If I put my name down to enter, will one of the reserved robots lose their spot? If so, then my entrant will be...
Nitro-Gene 4.0
€ WEIGHT: 100kg
€ ARMOUR: 5mm Hardox for the body. 6mm Hardox flipper.
€ SHAPE: Low invertible box with pointed sides and rear. At the front is a 42* wedge to aid in getting underneath other robots. All the lines have been curved over to make it harder for a spinner to grab onto a panel and rip.
€ MOTORS: 4 x LEM 130€™s at 36V = 36HP
€ LOCOMOTION: 4 Vulkanised Wheels.
€ DIMENSIONS: (L) 90CM (H) 17CM (W) 70CM
€ COLOUR: Black all over with the flipper coloured red.
€ WEAPONRY: A full pressure Nitrogen powered flipper at 1000psi, using a single 80mm ram at 1000psi. The flipper is mounted in the middle of the robot, and is 20cm wide and runs 30cm up the body. Using a 3cm long Titanium strip underneath the flipper, and a heavy flipping arm, the flipper runs completely along the ground. Running on a ratio 2.2:1, the flipper produces 1600kg of force at the tips, allowing me to launch anyone away! This version has 2 x 3kg Nitrogen bottles, giving me 25 flips!
€ SPEED: 22mph
€ GROUND CLEARANCE: 0MM-2CM. At the front, it is completely 0mm. On the sides/rear, its 2cm. The orginal weakness of Nitro-Gene (its high ground clearance) has been seen to by the skirts on the sides/rear. They are 5mm Titanium skirts and are joined together like BioHazard - at the corners. To avoid them breaking off, they are held in place by Hardox hinges.
€ STRENGTH: Pushing power and weaponry.
€ WEAKNESS: High speed may mean difficult driving
New Robot Alert! New Robot Alert!
Well...kinda. Its basically an old robot in a new body shell. :proud:
Robot Name: Requiem.
Length/Width/Height: 100cm x 40cm x 35 - 25cm (the robot€™s height decreases from the front to the back).
Shape: Invertible box with a section cut out of the front, which houses the spinning drum. The rear of the robot is rounded and each side has a thick Hardox spike, stopping it from resting on its side.
Weight: 100KG
Motivation: 2 foam filled go kart wheels made of uber-tough rubber.
Speed: About 18mph
Weapon: The main weapon is a 20kg spinning drum, powered by 2 Huqsvarna 3120XP chainsaw motors. The weapon is capable of changing gears during a match. Originally, the drum spins at 2400RPM when geared down 10:1, but this can be increased to 2:1 at systematic intervals of 2 gearings (10:1, 8:1, 6:1, 4:1 2:1). The 4mm Titanium drum is fitted with 2 horizontal Hardox bars, welded, screwed and riveted on to avoid them coming off. These are designed not only to flip, but to rip off skirts and armouring. The drum can hit with over 10kJ of force when spinning at 2400RPM, and increases to an astonishing 243kJ when spinning at 2:1 gearing (12000RPM). However to avoid self destructing, the spin will only spin at a maximum speed of 4800RPM.
Drive: 24v Sinclair C5 motors.
Power: 4 x 24v NiCad batteries.
Armour: 5mm Titanium and Vanadium alloy.
Ground Clearance: 0mm at front, 7mm all around.
Turning Circle: 0M
Srimech: Invertible.
Mark, its AJ tournament. Leave it alone.
I think you should leave.

MARK! THIS IS AJS TOURNAMENT! STOP HI-JACKING IT!
God damnit, stop taking the p!** out of everyone
Awesome! Thanks for the quick response everyone!
1) Requiem
2) Aftershock
3) Garbriel II - just need to know what pressure the flipper runs at
4) Aaron - reserved for 3 days
5) Cyrillium 2
6) Martijn - reserved for 3 days
7) E Clawdius Unum
8) Nitro-Gene 4.0
Martijn and Aaron have 3 days to get their entries in, or those spaces will become vacant again. Otherwise, this looks like it is going to be fun€¦
And Mark, I know you are just trying to be helpful, but leave the tournament running to me please. You have your own tournament(s) to run, and this is mine.
I think I said full pressure somewhere, but its whatever is the highest you can go with CO2 - might be 750psi, but Im not exactly fully with it at the moment so correct me if Im wrong :P
I think its 900psi or something like that. It cant go at 1000psi, though...
