just out of curiousity Aaron, seeing it wasnt asked in the stats, you do know that both my bots weapons (the lifter for Back 2 Rock 2 and the axe for Axe to Fall) also act as a srimech?:proud:

Hopefully my armor can stand up to his blade, to be able to take at least one hit before my front tiny lifter can lift him up a bit so I can pit.
Back 2 Rock VS Dennis The Menace
Slightly confident about this fight, as the drum spins up very quickly, and even at its slowest spinning speed, it should cause some damage to the armouring.
My main tactic is to rip the skirts off the sides of B2R and then use the ground clearance underneath these to get underneath my opponent and pit it, whilst causing damage to the underbelly and hopefully causing internal damage at the same time.
Seggy 4.2........VS....Tengu Advance
So we meet again mr Tengu, this time I will be mainly be using the passive wedge to box-rush mr Tengu, and once underneath, push it down the pit.
No skirts for this battle.
Err....spin, and drive away as fast as my little wheels can carry me, then some drivign round the sides for some gashes. errr...dunno aim for heavy impacts and hopefully I might be able to break something internally
I have learnt from last time you see with a box, the vibrations when hit shake things loose inside, hence why I have stuck on a layer of rubber to absorb impacts.
Wolf Vs The Windmill, I wait to use my flipper, I will put the extra sheet of metal on the front of the flipper. If hes far up the flipper, then I will fire it, but hes not really on it, then I wont fire it. If I do fire the flipper, hes OOTA! But I will be agressive, I wont start the fight, but I will end it. Im adding 2mm more of titanium to the sides and back of the robot.
Wolf V Flipping Hell
Get under him straight away and flip him far enough away. Im faster than him, and more nippy too. I will hopefully get him against the wall, and Firestorm flip him OOTA. But I will also open the pit straight away too. Hopefully flip him into the pit or flip him into the CPZ end

Thanks for basing off my entire strategy! Oh, by the way, adding those sheets on to the sides would automatically make it overweight and could not and should not be allowed. Unless you get rid of something. Also, lets not forget the fact that you said that you dont get OOTAs all the time yourself so if you do fire the flipper I probably wont be OOTA! As well as the fact that you have 0mm ground clearence on normal nonhinged wedges at both your front and back, how do you plan on moving again? Lets not forget as well that if I go up your wedge, my blade will certainly hit your wedge, tossing my away before you can flip.

Dont get mad at me. Ok, fine, not OOTA, but far enough away from me. My wedges are partly hinged.
For Wolf V Flipping Hell. Its not how pwoerful your flipper is, its how you use it.
Wolf isnt fighting Flipping Hell. Firefly is. Pay attention to the draw. Besides, you cant enter the same robot twice...
A lot of assumptions are floating around.....
Who says there is even a wall to flip your opponent over.....
Who says there is even a pit to push your opponent down.....
MWhahahahahahaa *insert plot hole here*
But who says there ISNT, Aaron? :P
*Gets even larger plot hole out of pocket and covers Aarons & Franks plot holes up*
The first two battles will be up tommorow evening.
Well, if there isnt a pit, then just hammer away with Malaria. Try to bend and possibly break Noveastorm 2s bar and totally own it.
Wait, for my Wolf V Windmill, since I have a front flipper I should be fine, because he cant get at my electronics. Just flip him over and over and over. Hopefully Firestorm flip him OOTA. Just be nippy around the arena.
Firefly V Flipping Hell
Get under him straight away and flip him far enough away. Im faster than him, and more nippy too. I will hopefully get him against the wall, and him OOTA. But I will also open the pit straight away too. Hopefully flip him into the pit or flip him into the CPZ end
Oh its a front hinged flipper? Well then, when he tries to get under my front and flip, thats going to send that flipper plate right into my disc... Think of how Disco-Inferno won the second Annihilator...
Arrgghh. I tried to get the battles up last night, but Im still yet to finish the second one. this one was out of my hands unfortunately. Should be up a little later.
Back 2 Rock (B2R) VS Dennis the Menace (DM)
Three
Two
One
Fight!
DM instantly the chainsaws roar to life, the sound comparable to a light aircraft taking off. B2R driving straight at the drumbot, hoping to stall it ASAP! DM darts around the arena till the drum is fully up to its maximum speed before turning to face B2R and driving face first into the front blade!
A colossal noise is generated as both collide. The front lifter on B2R is bent in places beyond comprehension. DM on the other hand, went end over end on the impact, landing right way up after its aerobatic summersault, which the Olympic committee rated 8.5! The drum spins up against as B2R comes in on a hell bent assault. Ramming its mangled front end into the drum.
Again both robots depart in different directions. B2R recovers quicker and goes after DM who is spinning its drum up again. B2R rams into DM as DM turns to face it. The gyro forces pick one side of DM up into the air, letting B2R straight under it! B2R now in control shoves DM into the wall drum first! Tearing a big hole out of the wall!
DM goes flying off the front of B2R and bounces across the arena. DM starts to spin up, but the 4mm wall of the drum has caved in during the impact, causing the drum to violently vibrate. B2R comes in and catches the momentarily stunned drumbot and gives it another introduction to the wall. But B2R isn€™t finished with DM yet, it spins around and pushes DM sideways across the arena towards the gap in the wall that DM created! B2R wedges DM into the gap, but DM won€™t fit through! B2R reverse back and rams DM again, causing it to bounce up a bit and wedge into the damaged wall, lifting DM€™s drive completely off the ground!
DM is slowly counted out after 15 seconds of not moving€¦€¦..
Back 2 Rock goes through!
Bloody Tears 2 VS Axe to Fall
Three
Two
One
Fight!
Both robots rush out of their starting squares, each looking to get the start on the other. Bloody Tears 2 (BT2 herein) starts strafing sideways to hopefully use it€™s maneuverability as an advantage. Axe to Fall (ATF herein) darts in and tries to go in from the side, but rushes into thin air as BT2 dodges to the side, firing the punching rack, pushing both robots away from each other.
ATF speeds off for another attack, fainting at the last moment to fool BT2 into which direction it was traveling. ATF fires the axe down and just managed to hit the side skirt on BT2, damaging the skirt. BT2 strafes side ways, shifting the skirt out the road of another devastation axe blow from ATF, which dints the floor before retracting and going off into another aggressive attack. ATF charges into BT2 before the omni-bot can dance sideway and pushes it into the arena wall and then into the north eastern corner of the arena.
BT2 spins to try to lever its way past ATF, but exposes the damaged skirt to yet another brute hammering! This time the skirt comes right off, allowing ATF to ram under BT2, pinning it against the wall. ATF fires the axe repeatedly, pounding into the top layer of Hardox, to no avail. ATF brings the axe down one last time and grapples BT2, stopping it from coming off the wedge!
ATF pushes the not so omni-directional BT2 towards the arena push out zone and lifting the axe at the very last minute, allowing BT2 to fall out the arena.
Axe to Fall advances up the score board.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!
yknow, those two fight are my FIRST two vapourbot fights since I came back ere at the start of PTT 5
so so far, my vapourbot battle record is two won, zero lost :proud:
nice battles so far Aaron
FIGHT 1
Wedga REVO VS WEDGE DEVOLUTION
A toughie and no doubt, but theres still a bit of hope. I have a feeling Im the more manoueverable with 4 wheels to 6 and slightly better speed, so the idea is to outtwirl Wedga REVO and try to get the spatula under the corners of the skirting for a better chance of getting under. Flip, repeat, then try to dispose of with either Pit, OOTA etc.
Heres hoping for a repeat of our VFT clash. :S
What about the battles?
Thanks for the bump Kev. A little side tracked at the moment. Have been busy working on my car(89 Nissan S13 Silvia Q), replacing an engine mount and some intake manifold hoses and soon a tappet cover gasket :proud:
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b212/teamvertex/midnight/Silvia2.jpghttp://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ht/Silvia2.jpg
Ive not forgotten about this, Im just side tracked. Schedule should be returned by the 5th October...
So Im guessing you forgeting about this one?
I know youre fairly new here Kevin, so might not know tournaments tend to proceed very slow around here :proud:
Im not giving up on this yet. Ive just been fairly busy these past few days. Fanfic is a hobby and unfortunately gets placed behind things that need done in my personal life first (ie: Study and work)
Ive managed to fall even further behind...
But I have a solution. Im looking at post-poning this tournament till the 1st of December. By then Ill have finished my studies for the year, will have finished working part time for my folks and will have my car back on the road. leaving at least 3-4 hours a day to myself! Im going to slowly write a bit here and there between now and December, so hopefully when I re-open the tourney in December, Ill have a small collection of battles ready for your enjoyment/torture...
Until then, Im just gonna have to appologise about the delays due to my current status of being so god damned busy... *OT: I havent made it to a local featherweight event in last 2 months, so its not just fanfic Im being kept away form *
Id like to also thank all the people who have entered and supported this tournament, especial when they know my previous track record with keeping up with these :proud:
Ill expect to see you all in bright and early in December!
