The event has been canceled due to poor ticket sale. See the thread about the championships.
But a solution is in the making. We from Belgium and Holland already bought our ferry tickets and cannot get a refund, so we started calling a few people and they are now trying to get things done an maybe organise a little event.
Too bad. This new made me unhappy for sure. I hope youll manage to get something togeather, so we can come and have some fun anyway!
New Event Notice
Due to the generosity of John Findlay and Ed Hoppitt we can announce that the Roaming Robots arena will be at Billing Aquadrome, Northamptonshire for those of you that want to use your machines next week.
Place - Billing Aquadrome, Northampton, Northamptonshire. http://www.aquadrome.co.ukwww.aquadrome.co.uk - campsite with full facilities plus water sports, bar, go-karts close a Fun Fair, amusements, entertainment and places to eat - also close to Northampton for those who want to head into town for their fun !
A special field will be allocated to us, were there to enjoy the week and entertain some of the visitors to Billing as well !
Details.
30 robots per day can be accomodated for.
Preference will be given to our European cousins who have already bought their ferry tickets.
Camping is availiable from Monday Am 23/8 until Friday Am 27th.
Arena time will be Tuesday to Thursday. Again preference will be given to teams that attend the arena build party on Monday and the arena take down party on Friday Am.
As usual no spinning discs can be used on heavy weights.
To reserve your Place please use the new thread in live events.
We will use the forum to communicate with you.
Please do not chatter in the thread where you wish to reserve your place, create anothe sub thread, it will keep things clear

Jag mste f veta snarast (ikvll helst) OM ni ska med eller inte till det nya stllet.
Ska ni med s behvs inte s mycket gras frutom att kanske frska boka om hemresan till den 28:e istllet. D slipper vi massa dtid i England :).
Om ni INTE ska med s kommer det ju tyvrr med stor sannolikhet att kosta lite i alla fall p.g.a att avbokning kostar cirka 50-60 % av biljettpriset just nu. Vntar vi lngre s kommer det att kosta 100% vilket innebr att vi ju lika grna kan ka nd...ni sparar i och fr sig soppapengar i England. Det blir ju dock billigare procentuellt sett om man r fler i bilen och ven om ni inte har en frdig robot s fr ni skert massor med hjlp att stt ihop den p plats :).
Samt OM ni inte kommer s tnkte jag frska boka om den stora bilen till en lite mindre. Mer praktiskt med det.

Nu r vr hemresa ombokad till den 27:e. Vi kommer allts tillbaka till Gteborg kl. 17:30 p lrdag den 28:e.

Hej hopp!
Tillbaka frn England och vldigt njd :). Det kunde ha varit nnu bttre om vi ftt igng vrt vapen ocks (som skapade en hel del uppmrksammhet) men tiden och ngra smproblem var emot oss :sad:. Vi fick i alla fall till det s att vi kunde gra en testkrning med roboten inne i arenan (videosnutt p gng).
Resan dit var lng. Frst cirka 5 timmar bil till Gteborg sedan 25 timmar p bten och till sist cirka 4,5 timmar bilresa i England mellan Newcastle och Northampton. Att kra p vnster sida var lite pirrigt frn brjan men det gick ver rtt fort.
Ngra riktigt roliga kndisar var dr.
Kan Opener, Terrorhurtz, Bulldog Breed, Ewe 2 m. fl.
Massor med videomaterial finns att redigera (vilket r en av de strsta anledningarna att vi inte fick igng vr robot helt och hllet :proud: eftersom vi var noga med att se alla fighter.) och jag terkommer med info om det senare.
Allt som allt var det vldigt kul och det verkar som om krnan av robot wars (Eller Fighting Robots som det br heta nufrtiden d RW mer eller mindre har frsvunnit) kommer att kmpa p och leva kvar. Kanske inte p TV hela tiden men Live Events finns det massor av och mnga som r intresserade av att ka dit. Vi kommer till exempel garanterat att tervnda ngongng :).

Kul att ni hade trevligt och tyckte det var givande. Synd att FRA World Championship inte blev av, fr det hade ni verkligen gillat. Hoppas att ni fick mnga nya ider och en ordentligt vitamininjektion med er hem.
Vi borde kanske frskka organisera en gemensam svensk expedition till antingen England eller Europa om ret.
Vnstertrafiken r vl en sak, men lgg drtill alla rondellerna vilka r betydligt fler och strre n vad vi har hr hemma. Att trafiken dessutom kommer frn fel hll i dem gr inte saken lttare. :)

Vldigt slirigt var det s jag frstr allt snack om hur man ska f bst fste. Stor skillnad p det trgolvet, med massor av smflis och sgspn, mot att kra p asfalt.
Hmmm...jag har en filmsnutt av hela provket men det r fortfarande :sad: p videobandet.
