Just a suggestion, if I may. I think that we may need to cut down on the amount of awards we have, considering that some things just have two few contestants. Stuff like best other weapon walker shuffler etc. are basically forgone conclusions since hardly anyone else is in that division lol
I disagree with you Alex, having an anual best walker competition should encourage people to build walkers, and in the best shuffler area, Im very much stuck between MORD and Whirligig atm :proud:

In terms of cutting down some of the awards, Im in agreement. There is no real point in a best other category if there is only 1 contender I guess. But as Martijn said, I hope that people notice that the same old things are winning it each year and make something good enough to change that next year.
But... But the best other is the Franks free award award! I object to its removal!
1. I never voted The Crashing Bore in the best other category in the first place, there ARE other options (I voted for Starstorm 2 :proud:)
2. There are other other weapons out there... I already mentioned Starstorm (unhinged flipper), but theres also Odysseus (active spike), Nodachi (sword-blade), Drilla Killa 7 (drills) and many others Im sure. As a matter of fact, I noticed a new other weapon THIS VERY YEAR when Aaron entered Mass Confuzzlement in AJWars: A New Era... , which was equiped with a highly original Wheel Cheeze Grater of Iminient Doom http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/cgi-bin/discus/discus.cgi?pg=next&topic=760&page=8365http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/cgi-...topic=760&page =8365. This machine might very well get my vote this year.
3. If Frank wins because he has the only other weapon there is, well, I think it SHOULD be rubbed in everyones face every year that they were too lazy to create any competition for Frank in this area!:proud:
4. I only now notice how much alike my first and second point are!:proud:
5. The third point is sooo correct :proud:
although I think the sawblade might very well go to other weapon, creates some competition for MSSD (ALTHOUGH BACK TO ROCK 2 IS A SAWBOT TOO!!!!!:proud:)

Now if only someone would drop a hint about Blizzard being a wheeled omnibot... :rofl:
