Robots Live! European Championships 2013-7th & 8th September

Good morning everyone, sorry for not responding to questions in the thread - have been away.

So, feathers - well this isn't a featherweight events, RoboChallenge have a far better arena for running feathers but we are just working out to what degree feathers could feature in the event, so watch this space.

Robots Live will shortly be announcing the seeds, and I can confirm that there are at least 6 non-UK robots in the running to attend so far with support being provided for them in terms of ferries and hotel costs.

We're just in the process of finalising the last logistical bits and pieces, and when we announce the seeds we will also be announcing the prize fund you'll be playing for ! Rest assured it will be more than enough to repair a damaged Wotty for example, so we're expecting people to be going all out for this one :)

Just a quick update, having checked in with our European friends it looks like we're going to get quite a turn-out of European Robots for this, at the moment we have 7 interested.... will be great to see a competition event with a range of different robots taking part.

Alan will open sign-up's for the event shortly, we're expecting it to be over subscribed and we're just in the process of working out how to deal with that and seeding.

Update :

- Sign-Up's will open on 31/05/13 - the event WILL be over-subscribed
- Prize fund of over £1000
- We will be providing a Saturday night hotel room for the first 20 teams that sign up
- We will be providing transportation for the European Teams attending
- Seeds and competition format to be announced shortly.

Ed thats great news...It will be great to show those Belgians and Germans how to build a robot. Ok ok so i use their rams and drink their potions but still. :)
