Our final Heat is about to draw to a close, but before Hector and Tom scrap it out once more in the PTT€™s history, let€™s use our last time travel trip :proud: to take a look back at their previous meeting...the Grand Final of PTT2! :proud:

ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!
Right away, The Business Ends and SpunOut charge towards each other!! But as the two approach the arena centre, TBE veers off to one side and reverses into SpunOuts rear!! The axe fires and the arm attached to the rear raises!!! But SpunOut is merely lifted off the ground and lands back on its 6 wheels!!! Now the pusher slams into TBEs rear, carefully avoiding the arm, and shunts the hammerbot into the arena wall!!! TBE tries to get away, but SpunOut starts to ram into it!!! As it backs off, TBE quickly darts away and SpunOut just about ends up crashing into the wall!!! After a very quick recovery, SpunOut charges disc-first towards TBE!!! But as it approaches, TBE slams into reverse and the two crash into each other in the arena centre!!! As the two collide, SpunOuts disc meets TBEs arm, but the lifter holds up with little more than a scratch, while the disc seems to have been temporarily stopped!!! The rear arm of TBE manages to just get under SpunOuts disc and, with one fire of the axe and a lot of reversing, successfully flips SpunOut over!!! Being invertible, SpunOut takes this with little bother!! But as it tries another shove, TBE drives under the rear of the machine and with some more reversing, fires the axe and sends the robot over again!!! Now facing TBE disc-first, SpunOut charges with all its might, slams into TBEs front ram and pushes it so hard that the section of the arena wall the two hit almost comes loose!!!! Now SpunOut is reverting to the Tornado tactic...ram it, ram it, RAM IT!!! But after taking a few nasty shoves, TBE successfully manages to turn around, allowing a charging SpunOut to meet the spinner head-on!!! The disc hits the ram and, although the spike is now rather bent, the disc has stopped again!!! TBE seizes its chance and manages to drive under SpunOuts currently static disc!!! The now legendary axe activates and SpunOut, who seems to be pinning TBE to the arena wall, is suffering blow after blow after blow!!!! Despite having stronger top and bottom amour, the hammer is making a fair few dents!!! Blow after blow rains down on SpunOut, who is still keeping TBE against the wall!! Refbot intervenes by approaching the two and, while carefully avoiding TBEs hammer, pries the robots apart!! The two separate and TBE zooms to the arena centre with SpunOut in hot pursuit...the disc and spike had become stuck together!!!! As SpunOut hits TBEs side and starts to shove it to the arena wall again, TBE quickly pulls forwards and darts away as SpunOut very nearly hits the wall again!!! Now quickly getting into reverse, TBE drives under SpunOuts exposed rear and nearly flips it over again!!! As the pusher tries to get some room and shunt TBE away, the hammerbot drives under SpunOuts rear and lifts it again!!! The pusher is almost turned over...and very nearly propped against the wall!!! With SpunOut pinned sideways against the barrier, TBE reverses into SpunOuts rear and manages to get underneath, while also hitting a wheel!!! The axe fires, the rear arm goes up, TBE pushes with all its might, the sideways SpunOut goes up...and the pusher is now beached on its side against the wall!!!!! The Business Ends has done it!!!!! Its plan worked!!!!! As the mighty hammerer backs off and watches the pusher try desperately to get off the wall, Refbot approaches and begins to count out the marvellous, destructive, but finally conquered SpunOut!!!!!

As Mr. P approaches the beached SpunOut, TBE backs into the arena centre and starts to bash the floor with utter joy!!!!! Hectors done it!!! Hes won the 2nd Pussycat Tribute Tournament!!!!! Mr. P meets the abandoned pusher and picks it up with his hideous claw!!! As Bash kindly releases the Pit for him, and while TBE continues to bash the floor into sawdust, Mr. P raises SpunOut as high as possible, turns to the Pit and trundles over!!! Once at the edge, Mr. P releases its grip and all watch as the great SpunOut tumbles into oblivion!!!!! One €œBANG!€ later and the smoke begins to rise from the Pit!!!!! We have a new PTT champion...and his name is THE BUSINESS ENDS!!!!!

Of all the fights I€™ve written, I think this is one of my personal favourites. :)
Now, it€™s back to the future to see our last Heat Final (and to get rid of this machine - the CIA have been tracking me for a while, you know :proud:)

It€™s been a long while...a long, long, loooooooong while :proud:...but we€™re finally about to fill the last place in our Series Semi-Finals! Once again, Gilbert and Roper meet in another Clash of the Titans, but who will triumph this time - the 5-way newbie clusterbot or the ram-happy 2nd seed? Our Final Heat Final will provide us with an answer... :)

SPUNOUT 3.0 (2) Vs THE TEAM THAT WASN€™T THERE

ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!
SpunOut 3.0 gets off to the quicker start with its serious acceleration, but already, the Team That Wasn€™t There has begun to start separating!! With the disc revved up, the No.2 seed darts forwards and rams right into the middle of the line of Lightweights!! Although this attack has put a great slice into one of the members, this charge has also managed to smash the mini rammers free from each other!! Now all five are beginning to roam the arena!! Disc back up to speed, SpunOut takes a dart towards an advancing segment, but as it does, another member shoots across the ring and under the No.2 seed€™s side before it can swing round and retaliate!! As the powerful cluster piece merrily pushes Tom€™s machine across the arena, another Team member darts over and into the Pit Release Button!! However, as the siren blares and SpunOut is smacked into the arena wall, the blow knocks the No.2 seed off the €œsnagging€ ridge of the cluster piece€™s wedge!! Back in action, Tom quickly sends SpunOut dashing off the front wedge and back into the arena!! As two more segments come on the attack (one of which Tom crippled earlier on :proud:), the No.2 seed tries a new tactic - as the 2 Lightweights get closer, the PTT2 runner-up uses its six wheels to swing right round and strike both cluster pieces with the dreaded flywheel!! While one member is scarred, but safe, the already wounded segment looks worse for wear...due to the fact that only one side seems to be working!!! SpunOut revs up the disc again and dodges another joint assault, as Refbot starts to count out the half-immobile Lightweight!!!
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10!!!!!!
1 down, 4 to go!!! Disc back up to speed, the No.2 seed just dodges a second twin onslaught and twirls round for another go at that unpleasant pair!! But just as Tom€™s machine prepares to attack the two advancing Lightweights, another Team member darts over and slip underneath the No.2 seed€™s side!!! When the fourth remaining segment trundles over as well, SpunOut tries to shoot free...which is tricky when the €œsnagging€ ridge is locked onto the outer cage protecting the wheels!!! Delighted with his little manoeuvre, the triumphant cluster piece makes its way over to the Pit, the other Team members clearing the way!! SpunOut€™s disc spins wildly - but there€™s nothing to attack!!! The wheels twirl desperately - but it can€™t release itself from the ridge!!! Tom tries to wriggle his machine loose - but it€™s too late!!! The little Lightweight has reached the Pit edge, abruptly halted and shaken the No.2 seed into the eternal darkness...
CEASE!!!!!
SpunOut 3.0 couldn€™t survive the big push! :proud: The No.2 seed falls victim to the quintuplets€™ ruthless teamwork and misses out on the title a second time!

Tornado could last long than everyones giving it credit for here. That low low wedge and good pushing power has gotten it past some skirts before... Still, Ultraverter to launch Tornado into orbit, where it bounces off the moon, lands behind UltraVerter and pushes it into the pit:proud:

Hmm, polycarb... Not the strongest material against impact weapons if memory serves, so I should be able to grapple on nicely. If I can just get under him, his electromagnet wont be able to stop me pushing him, so Ill grapple and shove him. Ill also try to damage his hammer shaft so he cant attack me effectively. But hey, if I lose Im going out to the ex-champ:)

Basically what will happen when CS and MDU meet will be a loud bang, the generated energy will be in the area of 1 MJ to each robot, and that energy will blow apart both robots, and basically create a huge hole in the floor, in which both robots will fall and because MDU has petrol on board a giant fireball will come up and kill sir killalot :)

I think MDU will survive mainly on its pure design of having a spinning mass as armour :)
Im hoping to use my slightly heavier weapon and powerful turbine to attack first and damage his weapon early, but if it comes to death blows, the extra weight should help my weapon as the strength is higher.

This day has been anticipated since the War began, but it€™s finally here...the first Semi-Final of PTT3!!! :proud:
First up today, former UK champion and No.30 seed Tornado take on the fearsome newcomer UltraVerter! The current RW king justified its title win by pitting Axe-L-Bot X 2, Achilles AND Flea 2.0! But UltraVerter has just as impressive a record, flipping 13th seed 259 and send 29th seed Slammer 2 and Battle Raptor out of the arena! Will the Tornado be blown the same way or will UltraVerter€™s world be turned upside-down?
Next up, we see a Clash of Kings - PTT1 champ and No.9 seed Beta against PTT newcomer and NSBFL2 champ The Crashing Bore! The series one champion happily hammered past Dervish Mach 2, Junkyard Maw and Electro to make its 3rd Semi-Final, but Frank Goacher€™s prove his worth as well, defeating 2 Bell & Back, Armageddon Mk 2 and 26th seed Flip-O-2! One of these kings will be dethroned and the other will rule supreme - which one it€™ll be is anyone€™s guess!
After that, we welcome back another champion - our current PTT magistrate and No.1 seed The Business Ends, who will be clashing with newcomer Disctruction EVO! After rising (or should that be €œlifting€Â) to the top of PTT2, Hector€™s machine returned to defend its title on fine form, defeating Dantomkia, AWOL and Stratus 2! But Disctruction made a powerful impact in its Heat by defeating Turbo Falcon, 21st seed Double Killa and (most surprisingly) the No.5 seed Voltronic! Whatever happens when these bots get down to business, disctruction is guaranteed!
Finally this not-so-merry morn, we have our first Semi conflict between two unseeded machines - PTT2 veteran Heir to Black Panther and PTT newcomer(s) The Team That Wasn€™t There! Slashed out of Round 2 last season, the Panther€™s return sparked more of this season€™s shocks, giving the knockout blow to Baird, 6th seed The Matador and Bad Cluster! However, the Team has proved the biggest surprise of the War thus far, pitting Charybdis, 18th seed Bigger Brother and 2nd seed SpunOut 3.0, the highest seed casualty of the season up €˜til now! A panther against 5 little terriers...that€™s animal cruelty, surely?!
But enough of zis! Gloom and glory await...for whom, we shall find out... :proud:

IN PTT2 (S5 version): it lost in Round 2 to Bigger Brother on a judges decision
(S6 version): it was flipped out of the arena in Round 1 by Pure Evil!

UltraVerter was entered by Tom Roper and is armed with a flipping arm on top of the robot. It€™s a low square box with skirting all round, runs on 6 inner wheels and the flipper has nearly twice the power of Wheely Big Cheese!

Both machines get off to a nippy start!! The two wedges collide in the arena centre and a little pushing match seems to have gotten underway!! The initial shove gives Tornado a nice thrust against its enemy, but with two more wheels, UltraVerter pushes back and slams the No.30 seed smack-bang into the arena wall!! This ram sends the UK champion sliding up the front wedge of the PTT newcomer!! Tom prepares to fire the devastating flipper, but Karl finds that Tornado still has traction on the newbie€™s sloped front!! With the gas going as hard as it can, the PTT veteran darts off the wedge and shoots off back to the arena centre, just as the powerful flipper fires!! Retracting the arm in the blink of an eye, Tom backs his machine away from the barrier...but as he does, Tornado shoots into the newcomer€™s rear, wedge-to-wedge, and successfully slams the conqueror of 259 into the wall!! However, this slam has caused the No.30 seed to slide up onto the arm again!! Karl tries backing his machine away again, but proves too late!! The arm fires...and Tornado rockets into the air spinning like a Catherine Wheel!!! With the speed and height it€™s flying at, it seems more of a cannon than a contestant at the moment!!! Fearing the worst, Karl hands down the controls...then picks them back up in a mad dash when he sees that Tornado has landed back on the right side of the wall, a bare few feet away from crashing out!!! Delighted at staying in the ring, Karl guides the No.30 seed away from another attack, although the hard landing has made Tornado€™s responses pretty slow!! Swirling round again, UltraVerter heads after the UK champ once more, as it trundles into the Pit Release Button!! However, as Tornado swings round to try and get wedge-to-wedge with Tom€™s machine again, the PTT newcomer ploughs under the No.30 seed as it bares its side and slams it into the arena wall!!! Back underneath again, Tom fires the flipper...Tornado is flung over the wall, smacks off the protective Plexyglass screen, smashes off the edge of the arena fence and lands with a hard crash onto the camera track!!!

For this bout, the Crashing Bore gets the nippier start and uses its greater speed to trundle around to the side of Beta in an attempt to get underneath!! Although the electromagnets are pretty much useless on a wooden floor :proud:, the low wedged sides of the No.9 seed are still proving a challenge for Frank€™s machine to slip under!! Finding this to time-consuming and noticing that Beta is turning for a hammer blow, the Bore fires the guillotine and gets a whack in first!!! The blade smacks down on the polycarbonate and puts a nice indent into the ex-champion€™s outer shell!!! But although the Bore now has a good grip on Beta, the No.9 seed has successfully managed to swing round and face its rival...and down comes the axe!!! Again and again, the hammer bashes down on the Bore€™s 6 mil titanium shell, as the PTT newcomer starts shoving the No.9 seed down the arena...towards Mr Psycho€™s CPZ!!! Upon approaching the corner of the arena, the Bore retracts the guillotine and deftly shoves Beta deeper into the House Robot€™s lair!! Nursing the several blows added to its armour, the PTT newcomer backs away, as Mr Psycho closes in on the former champion!!! Karl fires up the axe again, hammering at thin air!! The House Robot trundles closer, pushes the No.9 seed further into his domain...and smacks the hammer down on the PTT1 champ€™s top...causing barely any damage!!! Being the brute that he is, Mr P hasn€™t realised just how robust this year€™s Semi-Finalists are - or that Beta has slipped right past him and back into the arena!!! :proud: Meeting the Bore back in the centre of the ring, Karl steers his second Semi-Finalist past the PTT newcomer, trying to swing into the side and hammer the top there!! However, the slightly nippier Bore also twirls round, just as Beta fires its axe (putting another nice dent in the newbie)!! Frank fires the guillotine...and locks onto the axe-head!!! Karl tries shaking the blade off by attempting to fire the axe - but the pressure from that mighty mousetrap is keeping the hammer firmly down!!! The former champion can€™t get free...and Frank has an idea of what to do with it!!! Putting his machine into reverse, Frank guides the Bore down the arena, with Beta being dragged along with it!!! Despite the occasion stutter from the No.9 seed trying to pull itself free, the run goes steadily in Franky€™s eyes...and contemplates this as the Bore gently nudges into the Pit Release Button!!! The newcomer turns to face the abyss, but a tug from the No.9 seed sends the Bore sharply off course!! Keeping concentrated, Frank steers his machine (and the pinned former champ) back in the right direction - over to the Pit!!! The No.9 seed desperately tries to yank itself free as the crater looms nearer!! But, with the superior traction, the Bore slides past the Pit edge...dragging Beta into the great abyss in the process!!!

As the faster of the two machines, The Business Ends gets the quicker start!! The reigning champion dashes around to the side of Disctruction EVO€™s side and gives the PTT newcomer a quick jab from the electric axe!! However, the front flywheel of the Heat C winner has already begun whirling up - and Aaron decides to demonstrate its deadliness by turning the walker disc-first into The Business Ends€™ side!! The blades of the spinner slice into the No.1 seed and even manage to make the machine jump a bit off the ground for a second!! With a rather gruesome slice down one side of his machine, Hector quickly guides The Business Ends across the arena, with Disctruction in hot pursuit!! Suddenly, though, the reigning champion shifts into reverse and shoots backwards, round in an arc...and smack-bang into Disctruction€™s side!!! With the rear little scoop underneath the box-wedge, the axe activates and, combined with a smart push backwards, Hector has made Aaron€™s machine topple onto its back...but not for long!!! No sooner has The Business Ends whirled round to bring the axe into play, then Aaron fires the rear flipper and flicks his walker back onto its wheels!! Back right-side-up and with the disc already trying to get back to full swing, Disctruction twirls round to try and give The Business Ends another smack, but the No.1 seed has already shot away and released the Pit!!! With the siren echoing across the arena, Aaron€™s walker scuttles across the arena and successfully clips the side of the reigning champion as it shoots past to try and dodge any blows!! With another scar to be content with, Hector puts his machine back into reverse and swings back underneath Disctruction€™s side, nearly suffering a third slice in the armour in the process!! With the scoop back underneath, the axe activates, the champ reverses and the newcomer falls over a second time!! With Disctruction topsy-turvy again, The Business Ends swings back round and, just as the flipper fires to swing the walker back over, Hector activates the axe...and grapples onto Disctruction€™s underbelly!!! The walker€™s not righting anywhere with the champ pinning it down!! Retracting the flipper, Aaron prepares to try again, as the underbelly takes more bashes from the electric hammer!!! Suddenly, the flipper fires again and, this time, the Heat C winner is toppled back onto its legs!!! Infuriated at this onslaught, Aaron revs the flywheel back up again!!! The Business Ends darts away, but, at 15mph, Disctruction isn€™t too far behind!! Deciding on another attack, the No.1 seed abruptly gets into reverse and, in a wide arc, prepares to slip under the PTT newcomer a third time!! However, as the champ gets nearer, Aaron turns Disctruction round to face The Business Ends...and gives the No.1 seed a rearful of disc!!! The reigning champion hops before a second blow from the flywheel is struck, this time on the side!!! Realising its danger, the disfigured Business Ends dashes away, Disctruction not too far behind!! Suddenly, Hector puts €œreverse€ on again, darts back to the side of Aaron€™s entry, performs a neat and sharp 180 turn and smacks the top of the PTT newcomer, almost receiving another attack from the flywheel!! Keeping a grip on the walker, Hector decides to use the limited traction of Disctruction to his advantage!! Keeping the axe pinning down the newcomer, The Business Ends starts shoving the walking wonder up the arena...right up to Growler€™s CPZ!!! Slipping Disctruction right into the corner, the champ shoots away - just as the House Robot crashes into the side of the mighty walker, smacking it against the wall in the process!!! Although the innards have been given a right good shaking, Aaron€™s entry still seems fully operational - even the 5 mil Hardox armour only has a slight bash to it!!! Quickly scuttling back into the arena as Growler tries to grapple the flywheel, Disctruction returns to challenge The Business Ends...who promptly greets the newcomer by darting over and sliding the rear scoop back underneath the side of the machine!!! The axe activates, the champ reverses and the newbie is back on its back!!!

Right from the off, the Team That Wasn€™t There quickly starts to split up, but the much quicker Heir to Black Panther simply charges right towards the separating segments and ramming into the side of one of the quintuplets!! Alex fires the axe and brings the Mortis-style blade down on top of the segment he chose to attack!! The Team member tries to get away as its companions approach also, but HTBP has simply darted backwards down the arena, outrunning its Lightweight opponents and dragging the side-on cluster piece along with it!! The four remaining Team members try to catch up, but too late - HTBP has nudged into the Pit Release Button!!! Just as the siren starts to echo round the ring, the trapped Team member tries to pull itself away, but HTBP still has a firm grip on it with the pneumatic axe!! With the remaining members in hot pursuit, the PTT veteran darts forward, shoving the pinned Lightweight along with it!! The four members narrowly miss their target as HTBP shoots over to the Pit, releases its grip on the struggling Lightweight...and allows it to plummet to the depths of the arena!!! 1 down, 2 to go!!! Angered at the loss of its team-mate, one segment darts over to HTBP...who promptly swirls past the cluster piece and nearly gets it to Pit itself!!! The PTT veteran€™s great manoeuvrability and speed are really coming in useful here!! With another quick dodge after another segment tries a ram attack, HTBP zips back to the arena centre and twirls round to head on the attack...only to go head-on with one of the four remaining members and get shoved across the arena into the fence at the top of the ring - but not before putting two nice little holes in the 1 mil Lexan top of the machine!!! Just as the little Lightweight tries a second ram, HTBP pulls away from the cluster piece€™s line of fire, twirls round and smacks into the little machine€™s side!!! With another fire of the axe, a third hole is punched through the top plate...just as the other three pieces shoot over for a crack at the veteran!!! Sharply turning towards the Pit, Alex piles on the petrol (so to speak) and darts across the arena, the pinned and writhing Team member in front!! Although HTBP is successfully outrunning the other members, the piece he has grappled onto is proving a tough customer!! With the Pit edge barely a few feet away, the Lightweight tries to break away - but ends up simply pulling the PTT veteran round to get its rear facing the Pit!!! With the other Team members closing in, HTBP quickly whirls back round and, with one last shove, gives Alex his second cluster kill of the fight!!! Only one more to dispose of and he€™s through to Round 2...but the last three pieces has finally caught up!!! One gives HTBP a sharp blow to the side, nearly sending it down the crater there and then!! With a sharp dodge, the PTT veteran narrowly misses a second shove from the second segment (who nearly suffers from suicide :proud:) and a quick little dash backwards, Alex avoids a third Pitting attempt from the third member!! As the other Lightweights reform for another attack, HTBP seizes its chance!! The PTT veteran rockets forwards and crashes into two of the surviving pieces!!! With one spun right round on impact, Alex guides the front wedge of his machine underneath its inverted wedge, axes the lid and moves forward with a small burst!!! The axe retracts...the other two Team members shoot forwards...HTBP gets a powerful shove from the rear...and topples into the Pit...on top of Team Member No.3!!! Alex breathes a mighty sigh of relief - before breaking into cheers of delight!!!
With 3/5 pieces in the Pit, 5/5 pieces are out the contest! Looks like the Team That Wasn€™t There won€™t be having a reunion for quite a while now!

The Business Ends (1) Vs The Crashing Bore: Ooh, a very close fight, in my honest opinion. I think The Business Ends might be able to flip The Crashing Bore over, and push it into the pit, but if TCB can get a hold on TBE, then we might be looking for a new champion.

Great... Just great. Having somehow dropped the former champ I get lumbered with the current one:lame: ...Incidentally I think this is the first time Ive run up against one of Hectors creations.
Anyways, pressing on... Car steering on TBE means Ill have better manoverability in close quarters, so Ill rush in and try to keep close throughout the match. Ill concentrate my gillotein blows in the centre of his machine so I should hopefully break or bend his arm out of use.
Im not sure what his armour is so I dont know if I can latch onto him or not, but if I get the chance to get under him hes going either into a painful house robot or down the pit:)

I think I am going to have to agree with them myself, HtBP is only effective against certain types of opponents and skirted rambots are not one of them, I only beat most things because I can outmanouver them and use the weapon combo, the only thing I can go here is hit and run yet again, using the axe as its skirted, I suppose if I hit it for long enough I may just do something, but from here it looks like a dead end...
However on the outlook this gives me a worst position of eigth, and the quality of my opponent means that it could well be higher.

Both robots meet in the arena centre!! Heir to Black Panther tries to manoeuvre round to UltraVerter€™s side for an axe attack, but the Aussie pyramid simply slams into the turning veteran and slips one of the skirts underneath Alex€™s machine!! Fortunately, HTBP isn€™t far enough up the front to meet the flipper arm, but Tom€™s about to change that!! Sending UltraVerter into full-on charge, the PTT newcomer shoots across the arena and bashes Alex€™s entry right into the arena wall!! Good news for Tom this time - the force of the blow has knocked HTBP right onto the edge of the flipper...a prime target!! The mighty arm fires...and the PTT veteran is flung straight up into the air!!! 5ft...8ft...11ft...this is really getting scary now!!! After reaching at least 13ft (and after the axe gives a random smack to the surrounding air molecules :proud:), HTBP starts to fall!!! Down...down...down...upside-down and right behind UltraVerter!!! Quickly, Alex fires the hammer and rights the bot almost instantly...back onto the side of Tom€™s machine!!! Noticing his penultimate survivor still has traction on the lethal box€™s rear skirt, Alex gets the Heir to shoot off the rear of UltraVerter, just short of getting another trip to the stratosphere!!! The veteran still lives, although control response seems a bit shaky now!! With the PTT newcomer not far behind, the fleeing HTBP darts across the arena and smacks into the Pit Release Button!!! Just as Alex€™s machine heads back to the arena centre, UltraVerter swoops in for another ram attack - but the Heir€™s great manoeuvrability allows it to dodge the attack!! However, as the veteran swings past Tom€™s machine, the PTT newcomer swings into reverse!! HTBP receives a clip to the side from this next attempted ram and, before Alex could respond, UltraVerter swung round and ploughs right under the Cluster Conqueror!! The Heir€™s axe slams down, but fails to make contact with the top of the Aussie entry!! With another ram, HTBP scrapes further up the skirted side!! Continuing its dash across the ring, UltraVerter€™s flipper fires...and due to the angle, and being at the edge of the flipper, the PTT veteran is flung right across the arena like a missile...and smashes against the wall with an almighty clatter!!! UltraVerter zips over to examine its prey!! The Heir remains alive, but the controls are twitchier than ever!!! Taking advantage of this lack of proper control, Tom rams HTBP back into the wall!! Thanks to this latest blow, the veteran is now finding itself perched on top of UltraVerter, who in turn is jammed right against the arena wall!!! Tom fires the flipper...the Heir soars upwards, at least 15ft...begins to plunge towards the arena wall...and breaks a segment of the fence clean in two before toppling backwards onto the camera track!!! Alex plays Hydra to Tom€™s Gravity and soars out of the contest!!!

Once more, The Business Ends starts off as the quicker machine!! The No.1 seed dashes over to the side of the Crashing Bore and begins hammering the 6 mil titanium lid of the NSBFL2 champion!! Angered, Frank fires the guillotine, but only succeeds in brushing the axe off of the top of the machine!! Just as the Business Ends prepares for another barrage of blows, the Bore twirls round and gives the reigning champion a good hard shove as it retracts its blade!! Thankfully for Hector, the low skirting has managed to keep the Bore from sliding underneath - however, Frank€™s machine is far from downtrodden, as the NSBFL2 champion activates the guillotine...and slams down onto The Business Ends€™ top armour!! A few centimetres closer and the flipper/axe arm could have been the victim of that attack!! With the blade retracting, the reigning champion takes this opportunity to dash away from the Bore and zips to the bottom of the ring to activate the Pit Release Button!! Just as Frank€™s machine makes it over to the now rather battered Pit Tyre, he notices The Business Ends flash back across the arena!! Growing rather tired of this chasing, the Bore resumes its pursuit...when the reigning champion suddenly halts!! Hector swings into reverse and the No.1 seed speeds backward with an arc-like manoeuvre - right into the side of the Bore!!! The small rear scoop slots under the side of the box wedge and Hector fires the arm!! With the aid of a nice backwards shove, The Business Ends succeeds in sending the NSBFL2 champion onto its back!! Almost instantaneously, however, the Bore€™s €˜mousetrap€™ fires and springs the PTT newcomer back onto its back!! The No.1 seed starts manoeuvring for another attack, when Frank€™s last entry swings round, fires the guillotine and puts another bash in the top plating of the reigning champion!!! As the Bore retracts the blade, The Business Ends swings right round and slots the rear scoop under the NSBFL2 champion€™s side a second time!! With another €œflip-and-push€ technique, the Bore is once again on its back - only to hop back onto its wheels, thanks to the high-powered €˜trap!! After quickly dodging another attack from the blade, the No.1 seed tries a different tactic!! Zipping away from its rival once more (and with the Bore back in pursuit), the reigning champion suddenly twirls right round, performs another arc-like turn into the NSBFL2 champion€™s side and starts shoving the PTT newcomer with its front ram to the bottom end of the arena...towards the Pit!!! With the edge getting nearer, Frank suddenly fires the guillotine!! The blade hits the wooden floor with a mighty €œthump€Â...and anchors the Bore onto the arena a few feet away from the Pit edge!!! With another shove, The Business Ends manages to nudge the €˜mousetrap€™ free from the arena floor, but this just allows the Bore to retract the blade, twirl into the No.1 seed€™s side and bash the lid of the reigning champion once more!!! Now nursing another slice in its top, The Business Ends gives another arc-like manoeuvre round into the Bore€™s side and a further fire of the axe/flipper sends the NSBFL2 champion toppling onto its back!! With its latest scheme underway, the No.1 seed zips to the rear of the inverted newcomer, just as the Bore self-rights with the guillotine...right onto the top of the reigning champion!!! Frank tries to get his machine back onto the arena floor, but The Business Ends simply dashes forward a few feet, fires the axe...and flicks the world€™s first vapourbot into the Pit!!!

This should be a nice battle in my opinion :) Alex hasnt really got any tactics to use againt me, and there is nowhere it can cause serious damage. So Ill just aim to slide under and toss it over, that SRIMECH is fairly unreliable. Once over Ill just try to push it to the wall and flick it OOTA, only one person doubts that I can do this so far...Also, another option is to run around and make Tengu 4 spin up and spin up my blade and then hit it, those teeth should hit the ground and send it spinning away madly. If he refuses to spin the body, its an easy target for the flipper. Baisically either bash it off course and send it into a mad spin or just launch it OOTA :)

Last time, we saw Aussie newbie UltraVerter and reigning champion The Business Ends storm into the Grand Final. Today, we€™ll find out who joins them as we begin our second Semi-Final! :proud:
First up today, we have a true battle of the Giants- No.4 seed and twice RW World Champion Razer against one of the most feared vapourbots devised by Aussiekind, SpinVerter 3! The No.4 seed made very good use of the Pit in its Heat, sending BackSpin 2.0, Dragonfly AND Supreme Glory Beta all down that infamous black hole! But SpinVerter has proved just as capable of using the arena to its advantage, sending 31st seed Cassius 2 out the ring, pitting Snakebite Evolution and ejecting 15th seed Hypno Disc onto the camera track! One thing is certain in this Commonwealth clash - going for the Queen instead of the other bot is NOT an option! :proud:
Next up is one of the most anticipated battles of the War thus far...as the one-hit wonders CrankShafted and Mass Disctruction Ultimate finally square up against each other! Both spinners have taken out some of the top machines around - Tom€™s walker KO-ed RW New Blood champ Storm 2, 23rd seed Thermidor 2 and 7th seed Biohazard, while Aaron€™s walker KO-ed former Battlebots champ Vlad the Impaler, 32nd seed Firestorm 4 and 16th seed Behemoth! Both robots similar in design, both capable of unspeakable chaos...better get the spare stadium ready, Boabby! :proud:
After that, flipper and spinner meets full-body spinner, as No.8 seed Son of Ripper 0.2 takes on No.28 seed Tengu 4! Having reached the Top 8 last time around, Andy is hoping he can make it that little bit further, having already pitted Robocake 2: The Upside-Down Cake, propping That Good R&D against the wall and flicking Kan Opener out of the arena! But Tengu has already proven itself as quite the menace, after obliterating Kat 3, immobilizing Blade Runner and slashing up 12th seed Wheely Big Cheese! Two rippers will enter...two rippers will leave...well, one will be in a bin bag, anyway. :proud:
Finally today, last season€™s bronze medallist and No.3 seed Platinum Pure Evil locks horns (or should that be blades?) with No.27 seed Dishonourable Discharge! Danny had a rather tricky time getting through his Heat, flipping Big Fred out of the ring, immobilizing Pyro II and VERY narrowly beating The Robot That Wasn€™t There on a 28-27 judges decision! However, Dis Dis had quite a fun time in its Heat, ripping up one part of Clustram, Suicidal Tendencies and 11th seed Chaos 2! Hector is looking to avenge TRTWT - and where better to do that then here? :proud:
But that€™s quite enough of that! We€™re 6 fights away from finally filling the Final! So let€™s get a-crackin€™! :proud:

At nearly twice the speed of its opponent, SpinVerter 3 gets the faster start!! The PTT veteran dashes straight towards Razer, but the more manoeuvrable No.4 seed successfully dodges the oncoming onslaught and swings round into SV3€™s side...slipping under the uber-skirts!!! Now THAT€™S a rarity!! However, the claw on the former World Champion proves too slow as SV3 simply dashes off the front wedge and backs off for a charge!! Razer starts pursuing the PTT veteran, when Tom suddenly sends SpinVerter into reverse!! Just when his machine reaches the No.4 seed€™s side, Tom swings SV3 round and ploughs underneath the PTT2 Finalist!! The flipping arm fires and Razer turns gymnast, performing two impressive barrel rolls in mid-air before crashing back down onto its wheels!! SpinVerter comes in for another attack, but the No.4 seed successfully manages to dodge round the approaching PTT veteran!! Just as the Aussie machine begins a backwards ram, Razer swings round and under SpinVerter€™s side!! SV3 tries to get away, but too late - the claw has already lowered onto the flipping arm - even though the crusher can€™t penetrate the thick outer shell of his rival, Marty is still delighted!!! The former World Champ has a hold of the legendary vapourbot and I don€™t think it wants to let go!!! Quickly trying to take advantage of this stroke of luck, Marty sends Razer careering down the arena and into the Pit Release Button!! However, as the siren starts echoing round the stadium, Tom suddenly fires SpinVerter€™s flipper...pushing the claw back upwards and allowing enough force for it to regain traction on the No.4 seed€™s front wedge!! Quick as a flash, SV3 darts away from the former RW champ and back up to the top of the arena!!! Swinging back round, Razer restarts the pursuit!! However, SpinVerter has just swung back round again for another attack!! The No.4 seed starts to turn, to try and swing round past SV3, but this just leaves it bearing its side to the PTT veteran!! The charging SpinVerter slides underneath the PTT2 Finalist€™s side, keeps shoving the UK bot down the arena and fires the flipping arm at the arena centre!! The former World Champion flies down the ring, soaring at least 5ft in the air!!! Marty prepares for the worst...then calms when he sees Razer land on its side a few feet away from the Pit Release Button!! Just as the self-righting arms slowly start pushing the No.4 seed back onto its wheels, the former RW champ suddenly finds itself right-way-up again...mainly thanks to another powerful ram from SpinVerter, which resulted in the PTT veteran colliding with the wall!! Just as SV3 starts backing away, the nearby No.4 seed swings round and manages to scrape underneath the mighty skirts a third time!! Tom tries to get his machine away, but the crusher has already managed to clamp onto the top armour of the legendary vapourbot!!! THIS time, SV3 wasn€™t getting away...and Marty was going to make it permanent!! Already facing in the direction of the Pit, the No.4 seed leaves the Pit Release Button and trundles over to the edge of the hole!!! Tom fires the flipping arm again and again in desperation, trying to shake his machine free!!! The six wheels spin back and forth, but the grip on the PTT veteran is just too tight!!! Finally, Razer reaches the Pit...Marty retracts the claw...and SpinVerter gives one last flip as it plunges to the arena depths!!!

And so, for the first (and maybe even last) time, the two one-hit killers face each other!!!
Almost instantly, both machines have their lethal spinning shells up to speed...and now comes the first charge!! The two similar entries start strutting their way to the arena centre for the collision of all collisions!! As the slightly quicker machine, Mass Disctruction Ultimate makes it there first, but CrankShafted isn€™t exactly a mile away!! The two machines scuttle closer and closer...and the maddened, whirling shells finally touch...
CRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!
Due to the weight of the two machines, neither walker is flung too far away on impact, although the smash has sent both circular killers twirling on the spot like a pair of psychopathic spinning tops!!! You can almost hear the floor groan as the shockwaves from the two spinning shells€™ meeting shake the wood!!! Suddenly, both machines stop spinning...the shells rapidly begin to slow down...and the legs stop moving!!! Refbot trundles over and halts beside the two machines!! It looks as though they€™ve managed to killed each other!!! The Ref shakes his head from one spinner to the other!! What on earth should he do?! The answer to that comes when his head swings back round to MDU...and notices that a few of the legs have begun moving again!!!! Aaron€™s machine may not be going very far, but at least there€™s still signs of movement...which is more than can be said for CrankShafted at the moment!!! Refbot gives the 4-legged spinner a sharp nudge...but no response is given!!! Aaron cheers with delight and MDU€™s enduring legs scuttle in some sort of little victory dance, as the Ref finally starts to count down the once mighty CrankShafted!!!

Tengu 4 gets off to the quickest start, darting away from Son of Ripper 0.2 as the rotating shell starts getting up to speed!! As the No.8 seed starts pursuing it, Alex€™s machine manages to reach its 1000rpm peak!! The No.28 seed swings into reverse and smacks right into the front wedge of SoR 0.2!! Both robots are catapulted away from each other as the spinny shell meets the SoR shell!!! Alex quickly regains control and revs the spinner back up as it charges towards the No.8 seed...who is still swirling like a cow in a hurricane after that last crash!! :proud: Finally regaining control of his machine, Andy prepares to send SoR off to get some space for a charge - when the whirling Tengu dashes over and, this time, gets a smack on the side of the No.8 seed!! A nice little indent has been put into the Hardox wheel guards of the PTT2 Semi-Finalist, as the bot in question narrowly avoids a third injury from the No.28 seed!! Just as Tengu prepares for another attack, SoR swirls round, activates the rear spinning blade and backs into the rotating shell of the No.28 seed!! The blow manages to knock the full-body spinner a little unbalanced - enough to make the shell hit the floor and halt the spinning process!! Seizing its chance, SoR dashes into Tengu, slides underneath and throws the No.28 seed over onto its back!! However, this only proves a temporary setback - as the No.8 seed gives its rival a sharp jab with the rear spinning blade, Alex activates the srimech arm, tipping the full-body spinner back onto its wheels and allowing the PTT2 Heat Finalist to dart back across the arena!! SoR chases after Tengu again...and notices that the spinning shell is still working!! Not wanting to give up without a fight, however, the No.8 seed resumes its pursuit of its rival!! Suddenly, the No.28 seed takes another sharp change of direction - back towards SoR!! The PTT2 Semi-Finalist tries to whirl round and activate the blade...but proves too late!! Tengu€™s spinning shell collides with the No.8 seed, which sends the VFT1 champion back into its merry-go-round impression!!! :proud: Now having to cope with another scar, SoR tries to escape any more blows...but this simply proves wishful thinking, as the revved-up No.28 seed charges over and smacks into the No.8 seed€™s side!! This latest blow simply hurls Andy€™s machine all the way up to the arena centre again!! With the shell still spinning, Alex sends Tengu charging over to SoR!! The PTT2 Semi-Finalist tries to get away, but the No.28 seed once again proves the faster of the two!! The full-body spinner once more crashes into the No.8 seed and catapults it up to the top end of the arena!! With the shell still going after the latest collision, Tengu darts up to the top of the ring, as SoR starts trundling away!! Catching up in no time at all, the No.28 seed prepares to strike...but the VFT1 champion simply turns and tries to flee the full-body spinner in the opposite direction!! As the No.8 seed trundles along by the arena wall, Tengu very quickly catches up, whirls into SoR€™s side using a Business End-style arc manoeuvre (not wanting to run into the now-active spinning bar) and gives the side of its rival a good hard wallop!! The PTT Semi-Finalist twirls away from the No.28 seed...bounces off the arena wall (ripping off a piece of it in the process :proud:)...and is flung back down the ring, almost back to the centre again!!! Still spinning, Tengu darts over to the wounded SoR, who seems to be having quite a bit of trouble manoeuvring!! The No.28 seed smacks into the No.8 seed again and the VFT1 champion is once more sent twirling round on impact!! Tengu backs off a bit...sees SoR twitch a bit...then gives it another hard smack to the side!!! The No.8 seed looks like a full-body spinner itself!!! Finally, Alex backs down...while Andy breaks down...or, more specifically, his machine!!! All those blows from Tengu must have shaken many a-gubbin inside the No.8 seed!!! As Alex finally shuts off the spinning shell, Refbot trundles over and begins counting down the valiant, but vanquished Son of Ripper!!!

Both machines get off to a nippy start!! While Dishonourable Discharge quickly gets its massive drum up to speed, Platinum Pure Evil whirls round and begins revving up its rear flywheel!! The two then suddenly charge (or in the No.3 seed€™s case, reverses) into the arena centre and the spinners collide with a deafening crash!!! Both disc and drum have stopped - Dis Dis has received a nice slash down the drum, while Pure Evil has several little slashes around the disc area!! Just as Hector€™s machine prepares to start revving up again, Dan€™s axlebot whirls round and manages to slot the huge flipper underneath the currently static drum!! The flipper fires...and the No.27 seed is flicked nearly 4ft in the air before crashing back down to earth!! Just as Pure Evil whirls round to give the Heat F winner another taste of its re-revved flywheel, Dis Dis charges straight at the front flipper, the drum back in action!! The blades of the cyclonic cylinder manage to catch the underside of Pure Evil...flicking the axlebot off the ground!!! The No.27 seed quickly nips under Dan€™s entry as it falls back down, allowing the drum to slice into the underbelly!! Now having to nurse more scars and scrapes thanks to Hector€™s latest attack, Pure Evil lands back on the ground as Dis Dis scuttles away from the No.3 seed to rev the drum up again!! Quickly getting its own spinner up to speed, Dan whirls his machine around and backs his axlebot into the revving drum of the No.27 seed!! Thanks to this latest assault, the Heat F winner is now sporting a great slice down the cylindrical body!!! But the PTT2 bronze medallist isn€™t stopping there!! As Dis Dis backs away to try and get some room to get the drum up to speed, Pure Evil charges straight at Hector€™s machine!! The ram stops the drum and allows the axlebot to scrape under the barrel-on-wheels, although the No.3 seed has taken a few more scratches and scrapes as a consequence!! Not wanting to waste any more time, Dan fires the flipper and sends the No.27 seed another few feet into the air!!! Just as Dis Dis starts to fall, Pure Evil whirls round to bear the spinning disc to its opponent!! The Heat F winner lands with another clatter, only to have the No.3 seed charge rear-first into the disc and add another slash into the now-rather battered-looking drum!!! Thinking he may be onto something with this pattern of attacks, Dan whirls Pure Evil back round as Dis Dis tries spinning up again!! The flipper slides under the drum (taking a few more nicks and scratches) and sends the No.27 seed back on another little fight!! As it tumbles back down to earth, Pure Evil twirls round, backs just a little bit...and allows the Heat F winner to fall right onto the rear flywheel!!! Another great slice is added to Hector€™s problems!! However, as the No.3 seed swings back round for another flipper attack, Dis Dis jerks away from the axlebot€™s launching pad and trundles down the arena!! Dan can€™t help but get the feeling he€™s in trouble...well, Pure Evil is, anyway, as the No.27 seed€™s drum is finally revving up again!!! Cautiously, the PTT2 bronze medallist reverses over to its opponent - but apparently, not quickly enough to satisfy Hector!! The Heat F winner nips over to the side of the slower axlebot and sinks its rotating claws into the armour!!! Tiny gashes are now appearing in the side of that ferocious flipper!!! Realising he has to do something as Dis Dis revs up the drum a tad more, Dan swings Pure Evil head-on into the drum - although his bot takes more little scars, his gambit seems to have paid off...the drum has stopped once more!!! Quickly sliding under the fellow axlebot, Dan fires the flipper and stands back to admire the No.27 seed shooting upwards...then tumbling downwards, back onto the arena floor!!!

Narrowly dodging another swipe from the swinging Platinum Pure Evil, Dis Dis starts revving up the drum once more!!

Danny quickly tries to get once last blow from his disc, but it€™s the No.27 seed who makes the final blow of the bout by smashing into the side of the flipper, with sparks and scrapes galore added to the armour!!!

As the No.3 seed backs for a last run at the Heat F winner, the fights draws to a close. With both robots mangled, yet mobile, we€™ll need the judges to call a winner. Will Platinum Pure Evil prove to be €˜fool€™s gold€™, or will Dishonourable Discharge get its marching orders? With the last place in our Grand Final qualifiers up for grabs, this result really matters. And speaking of results...
