Re: Team Enigma build diary
Yeah, they where fully charged after they where last used. I got two sets with Mr Nasty, the ones that where plugged in inside it when I got it don't work, but the other set worked straight away, and didn't need to be charged even though they'd been left for many years, not sure why, but it made it easier for me :)

Re: Team Enigma build diary
I have one question, is Mr Nasty on 40MHz ?
-
Re: Team Enigma build diary
not for much longer, i think im buying the radiogear
-
Re: Team Enigma build diary
Yeah, you can buy the 40mhz radio gear if you want Harry, I'm going to convert Mr Nasty to 2.4 ghz soon.

Re: Team Enigma build diary
any more news on these guys?
and have you finally got any videos of any of yours yet?!?!?!
-
Re: Team Enigma build diary
Nah, no vids yet, should be taking my bots out for a small fight in a local car park soon, so I'll have some videos then.

Re: Team Enigma build diary
Got the old Gripper chassis from Jonno today, going to restore it over the winter. Going to go for 2 wheel drive, rather than 4, so that there's enough space for some kind of srimech. Hope to have it running in a few months or so, and I'll try to keep it under the 100kg weight limit. :)

Re: Team Enigma build diary
Michael, what happened to X-Terminator's scoop do you know?
-
Re: Team Enigma build diary
I'm not sure too be honest, I don't know what happened to it. I'll probably be adding a new scoop as it still has the small pneumatic ram that powered it and it still has the parts needed to attatch it.
-
Re: Team Enigma build diary
Just my opinion but I would say scrap the pneumatic scoop as it wouldn't do much and either go for a static one or scrap it altogeather
-
Re: Team Enigma build diary
Yeah, I'll wait and see how the rest of the restoration goes first, I may just scrap the scoop like you say, meaning there would be more weight left for a bigger gas bottle.
-
Re: Team Enigma build diary
I don't know how low the scoop sat when it was attached, but since the heavyweight arena floors are occasionally uneven, you'll probably save yourself a lot of trouble by scrapping it. It'll be one less thing to worry about during a fight and, as you say, leaves you some weight to play with.

Oh yeah, didn't think of that :)

Re: Team Enigma build diary
got any pics of vids of your lot altogether yet?
-
Re: Team Enigma build diary
Not yet, hoping to take them all out for a spin soon though.
Also, I've decided not to add a new scoop to X-t, I'm gonna use a larger gas bottle and run it on 36v as there is a lot of weight spare, should have X-t finished in a month or so.

Re: Team Enigma build diary
We gotta have a friendly/carpark fight sometime :)

Re: Team Enigma build diary
Deffinatelly, I'm looking forward to using Mr Nasty in a fight, and using SA with it's axe (Hopefully at Barnsley). I'm gonna try and get Gripper working for Barnsley as well, no gaurantee though.

Re: Team Enigma build diary

Re: Team Enigma build diary
Right, so time for an update. Been working on X-terminator and have now got the electric actuators that power the srimech wired in. The pneumatics are coming along nicely, just need to connect up a few pipes and then the pneumatics should be compleat, then it's just motors and an interface that are needed. Gripper needs lots of work, it's just the shell and a pneumatic ram. Gonna try and have them both running by Barnsley, but don't get your hopes up :)
