I had the same issue, I used some needle nose pliers to grip the drills output shaft and twist it off.
Was hard work.
Will and I made a tool to help us getting wheels off drill motors...even after super strength locktite ! Picture on profile...so far no bent drive pins and weve done about 8 wheels / motors.
Very neat and simple...Im impressed.
I usually just stick a screwdriver in the cooling fan holes at the back of the drill motor (making sure its in-between the plastic tabs on the integral fan) and just grip really hard on the wheel and turn it. Works every time, even with loctited wheels. Work even better if the drill is mounted to the robot or something, so it cant shoot out your grip if you give the wheel a good hard turn
