As there is an ever growing list of entrants,over 30 already,and you have stated that the first 20 Teams to apply would be provided with a hotel room, can you announce who the lucky 20 Teams are please? This will enable anybody who applied to late, to start looking for affordable accommodation.

im possibly teaming up with another robot-to give a helping hand! for this event am i ok to bring s7 the grim reaper-name changed obviously for display and if its running a few white boards if there are any? - (im not sure how its all gonna be run fights wise)
There will be whiteboards, but they'll be for the robots in the competition that have been knocked out. You're more than welcome to enter S7 into the competition, if you get knocked out you can take part in the whiteboards but I don't think we're going to have the pit space for non-competing heavies.... and want to ensure that those in the competition who do get knocked out have a good number of other fights to ensure they enjoy the weekend.

s7 meaning series 7 lol, and ok thanks and i may just enter then but dont realy wana be goin mad with it as the robot was intended forexpo events and other friendly fights etc
Robots are built to fight.... Storm II was built way before Series 7, there's no reason that Grim Reaper shouldn't be more than capable of holding it's own in the arena still today ! Get stuck in and fight it :)

Could you confirm that we have a hotel room for this event. We signed up within 5 minutes of the sign ups opening. We checked with some other teams at Newport (Teams Shock and Toon) and they signed up later than us and have recieved confirmation that they have a hotel booking via email, hence our concern.

While we're on the topic, would you mind if I withdraw my application. The machine proved itself unlikely to survive at Newport & I can't see that changing by September.
Ceri, that's no problem - don't worry about it, we're not exactly short of robots attending.
I can confirm that we have been able to allocate a hotel room to every team that has requested one. Confirmation numbers of your hotel rooms will be sent out prior to the event.
1 week to go until the seeds and the draw are announced !

Marien there is no way to link them but you will have your booking number when you check in to give them for the next night. I know they are able to ensure you can stay in the same room from experience. I can also confirm, there is cheap van-friendly parking for about £2 overnight next to the hotel.
We plan to send out packs to people with all the details in advance of the event with details like this in.

I am happy with that....Storm 2....good old fashioned competition...last time we faught in a proper comp was on series 7...time for payback Hoppitt with me john wayne horses. I predict an oota in less than 10 seconds no worries.!

You know, with a line up like that, I'm genuinely gutted that I've got no money to come and watch!
Ah well, maybe next year haha! Nice to see some of the Robot Wars veterans back too, like Terrorhurtz and Bulldog Breed to name but two of them. Should be some great fights over that weekend!

I liked the little video Ed, very good :). Should of read 'Robot Wars World Champion' under your name rather than Robots live but that's a technicality :).

It is currently extremely difficult to get any Active Bot Images, I know Dantomkia always only from the old Robot Wars times, I do not know the new Dantomkia!
