I completely agree Clive, Roaming Robots have been asked to do everything Heavyweights for ages and it's not really fair to expect John to put everything together for us. Robo Challenge have also done a fantastic job with the Featherweights. And of course Robots Live who managed to put together a great UK championships for us all.
We initiated this awards because we felt it was missing, and so we contacted the FRA. No idea why RR hasn't done this before or this year but it's not a problem. this year is the first time and it sets it for the future regardless of who it's in conjunction with, RR RC or RL. It maybe something where if the FRA are given enough support they can do the whole thing themselves.
This years awards will be revised and will be improved for next year which is great, the good thing is our sport now has a proper awards for every member and it sets the bar for next year. It will be a great evening to be remembered as there is a lot of work going into the whole event with some great guests attending.
Got to say I really enjoyed both Championship events again this year, thanks to Robo Challenge and Robots Live,looking forward to next years already.Quote:
