They're even harder to find in Peru, but that's where I tried one for the first time. Just mix some flour and water to make your batter, fill a pan full of oil, dunk your Mars Bar in the batter then put it in the pan for a minute or two. Seemples :)
(and so concludes today's Fighting Robot Association cookery class)
Re: team combat penguin build diarys
thanks jamie, might try that sometime 8)
Re: team combat penguin build diarys
Might be worth pre-booking an ambulance beforehand, in order to take you to hospital to get your arteries un-clogged and heart restarted once you've eaten it
Re: team combat penguin build diarys
I've never actually tried one Jonny  . I can imagine though that it would be best to eat it shortly after it was made rather than have it sitting in the post for a few days, I reckon it would be like buying fish and chips from the chippy and leaving it for a few days under the bed then tucking in a few days later

Not as bad as finding a 2-3 day old Donner Kebab when you have had a really good session on the stagger juice. All dried up and crispy
Re: team combat penguin build diarys
do you people recon a 4:1 gear ratio is enough, i am doubtful, just checking, parts being used are:
24v wheelchair motors @ 36v (3000rpm?)
36v 9ah sla
200a 4QD
go kart wheel
thanks
Re: team combat penguin build diarys
Well if the motor spins at 3000 rpm at 24 volts it should spin about 4500rpm if it can take the extra voltage, and go kart wheels are geniraly between 30-40cm, so if you wanted about 10-12 mph of speed then I would go with a 10:1 gear ratio.
Re: team combat penguin build diarys
rule of thumb, go for gear reduction the same inches diameter for your wheel. for example 12 go kart wheels = 12:1 reduction. heres a useful calculator aswell:
