Did someone say GENERATOR?
*whoa-whoa whoa whoa whoa*
Hehehe :proud:
One thing I dont get is why people are starting to measure stuff in lbs not kg.
Because they are American.
And of course, a temperature system based on the freezing point of sodium chloride in water is more logical than one based on water itself...
Oh right, that makes sense then.
Well then again, your robot is suppose to pound the other robot, not kilo them to death :proud:
*walks out listening to Walk Idiot Walk*
Sam, theyre all correct. :proud:
Prediction: R.O.T.A.T.E will rotate OOTA.

The Reindeer vs. Darth Dread
ROBOTEERS STAND BY€¦
3€¦2€¦1€¦ACTIVATE!
The Reindeer being slightly faster gallops across the arena and crashes headfirst into Darth Dread. Darth Dread€™s Iron axe slowly starts to move, the team claim it can fire in about 0.6 seconds but it looking more like 60 seconds! Martyn literally grabs the opportunity as the claws slam shut and start crushing the body. The tips of the claws go through the 3mm Lexan like a knife through hot butter, and Martyn decides The Reindeer has a good enough grip to start parading Darth Dread around the warzone.
The linear actuated axe finally taps on the top of The Reindeer, and then goes back up again and tries another effort - no luck. Darth Dread looks like a woodpecker trying to get into a tank, and Martyn is enjoying this, he has full control of the fight now. The claws start moving again and this time start to press against the 6mm Titanium armour, the claws aren€™t struggling and the plate starts to buckle.
The Reindeer starts to move towards the top end of the arena as Darth Dread tries another tap on the head. The pit release tyre is bumped into and the central pit starts to descend for the first time in the rumble. The Reindeer now starts to push Darth Dread towards the pit of oblivion and stops a few meters in front, and the antlers start to open wide, so that Darth Dread can be dumped down the pit. The claws slip out and Darth Dread turns and runs away from The Reindeer before it can push him down the pit! Darth Dread does another on the spot spin and faces the onrushing Reindeer. Darth Dread gets underneath and drives forwards and dumps The Reindeer down right onto the edge of the pit! The Reindeer quickly turns and drives away as Darth Dread comes flying back in, The Reindeer turns back and slams the claws into Darth Dread knocking it into the pit.
CEASE!
When it looked like Darth Dread might get back into the fight The Reindeer just slams it into the pit. The Reindeer advances into Round 2 and Darth Dread goes out.
...AJ?
Sorry, Ive been away for 5 days with no computer access. Ill try to write a few more fights tomorrow.
Sorry about the huge wait everyone, I hope this makes up for it.
Avalanche vs. Clawdius Decimus Murderous
ROBOTEERS STAND BY€¦
3€¦2€¦1€¦ACTIVATE!
Both robots head towards each other straight away, Clawdius Decimus Murderous first with the better acceleration but Avalanche gets there first with its 5mph speed advantage. Avalanche takes a shot at the side but the low BioHazard style skirting on Clawdius Decimus Murderous keeps him from getting under. Steve turns the Clawed Murderer around and gets the low blade under the side of Avalanche and ploughs forwards slipping the whole wedge under ready to attack. The claw slowly goes down and taps the top of Avalanche putting a dent in the 5mm thick Titanium armour. The claws raises and goes in for another go, this time puncturing the armour with the diamond tip. Clawdius Decimus Murderous backs up and heads across the arena stopping just before the red area in the floor, and the beak starts to rise once more, releasing Avalanche.
Clawdius Decimus Murderous quickly jolts forwards and then reverses, shaking Avalanche off the wedge and onto the red area. In a flash the kill saws pop out of the floor and slash the bottom of Avalanche, causing it to jolt into the air in a shower of white sparks. Clawdius Decimus Murderous zooms back into the action and bumps into Avalanche with its two front spears. Avalanche quickly gets away, and turns around heading for a charge at CDM. This time the wedge robot does get under and the drum starts grinding away at the bottom of The Murderer. Avalanche starts pushing Clawdius Decimus Murderous across the arena and then slams it against the arena wall!
The impact sends Clawdy onto his back, and Avalanche reverses, and then charges into it again. Avalanche keeps ramming into Clawdius Decimus Murderous and will not let it self-right! This is almost a repeat of the Robot Wars Series 6 Final between Razer and Tornado. Avalanche keeps driving in continuously and it looks like Steve has given up hope; he has put his transmitter down and looks at the Avalanche repeatedly smashing into the base plate. Oh! But suddenly, Avalanche has started spinning on the spot, forwards and backwards in an arc. It looks like half of the drive has failed and Steve quickly picks up his TX and operates the side flaps, rolling Clawdius Decimus Murderous onto its wheel again ready for attack. The claw-clad machine approaches the spinning metal maniac with caution and dives in, successfully sliding the wedge under Avalanche, ready for another pecking with the beak.
This time Clawdius decides to head North towards the pit release tyre, and nudges Avalanche into it. The siren goes off, as the pit of oblivion gets deeper and deeper€¦
It must be simple from now on, as Clawdius turns around and heads for the pit and 30 seconds remain on the clock. Clawdius Decimus Murderous starts moving very slowly towards the wide-open pit. 15 seconds left.
Clawdius gets to the edge of the pit and starts lifting the beak.
10€¦9€¦8€¦
Avalanche won€™t come off so the beak falls and rises again.
7€¦6€¦5€¦
Avalanche slides off the claw and falls onto the front wedge.
4€¦3€¦2€¦
Avalanche just turns onto the edge of the pit.
CEASE!
And right when cease is called Clawdius Decimus Murderous dumps Avalanche into the pit, but unfortunately the judges will have to decide€¦
(Cheers to Mr. McG for letting me use his Judging Method!)
Judges Decision
Avalanche
Damage: 3/5 x 3 = 9
Aggression: 5/5 x 2.5 = 12.5
Strategy: 4/5 x 2 = 8
Control: 3/5 x 1.5 = 4.5
Style: 3/5 x 1 = 3
15 + 12.5 + 8 + 4.5 + 3 = 37/50
Clawdius Decimus Murderous
Damage: 4/5 x 3 = 12
Aggression: 3/5 x 2.5 = 7.5
Strategy: 4/5 x 2 = 8
Control: 4/5 x 1.5 = 6
Style: 4/5 x 1 = 3
12 + 7.5 + 8 + 6 + 4 = 37.5/50
Knowing my Maths that is probably wrong but Clawdius Decimus Murderous wins a very close decision by half a point and joins The Reindeer in Round 2!
A-WOOHOO! :proud:
Top-notch stuff, Mr J! A nice start to the new year for Clawdius, methinks :)

Battle Raptor 3 vs. Van Tango
ROBOTEERS STAND BY€¦
3€¦2€¦1€¦ACTIVATE!
Both robots are similar, with the flipper and axe weapon combination and they approach each other with caution. Battle Raptor 3 is first to make a move though and slides round to the side of Van Tango and easily slides the flipping scoop under the 10mm high ground clearance. The flipper fires through 180o and easily tosses over the 100kg Van Tango, but Dave is quick to react and the axe fires flipping Mr. Tango back to his wheels.
Battle Raptor 3 rushes in again looking for another opportunity to attack, but Van Tango quickly gets out of the way and spins on the spot and fires the axe catching Battle Raptor 3 on its way through. The Solarized robot spins on the spot and releases the axe throwing The Raptor across the arena! Stunned, Battle Raptor 3 moves away as Van Tango comes rushing in and smashes into the arena wall.
Battle Raptor 2 turns around and collides into the side of Van Tango and gives it another flip, but this time it bounces onto its side and comes back down onto the scoop. Now there is a change of tactic as Battle Raptor 3 starts pushing Van Tango across the arena and smashes it into the pit release tyre! Van Tango fires its axe/flipper in rage and Battle Raptor decides to toss it onto it€™s back. Van Tango fires the axe again to try and self right but Battle Raptor just won€™t give it any room to do so and slams it into the corner of the arena.
The Raptor backs off and watches, as Van Tango tries to self-right but can€™t as it is stacked against the arena wall. Battle Raptor turns around and backs into Van Tango and fires its pneumatic axe, which puts a nice hole in the plastic layer of armour. Battle Raptor drives in again and rams into Van Tango, and sticks the axe in once more, this time dragging Van Tango away€¦
But as The Raptor starts its journey towards the pit, Van Tango fires its weapon once more and gets off the axe! The weapon fires again and now Van Tango is back on its wheels and away, spinning on the spot madly! Battle Raptor turns around and goes towards Van Tango very carefully. The Raptor takes a risk and charges straight into Van Tango and unluckily gets a whack from one of the side spikes and gets hurled across the arena again! Suddenly, Van Tango is free and the battle has turned.
Van Tango goes back on the attack and tosses Battle Raptor over with its launch pad. Battle Raptor self-rights but Van Tango comes charging in and rams the Raptor down the pit!
CEASE!
Van Tango waits for his chance, tosses Battle Raptor over and puts it in the pit.

PowerPoint Reaches Pressure-Point vs. Automatic Schmuck
ROBOTEERS STAND BY€¦
3€¦2€¦1€¦ACTIVATE!
Automatic Schmuck being the fastest by quite a long way slides across the arena and collides with PRP, just getting under the skirts and gives it a nasty hit with the already up to speed bar. Stunned and bruised, PRP rolls away getting its own spinning bar up to speed. Automatic Schmuck flies into the action once more, gliding under PRP€™s blade and getting a shot in on the skirts.
PRP again slowly backs away, but Automatic Schmuck is straight back in and takes another shot at the skirt, ripping it from the body! What a horrible thought. Mr. Haka turns PRP around, with the bar going at a frightening speed. Automatic Schmuck cruises in again and hits the side panel, causing a scar but at the same time jumps in the air and gets a taste of its own medicine from PRP€™s spinner. Both robots are looking battered and only a minute of the fight has passed!
Tom wasn€™t expecting a PRP attack and this time approaches with caution, and dodges round the side of PRP. Automatic Schmuck€™s extra speed means it can get round to the back where the skirt was removed and gets the wedge under and starts ploughing forwards and smashes PRP into the arena wall. Smashed into the wall and smashed by the bar, what a killer attack!
That might have just finished PRP off, because there doesn€™t seem to be any drive movement€¦ The clock lights up on the wall and the end for PRP is near as Automatic Schmuck spins on the spot.
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦OUT!
CEASE
There was never really any way PRP could have won that fight, Automatic Schmuck goes sailing through!
------------------------------------------------
And finally the€¦ err Christmas Rumble Round 1 has ended, here is the Round 2 line-up:
Round 2
The Reindeer vs. Van Tango
Clawdius Decimus Murderous vs. Automatic Schmuck
*waves to Steve*
My RP:
I might have a worse drive chain, but I make more use of it, so i will aim to get around the side, fire the axe into the wheels with the sharp head to hit into the chains, either to break it or to pin the robot down onto the floor, ready for the spin of it.
Van Tango is really an american robot, just fitted out with the british spec.
SEMI-FINALS
1) The Reindeer VS Van Tango
Perhaps Marty to spring a surprise and send Van Tango 40 ft beneath Daves feet :proud:
2) Automatic Schmuck VS CLAWDIUS DECIMUS MURDEROUS
...um...swoop under, clamp and Pit? :S (This isnt mission: difficult, Mr Hunt, its mission: impossible)
Go AJ! :)
Its semis time!
The Reindeer vs. Van Tango
ROBOTEERS STAND BY€¦
3€¦2€¦1€¦ACTIVATE!
Both robots make a quick start; they both want a place in the final. The Reindeer attacks first and gets the claws around the sides of Van Tango and starts to close them. The hydraulic antlers quickly get a grip on the titanium armour panels and The Reindeer can now move Van Tango where it wants to.
The Van Tango axe fires and taps the Hardox armour on top of The Reindeer, as The Reindeer races across the arena and slams Van Tango into the pit release tyre. As the pit descends, Van Tango breaks free and drives into space. The mad Solarized robot spins on the spot viciously waiting for The Reindeer to attack.
