That's cool. I ummed and arred about something similar to yours using less wheels but got panicky about spinners chewing the wheels off.

ok so i started soldering various bits together namely the removable link and suddenly realized i wasn't sure how long the motor wires would need to be so i stuck with making the little section that connects the removable link to the battery and in other fun news my lipo charger that i have only does 1-3 cell lipos...great goodbye more money (incidentally everyone needs to go to ranglebox and get some of the m4 nutstrips they weigh next to nothing and are beautifully made even if you don't need one they will make a nice decorative feature)
also today the mounting bolts for the motors arrived if your new like me and didnt know its a 3mm bolt that the 1000rpm gear motors from ebay take
these ones :http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3307516820...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
take these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1607928107...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
i know loads of people probs know that but incase any newbies read this in the future and another tip for those that are new weigh stuff yourself dont rely on the weights given by the website my battery is a good 20g lighter than stated on the hobbyking page for it duno why but it could be the little bit of weight i need for extra armour

yay days off doing stuff
well assuming that the pics have worked you will see that there have been some changes firstly its not hdpe but polycarb that would be because i made such a complete screw up of the hdpe i needed to start fresh and i found that the poly was easyer to work with and it looks a little bit different.
i weighed this as it stands and its up at 945 grams when i added everything else to it i came to 1.405.... closer than i would have liked also you will notice that its atm wonkier than a tower in italy hopefully once things go on it will straighten out a bit
but yay it's finally coming together though i have bitten the bullet and ordered a smaller battery for it same power but inly 3 cells should save about 50 grams and will hopefully get me underweight

well that was a massive kick in the spuds got the last of the soldering done...all wired in and ready to go powers up ok first attempt to drive in a straight line with everything onboard and it shoots off at full throttle and slams into the wall and refuses to respond to control inputs (thank god for removable links) im thinking im getting interference from having too much to close together 6 motors might be too much for it may have to go back to drawing board for this one :(
one step forward 2 steps back
