I probably wont be building this but It was just a thought, because F.I.N, by AW classifications, is not a spinner, just wondering if it was by FRA standards, and indeed would it be allowed in Class 3 arenas like Jonnos and RLs
For me winning is not that important (just as well!!!)

I also have an idea for a weapon.
A pop-up wedge.
I bit like a flipper, but:
We have a wedge, underneath is a flipper system like firestorms, but its hidden underneath.
Attatched to the flipper system is some spikes, which will then come out of the wedge.
Its popular in Robot Arena 2, and was thinking for making it a first in the real world.
If I am reading that right Matt your flipper lifts your machine into the air along with the opponent?
If so then whats the point? You wont be flipping as quickly as you have to lift 26kg instead of 13kg.
If I am wrong could you put a pic on your profile of what you have in mind?
Dave if I was against such a machine in the arena I would just wait until you got bored of spinning on the spot and then attack. Granted you may get some action in a large melee but I always think an offensive weapon is better than one which relies on the opponent doing something. Best of luck.

I might be efective as a flipper/axe hybrid.
Again, very popular in the RA2 world, so might aswell try it out in the real.
Matt, about the spike firing out the wedge, U talking about the way Spawn Of Scutter used its way of attacking?
