starting the build on the new ants tomorrow with this design for a rammer:
http://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/ ... 0Shell.jpg
2 50:1 pololu motors for drive, botbitz 12a esc's lipo battery, 2mm hdpe top and base, 4mm sides, the sides and back will be one solid piece of hdpe bent into shape using a heat bar, the wedge will be a piece of 2mm aluminium bent into shape.
I have permission from the builder so the build on mini kronic will also start ASAP.
what servo (preferably metal geared) would you guys reccomend for a very powerful flipper ?
For a very powerful flipper, I would suggest a Park HPX F, but I don't believe they are sold anymore, and they used to be very unreliable in my experience (I blew 3 in one event!)
I use an HS-82 in AG3, and it produces enough torque to flip an antweight with not a lot of difficulty, but if you have the weight and want something a bit more powerful, Svengali uses a KST 125MG servo with 7kg/cm torque. A little unnecessary, but it's fun to use!
I'll get a HS-82 then.
Done some work ant-wise, got everything all wired up and ready to go now the only thing to do is make the armour and flipper arm, I was thinking of going for something along these lines:

A lot has gone on since the last time I posted here, mainly that I acquired Aftershock 4 from Will Thomas and just this weekend got it into running condition thanks to some help from Harry Hills:

Next time the drive should be a lot faster and stronger since the battery we were using was low on power.
