Bread and Butter Jobs?
I used to do all kinds of administration and data entry jobs. My last job was as accounts receivable for an internet security company but then I fell ill and got sacked.
Have been 5 years unemployed due to chronic illness now and thinking of trying to find work as (perhaps) a teacher (for adults) since my illness seems to have stabilized.

Panel wiring for 5 years then Quality Inspector for 4 years and soon to be Quality Manager :).
But i would much prefer to be a civil or structural engineer. But at 30 years old would take too long in training to make it worth while.

Officially Im still a trainee. But Im doing all kind of jobs, so they dont know what to call it, I guess ;).
Im working three days on the sales department, there I programming a questionnaire so others can make a quotation in 10 minutes instead of a day or so. But I also do some marketing activities (making movies, photographs and presentations/website).
The other 2 days Im working on the service department. If my college isnt in, I€™m doing the administration, but normally I€™m starting up projects, like updating the minimum stocks and hire/repair administration.
And sometimes I€™m a receptionist ;)
Most fun part is that I€™m official a trainee for the finance department, but I€™m not working on that department ;)

Like Kenny I am a CNC Miller - 30 years of it, robot bits just fall off the end of it every now and then. Very usefull.:)
Dont recommend it for someone young as my job will go to China one day along with every other manufacturing business.
My son is in his final year as an electrical apprentice and is earning only slightly less than me, so I would seriously consider that as an option. Next year he will earn more - so his board is definitely going up. As Woody says, it is also good for doing jobs on the side and is quite a simple step to start working for yourself, if you feel the need.