But The Reindeer fears nothing and flies into the spin, getting whacked away with a big clunk! The Reindeer€™s claw has been bent and doesn€™t look like it can cause much damage any more as Van Tango drives back in and smashes the axe down onto the Hardox top. Martyn drives The Reindeer away; things are not looking good for the Essex robot.
Van Tango is on hot pursuit and corners The Reindeer, both robots charge at each other with a big bang. The Reindeer starts pushing Van Tango back and both robots skirt the edge of the pit! (Note to self, have a Steve style pit next time :P)
Van Tango turns away and slides under the side of The Reindeer and fires the flipping scoop tossing Santa€™s friend onto his back! The previously bent antler is now impaled in the floor holding The Reindeer€™s wheels in the air!
Van Tango lines itself up for the bit finale, and drives in and flips! The Reindeer is tossed right way up and rushes away quickly from the pits edge, leaving Van Tango almost pitting itself after its missed follow up ram!
Both robots go for another head to head ram, again The Reindeer pushes Van Tango back, this time crashing it into the arena wall. The Reindeer slowly turns round with Van Tango sitting on the horizontal claw and heads towards the pit. Dave fires the axe trying to get free but The Reindeer has it in its grip. The red nosed robot approaches the pit and jolts backwards; freeing Van Tango, one last push and Van Tango will be in the pit! Dave quickly fires the flipper, which is now under the horizontal claw and shoots The Reindeer into the air! The 100kg warrior bounces back to the floor and drives forwards, finally dumping Van Tango into the pit.
CEASE!
Team Solarized fought all the way to the end but they just couldn€™t stop the mighty Reindeer! Martyn goes through to the final!
Clawdius Decimus Murderous vs. Automatic Schmuck
ROBOTEERS STAND BY€¦
3€¦2€¦1€¦ACTIVATE!
Automatic Schmuck is away, the bar of doom already whirling round at top speed. The green wedge comes into the action, flying the Scottish flag. Tom immediately goes on the attack and the bar makes light work of smashing the Hardox covered crusher out of the way.
Seemingly undamaged on the outside, Clawdius Decimus Murderous turns around to get another face full of pain! Steve quickly turns Clawdius round again and slides under the side skirts of Automatic Schmuck and the crusher starts to lower€¦ Despite the power behind the ram, the crusher just cannot get though the 1.3cm thick Ti/V.
The bar starts whirling around again, skimming the top of Clawdius Decimus Murderous€™ crushing arm. CDM turns Automatic Schmuck around and heads over to the nearby kill saws. The Aussie bot is slowly positioned over the infamous €˜red area€™ and up top the two kill saws like toast! Automatic Schmuck gets a nasty ripping sound and a few sparks, but is freed from Clawdius Decimus Murderous. Automatic Schmuck quickly gets an attack in on the side of CDM, belting it half way across the arena! Spinning around madly from the attack, Clawdius Decimus Murderous is met with another attack, and another and another!
The Scottish robot starts smoking and Automatic Schmuck goes to perform a victory spin. It€™s a second KO in a row!
10€¦9€¦8€¦7€¦6 €¦5€¦4€¦3€¦2â ‚¬Â¦1€¦OUT!
CEASE!
Automatic Schmuck wins another quick knockout, and advances into the final!
The Final!
The Reindeer vs Automatic Schmuck
Lets see...Reindeer has the better pushing power, but Schmuck has the spinning weapon. Have to give it to Reindeer. :)
Im in a battle writing mood for once.
That€™s right, after six battles and two months of combat we are finally here at the AJWars Christmas Rumble grand finale! Let€™s get straight on with the action€¦
The Final - The Reindeer vs. Automatic Schmuck
ROBOTEERS STAND BY!
3€¦2€¦1€¦ACTIVATE!
Both robots fly away quickly, their drivers wanting to get their hands on the trophy! The Reindeer immediately gets a blast from the spinning bar, no damage seems to be caused to the Hardox, but we know it can easily knock a machine out. The Reindeer comes in again and gets the claws around Automatic Schmuck, who pulls back quickly before they can close.
Automatic Schmuck gets another hit on, but The Reindeer is stopping for nothing and rams Shmucky into the arena wall! The claws start to close, Clawdius Decimus Murderous couldn€™t get through, lets see if The Reindeer can€¦ Yes, the armour doesn€™t look like it is going to be pierced but The Reindeer has a good grip on the sides of Automatic Schmuck.
The Reindeer reverses and heads off towards the pit release. The tyre gets a sharp shove and the pit starts to go down€¦ The Reindeer drives forwards towards the open pit and opens up its claws. Automatic Schmuck quickly gets one of its cheep shots in on the front of The Reindeer and both robots are propelled away like repelling magnets! Automatic Schmuck hovers over the corner of the pit while The Reindeer is blasted back into last year.
Automatic Schmuck comes around the pit and heads for The Reindeer, which isn€™t responding! Both robots are again flung across the arena, The Reindeer is certainly still alive and runs for its life while Automatic Schmuck re-gains control and revs up the bar once more.
Automatic Schmuck goes around the pit, but The Reindeer goes the opposite direction. Schmucky isn€™t in the mood for games and drives into the pit release, smashing it to pieces! The pit goes back up and Automatic Schmuck flies across the arena and smashes into The Reindeer who was caught half asleep!
Again both robots are flung around the ring in opposite directions, and despite repeated attacks from Automatic Schmuck; The Reindeer is still very much active. The Reindeer is first to recover this time and now it€™s his turn to fly across the ring, getting Automatic Schmuck perfectly between the claws and smashing it into the arena wall. The bar starts spinning round again and clonks The Reindeer, definitely not as powerful as before. The Reindeer reverses and slams in again, and reverses again but Automatic Schmuck turns to the side leaving The Reindeer slamming into the wall. Automatic Schmuck turns around and hits The Reindeer with the bar again.
The Reindeer backs away for a breather while Automatic Schmuck gets the bar back up to speed. The Reindeer goes back to open the pit, and Automatic Schmuck goes back in on the attack! A huge shower of yellow sparks erupt on contact and Automatic Schmuck is sent spinning away while The Reindeer just stands like a brick wall! The Reindeer goes for another long ram and slams Automatic Schmuck, who has definitely been tested more than it€™s previous two encounters this series. The Reindeer keepings ramming in and out like a piston! Automatic Schmuck breaks away and spins up the bar while running away round the back of the pit. The bar is getting to a frightening speed and it is making a huge whirring sound. The Reindeer approaches with caution, and Automatic Schmuck bursts forwards and unleashes the power! There is a clattering sound booming around the arena and both robots are lost in another cloud of sparks as both robots make contact and are shifted across the ring again. 10 seconds are left on the clock€¦
10€¦9€¦8€¦
Both robots recover from the attack
7€¦6€¦5€¦
Automatic Schmuck heads for another onslaught
4€¦3€¦2€¦
Automatic Schmuck gets its last attack in right at the end!
CEASE!
Well, that is it. The judges will have to be called to make a decision for a second time this series. Who will be the winner? (Thanks again to Steve for letting me use his system)
Judges Decision
The Reindeer
Damage: 2/5 x 3 = 6
Aggression: 5/5 x 2.5 = 12.5
Strategy: 4/5 x 2 = 8
Control: 4/5 x 1.5 = 6
Style: 4/5 x 1 = 4
Total: 6 + 12.5 + 8 + 6 + 4 = 36.5/50
Automatic Schmuck
Damage: 3/5 x 3 = 9
Aggression: 5/5 x 2.5 = 12.5
Strategy: 4/5 x 2 = 8
Control: 4/5 x 1.5 = 6
Style: 4/5 x 1 = 4
Total: 9 + 12.5 + 8 + 6 + 4 = 39.5/50
And there we have it; if my dodgy calculations are correct Automatic Schmuck wins a 39.5 - 36.5 win on damage.
Automatic Schmuck wins the AJWars Christmas Rumble 2004! Congratulations Tom Roper!
