Well, at least, I should say thanks for entering. I don't think anyone else will, though...
To be fair this COULD work, nobody ever said all tournaments had to have the same format and I have a feeling there may be some idea behind this. Yet so far I cant say I see the advantage of an all-hypo tournament, could you convince me of that Mark? :)
Well, to start with, more can be made, and in these times, since most tourneys are either in their middle or ending phase, I'd thought I'd start one that could be prolonged, but could also be a bit fun as well. Plus, it's easier to do a massive hypo rather then the minor tourneys that are going on now. I don't know, maybe I was just being stupid, but I thought it was a good idea. Please at least enter it and see how it works. You can't claim an idea is good or bad unless you see it in action.
I understand this looks a bit ridiculous, but could we try it just once? If the first Season of Das Uberhypo doesn't work, then I won't make another, but if it does work, I think I'll make more. So please enter, if not because this is a half-decent tourney, then because I need to see if it'll work.
Also, a difference will be that tactics will be needed.
Now excuse me. (Goes to work on the arena and house robots)
...lemme get this straight Mark...you're doing house robots and an arena for a hypo...when do you expect to use these house robots and arena? They're usually used in full size battles to add flavour, I have no idea how you're going to work them into a hypothetical (ahich I understand to be a 'what would have been' list of winners and plain results)
Joey, would you like me to give you an example of one of the possible Das Uberhypo battles?
...I think I need one to help me visualise how all this would work :P
Example: CYRILIUM MACH 3 AND THERMIDOR 2 won their fight after Cyrilium shoved Brutus Maximus into Sir Killalot's CPZ, where Killalot tore it up, and Thermidor 2 pressed the pit release button, and shoved The Creature down the pit.
Being a hypo from the start at least gives it a chance of actually being finished :mrgreen:
