i think ill make it out of wood and therefore get all the dimensions then make from metal
on another note lokking at changing the motors, will these be suitable for a fether weight? and whats the best gear ratio? (new to that side of things)

Your output speeds will be:-
3600rpm or 138 rpm or 28 rpm non of them ideal for a direct drive to a wheel.
Your current motor gearbox combo gives 1,150 rpm @ 18v... and youd need a wheel around 34mm dia attached to the 3600 rpm combo to get approx the same speed in mph...... assuming that your using 100mm dia wheels at the moment..
i am now going to go with titanium, what thickness should i be looking at as a minium?, also how do you cut titanium? and as i need pieces welding together will these pieces need to have angled ends?

You need to find out how you are going to weld them.
It depends very much on what grade you use.
