Jonno wont allow that, he does need the polycarb screens for other events you know.

Mr Stu
Never mind Ewan,
If that nasty Mr Stu wont let you go in with spinners..well let you have a go against Scorpion Jr. one on one. (That OK with you Stu?):)
More than ok.
The White board battles dont just mean friendly fights - white board means, there is arena time to be filled - you lot sort it out who you want to fight :proud:

Would Sir prefer the vertical or the horizontal? :proud:
Will 6mm steel suit you??? :)
I think the vertical this time, the horizontal has already made its mark.
OK Joe...Vertical it is then!
Ewan, I will let you discuss the relitive merits of 6mm steel armour with my team-mate at the event!:proud:
We should start up grudge matches. :proud:
Mr Stu

Its not the amount of robots which is the problem - its the amount of people. So sadly no Ewan. Janice is already having kittens over the amount of over 120 roboteers being at this venue.
Mr Stu

Just got home and plugged the video camera into the TV.
Featherweights.............Boring boxes on wheels?..Not any more!!
G3 v Ripper... I have just counted 115 flips/sremechs in one battle!
Ian
Thats great!!!
(Got nothing better to do than count flips ian?)
Just got back home. Wanna go to bed - nighty night.
All went well after the Morning Rush hour. Then things calmed down.
Must say sorry to the Ant Weights - we relised there was a small problem with having tons of feather weights, they clogged up most of the Freqs for the ants. We got that sorted, and its also something for us to work on and devise a system to sort the problem out in the future. We live and learn.
Thank you to all the roboteers for their support and co-operation! We couldnt have done it with out you. Special thanks to Cheif Judge Andrew M for taking care of the show along side with him, Angela - great work on the Mic. Dave G and Sian on sound/lighting - decent job - all was perfect - thanks. Lee H and Denis filming the event - all was great! nice filming - CDs should start to go into work very soon - promo video coming out soon.
Well done to all the winners of all events from ants to feathers, from white boards to frenzys. Great fun.
Special thanks to Technobots.co.uk for the prize voughers.
Write up of the event will be up very soon - thanks a million - FWSmash 2005 maybe something bigger from the sounds of it - we will see.
Regards,

Glad to hear it went great today guys :) Sorry I couldnt make it, but im sure I wasnt missed.
Jas
Did this event make a profit (probably charity profit?) If so, wouldnt it be possible to do more than one full on featherweight event per year...
I kinda gets boring when the heavyweights fill the arena 80% of the time, leaving the featherweights to only get in a couple of times, in over-the-top melees...
A great event
A very enjoyable event, nice idea to let a few of the public at a time to visit the pits, a wonderful buffet for the roboteers, nice touch with the free car parking tickets, and some very good battles, well done everyone involved for all your hard work in setting up and running this event.
Ian
Team Rampage
PS Nice flip on Rampage 2 Scott.
Ewan,
The ticket sales covered the Roaming Robots arena hire, copying costs, and buffet and a tiny bit of the prizes. But then Janice did a great job in going to other companies and getting extra prizes for the roboteers and for the raffle. The raffle made the profit for the two Charities. And thanks to Paul C again for giving £80s worth of Technobots Gift voughers for roboteer prizes.
But again - Janice managed to speak nicely to companies and get things like, Car park tickets etc and extra food from Safeway downstairs. And at one stage, we ran out of food, so withen 5 minutes, janice went downstairs to safeway and got a load more for us all.
Jas - you was missed alot- it got a little hectic in the morning - bit too much for Me and Eddy to handel, but we coped just about with the co-operation and patience of the Roboteers, so we wernt that bad i guess.
Ewan - wouldnt it be possible to do more than one full on featherweight event per year...
-- Thats what were hoping for, and have done for 2 years now :)
A show where FeatherWeights are the star of the show to take part in full on competition to win prizes etc.
As you may have noticed, the arena side walls were from the Big Roaming Robots Arena - i think there strong enough :)
Again Thanks for the comments above,
lets hope something like this happens later in the year or next year.
A few members of the public said it was better value than RW to come to this event as they were able to sit so close, and also walk around the pits to the point they could touch you and the robots.
But thanks a million again to Everyone.
Mr Stu
Thanks for another great event guys, sorry forgot to say this before leaving yesterday.
Stu, Featherweights.org, Janice, Paul C, Et Al.
Thank you for one of the best live events we have been to for a long time..Exellent food, venue, food!!, parking, more FOOD!!! Etc.:)
The idea of having the pits on a stage overlooking the arena was great, best seats in the house to watch the action!
We had great fun all day, especialy my daughter, this was her first live event with the team and she had a fantastic time.
A big thank you also has to go to the rest of the teams for suporting the event, Ewan, good machine..keep it up! (you know what I mean!)
Serious apologies to the Loop Team, hope you managed to fix it, hint, dont try to push Scorpion Jr from behind with its spinner at full chat!
Once again, thanks for a great day out!
