Shunt vs Sir Killalot vs Sgt Bash vs Mr Psycho
Tactics and Predictions please.
Alex, wanna gang up, its a 10kg disc, which is well over-estimated against a flipper, that according to his measurements, would actually flip 824kg 39cm into the air, which is lower than the height of the fence. Between us, we should be able to cut, spin, scoop and axe it.
As for the other fight, Marabunta to go out.
Heat 2
Return of Road Block to go out.
Ill be going for Slaying Mantis, Tom, wanna gang up? The crusher is vulnerable from the rear, and the chances of them getting close enough to shred us with a spin up speed of 6.5 seconds is unlikely. If Crusha can hold them, then well bash them into very very big submission
Heat 3
Chameleon and El Persistance out
Heat 4
Barbaric response out.
Well go after Indistructable, shunting it aorund, and using our flipper to fire it 3 feet up and under
Heat 5
JTS to go out
BB out
Heat 6
Dave, want to gang up on Killy? It shouldnt withstand the drum for long and the axe wont do much
Steve, wanna team up? Get rid of the Ripper so my wheels survive to fight Dave again! (Hopefully!)
Heat 7
Jamster out
Steve, Tornado? You should be able to hit it, whilst we shove, flip and crush it around the arena.
Heat 8
Destruction Out
Deep Impact Out
Sumo
Windiest Killer will grab Jakomoko with the pincers, pushing him of the edge.
Hypertension will flip him out!
RPS XPN1 will try and get Jakomoko embedded on the screws, beofre shunting him of the edge with help from the axe.
Anhihlator
Well go after Montys Pass, the flipper being innefective, and us trying to rip and bend the flipper
TTT
Dave, can I suggest you take DD and Ill take on Ankle Biter seeing as the disc wont work and the flipper will be innefectual against an axlebot
HRR
Well take Fluffitor on, flipping it over and thowing it OOTA
SS
Growler to beat Psycho and Bash on a judges decision
Looks like a good draw, I just hope you do it justice! :) Good luck and I hope that this is all as well organised as it is at the moment :) And Matt M, dont even bother ruining this thread as well.
Heat 1
Ankle Biter vs RPS XPN1 vs Angel of the Abyss
Go for RPS XPN1 and either disc it of flip it. Avoid AOTA at all costs!
Heat 2
Hurricane vs Storm 2 vs Return of Roadblock
(Fancy teaming up Dave against the real bot?)
Heat 3
El Persistance vs Tengu 6 vs Montys Pass
El Persistance will go for Montys Pass and shove him around into the wall and into Tengus weaponry (want to team up Alex?)
Heat 5
WAFT(sw) vs Jack the Slammer vs Ramthrax
Go for whoever is nearest and thrash them with the axe.
Heat 8
Disco Dancer vs. Destruction vs Wedgie 3rd
Disco Dancer will take advantage of Destructions weak armour and chew him up with the disc. Hopefully avoid Wedgie 3rd (any chance of teaming up Dave?)
Phoenix from the Flame 2 vs Deep Impact vs TB87
Deep Impact will go for Phoenix from the Flame and trash it as much as possible
SUMO
El Persistance vs Jakamoko 2
El Persistance should push it around all day!
ANNIHILATOR

Ankle Biter will team up with Ripper Roo and go for Montys Pass.
TAG TEAM TERROR

Disco Dancer will go for The Wedge and trash it up as much as possible and Ankle Biter will go for TaoLin 2 (flip it as high in the air as I can!)
HOUSE ROBOT REBELLION
Wedge Devolution, Deep Impact, T.O.C 2 and Slaying Mantis E vs Cholera, Irritator, Smudge Revamped and Fluffitor 3n a lil bit more
Deep Impact will go for Cholera and disc it around a bit.
HEAT A
Ankle Biter vs RPS XPN1 vs Angel of the Abyss
Marabunta vs WEDGE DEVOLUTION vs NJACC 2.2
Here, Ill just use the normal flipper blade and get around the sides of Marabunta. One flip and the weapons are useless. One more flip and its out the ring for you :proud: Same goes for NJACC if it gets in the way
HEAT WINNER: The Angel to slice RPS in the Final
Other tactics when the Heats get nearer.
