i tell you what, i spent the day with the geronimo crew today at blackpool, for round 1

And everyone had so much fun. I cant wait for next week.

The two beach digging machines had power lights..... They were called head lights... one was a rover 214, and the other was a Mercedes. :)

Perspective is everything dear ones. We endeavour to treat life as a rolling coaster: a lot of downs but also a lot of ups and in between the screams of delight or horror. Never taking anything too seriously so we wont be disappointed by whatever fate throws at us. Usually we try to duck though.
Anyways... if life hands you a lemon, break out the salt and the tequila ! Ever seen roboteers who celebrate the whacking their robot gets ? Leo (Splinter) did last summer. Sometimes you need that. Everything is relative, even when you see £ 1000 going through the drain.

Jonno, lets not forget this thread entirely, we would like to know the goings on each week.

We should all try to look at this in the best interests of our sport/hobby - once again some people at the BBC are showing an interest in engineering challenges. Rather than worrying about the details we should be going flat out to support them. Im building an entry despite the shockingly short notice. Lets all support this endavour and hope it grows into a regular feature.

Im looking forward to this weekends competition, I cant wait to see what evil I have unleashed onto the football pitch *insert smilie with horns here*

Geronimo will be on BBC 2 in the time slot formerly used by Technogames, starting Monday, Jan 17 at 6:30, running from Monday to Thursday and then again the next week. Former Robotwars contestants and Technogamers are among those taking part.

Would be nice to have some footage of the show online. I havent got any equipment to film the show on digital, anyone thinking of doing that? Shouldnt get on the wrong side of any copyright laws I hope

I saw it yesturday, makes the program look very interesting. Ill be watching the first one at least and you never know I might end up watching them all.

It was different. In a good way. Maybe needs a bit more i dont know, something missing on the show, but its good, and can see it getting better.

We should see our roobteers on 19th / 20th.

I think the animation could do with abit of a touch-up but its a great show. Maybe technogames style commentry during the rounds would help...

The programme was plagued by many last-minute drop-outs during its production so they had to cut back on the length of the rounds etc.

Cant wait till wednesday, bring on the Beckhams!

I ended up missing the first show :sad: cos we were playing a gig!:) Has anyone recorded the first episode who can put it onto computer and send me it or put a link to it on here?

I have the show on my computer.
It will just about Fit on a CD.
Its 512mb in size when put into VCD format.
Or 915mb un-compressed format.
