Ewan, it says that you have discontinued the 14.4v motors. Do you have any left over as I have just burnt out one of mine in testing or will I have to replace the motors with the new 12v/18v ones?

I've got a couple kept aside for this reason, please PM me if you need one/two and an email address to send an invoice to, price still at £7.50/ea
Prices for 9.6V GR01's and 9.6V HRS550 motors have been reduced to clear, now only £21.90 and £4.90 each respectively.
These will soon be replaced by a 12V version as well as another new product which has been under development for some time, watch this space!
This is the last warning for GR01 stock, there are only six motor/gearboxes left (aside from those already reserved), once these are gone that's it as this product is being discontinued. Grab them while they're still available!
Anyone with a GR01 already don't worry, there's full spares stock available of everything besides 14.4V motors, please get in touch if you need anything.
Just ordered 2 motors why are they being stopped?
In due course they will be replaced by the GR02's. More information about these will be released in a couple of weeks. These will however be more expensive than the GR01's currently are.
Why are you stopping the GR-01's? They are brilliant motors! I know they have small flaws but they are very good for the cost and great for first time roboteers.
Thanks for the vote Eventhorizon, but Hannibalito 4 drives rather well on the Gimson 9.6V GR01's
In the long run the GR01's haven't proven financially viable- although low on material and parts cost they require too many man-hours to fabricate and assemble, and it's time I have less and less of!
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the increase in quality of the GR02's for not-that-much of an increase in price. As I say, more will be announced soon.
And veterans as well, proves how good they are/were, point still stands though.Quote:
