Robot SMASH!!
Welcome back to Robot SMASH!! where we are now revving up for Heat B, where the first eliminator will be Paul Cuomos D.V.D (Death via Drum) v a realie entered by Mark Elam, Iron Awe 5!
Both bots are made of tough stuff, lets take a look...
D.V.D is an odd invertible bot with triangular sides and rear. Its got a powerful drum, but also an 8mm ground clearance so Iron Awe will have no problem getting underneath.
Iron Awe 5 finished 3rd in the 2007 UK championships, and was the 2007 Roaming Robots Winter Tour Champion! It was entered into my last tournament (The Easter Bunny Tribute Championships) by Kody Kunz, but it was pitted in round one by Danny Baileys Crimson Thunder.
Booth 1: Paul Cuomo
Booth 2: Mark Elam
5,4,3,2,1, ANNIALATE!
D.V.D starts spinning up and sets off away from Iron Awe so it wont be interuppted in the short spin-up time. Time Up! Mark comes in and gets in underneath, easily flipping Paul over. But the drum was unaffected by the angle of the flip and D.V.D is invertible (although it landed the right way up anyway!), not to mention quick to recover from an attack like that as Paul swerves around the rear of Iron Awe 5 and brings the upwards spinning drum into play!
CRASH!
Iron Awe somersaults and lands on its back, self-righting no problem but getting pushed into the arena side wall from the rear!
Now Paul has had time tp spin up that powerful drum again and hits once more!
CRASH!
Iron Awe 5 flips over again, this time mistiming its hasty flip to self-right and landing back upside down after hitting the angle grinder!
The flipper is open for a mere second, but Paul is too fast for it and attacks the insides!
CRASH!
A sudden rush of Co2 comes out of Iron Awe as the bottle is broken!
Paul pushes Iron Awe into the arena wall and lets the audience count the immobile bot out!
5,4,3,2,1, IMMOBILE!
As a grand finishing move Paul slams in with the drum one more time!
CRASH!
Iron Awe wobbles precariously on the rails for a moment, then falls onto the camera tracks!
D.V.D goes through to the heat semi-final!

Robot SMASH!!
My tactics are somewhere up in the great archives in the sky...
-
Robot SMASH!!
No real tactics against Supreme Glory, try to get around to the sides, grapple and shove around.
Would it be possible to put a reminder of whos fighting next please?

Robot SMASH!!
Eliminator 6/32:
Dead Horse Beater v Supreme Glory Omega
Dead Horse Beater is entered by Frank Goacher, whos first entry Acronyms FTW was pitted by Gabriel II in the first battle of the tournament! He sure hopes Dead Horse Beater will fare better against its fellow axe, Supreme Glory Omega!
Supreme Glory Omega comes from the same mind that gave us Weapon Synergy (beaten in the second round of Heat A by Liar 2), Daniel Stickler! This robot has had a good run in my challenge belt tournament, defeating Worck and MeCannibal 2.0 (both Paul Cuomo creations and will both be seen in later heats!) before losing out to Flick of the Wrist, from Martijn, who won the last heat with Liar 2!
Booth 1: Frank Goacher
Booth 2: Daniel Stickler
5,4,3,2,1, ELIMINATE!
Both axes are running at the same drive power, so both get off to a similar start, but Dead Horse Beater has no skirts and this gives it more maneouvrability! Taking advantage of this, Frank steers around to the side and fires his axe! It makes impact with the top armour of Daniels machine and Frank holds on tight, engaging in a fierce tug of war! But Supreme Glorys wheels cant run sideways and Daniel finds himself shunted into the angle grinder, which scrapes the paint off a side skirt!
Frank pulls it away and takes his axe away, then before Supreme Glory escapes he attacks again, this time managing to get a good grip with the nail over the side of Supreme Glory, and Frank pushes Daniel into the corner! The spike topples SGO, and Daniel self-rights to come on the attack himself! He slams into the front of Dead Horse Beater and brings the axe down, buffeting Franks top armour hard! But Dead Horse Beater attacks back with its own axe, whacking away at SGO! Frank pushes Daniel back into the corner, but Daniel fires his axe again and reverses over the spike, dragging Frank on and letting go!
The spike comes up, and Dead Horse Beater is flipped over onto its back! Taking his chance Daniel fires SGOs axe and digs into that weak base armour! With the axe in Frank cant self-right and Daniel pushes it up against the wall before with drawing his axe for another hit!
SLAM!
This impact does much more damage, smashing through the 4mm polypropylene and the insides could be damaged! Then all of a sudden Dead Horse Beater starts venting gas through that hole! Daniel has punctured the co2 canister and now Frank cant self-right!
The crowd scream with delight and count Frank out!
5,4,3,2,1, IMMOBILE!
As a celebration Daniel gives the base one more taste of the axe, shattering it easily and sending shards of polypropylene flying around the arena!
THE SECOND ELIMINATOR OF THE HEAT IS OVER!
Dead Horse Beater is beaten as Supreme Glory heads for the glory of the heat semi-finals!

