You can see here there are many grades of titanium. Their properties and uses are down to the other materials alloyed (mixed in with) the titanium.
As far as we are concerned with robots,
grade 2 - flexible and will bend on impact
grade 5 - Stronger but will tend to tear instead of bend

yup, i have used grade 1 and grade 4 before though, all of 360s chassis is grade 4. the strongest of the un alloyed titaniums. Good stuff if you can get your hands on it :)

an antweight scoop i made ages ago.. its pretty light. Not very strong either..

with titanium you take what you can get if you are on a budget but always be looking out for grades 2, 4 and 5. Most useful to us lot
