Ok hahaha that could be one of the problems, could you recommend some reasonably priced ESC's that would working the capacity i want they only need to power a 12v drill motor and i will not be over-volting them. this still doesn't explain why only one Chanel works even a little bit, could it be my transmitter or receiver is knackerd. Also could anyone explain how i could get two ESC's with two motors to be controlled with one stick as this compleatly baffles me, like what two channels should i plug into.
Again thank you for all the help so far and sorry for being such a nause, its annoying me as i have fully built my robot and i can make it work using a wired controller however just cant seem to get my head around this RC stuff.

Some transmitters have a build in mix function which allows planes to use two servo's in conjunction on one stick.
In our case that same function allows us to use two esc's creating one stick driving.
Mixers can also be bought seperately
