The first one is a large CO2 powered lifting arm, running off a 80mm ram at a pressure of 750psi. It has a hook shaped arm on the end, which is designed to pull up and puncture wheels, whilst lifting at the same time, and also to enable it to penetrate skirts. This ought to lift around 268kg around 40cm into the air at maximum. The other weapon that can be chosen is a double-headed horizontal axe shaped like that of Terrorhurtz, which will spin around on the turret, enabling him to do both damage by spinning and hammering. This should be enough to cut thin titanium, and dent the thicker sheets. The turret is powered by a LEM 130 geared at 4:3 giving good speed it spins at around 2000rpm and reaches it in around 3-4seconds

Seems I cant reserve places, can someone please tell me why, Ive got to be honest, I dont know why. Ive always got stats in for every tournament Ive wished to enter...
If you want a rough guide to my enteries:
FW - Overdrive (please dont BIIBI it, I am trying to build it :proud:)
LW - Possibly Gridlock EVO
MW - Slizer, if I cant get anything better done
HW - SOR, ForcePower, Psyclone, Wedga for now, will probably change
Ill get all my stats up as soon as I can, if Im allowed... :P

NSBFL 7
Featherweights:
Name: OverDrive
Shape: A very low to the ground box shape with a front wedge
Weight: Approximately 12kg
Dimensions: 450mm x 400mm x 65mm
Speed: Will travel at around 12mph
Turning Circle: Should be able to turn on the spot
Ground Clearance: Around 10mm under the body
Armour: The front wedge is made of 3mm thick Grade 2 Titanium, the top and bottom of 5mm thick Polycarbonate and the sides and back 3mm Aluminum.
Motivation: Driven by four 12v Cordless drills, driving four 85mm diameter Vulcolan treaded wheels. This is driven by a 3000mAh NiCad pack run on 12v. The speed controlling is done by an IBC controller.
Weapons: None, apart from the front wedge and awesome pushing power.
SRIMECH: It runs invertible, however the wedge does not. The IBC automatically re-reverses the controls when inverted, how handy!
Strengths: Can push all the Feathers around fairly easily.
Weaknesses: Wedge won€™t work when inverted, high ground clearence.
Lightweights:
Gridlock
Shape: Basically just a low domed body shell with a flat rim around the circumference at the bottom
Motivation: It uses two inner 95mm diameter red wheels with a rubber grip
Weight: Approximately 25kg
Ground Clearance: 10mm under the bottom rim
Weapon: It€™s a full body spinner; the whole shell spins around and cuts into people using two 1kg steel teeth. The body is spun around using a Briggs and Stratton 12v Starter Motor producing around 4HP with a spin up time under 5 seconds
SRIMECH: It uses a Ziggo style bar
Drive: It uses two Astroflight motors, giving a top speed of around 12mph, to power the motors it uses a 24v 3000mAh NiCD Pack
Turning Circle: It uses tank style steering to turn on the spot with the two wheels
Armour: 8mm steel body shell, but unless the body is stopped not much should damage it
Strength: Powerful spinning weapon, quite quick
Weakness: High ground clearance, dodgy SRIMECH
Middleweights:

MOVEMENT- it uses 6 inner storm 2 wheels
DRIVE- it uses 2 x lem 130€™s
BATTERIES- 4 x 30 cell 36volt 3ah Sanyo NiCad packs
WEAPONS- as I said it has an outer spinning ring so is a fbs the ring is powered by a C40-500 Magmotor, the points on the star each have sharpened teeth on them and it spins in a clockwise direction, each point has 3 teeth on it, one on the bottom for tearing at skirts in wheels, one in the middle for body work and that, and one at the top for aerials and tall robots and also used for bottom teeth when flipped
SRIMECH- Invertible, points and blades stop it from sticking on side
NOTES- according to frank the name is rude, first star shaped robot
STRENGTHS- Powerful weapon and drive
WEAKNESSES- it€™s a bit random
shall replace hbpp

actually just stick some real bots in for the feather and lgiht categories.
I will try and ammend achilles in the next hour, and could anyone who knows give a link to those middle weight blizzard stats.

Yes, as I think Anarchy system counts as shuffling, anyone using it doesnt get the 50% bonus. Apart from that, everything entered looks OK.
Andy, while youre not as bad as Scott in that regards, you still have a habit of forgetting to enter sometimes. Therere still spaces open, so its no problem though.
-
NSBFL 7
Its usually me waiting to see the rest of the competition entering before I plan my team, but I see what you mean. If all my enteries are OK I guess Im safe anyway.
-
NSBFL 7
ok achilles: couple of inches shorter, armour is now 6mm ABC, if i havent already mentioned it on the stats the weight saved from the hook durign the phuematic setup is used for a t-shaped bar for self rightign to save on gas. Wheels are 50% wider but 10% shorter for extra traction.
The robot also sues the same motors as baldur if it doesnt already, i cant remember. Skirts are 4mm hardox. claw is slightly larger. Think thats it.
-
NSBFL 7
The stats for Orka MK3 (I decided to stick with MK3 until it loses VFT), DCI and CF2 will be up soon, but Id rather get Crush 2 up now. If any of my robots are going to get a BIIBI, its Crush.
Anyways...
Name-Crush 2
Weight-100 kilos
Shape-Wedge with rounded top.
Speed-9 mph
TC-0
GC-4mm (I know, suicide)
Armour-3mm Hardox
Power-3x 12v batteries
Wheels-2 small inner
Weapons-Giant Crushing Arm, shaped like ROCS, but with the power of Razer, if that gives you a clue. It comes down at about 8 tons PSI. Roughly. The claw is connected to a lifter, able to lift its own weight
Srimech-A single, Mantis like Roll-bar rolls the robot back over. The shape and lifter take over should said bar get bent.
Other notes-Because of the weight, This robot is relativly small compared to some of the others. 600 holes have been drilled in the robots claw, lifter and parts of the body to keep the weight down. The robot doesnt even have a base panel!
Strengths-Armour and Weapon
Weaknessess-Lack of power and speed.
I hope thats OK.
-
NSBFL 7

Will resist temptation to say something...
-
NSBFL 7
Two problems with Crush, both easily fixed.
1) 3 mm Hardox doesnt exist. The thinnest I believe you can get that stuff is 3.25 MMs.
2) With the 8 tonnes PSI, youre mixing terms. Hydraulics are allowed at a maximum of 3000 PSI, and produce a downforce in the tonnes area depending on what sort of preasure youre using, and what sort of leverage youve got... Thats as much as I understand about hydraulics anyway:proud: This isnt a big problem, Ill just put it as 8 tonnes of downforce.
-
NSBFL 7
GC-4mm (I know, suicide)
Yes, why not make it higher then? :)
You have also not stated power sources for drive (motors) and your weapon. And as for the baseplate, can you please tell me how everything is mounted?! :proud: (cant stop laughing to himself but doesnt know why)
*Note: This is not a rant, or a moan, or insults it is part of I feel like improving Chris vapourbots today.org*

NSBFL 7
AJ, leave me alone! Every other stupid tournament Ive entered has just had me having to enter a robot and what it has and THATS IT!
I mean, Diotoir moves perfectly fine with the batteries given (same) thank you very much. It always says 3x 12v batteries. Besides, that info wasnt mentioned in the stats, so it just has power.
And AJ, how come you complain about Crush 2 not having a base panel, but not Kronic 2. After all, IT had no base panel in S6, and ITS components stayed inside it.
Leave me alone, Im having a terrible time here, what with bullies at college, and the death of my Grandfather and everything.
-
NSBFL 7
Ewe 2 in series 7 and Ruff Ruff Dougal in series 5/6 didnt have a base panel either, and you didnt give me the same grief about My Grain which also didnt have a base panel. In cases like those, innards are mounted to the chasis. You can actually see that when Gemini flipped up Dougal.
I also said in the rules you dont have to state what powers your weapon. It helps, but you dont need to state it, and lose any right to complain if I decide it burns out :P
-
NSBFL 7
Urgh, sorry...
Just one thing, stats in books and on TV are totally different from the ones you have to produce for FanFic tourneys. IMO this game is all about the stats, the better the more chance you have of winning. Just because it says Diotior runs on 3x 12v batteries it doesnt mean thats the only thing that drives it.
Sorry about the baseplate stuff, but giving me examples does not explain how it is done.
I quote once more:
*Note: This is not a rant, or a moan, or insults it is part of I feel like improving Chris vapourbots today.org*
I have just been through the worst two weeks of my life... I apologise about your grandfather I have just been through a similar situation over the said two weeks.

ORKA MK3
Weight-95kilos
Shape-Box
RML-Panzer MK3
Speed-12mph
Locomotion-6 inner-solid tyres
GC-2mm, with 0 at scoop
Armour-6mm titanium
Weapons-Electric lifting shovel at front, could lift a bus,
Srimech-A top mounted dorsal fin rights the robot either way up.
Strengths-Cant run out of CO2
Weaknessess-Hard to turn
DIE CERATOPS INVERTUS
Weight-100 kilos
Shape-Box with moveable nose cone
Dimentions-1.3m x 0.78m x 0.28m
Speed-18mph
Locomotion-4 inner, solid tyred
GC-2mm, 0mm at flipper
Armour-6mm titanium
Weapons-Invertable flipper, like St Agro, or Rick. It can flip 300 kilos. The nose cone is moveable so the flipper can still work upside down.
Srimech-Robot runs inverted. See above for flipper working upside down. Bars prevent side stranding.
Strengths-Ability to work upside down and STILL be able to use its weapon
Weaknessess-Control
Name-Cyclone Force 2
Weight-100 kilos
Body Shape-Once again, Storm 2 type box, with skirts
Speed-25mph
Armour-3mm Polycarbonate
Power-A couple of LEM 130s
TC-0
GC-Variable at front depending on set-up, 0 at side due to skirts, 1mm at back.
Weapons-Unlike last time, this robot has not one, not two, but THREE weapon set-ups.
1-STORM 2 SET-UP-The robot has a front wedge and a Storm 2 type lifting arm, able to lift the same as Storm 2 (about 100 kilos proven, possibly 150). The front GC is 0mm in this set-up. THIS SET-UP DOES NOT WORK UPSIDE-DOWN!
2-KAN OPENER SET-UP-Here, the robot has a pair of Horizontal Crushing arms, like Kan Opener, crushing at about 8 tons PSI. It should pierce anything up to what Razer can pierce. GC at front is 1mm. This set-up works upside down.
3-DISC-O-INFERNO SET-UP-Here, the robot has a horizontal flywheel, spinning at about 1000rpm. To get an idea of what it can damage, think back to Disc-O-Inferno back in Series 6, and the Extreme Annihilator. GC is 1mm at front, but thats the least of its worryies. Again, this set-up is invertable.
Srimech-The robot is invertable. Set-ups 2 and 3 work upside down.
Strengths-Raw Power
Weaknessess-Hard to control, Set-up 1 does not work upside down, I hate making decitions!
-
NSBFL 7
By the way, if you have any problems with any of these, you need to consult Dave S. He actually helped me fine-tune Cyclone Force 2.
-
NSBFL 7
I need the turning circle for Orka and DCI
-
NSBFL 7
Its 0. Most of my robots are. I hate having wide turning circles.
-
NSBFL 7
Thats fair enough, but I dont like having to guess with stats as 9/10 Ill guess wrong:lame:
-
NSBFL 7
There are 14 people entered, so I need another two. Any takers?
Mat R, you still have two BIIBId robots (Ankle Biter and Deep Impact IIRC)
Chris M you have one BIIBId robot (Crush 2)
Nick, so far you only have Parasite entered, but I still have the stats for ABR. Do you want to enter that as well?
Also, does anyone want a list of real robots Ive found they can use?
-
NSBFL 7
Is this concerning the things you mentioned earlier. Because...
1-4mm Hardox
2-8 tons of downward force when it comes in for the kill.
Anything else?
-
NSBFL 7
-
NSBFL 7
Is there anybody out there still the enter?
-
NSBFL 7
]]]]Nick, so far you only have Parasite entered, but I still have the stats for ABR. Do you want to enter that as well? [[[[
The stats for ABR are different now anyway. Ill finish rendering the damn thing and Ill put it up for you. (So yes, it is entering).
Ive changed my mind about Parasite though. Id like to replace it with VGer.
VGer stats:
mass:
Stainless Steel Frame - 20.43866 (1 cm thick predominantly, 2cm on the underbelly and parts of the lifting fork.)
Titanium Armor - 26.14416 (top - .764 cm, bottom - .508 cm)
Wheels - included in the Ti Armor estimate, .635 cm thick, solid, rubber treads
S28-400 magmotors x 2 - 6.182
S28-300 magmotor - 2.500
Flywheel - ~10.000 kg, mostly in the teeth.
Maxtor controller - ~1.000 kg
EV Warrior - 1.472 kg
Husqvarna 3120XP - 10.409
NiMh 24v Battlepacks x 3 - 3.6
TOTAL - 81.746 KG
Weapon - Circular flywheel, 8.4 hp (6.2 kW), spins at 1:2 reduction for 5000 rpm. If Aarons desperate for a kJ estimate, I can give him one. Its pretty modest though. I was aiming for a weapon that wouldnt break after one hit, like many others in the tournament probably should.
Frame - Stainless 400 Steel
Armor - Titanium (thickness on the mass chart)
Srimech - Lifting plate can self-right the robot in any position in 1-2 flips. NOT INVERTIBLE. Expect a motion diagram of the robot self-righting on my avatar soon.
Wheels - 15 mph, like 90% of the other robots youll ever see. 2 S24 mags power it at 24 volts. 60-amp continuous cell discharge, which is pretty good for single packs weighing only 1.2 kg each.
Clearance - HUGE. 6.985 cm mostly, although the wheels and the rear wedge make full contact with the ground obviously.
Strengths -
--Internal Combustion Engine has an EV Warrior starter motor, in case it stalls during a fight.
--Powerful flywheel with adjustible height. Rides at 5.04 cm when level, minimum height - 3.81 cm, maximum height - 6.34, doesnt matter too much though.
--Lifter can LIFT any ~100 kg robot, and can flip some opponents, depending on the angle I get, and the distribution of their weight.
--Theres enough extra weight (15 kg worth) for (1) a robot trap that lengthens the rear lifter significantly (2) ablative 2024 ali armor (which either covers the wheels or the robots top), or (3), replacing the flywheel, a stainless steel scoop for the front, which Ill likely never need *glares at Aaron*
Weaknesses -
--Not a good pushybot.
--Certain spinner designs will probably be able to stop it no matter what (Im thinking cage spinners on this one).
--Top Heavy to a large extent, though its wide enough and distributed enough to not affect turning or driving, itll usually land upside-down if flipped.
And once ABR is done (sheesh, the thing is the hardest thing Ive ever rendered), Ill fit it on the profile with its teammate.
-
NSBFL 7
Hang abouts... You ARE aware the limit has gone up to 4 robots, right?
-
NSBFL 7
Id also like to announce it looks like my Internet is fixed. *crash*
-
NSBFL 7
The grand list of entrents:
Alex - All heavies and Blizzard are fine. I dont think Blizzard qualifies for a weight limit. For the real FW and LW, do you want me to find some random ones or do you want to find some yourself?
Andy - Everythings good. Theres enough info on Blazer, so its in.
Chris C - Heavies are fine, but you havent entered any other weights. Same deal with Alex, do you want to make/find your own, or just let me chose some?
Chris M - All clear.
Dan - All good.
Dave S - Also all good.
Martyn - Heavies are wooty, but you havent entered any other weights. Same deal as with Alex and Chris C.
Matt R - Sorry but Ive found that El Persistance is also BIIBId along with Ankle Biter and Deep Impact. If youre reading, youre running out of time to fix these.
Nick - VGer is in, and Ive found I no longer have Parasites stats anyway for some reason. I know youve been having trouble with lose work recently, so no preassure. Do you want some real machines entered?
Richard - All fine here.
Scott - Still plenty of time for Evil Scotsman and Max.
Steve - Full of Scottish Woot.
Matty H - Talking to him right now and his entries are coming.
