointing display from Dantomkia tho,it was immobile from the start and was pushed around until everyone else decided to jump in the pit :P
Yes,an immobile robot won.
And to top it all off,i left with a Chaos 2 pulback and a bit of the arena ^^

Not this one - its over 275 miles one way - too far to go there and back for 1 day plus Im struck down with the flu :sad:

Good event, nice to see all those people weve not seen for a while, and the new faces too.
I think that house robot needs to learn some manners though!
I was in the first event (the 2pm one).We where waiting for Venom to crush someone but it just held them. We guessed it was so the robots still worked in the next show tho. Still,it was a great show :)
I think that house robot needs to learn some manners though! No the house robot is well trained by me, manners and also very polite and house trained, its just Jonno corrupts it when he has the controls, so Jonnos fault. LOL!!
Mr HellsPlummer, should have made yourself known. Did you get a tour of the pits or anything? I know the crew were busy giving tours of the pits if you got one great, if not, should made yaself known to me an would of given you one.
As for Venom, theres alot of Hardox Armoured Robots around now, which even the likes of Razer and Kan-Opener struggle to get through.
Sorry that some of the effects were not up and working in time, try and come to Magna on 17th mr HellsPlummer, you wont be dissapointed. :)
Great show, tired weekend for the crew as jonno said about the truck, also getting to bed at 3:30am then up at 7am then full day working, we deserved our early night and late night take away delivered to the Holiday Inn sat night, and a sort of lie in Sunday Morning. LOL.
Anyway, great to see Shane back with a robot... great to see the crowds are still being pulled into our shows at new venues, think we cracked the advertising now... so all should look good for future shows... And Magna should be a great event. hope to see you all there...

Well they were giving tours to the raffle winners and for some school i was told. No you dont know me in person, but you prob saw some lad in red T-Shirt with Yellow writing on back saying CREW standing by a Laptop doing the effects, and always going into the arena to the pit and so on. LOL. Also the lad that runs away when Angela goes Lets ask the Judge Mr Stu.....
If you come to another one of our events, go to our stall and ask for Me and we can get your a tour of the pits mate. Wigan and magna not too far from each other, try come to that :)

I cant remember them asking the judge tho,I think it was based on how many people cheered for each robot,but you must know :P

sorry we left early, but family event to be at, and having broken edgehog (properly for the first time) we saw no point in hanging around.
Looking forward to Magna, but we havent decided if we should repair edgehog or upgrade??? Prob just repair as we use a play axehead now anyway.

That was a fun event, and its great to be back. I especially liked being flipped out of the pit by DTK :)
Major major apology to everyone, we did intend to be there this weekend however............ something came up, around 3am and again 20 mins later and so on for about 12 hours. We packed the car ready to come but by the time id finished emptying my stomach we had missed th start of the first show. So im sorry we werent there and jus when weve fixed tanto :sad:

Again, another sell out, for the 2007 tour, things are on the up, and hopefully it will continue. Magna tickets are already doing very well.
It was nice to see some new faces to the events, and I also learned that their are at least two new heavyweights being built in the wigan area which we will be seeing at RR events soon.
A big thanks to the roboteers who worked together to put on the 2 great shows, i know the feed back from the audience was first class.
Looking forward to going back their next year.
