Hi Alan,
I didn't get the email
Me neither?
My Premier inn now canceled, just looked on website and its now double the price .
Not sure who you sent the email out to, but could you send me a copy please.
Could you send me a copy as well please.
sent, didn't realise there was 2 pages of sign ups in the database! Kane didnt get one 'cos you didn't sign up :P
Probably not supposed to talk about it so I'll keep it brief
£600? Where?
Have I signed up?
Can't see one Harry
Got yours Harry, just a note to you (and any others), I don't believe there will be an antweight arena there as Dave can't make it, unless you can sort one out amongst yourselves.
Just to follow on, I've got Dave's arena. It's up, bring antweights we're very short on them.
Rght, well i may have to do some last minute soldering to get a couple running would anyone have a smallish iron i could borrow?, but have at least one that i can run. Bulletproof little thing, literally.
I have a regular sized iron you could use if you don't manage to find a small one.
Glad to hear my arena got some use then :)
I'm not sure if I missed it or something, but who won out of the feathers and the memorial fight?
As always A very big thanks to all the Robots Live team for a great weekend lots of fun and so good to see all the gang there.
The robots had a mixed event
The biggest disappointment was that Cherub didn't get to fight. one of the battery packs failed, we had charged the packs up and put them in the robot, then about an hour latter it just went up. this is the second time with different packs for this robot so I will be changing the technology for this one.
Saint worked for a couple of fights and in the comp fight the Wotty blew BIG TIME when we opened the Wotty up a small mushroom cloud of magic smoke floated out! this did not help the mood first show not over and no hope of a heavy for the rest of the shows.
Tron worked well and with the new battery pack (I forgot I had) fitted it worked a treat.
Seraph was running around hitting everything and still not winning what more can we do?
But the biggest hit was Kettle bot. this seemed to put a smile on everyone's faces (Except Ed Hoppit's)
It was great to see the Young children and older ones, just driving it about. Thanks Shane for your help with driving it at the shows.
And to finish Zack won the memorial fight with Skink (I think that's the spelling, it is a type of lizard!)
A funny old weekend:D
Ed has no sense of humour ;).
Eh ??? I thought it was fantastic !! :) *confused*
Another great weekend from the Robots Live crew, the shows ran really well and it was great to see almost sell-out crowds for the peak shows. I stood by the door as people were walking out, and the crowd were loving the shows and the effort put in by the roboteers.
A huge well-done to all involved
Ed
A great weekend, thanks to everyone involved.
I amanged to video all the fights so they should be on Youtube soon, in 3D of course! also 2D for those who get headaches :-)
Ceri, I've got another one of those lipos if you want it?
Yet another eventfull weekend for Team Toon. Many thanks to Gilbert and Kane for their efforts in making sure that we made it home last night, after the throttle cable snapped in the middle lane of the M25 on the way down to Burgess Hill.
Thanks to Alan and all of the crew for another top weekend some good fights over the 2 days. Well done to Alan on winning his own trophy and to Zak on winning the Tanja Memorial Trophy.
TR2 had a mixed weekend but we have come away optimistic that the tweeks that we made have improved the perfomance and have a few ideas of changes to make before Widnes which should make a vast improvement. Tiny Hurtz made a return running at 6 bar only for the axe to get stuck in the floor 3 times in 1 fight, looking good for the future :-)
See you all in a few weeks.
Team Toon
Once again Burgess Hill shows why it's our flagship event of the year. 3 amazing shows with good crowds as well. Big thank you to all that attended, was great to see a good turnout of teams.
As always big shout out to the crew, Ed & Shane with all the loading, unloading, setting up and taking down, Ed Hoppitt and Dave Gamble, the guys from Brighton Uni, Terry for stopping behind, Will and Tim on the VIP tours, Mike and Wotty with their selection of robots and everybody who helped with the merchandise, on the door etc, it really helps us out when you guys lend a hand, and is very much appreciated.
Well done to Zack for taking the Tanja Smith Memorial trophy with Skink, I got lucky in the competition with valves and bungees breaking on the last flip of, 2 of the fights! Well done to Eruption for making it to the final for the second year, and Beast for taking 3rd place and holding on to the Robots Live Challenge Nut (careful Mr Lear, you're in danger of becoming a good driver! :) )
I'm sure we'll be back again next for the 8th year, for now we have a break for the big shows until September when we have 2 championships in one month! More information to come on those soon.
Robots Live Crew
Thanks to Alan and Robots Live for another great event. Well done to Alan for a very well deserved win, Kronic's working better than ever at the minute, Zak for winning the Tanja Memorial fight and John for holding onto the Nut with Beast. Eruption won Burgess Hill last year and came second this year, which isn't bad going. After winning the UK champs this year I knew I was long overdue another second place :)
See you all at Widnes