Marabunta vs Wedge Devolution vs NJACC 2.2
Ill go for Marabunta as well, Flip into pit or hit with flywheel

OW! Oh crap, I fell asleep! Oh well! :proud:
Matt, its no longer funny. If I did that to YOUR tournies you wouldnt like it. The gags funny, now stop it. Please.
Okay, Ill stop with your tournies, but you have to admit its a little funny. :)
Tactics
Heat 1
Marabunta (me) vs Wedge Devolution vs NJACC 2.2
Ill stay away from the front of these machines as they have powerful flippers, so Ill slam em about till 1 of them dies.
Heat 2
Ripper Roo vs Slaying Mantis E vs Crusha (me)
Ill grapple hold of Slaying Mantis & team up with Ripper Roo, get the pit open & well, can you work out my tactics from that?
Heat 3
El Persistance vs Tengu 6 vs Montys Pass (me)
If possible, Ill team up with Tengu 6, if we do team up, Ill just get rid of El Persistance by chucking it out of the arena
Heat 4
Hypertension MK2 vs Indisctructable (me) vs Eagle
Ill team up with Eagle to beat Hypertension MK2.
Heat 7
Slammer 4 vs Jamster vs Impact Weapon (me)
Ill help Jamster by helping him defeat Slammer 4 by putting it against the arena wall & out.
Heat 8
Phoenix from the Flame 2 vs Deep Impact vs TB87 (me)
Ill get the blade up to top speed & batter whoever gives me the most problems.
Tactics on the other events later.
Daves tactics.
HEAT 2
Hurricane (me) vs Storm 2 vs Return of Roadblock
I like Storm 2, I can out-push Storm 2 (Tanto vs Storm 2, 1 live event). Idea will be to out-turn the world champion, as it isnt the best to control or turn, and get it from the sides, once underneath with the wedge, ram towards pit. Storm 2 is a great robot, so I wont mind going out against it.
Heat 3 -
Chameleon vs ALVD(me) vs Big Nipper
Steve, want to gang up on Big Nipper. Aim to hit it once the disc has spun up and flip it around, if I hit the sides, I will hopefully bent the armour in and jam up the wheels, then let the interchangleable Chameleon finish one of my favourite robots.
HEAT 4
Hole in the Armour vs Chalkie (me) vs Barbaric Response
I am lower than Hole in the Armours weapon, tactic will be to ram underneath that 3 cm ground clearance and lift it onto the 80 cm high sides, allowing Barbaric Response to come in and flip the lightweight out of the arena.
HEAT 5
WAFT (me) vs Jack the Slammer vs Ramthrax
Chris, can you just call it WAFT, thanks. Aim to get around the sides of Jack the Slammer and crush into the body, Ramthrax is Hardox, so I cant do anything to it, with this pressure.
HEAT 6
TaoLin 3 vs Killotine EVO vs The Wedge (me)
I have a feeling that TaoLin 3 will knock itself out if it hits something strong like Killy. Its width means that turning will be a nightmare for it, allowing me with the wheel guards, and the solid spiked indoor go-kart wheels. I will drive into the drum, scooping underneath it and flip it upwards with the backward hinged flipper. Steve want to gang up?
HEAT 8
Disco Dancer vs Destruction vs Wedgie 3d (me)
1 - Destruction cant move with 0 ground clearance
2 - Skirts as sri-mechs?
3 - Ram into the front, with the flipper extension, getting underneath the rear skirt, and flip it, looking at the stats, it has a high centre of gravity. Why the rear, the disc will be pushing down onto me, meaning no damage, but Destruction will lift up, allowing a quick flip in and onto the sides it goes, skirts cant self-right, and if it tries to self right, Matt will ram in and destroy the weak armoured robot.
Sumo -
Once underneath the front scoop, ram out of the ring.
ANNIHILATOR -
I will in general try to stay out of the main fighting until I need too. This allows me to pick off Montys Pass and ram it sideways into the side wall, getting underneath and slicing the tyres with my annoying flail and pitting it.
Tag Team -
Wheel Guards, Forward hindged flipper, Solid indoor go-kart wheels. Matt, I will go out first and seeing as Disco Dancer is fast, it will find it hard to turn, allowing the slower, more accelerating robot in to ram it sideways flipping it out of the arena.
Ok everybody, good news. Assuming I dont keel over and die, I will be able to start this tomorrow.
First things first, Im not feeling very well today. But I promised you Id start this today, and I will.
WELCOME TO DINOWARRIOR DESTRUCTION!
This is the new breed of tournament. The robots here are allowed to be more destructive and more brutal than EVER before. Why? Because I dont mind these sorts of things, thats why!
Anyways, LET THE WARS BEGIN!
We have 2 melees, with 3 robots in. Here is the first one.
First robot into the ring is Ankle Biter. This low black and purple wedge is here to make his mark on the opposition. Its weapons are a flipping arm and a 10 kilo spinning disc. It has a problem with traction though
Next is RPS XPN1, a mutant nightmare of a monster. This Mega Morg shaped robot has a scoop, axe and a scissors weapon, all for maximum destruction. It has hard armour, but again, limited traction.
And finally in the ring is the crazy Angel of the Abyss. Circular in shape, this walking robot is your classic full bodied spinner, with teeth, complete with srimech. It has terrible pushing power though.
As per usual we have two House Robots per fight.
House Robots are Dreadlocks Revenge and Cholera
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
And the first EVER battle of the Dinowarrior Destruction tournament is off and underway. Angel of the Abyss starts spinning immediatly. Its double layered, each rim spins at a different speed. Elsewhere, Ankle Biter is taking on RPS. Is that wise I ask myself? NO, ITS NOT! As straight away, RPS gives Ankle Biter an enourmous WHACK with its axe. It can get a dent in hard titanium, what can it NOT do to the aluminium alloy shell I ask. Well, its making a massive scar or two. In comes AotA, moving in towards Ankle Biter...OUCH! TEARING INTO THE FLESH OF ANKLE BITER! MASSIVE MARKS ARE COVERING ANKLE BITER! In comes RPS, pushing Ankle Biter towards the CPZ, waiting there is Cholera. What a deadly robot to come up against, as the blue Big Nipper clone picks up the struggling Ankle Biter. Meanwhile, AotA has pressed the pit release button (pressed? He tore it off!) and Cholera brings Ankle Biter back towards the centre of the ring. Finally, RPS pushes Ankle Biter forwards...into the pit.
RPS AND ANGEL OF THE ABYSS GO THROUGH
Ill probably be able to write one or two battles per day, but I do have a lot of exams coming up. Rest assured, they will get done.
1 down, but still 5 to go.
Yeah! Woohoo! Nice fight Chris, I sense a turn of luck in my fortunes!
I hope this shows my determination, I am still not very well. I could have given up on this...but NO! I REFUSE!!!
First Robot to enter the ring is the current Fantasy Robotica champion, the one and only Marabunta. A lot has changed since FR came, and Marabunta now has a nasty Storm 2 style lifter. In fact, its totally based on Storm 2, but its weapon cant work upside down.
Next is a Vapourbot Wars Veteran, Wedge Devolution. Based on Chaos 2, this scottish entry has a powerful rear-hindged flipper with skirts and bars to prevent self-flips and strandings. This has to be the favourite for this heat, and the only weakness I can see is limited CO2 supply.
Finally is NJACC 2.2 (Not Just A Cassius Clone), which pretty much says it all. This wedge shape has a Cassius type flipper, but also has a rear flywheel. It looks strong, but with a 1 centimetre rear ground clearance, it could be vulnerable.
Our House Robots are Irritator and Jakamoko 2
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
Wedge Devolution, my favourite for this heat, moving straight for Marabunta. I heard Steven saying that he will go for Marabunta, but Marabunta staying away from trouble. Pushing Wedge Devolution now is Marabunta, not easy with all the skirts. In goes NJACC 2.2, who lost to Marabunta in the final of FR, wanting revenge. Wedge Devolution comes side on to Marabunta and FLIPS! Marabunta is now suspect, riding up NJACC, who flips it back over...now WHY did you do THAT? Marabunta could have been beaten there. Now Marabunta rams NJACC into the rail, lifts it up against said rail. In comes Wedge Devolution, as NJACC gets back upright...OH, BUT IS FLIPPED STRAIGHT OUT BY WEDGE DEVOLUTION! I said right at the beginning that that rear ground clearance was way too suspect, and NJACC paid the price...death! Its all over...OH, Wedge Devolution is taking on Jakamoko 2! What on earth are they doing! Wedge Devolution almost flips Jakamoko 2, but swinging that axe he stays upright. Marabunta takes a blow from Jakamoko 2, you shouldnt have got in the way. Irritator and Crash Bandi-bot come in to seperate the robots. Irritator pries Wedge Devolution away and Crash Bandi-bots eye glows yellow, a yellow card for Wedge Devolution
CEASE!
MARABUNTA AND WEDGE DEVOLUTION GO THROUGH!
Here is the draw for the second round
Marabunta vs Angel of the Abyss
RPS XPN1 vs Wedge Devolution
And SD IV takes on Jakamoko 2 in the Sumo.
Time to pay for Wedges VFT demise, Mr Fowler :proud:
In this fight, I am the faster, so Ill use my greater speed to get around the sides and rear of RPS and will simply chuck it round the ring with the normal blade: hopefully getting another OOTA.
As for the Terrorhurtz axe on board my foe...well, Wedge Devo is coated in 4mm Hardox and the real THz can barely dint that according to Aaron, so I fail to see what RPSs similar hammer can do :proud:
...and how did you know I wanted to kill the House Bots, Chris?
Keep the front facing. If we can then they cant flip us thenthey cant beat us and the scoop will get underneath. The scissors at the back should be able to grab as well and the axe will probably just about cut through though not do damage to any internals.
OOH!! What to do? A full-body spinner, boy do I hate them & this 1, erm, tactics, Ill just make a attempt to flip it over but itll probably be able to right itself, if it does, then just ram it into the house robots.
BTW, stats for Montys Pass have been edited with mistakes sussed, it actually has 18hp of shove.
Tom, 2 LEMS at 36V produces 4.4BHp at 48V produces 6.6
OK, thanks
Welcome back all you budding DD fans (I was close). In a moment well have the second round when Marabunta takes on Angel of the Abyss and Wedge Devolution battles RPS.
But first, lets have a little game. Or rather, a big game. Because to win at Sumo, you need to be big, strong, and heavy enough for talking scales to say One at a Time, Please.
The rules are very simple. What our robots have to do is stay in the sumo ring as long as possible. The ring has raised edges with gaps, so a robot can only be pushed out through those gaps (like Techno Games). But beware, their oppodent is Jakamoko 2. And he doesnt take kindly to robots.
LET THE TRIALS BEGIN.
The first competitor to have a go with Jakamoko is SD IV. This robot, partly based on Tornado, is all about push. The skirts will be handy for preventing Jakamoko from getting underneath. Its cutting saw, a very dangerous weapon, has been removed because, after all, this is all about pushing. Its scoops should make up for that though.
ROBOTEERS, STAND BY.
The time limit, BTW, is one minute
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
Sumo is really less damaging than other trials because its pushing, not destroying, thats why Im doing this. Anyway, SDIV is moving to the side of Jakamoko 2, pushing on the side...OH, but it just knocks it against a rail. The armadillo shaped robot gets away, and comes front on front with SDIV. OH, STRAIGHT UP THE SCOOP! Oh, sorry, didnt I tell you that the scoop of Jakamoko gives it 0 ground clearance up front? Didnt I tell you that its ultra thin and thus really low? HAH HAH! TOO LATE NOW! SDIV is in trouble...oh, no its not. Its pushing back with incredible power! And its a stalemate. Neither robot is getting the upper hand.
CEASE!
AND THE SUMO ROUND IS OVER. SD IV HAS SURVIVED THE FULL MINUTE!
Welcome back to Dinowarrior Destruction. Whos up for round 2?
*Silence, bar the chirping of crickets*
Round 2 of killing robots?
*Even the crickets stop*
Well tough, its coming right now! LET THE SECOND ROUND BEGIN!
First back in the ring is the spinning Angel of the Abyss. He certainly proved himself as destructive in his first round battle, now lets see if he can go the distance.
And in comes his oppodent, Fantasy Robotica champion Marabunta. He looks strong and robust, but suffered a worry or two in his first battle. Can he do well here though?
ROBOTEERS STAND BY
In the arena for the House Robots are Leprosy Infection and Die-ro!
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
Angel of the Abyss starts spinning up to speed, Marabunta charges in quickly. He knows that AotA can spin up very quickly and that it is almost invincible when spinning at full throttle. He needs to finish it quickly. In comes Marabunta...OH, DEFLECTED AWAY BY ANGEL OF THE ABYSS! Is Marabunta damaged in any away? Counting internally? Well, it appears to be OK thus far, but it charges back towards Angel of the Abyss, spinning wildly. Up goes the arm...but it makes no difference! AotA deflects the blow AGAIN! Poor Marabunta. Now it is covered in scratches, and the arm doesnt appear to be working propably. Surely this is a case of when, not if? Surely its a question of survival now! Angel of the Abyss comes in...OH, ITS TORN SOMETHING OFF! A SIDE PANEL! NOT MUCH, BUT IT SHOWS THE DESTRUCTIVE FORCE OF ANGEL OF THE ABYSS! Marabunta cant do anything. It isnt doing anything. Its out. Surely. Crash Bandi-bot has a check. So to does Leprosy Infection. It spins its drum, as Crash Bandi-bot does the famous countdown to oblivion. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. AND THATS IT! Marabunta, the Fantasy Robotica champion, has gone out of the Dinowarrior Destruction. Leprosy Infection hits! OH, WHAT POWER! Poor Marabunta is knocked over, and paintwork is torn off. In comes Die-ro, with the flamethrower, scorching the underbelly. Using his wedge shape to push Marabunta onto the drop zone. Its a cooker. Down it comes. CRASH! THE COOKER SMASHES, MARABUNTA REMAINS INTACT, but it still goes out.
CEASE!
Angel of the Abyss goes through.
Oh well, my fears were justified, still 1 down, 5 vapourbots left.
Er... dont take this as an offence, because its purely a questioning statment, but wasnt this meant to take precedent over your seeds championship?
It is, but Ive hardly had time to do either or because of exams. I just did the seeds Championship because it was lower down the list.
Thankfully, Ive got a day off, so the next battle should be later today.
Ive got a week off college - lush.
Thank god for half-terms:)
Welcome back to Dinowarrior Destruction. Were ready for the next two robots to enter the ring
RPS vs Wedge Devolution
House robots are Smudge Revamped and the bad boy himself, the king of the DD House Robots, Fluffitor 3n a lil bit more.
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
And off they go! RPS surely MUST be the underdog going into this battle, as Wedge Devolution comes in, dodging the scoop and sliding under the side. I know RPS is low, but Wedge is lower still. The axe swings, but to no avail. Wedge drives RPS towards the wall...and flips! But RPS doesnt go out. It goes straight into Smudge Revampeds jaws! Thats worse, surely? Smudge Revamped drives RPS towards the other end of the arena, where Fluffitor 3n a lil bit more is waiting, with the drill on the arm, and something I didnt tell you about! (You thought I would let you get away THAT easily? HAH! Think again) Two shredder style discs, only bigger and faster. RPS is stranded between each disc, they can damage ANYTHING! Ive tested it on ANYTHING! It busted ANYTHING! Down comes the drill, making a nice hole. Poor RPS. It is pushed back by Fluffitor, where Wedge Devo is waiting...OH, AND WEDGE DEVOLUTION FLIPS RPS OUT OF THE ARENA! ITS OVER! Poor RPS never stood a chance.
CEASE!!!
And Wedge Devolution is the winner.
And here is the line-up for the final
ANGEL OF THE ABYSS VS WEDGE DEVOLUTION
The sooner these stupid exams are over the better. Im having to revise all day, and hardly any time to write battles.
Ill try to pull up one in here and the Seeds Championship this weekend.
Hmmm... massive bulk of exams starting on monday....
I SHOULD be revising all day yet strangly Im not.
Oh well.
Anyway heat final, spin into the wedge and bash it, if it doesnt die sooner or later from me doing that Im predicting itll win the tourny.
Sorry, but the battles are off. Something terrible has happened to my computer. Whenever I try to enter a program, I come up with an error message...then all the icons and the bar along the bottom (with START etc) disappears. I can still use the appliance, but otherwise it would be impossible to write battles and post them here.
Sorry bout this.
i would offer help but you have never been nice to me
Youve never LET me be nice to you. Just PLEASE give me guidence (The PLEASE is despiration, not anger).
Ok is it happing when you go into micrsoft word?