Robot SMASH!!
Eliminator 7/32:
Shadow Zone Returns v Fire and Ice
Shadow Zone Returns is a new version of Shadow Zone 1.1, with a new front scoop to enhance pushing power. At the rear is a powerful flipping arm, like that of Toro/ The Matador/ T-Minus.
Fire and Ice is another robot with plenty of pushing power, but it has wedges instead of a scoop and saws instead of a flipper- could these be telling factors?
Booth 1: Kody Kunz
Booth 2: Joey McConnell
5,4,3,2,1, DECIMATE!
Both bots get going quickly, but instead of going for Shadow Zone Joet turns and presses the pit release tyre! The siren wails, but Shadow has crept up behind and got that scoop in underneath the rear wedge of Fire and Ice! The saw causes sparks to fly, but no real damage is caused and Kody pushes Fire and Ice into the corner! The spike flips Joey over, on top of Shadow Zones rear end! Kody fires the flipper, and Fire and Ice somersaults through the air before crashing down to earth with a bump! But Joey is quick to recover and rams Shadow Zone from the side, a stream of sparks flying out as the saw comes into play! But Joeys main weapon is the sheer power of his bot, and he displays this now by shunting Shadow Zone into the angle grinder! The 10kg weight advantage granted by the tracks on Fire and Ice is paying off, as Joey can keep hitting Kody hard! But Shadow Zone has once again suffered minimal damage and reverses away from the grinder, attacking Joeys ground clearance at the sides and throwing it into the air again! Once more Fire and Ice comes crashing down, and Shadow Zone gets under with the scoop and shunts it towards the pit! But time is ticking down!
10, 9, 8...
Joey is almost there!
7, 6, 5...
Kody has almost won the fight!
4, 3, 2...
They get there, but as Kody triumphantly reverses he realises Fire and Ice isnt finished yet- one track is suspended over the pit, but most of the body is still on the floor!
1...
Kody comes in to finish the match!
THE FIGHT IS OVER!
Kody gets there and Fire and Ice hits the bottom of the pit, a second too late!
As Fire and Ice was not pitted in time the match will go to a judges decision!
Shadow Zone Returns: Fire and Ice:
Damage- 2/5 2/5
Agression- 4/5 3/5
Style- 3/5 3/5
Control- 4/5 2/5
Overall- 13/20 10/20
By three points, Shadow Zone Returns makes it to the heat semi-finals!

*shrugs* Good fights guys, need to work on my secret anti-pit device :proud:

Robot SMASH!!
Lets wait and see Paul...Maybe D.V.D can pull it off with some good tactics, but there are good bots like Shadow Zone in the heat and already into round 2...Who knows?
-
Robot SMASH!!
Two fairly even machines here. I think Back to Rock has the advantage in pushing power, but I have the more powerful arm. Tactics here are to get around to the sides, aim for the rear corners of the skirts, slide the scoop underneath and throw it over. Get back underneath, pin it with the axe and chuck it out the ring before it can get back on its wheels.

Robot SMASH!!
Eliminator 8/32:
ASANSMSADB v Back to Rock III
All scoop and no stab make steve a dull boy is a Behemoth style- scoop and axe synergy, but on a reverse wedge shape. It will be referred to as All scoop most of the time because of the marathon- length name!
Back to Rock III also has a lifting scoop, but the difference is Martijn has put a spinning blade in the middle of his! It has the more pushing power, and so should be able to bulldoze All scoop without too much trouble.
Booth 1: Steven McGregor
Booth 2: Martijn M Benschop
5,4,3,2,1, OLIBERATE!
All scoop and Back to Rock head towards each other, scoop to scoop they meet and push hard! Martijn gains the advantage and pushes Steven into the arena wall! Steven hits Martijn with his
axe, but not much damage is done. Eventually Martijn drives away, but Steven comes in and throws Back to Rock over! Before Martijn rights himself Steven goes in and clamps down with the axe, stopping Back to Rock self-righting! Steven pushes Martijn across the arena floor and into the pit release button! But now he gets his scoop underneath and tries to throw Martijn out!
All scoop lifts Back to Rock onto the rails and tries to push it out, but Martijn fires his scoop and self-rights back into the arena, albeit on top of All Scoop! Steven reverses into a position where he is directly infront of the pit and fires the scoop!
Martijn tries to self-right away again, but to no avail and Back to Rock III rolls into the pit!
THE HEAT SEMI-FINALS LOOM!
Back to Rock III is in between a rock and a hard place as All Scoop goes through to the heat semi-finals!
Coming Next- A featherweight match!:
