Ill give it some thought AJ. Thankfully, Ive put all eight stats on Notepad.
I dont take long to post stats, Im just busy during the week and have to get everything sorted at a weekend like Ive just done for PTT5. Everyone take note that Ill usually always enter the same eight robots which stats are always on my forum. The only time this will change is if there have been upgrades or I have made a new robot.
I accept your apology Dan, and I just hope nobody does it again. If so - tough, you have just lost someone who is likely to enter.
If you are getting short on entrants and time, I will post some bots. It only takes two minutes (that still seems to be too long for certain people).
As each day goes by I get more and more fed up of people in this area. Maybe I should go to ARC...
[Note: This post regards eveyone, not just Dan who Im picking on at the moment :P]
So long, Im sure Ill find something else to moan at in a minute so seeya there.
OK, everything sorted out. Sorry if I upset anyone in my rage, I didnt mean it.

Just to shut Danny up
Smash-Up At The Bar
Weight- 98.8kg (As ever, weight distribution available on request)
Dimensions- H- 35cm, L+W- 65cm
Speed- 9.6mph
Shape- Low Square Cuboid
Ground Clearance- 7mm chassis, dead zero everywhere else
Turning Circle- 0
Armour- 4mm RSP-707 TG top, 6mm Hardox on sides, 5mm polycarbonate base
Locomotion- 4 240mm foam filled wheels
Power- 4 x S28-150 Magmotors, producing 11.72BHp
Removable Link Position- Underneath rear skirt about 10cm back.
Weapon 2- On top of the machine is an 18kg spinning bar powered by a single LEM 130 off 48V. it spins at 2600rpm and produces a nasty 94Kj of energy, which we predict should be able to nicely cut through up to a cm of titanium. There are no 2x2kg hammer ends, angled down over the edge of the box, on the end, which should mean that we can now hit machines, even when they are lower than us. These means there are now no need for the skirts.
Srimech- Another incredible part of the machine. When we are flipped, the bar naturally slows down. When the speed reduces to a speed of around 60rpm, at which point such action will not damage the mechanism, 2 latches will automatically stop the blade from spinning. This will enable us to fire 2 low-pressure arms, each with around 14 fires before the pressure drops. This should be enough per fight
Strengths- Good all-round machine
Weaknesses- Can be beaten by a strong, fast, powerful flipper as well as a couple of single machines that shan€™t be named. Very little will beat this one as it is designed along the same line as Spinverter, in the sense that it€™s the best of everything in a small package.
Chassis- 10kg
Armour- 24kg
Batteries- 9kg
Motors- 6.8kg
Weapons- 28kg
Weapon Power- 12.2kg
Electronics- 7kg
TOTAL- 98.8KG
B2B (Back 2 Basics)
Weight- 100.6kg
Dimensions- L-75cm W-54cm H- 36.5cm
Speed- 8.5mph/ 3.8 m/s. This however still gives excellent acceleration and the speed of the hits will help us do the Tornado thing:proud:
Shape- Normal Wedge, with rollbars on the back panel made from welded 1cm titanium.
Locomotion- 2 x 270mm diameter wheels with custom cut treads from an old adapted Go-Kart
Ground Clearance- 0 at front, 0 underneath hinged skirts at sides, 4mm underneath skirts and at back.
Turning Circle-0
Power- 2 x 36V Dustin Motors running off 3 x 24V TMC batteries weighing a total of 9kg for the batteries plus 2.6kg for the motors (Lightweight or what:proud:). It gives a total (Presuming efficiency is at maximum) of 4.42BHp. Not the best shover, but with the wedge shaped, the idea will be that before pushing you scoop the wheels off the ground.
Armour- 7mm Titanium/Vanadium Alloy all around weighing a total of 28.4940747kg for the whole body. The titanium bars on the back weigh a total of about 8.4kg.
Chassis- The chassis is made of 1cm aluminium bars, and weighs around 12kg.
Weapon 1- The weapon is a Helium powered flipper, with 2 x 3kg helium rams, capable of firing about 40 times within the course of a fight, and despite running off just 400psi, is easily capable of flipping 250kg. The rams in total, plus gas, and bottles etc. weighs around 16kg and the actual flipper is made out of 4mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy and is around two-thirds the width of the body and goes up the whole wedge. It weighs 5.022kg.
Weapon 2- the bottom of the front wedge is an entirely detachable wedge made of 1cm aluminium. It€™s been designed to be heavy enough to prevent the front wheelying when driving, and therefore means that it should be simple to flip any robots over. It covers about 10cm of the wedge, and is more than capable of resisting attacks. It€™s been designed well and uses the force of gravity and balance to keep it down, whilst only weighing 3.288384kg in total.
Removable Link Position- In a hole with a swinging flap about 10cm into the back panel, but you have to get past the rollbars to get to it.
Srimech- The flipper acts as a self-righter, and will always land on his wheels thanks to the rollbars on the back, once we self-right. The only time this won€™t work is if we can€™t get enough pressure in the ram to fire us over.
Strengths- Powerful, long-lasting weaponry. Manouvreable. Flipper should never fail to slide underneath.
Weaknesses- Not the best pusher in a straight shoving battle
Powerpoint The Thrasher 5 (PTT5)
Weight- 91.2kg (WDOR)
Dimensions- L- 60cm, W- 90cm, H- 28cm
Speed- 16.7mph, 7.5m/s
Shape- resembles a spanner, with the tightening bits at the side.
Ground Clearance- Not too big, but not tiny either, probably around 4mm
Turning circle- Minimal, if not nil
Armour- 1cm Grade 5 titanium all over, weighing a total of 38.88156kg
Power- 12 x 2480mAh, Apogee Lithium Polymer batteries, running at 11.1V each, but run in series to crank it up to a limit of just 24V as this is all we need and they weigh a total of just 1.86kg. They power 2 PERM-PMG-080€™s running at 24V and weigh a total of 6.1818182kg and produce 7.9BHp. The motors are geared down at a ratio of 14:1
Locomotion- We€™re using wheels from off-road skateboards for the main powered central reasons, and then we have 8 wheels from normal skateboards mounted on all corners top and bottom for extra stability.
Removable Link- The removable link is in the centre of the top of the machine, directly above the weapon.
Weapon- In the centre of the spanner form, there is a 50cm diameter horizontal disc, running off 2 x LEM 130€™s running on a reduced gearing to just 2000RPM . This will produce just over 10Kj, but the numerous little teeth on the outside (about 250 of them) will constantly chew at the surface. The whole disc is made of 1cm titanium and weighs just 9.2kg.
Srimech- Invertible
Strengths- Invertible, Nippy, Hard To Get Hold Of
Weaknesses- Slightly tricky to drive, Weapon will not damage thick armour
Hacked off Ha-ka
Weight- 89.4kg- (WDOR)
Dimensions- H- 40cm, L- 1m, W- 70cm
Speed- 13.3mph or 5.3 m/s
Shape- 2 x 35 degree wedges about 40cm long, with a 3ocm box section in the middle.
Locomotion- 4x Solid aluminium hubs with old karting wets around it
Ground Clearance- 1mm at sides, 3mm at rear, 0 at front
Turning Circle- 0
Power- 4x Dustin motors running on 36V powered by 3 TMC 36V batteries/ They produce a total of 8.84BHp
Armour- 5mm Aluminium Boron Carbide
Weapon 1- A larger hammer than before weighing 11.5kg. It runs off some very nice 1000psi nitrogen rams, and produces around 4 tonnes at the beginning and about 2.7 towards the end. At the beginning I€™d say it€™d cut through 8mm titanium in 2 or 3 swift hits. It€™s double sided, with one Terrorhurtz style blade, and one Mortis one.
Weapon 2- A small strip of ti/vanadium alloy that should enable each wedge to slide under easier
Removable Link Position- Under a small 6mm steel electromagnetically secured panel at the back of the robot.
Srimech- invertible, but the axe will right it if necessary due to the fact that the head is angled back into a hole, which keeps the head inside the body.
Strengths- Powerful weaponry, Manouvreable, good acceleration, well armoured
Weaknesses- Not the best pushing power, limited CO2.
In-terror-fied
Weight- 97kg(WDOR)
Dimension- L- 95cm, W-70cm, H-32cm
Speed- 18.6mph or 8.3m/s
Shape- Box with sloped sides and a rounded back
Ground Clearance- 0mm everywhere but back where it€™s 8mm
Turning Circle- 0
Locomotion- 2 x 330mm diameter rubber tyres with custom designed treads. There is also a full-size invertible castor at the front to aid steering.
Removable Link position- At the back of the machine, under the armour and about 10cm back. This bit has a swinging flap.
Armour- 4mm Fibre Glass over 3mm Grade 5 titanium
Power- 2 x 15.1hp PERM motors running at 48V and powered by 36V NiCad packs.
Weapon- A pair of large clamping jaws ala Dundee, powered by a hydraulic ram and producing around 7 tonnes of force. In between them is a hydraulically powered crossbow that will hopefully puncture the shell on the sides as back as well as the top and base.
Srimech- Invertible
Strength- Powerful weaponry, Powerful drive, strong and lightweight armour.
Weaknesses- Poor traction, against well-armoured machines, weapon will be useless.
Veg 2
Weight- 100.2kg (WDOR)
Speed- 12.8mph 5.7 m/s
Dimension- H- 23cm W- 70cm L- 93cm
Shape- Low wedge, with extra steeper wedge part at back.
Locomotion- 2 x drilled aluminium boron carbide wheels, with custom cut tyres made from an old conveyer belt. These have miniature diamond shavings in to allow extra traction. They stick out at an angle out of the back wedge. However, they have wheel guards to protect them, which show nothing but the bit that hits the floor.
Ground clearance- 0 at front, 0-5mm at sides, 2mm at rear.
Turning circle- 0
Armour- 5mm Nanoflex, with wheel guards and flipper being made from 7mm
Power- 2 x S28-400 motors running at 24V producing 9BHp but only weighing 6.2 kg. We€™ve got 2x 24V TMC batteries powering them.
Removable link position- about half way down in the wedge at the back.
Weapon- A Helium powered flipper, with 4x 2kg canister running at 750 psi. This should have around 35 flips in it and should be able to toss robots about 3-4 feet into the air. It can be cranked up to 1000psi or cranked down to 500, changing the flips level by 10 each way, and upping/downing the flip height by about a foot.
Srimech- Invertible and capable of flipping ala Rick both ways up.
Strengths- Powerful weapon, invertible, good manouvreability
Weaknesses- Not quite sure yet, possibly low on traction with 2WD, but htose wheels are well gripped.
RPS XPN1
Weight- 96kg
Dimensions- H-30cm W-65cm L-90cm
Speed- 12mph
Shape- Mega-Morg Shape
Ground Clearance- 3mm all round
Turning Circle- Almost 0
Armour- 13mm Lithium Carbide
Locomotion- 4 air filled karting slicks, with great manouvreability but limited traction. This is used for quick getaways and approaches.
Power- 2 24v batteries from a ventilator, weighing in at only 3kg each. These power 2 LEM 130€™s running at 48V geared down at 2:1 with the motors running at 3600rpm. This gives us 8.8BHp
Failsafe position- Under a sliding panel at the rear.
Paint Scheme- Fluorescent yellows, pinks and oranges
Weapons- The reason we€™re using lightweight materials for armour, chassis, batteries and motors, is so we have a lot of weight left for weaponry.
Weapon 1- A static bucket scoop with screw sticking up from it, to aid in using it to push
Weapon 2- A Terrorhurtz style axe on top of the machine running off a 180mm bore ram. The axe runs from a 1.5kg CO2 canister, which is run to produce 1 tonne at the ram and about 2.5 tonnes at the tip. The axe will give us 10-20 blows a fight, and is capable of getting a dent in 6mm Grade 5 titanium. It will go straight through 3.5mm Grade 5 titanium
Weapon 3- A small scissor style mechanism, capable of lifting or crushing at a force of 3 tonnes either way.
These should work in unison to give us many necessary features.
Srimech- Axe and/or shape
Strong Against- Most things providing all weapons are working.
Weak Against- Strong Armoured rammers
Robot Compared to- Imagine a cross between Terrorhurtz, Invertebrat, X-Terminator and Drillzilla (Strength of the armour) and you€™re about there.
House robot most feared- Growler
Strengths- Good all-rounder
Weaknesses- Traction
Upper-Cut
Weight- 92kg
Dimensions- H- 45cm W- 65cm L- 80cm
Speed- 8mph
Shape- Reversed Beveled wedge
Ground Clearance- 1mm under wedge at back, 5mm under front
Turning Circle- 30cm
Armour- 7mm Lithium Carbide
Locomotion- 2 casters mounted in a hole, underneath the front and 2 small rubber wheels at the back
Power- 2 LEM 130€™s running at 36V and with a pushing power of just under 6BHp. These are powered by 3 12V EC21 batteries, weighing 7kg each.
Failsafe Position- About half way up the wedge, under a 4mm steel panel, 3€ x 3€ secured by an electromagnet
Paint Scheme- Yellow
Weapons- A 13€ diameter vertical disc with 4 blades on the outside. It spins upwards and weighs 14kg. It€™s powered by an Etek, running 4:3 at 3000rpm and produces 25Kj
Srimech- Invertible
Strong Against- Axes, Horizontal spinners
Weak against- Flippers, Crushers
Robot most compared to- Itself
House robot most feared- Killalot
Strengths- Powerful weaponry, invertible
Weaknesses- Slow, Hard to drive
Oh yeah I was gonna enter this. Forgot:proud:
Stats up later.
Robot 1
Name: The Crashing Bore
Shape: Box at the back with a low wedge at the front. The wedge is at a smaller angle than before, giving it a slightly longer €œnose€Â, plus it now has a CM long extension on the front which goes flat along the ground, allowing it to get under anything, skirted or otherwise.
Speed: 12 MPH
Weight: ~97 KGs
Dimensions: 140 X 70 X 40 CM (LWH)
Ground clearance: 0 at front, 0 at sides with side and rear skirts, 1 CM without, all round. The sides of the skirts are shaped to leave absolutely no gap, except when the robot is turning.
Weapon 1: A mousetrap style blade, only instead of a flat piece of metal, it€™s jagged like ^^^^^^^, meaning instead of one big blade, it comes down as lots of little points meaning it can do more damage thanks to the area/damage ratio rule. A huge difference though€¦ Now it€™s Etek powered instead of running on gas. The blade is retracted by use of a different winding mechanism, so retraction is slower to prevent self harm.
Weapon 2: An inch thick diamond tipped industrial drill. Extends to 6 inches outside the robot, and comes out of a hole in the wedge. Theoretically, it can cut through more or less anything, but is mainly used for drilling through trapped opponents. Will provide diagram of extension mechanism if asked.
Weapon 3: Two 20 CM spikes at the rear, which rest along the floor. The main function is to stop the force of the trap making the robot jump around, but they can also be used as a rear wedge thanks to the shape.
Armour: 6 mm grade 5 Ti with a 4 mm polycarb laminate.
Srimech: The trap.
Power: Six nicads in series power the motors to 36 volts, another four power the Etek at 48 volts, while a seventh runs the miscellaneous stuff like the gyro.
Wheels: Four indoor go-kart wheels. Provide excellent traction on indoor surfaces. These are stuffed rather than pumped, so a puncture wont slow it down too much.
Motors: 4 S28-400 magmotors at 36 volts.
Extras: It now also features Tempest style shock proofing.
Safety link: Under a hatch at the top.
Strengths: Psychotic weaponry, design evolved to eliminate as many weaknesses as possible. Therefore, it€™s extremely difficult to knock out.
Weaknesses: High ground clearance under the skirts, not as manoeuvrable as unskirted 2 wheeled robots.
Robot 2
Name: The Disc 5
Shape: It€™s still the €œbar-bell of doom€ shape we€™ve all come to know and€¦ Know. The framework around the disc itself is gone now, for two reasons. First off, people had trouble imagining what shape it was and kept thinking they could effectively latch on to it, and secondly because€¦ Well, basically the weapon itself is more or less indestructible anyway so I may as well save some weight. Anything powerful enough to damage the disc won€™t be put off by Ti bars. It still has the side spikes, but these are no longer the removable links.
Size: 60X110X60 CM (LWH)
Weight: ~100 KGs
Speed: 10 MPH.
Ground clearance: Under the wheel protectors, it€™s 5 mm.
Weapon: 27 KG spinning disc, powered by one LEM 130 Lynch motor and going at 2500 RPM. What€™s so special about this new version is€¦ It has no teeth! Rather, it has no detachable teeth. Instead, the teeth are actually a part of the disc itself, so it would have to be shaped specially. The energy output is 36 KJ€™s which, while modest by vapour €˜bot standards should still be enough to make a mess of things.
Weapon 2: The outer axle the disc is attached to now also spins along with the disc. This has several little tungsten spikes for teeth, but it€™s more a defensive feature than an offensive one€¦ Try grabbing hold of that:proud:
Wheels: Shock horror€¦ It now technically has six wheel drive, although it only runs on four at a time. In an idea stol€¦ borrowed from Gigavirus, there are three wheels on each side, and they are arranged in a triangular fashion, so when it€™s flipped it will inevitably land on two. It can€™t balance on just one, as the weight will drag it over. Now it actually has something to push against as it stops, it becomes as easy to control as anything can be with a huge gyroscopic force in the middle of it. The wheels are made of 1 CM solid grade 5 Ti. Wrapped and glued around that is 3 CMs of soft compound rubber, allowing it to squish downwards a bit and absorb its own hits, and around all of that are vulcanore (or however you spell it) rubber tyres to provide traction. These are protected from disc attacks by two semi-circular wheel guards, so each wheel unit still looks like a ball.
Chassis: The main chassis consists of one solitary 1 CM thick 4 mm box section hardox bar. Slotted over that is a secondary axle, inside which are the batteries. There are also two other triangular chassis€™ supporting the wheels. These are made from 4 MM 1 CM box section Ti bars with weight reducing holes.
Armour: The true axle and chassis is a 4 MM hardox bar. The battery axle is 5 mm aluminium. The semi circular wheel protectors and side spikes are 6 mm grade 5 Ti. The disc itself is 2.25 CM€™s of Titanium, and the spinning axle is 4 mm grade 5 Ti.
Srimech: Totally invertible. Controls won€™t even have to be reversed after flipping, meaning it can just go straight back on the attack.
Drive: 2 S28-400 Magmotors at 24 volts.
Safety links: It still needs two. These are at the very ends of the battery axle, accessible by holes next to the spinning axle. Technically it€™s possible to hit these with a toothpick style axe, but in the middle of a battle, when both robots are moving around and you€™re in a control pod at least 20 feet away€¦ Well, it€™s not going to happen.
Strengths: Very hard to hit, and hits very hard. Also thanks to the new wheels, it€™s about as controllable as something can be when it€™s got a gyroscopic force smack bang in the middle of it. Also thanks to the shape of the wheels, other spinners shouldn€™t be able to hurt it as much.
Weaknesses: To be honest I€™m not sure€¦ I haven€™t kill analysed this new version as much as the old version, so it may still be possible to surprise me with strategies I haven€™t thought of a good counter for:wink:
Yes I know: It€™s possible to avoid the weapon by being too wide to get in between the wheels. This is not a weakness, as it€™s extremely hard to effectively exploit. If you€™re a box, you€™ll still have corners I can go for, and will likely have to have thin armour or go overweight. If you€™re round, there€™ll always be a bit I can hit thanks to your shape. Anyway it€™s as long as rules allow€¦ So quit asking me about it.
Robot 3
Name: Tempest: Evil-er-oution
Shape: Disc shaped
Weight: ~100 KGs
Size: 65 x 20 CM (DH)
Speed: 15 MPH
Ground clearance: 1 CM all round
Motors: The two wheels are powered by S28-300 Magmotors at 24 volts, but the weapon is powered by a LEM 130 Lynch motor at 48 volts. These are powered by battlepack NiCDs.
Wheels: Two. These have only semi-good traction, to prevent it staying near the opponent after striking. Again, they€™re stuffed instead of pumped.
Weapon: Full body spinner, can reach speeds of 2000 RPM. It now has interchangeable tooth options. Options 1,2 and 3 have four teeth, and are the classic backward hook shape, while option 4 has two and are flatter.
Option 1: Short 2 CM cutting teeth, for robots with weak armour and no wedge. I€™m not expecting to use these much.
Option 2: These are basic 6 CM teeth. These should still give Tempest enough range to out-strike other spinners and hit wedges before they get in under the main body.
Option 3: This is a set of 15.5 CM teeth. Used for shallow wedges and spinners with longer teeth.
Option 4: Two 25 CM teeth, running as close to the floor as possible. These are used against machines with high GC€™s, enabling it to chop up the wheels and damage the drive chain better. Like option 1, I€™m not expecting to use these much, but y€™never know.
Armour: 8 mm grade 5 Ti for the rim, 1 CM Aluminium at the top and bottom.
Srimech: Runs either way up. If the weapon is running, it cant stay on its side.
Extras: Deliberately bounces off of things it hits, so that its just about impossible to push, and also has time to spin up to a damaging speed again. There is rubber tape at all places where two pieces of metal join, and it has rubber shock pads mounted at strategic places on the inside, and the important components are foam mounted, allowing it to absorb its own impacts very well.
Safety link: In the centre of the machine, accessible at both top and bottom thanks to panels.
Strengths: Damaging weapon, it€™s very reliable, is hard to predict and cannot be shoved around.
Weaknesses: Is also pretty hard to control because I€™ll never know exactly where it lands. Wheels are exposed to axes, but are stuffed so won€™t take too much damage from them.
Robot 4
Name: I.D.S.F.A
Shape: Similar to Raging Knightmare..
Weight: 100 KGs
Speed: 20 MPH
GC: 0 at front, 1 CM at back and sides. 0 with skirts at back and sides.
Drive: 4 wheel drive, powered by two LEM 130 Lynch motors at 48 volts.
Weapon 1: A front hinged flipper on the front, using two 120 stroke, 80 bore rams on 250 PSI. Don€™t know how much it should be able to tip over, but should manage other robots fine. There is a lead weight bolted inside the machine in the far front to give it a little weight and ensure it can get under other machines, along with a sharp strip on the front to let it slide under skirts. There is also a speed bump on the end of the flipper to make sure fast robots like Storm 2 can€™t just drive straight over it.
Weapon 2: A rear steel horizontal disc. This weighs in at 15 KGs, and deals out 10 KJ€™s.
Armour: The front flipper plate is made of 4 MM hardox, and the rest of the machine is 4 MM grade 5 Ti.
Skirts: Made of 3 mm Grade 5 Ti. These are held down with springs, but not the dual sprung monsters as seen on SpinVerter. Just regular springs like on Storm 2 to make them a little harder to get under than regular hinged skirts.
Srimech: The flipper. The weight installed in the front of the machine makes sure it rests on the flipper and not on its back, for more efficient self righting.
Strengths: Fast drive and good flipper mean it could get under and throw over opponents before they can even move.
Weaknesses: Armour and rear flywheel compromised for weight.
Robot 5
Name: Starstorm 2
Shape: Dome, with a spike on top in the centre to allow it to self right.
Colour: Black with stars painted on.
Weapon: Full body flipper. It uses three 80 bore X 160 stroke rams, powered on 500 PSI. When the weapon fires, the entire lid of the robot shoots upwards. The aim of this robot is: Shoot it high, watch it die. Because of the shape it€™s likely to throw opponents up rather than long, meaning a high drop but it will land near me, so with decent driving I can keep getting under them as they fall. Won€™t be able to OOTA unless pretty close to the wall though:sad:
Weapon 2, more or less: Four skirts completely surround the machine. These can be raised and lowered using linear actuators. They€™re raised when cruising, but when I want to get under something, the skirt in question is lowered as I attack, allowing me to slide under nicely. The skirts can also be lowered as a defence mechanism. When lowered fully, the skirts go flat against the floor, so most wedges will go straight over and onto the dome, and can then be launched.
Armour: 4 mm hardox with weight reducing holes for the dome, 3.25 hardox for the skirts and 6 mm Polycarb for the base.
Drive: Four wheel drive, powered by two S28-400 Magmotors.
Ground clearance: Variable depending on skirt level. Minimum is 0 mm, maximum is 5 mm. Under the front and rear GC though are rollers, allowing it to move up and down ramps easily.
Turning circle: 0.
Srimech: The lid will tip it over. Thanks to the spike, this will work 100% of the time.
Extras: Contains Tempest level shock absorption.
Safety link: The top spike.
Strengths: Hopefully very high powered flipper, reliable, tough armour. The shape of the armour will make spinners glance off rather than actually damaging it. Also 360 degree offensive/defensive capability.
Weaknesses: Can be out-pushed, and like any totally new ideas I€™m only 50% sure it€™ll work. Also thanks to the flipping method, opponents will likely go up high, but not along very much so may struggle OOTA-ing a bit.
Robot 6
Name: Enter The May Tracks
Shape: Like Comengetorix, but with more of a wedge on the front.
Size: 130X60X18 CM (LWH)
Speed: 20 MPH
Weapon: Rear hinged flipper, powered by two 80X140 rams on 150 PSI. It has a flat extension plate, extending the front by 2 CM, and allowing it to defeat most skirts. It has a recycler system as well, theoretically giving it unlimited fire power. The sunglasses are made of metal, and are attached to the top of the flipper to stop robots going straight over the top like Storm 2 did with Firestorm.
Armour: 3.25 MM hardox.
Mobility: Steel tracks, with rubber strips glued in place to provide traction. These are hidden inside the robot, meaning only an axe can attack them, after flipping the machine. As there are very few Axe/flipper combos I should be safe from this:) If I have to go up ramps, I can remove some hardox plates to expose the tracks and make it extremely manoeuvrable as only a tracked machine can be,
Motors: 2 S28-400 Mags at 24 volts.
Ground clearance: 0 at front, 5 at back and sides.
Strengths: Good traction, has a lot of flips, and all-round toughness. It can keep going on and on and on and on and€¦
Weaknesses: Tracks are exposed when flipped,
Robot 7
Name: Grabbit Advance
Shape: Rectangular, with hinged skirts, which flop over when flipped.
Weight: ~98 KGs
Size: 115X50X20 CM (LWH)
Speed: 15 MPH
Drive: Four wheels, powered by two S28-400 magmotors on 24 volts.
Weapon: Horizontal hydraulic pincers, operating at 3000 or 5000 psi, depending on tournament rules. The pinchers are made of 1 cm solid Titanium, and sharpened to a point. These can also be used as a 360o lifter, which is powered by 2 S28-300 magmotors, allowing it to grapple robots, lift them up and drop them somewhere VERY nasty.
Armour: 5 mm grade 5 ti.
Srimech: Runs either way up.
Strengths: Good pushing power, heavy-duty armour and powerful weapon. Once it has a grip on a robot, it€™s mine to play with. Also can€™t be stacked, as it can just push itself off the wall again:)
Weaknesses: Ideal shape for axes and vertical crushers.
Robot 8
Name: NSBFR X (Never Seen Before Fic Robot X)
Shape: Invertible box wedge with rounded sides, plus side and rear skirts.
Weight: Dependant on weapon set-up, but the heaviest is 100 KGs
Speed: 20 MPH
Weapons: Interchangeable weapons selected from the below list:
1: Basic horizontal 5 KG spinning bar. This goes around at 1500 RPM.
2: Electric 4 mm hardox pincers with weight reducing holes. These have 5 CM soft compound rubber pads on the tips, and are used against FBS€™
3: The classic solid hardox scoop with controlling latch, weighing in at a massive 20 KG€™s. Mainly used against flywheel wielding nasties.
4: Electric lifting plate, able to tip over 150 KG€™s€¦ I€™m sure I can find a few things to use this on:)
5: 12 KG spinning drum spinning at 3500 RPM, powered by a LEM-130 (my favouritest spinner motor:)) at 48 volts. Probably won€™t damage much, but could tip some robots over.
Weapon attachment method: I have changed this. First off the weapons are slotted on, and a 1.5 CM titanium locking bar is pushed through the side of the machine, and then held in position with two 5 mm hardox bolts. The under-section of the weapon is then attached with more bolts, holding it on very firmly and should prevent the weapon from being torn off (which as far as I know never happened, but no sense taking chances).
Armour: 5 mm grade 5 ti.
Ground clearance: 0 at the front no matter which wedge is being used. 4 mm at the side, and 6 mm at the rear. If using the pincers, the front GC is 4 mm. The skirts give it 0 mm all round, and are hinged so flop over when flipped.
Wheels: 4 indoor go-kart wheels which are stuffed rather than pumped.
Motors: 2 LEM 130€™s powered at 48 volts.
Srimech: Invertible.
Safety link: Under a hatch at the rear.
Strengths: Good armour, interchangeable weapons. Quick.
Weaknesses: May not perform as well in melees. Might still be possible for weapons to come off mid-fight, but I doubt it€™ll happen.
On school computer...
Due to someone on this forum sending me a virus, this tourney will be starting quite late. I hope to get my computer up and running by the end of the week.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Um...I dont mean to be rude, but when is this starting?
Because of the virus that was sent to me, I lost everything, including the draw, all the stats and some of the early melees I was writing. Because of this, the tourney is cancelled.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Err...I dont see why you cant just...you know, start again. After all, youve still got all the stats here. Or am I missing something?
thanks a lot