Im not complaining, 2 battles written, 2 battles won :proud:
Mmmmm.....
6 Days.....
If someone can make the universe in 6 days... Im sure I can get this tourny back into the spotlight in the same amount of time :proud:
Cya all in 6 days....
*Goes off to plan on how to make an explosive re-opening*
Enterprise VS Flipping Hell
Three
Two
One
Fight!
Flipping Hell (FH herein) and Enterprise (EN herein) explode out of their respective starting squares, each trying to find the spot to get under each other. EN makes the first move, darting in from the front left corner of FH, Dave swings the front flipper around with the razer like handling to face EN. Kevin panics and fires the flipper too early and flips himself onto his back as FH rams under neither it and fires the flipper!
EN goes end over end, bouncing off the arena wall and lands upside-down, Kevin fires the flipper to self-right and rejoins the fray as FH comes running in for another punch. EN dodges FH€™s attack and glances under the side of FH, firing the flipper at the same time, launching FH into a 360 flip. FH bounces into the arena floor, wheels first and instantly snaps back into action.
Both EN and FH dance around each other, trying to get the other to make a mistake. Finally EN slips up and lets the corner of his skirts trail in front of FH€™s flipper, who rams into the corner and goes straight under! Dave wastes no time and starts pushing EN towards the arena pushout zone. Just as FH reaches the edge, Dave fires the flipper, launching EN out of the arena and into the outer polycarb viewing panel. EN bounces back off the polycarb and falls down, outside the arena!
Flipping Hell Goes Through!
2 more battles in the morning, I have to re-write one as I put the wrong robot in it :proud:
Boo!
Late tonight... Spent 5hrs today building relay controllers for team mates robot.. Unplanned, but it was my proto type controller and it didnt explode and let out the magic smoke, so surely that lets me off the hook for not having the two battles up by now :proud:
No? Aww, come on, Ive got a robot to build in less then 40 days  and its still only a CAD drawing and a 12kg pile of parts on the floor. RoboWars 3 is gonna rock :proud:
*Pulls out Rod of Ressurection*
Yeah... Im going to bring this tourny back to life!!!!
One battle tomorrow when I get back from work :proud:
Wedga Revo VS Wedge Devo
Three
Two
One
Fight!
Both bots leave their starting squares in a squeal of tires and whine of high powered motor. They collide in the centre of the arena, Wedga Revo just getting under Wedge Devo, lifting the front of Wedge Revo off the floor. Steven guns Wedge Revo, smoking the remaining tyres on the arena floor in an attempt to push Wedga Revo by its scoop. AJ with have none of this and fires the flipper, sending Wedge Devo end over end. Wedga Revo continues to hand out the punishment as it box rushes the still tumbling Wedge Devo, Wedge Devo lands upside down just to be rammed into wall!
Stevo selfrights his wedge and gots back on the prowl! Both bots dancing around the arena, each taking charges at each other, but just missing each time. Stevo dons his Top hat and kick his mind over into Professor mode... Suddenly Wedge Devo reverses back against the arena wall. AJ takes the gamble for a quick OOTA flip, rushing into give Wedge Devo a box rush it will never forget! The two collide! Wedga Revo bounces up the front wedge of Wedge Devo beaching itself! The croud goes wild!
Prof Vengence drives slowly across the arena... being careful not to loose the beached Wedga Revo.. AJ fires the flipper, rocking Wedga Revo off the top of Wedge Devo! Prof Vengence having a quick brain storm, rush into Wedga Revo as soon as it his the floor and CLAMP! The retracting flipping arm on Wedge Devo acting as a clamper, griping Wedga Revo... Wedge Devo lays rubber as it rushes with the now trapped Wedga Revo straight to the arena push out zone! AJ fires the flipper again, trying to get free, but breaks off the flipping arm of Wedge Devo!!!!!!
The flipping arms go up and hits the roof of the arena... But its all over for Wedga Revo as Wedge Devo rams it out of the arena!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11LOL111 ELEVEN!!!!
WINNER! WEDGE DEVO!
I actually enjoyed writing that :lame: Despite the amount of times I lost track of which bot was which... Wedga Devo, Wedge Devo, Wedga Revo, Wedge Revo.... ARGGGGHHHH!!!!
Nice fight Aaron, only took ya 7 months XD
Yeah :lame: Good things come to those who wait... But dont hold their breath...
Another fight tonight when I get home from the Forestry Drive Practise :proud:
7 months for a fight that we all knew Wedge Devo would win anyway xD
Damn right :proud:
