Err...dont we deserve to know what happened in those heats to let, for example, Napalm win...or is that a surprise for later?

Ive decided to just give points values at the moment, and an entire results archive will be available from my site in a few weeks.

Im going to be picking certain robots from the ranking list to get a second chance. More news soon.

Im currently planning new rules for the second Fantasy tournament, which I hope to start some time in the Autumn. Some of my plans include more robots, forum members designing their own machines (not actually building them) to take part and a new seeding system. aNy ideas for next time on how we can improve this?

Thought Id wrap up the results as Im away this week, so here are the final points values:

Geez, Im lucky. All those second-chance robots are on my list :) Ive added my points up so far and the total comes to 170. Anyone else had a chance to add theirs up?

OK...but will we get to know what actually happened in the fights later on? What actually happened during the fight? Or are you doing that AFTER every result is up?

Ill be doing that after all the results are announced, which will be at least two weeks.

Expect the second semi-final either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Just to mention that the top prize will be a video file sent to the winner containing a selection of matches including several finals and a few that Ive put on. The file will be in a zip. file and the winner may then wish to create a DVD for themseleves if they wish.

*Wonders what will happen if the winner still uses dial-up*

Now here is the new format for the 2nd season:
The competition begins with 8 heats, each concerning 6 robots. You must predict the winners of each heat, and earn bonus points if you are correct. The 6 winners will join the 16 semi-finalists from the 1st fantasy season, and will compete in a league format. Each robot will compete in 8 4-way melees, earning points for their success (10 for a win, 6 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd, and 0 for 4th). Contestants must predict the position of all 24 teams in the league. The person closest to the result will win the second season of Robot Wars Fantasy. Lenny will be able to defend his title, but will only win the pride of coming first should he win again, as hell already have the video file. I wont start it for a few weeks though. Names of the robots coming soon.
