Knew Id get that wrong, especially since I knew full well (if I thought about it) that BB lost to Exterminator. BB and JS have always reminded me of each other for some reason (even when BB had a full width flipper all the way up), even though I can clearly picture both of them. Its probably because theyre of at least vaguely similar vintage.
Anyway, sorry to the Judges for that factual incorrection (and thanks, Matty).

No problem. Strangely enough, I used to get them confused as well. I always got Cassius and Gravedigger confused as they were clones fo each other.

I think Cassius was probably famous enough for me that I didnt have that problem, although they were certainly similar robots. I doubt Gravedigger could self-right; was it hydraulic, or am I just having Big Cheese-induced delusions?
This is where I get to subvert yet another thread, although we were hardly on-topic to begin with. Im trying to remember which other robots I tend to get confused, but obviously theres a problem with that (if I remember both, I can usually sort them out). Mace and Chaos (1) spring to mind; for some reason Nemesis has been so blotted out of my memory by Diotoir that I tend to think of Napalm instead; I keep confusing Ground Hog with something too, but if I could remember what Id probably stop confusing it. I get confused about some of the US bots, but thats probably my age and the fact that all my tapes are in Singapore.
For some reason, on this forum, I keep nearly typing Tornado when I mean Typhoon - but I dont actually get the robots confused. :-)
JP on the other hand... poor Disc-o-Infernos period of fame, being called Hypnodisc (damn; I can cope with Razer, but I can never remember whether its a c or a k, and its probably more instructive to let Babeth rant at me about it than for me to look it up on-line) the whole time.

lol andrew your not the only one to make the tornado and typhoon mistake. CC made it himself in an interview just before the final (if i remember correctly)

No, in theory, Gravedigger COULD self-right.

Gary: Well if you *will* be named after climatic features and win things. Theres probably an alliterative aspect too, since I dont tend to get Storm mixed up so much. Clearly the trick to getting somewhere in Robot Wars is to start with meteorology. My other problem is remembering how many rs are in your name (we have a Garry in the office).
Christopher: I didnt realise Gravedigger had enough oomph (although whether anyone really considered it a design feature pre-Cassius I dont know). Maybe it did; I remember it having a fair kick, and I think Cassiuss main advantage over it was manoeuverability.

It depends on which design. I had doubts over the 3rd war model because of its shape (ie. it would probably land flat on its back - where most of the weight was - rather than the wedge) despite IIRC it having the same sort of ram as Cassius. The others were ok, though.

Oh btw, I finally saw Bio vs Mechavore, sweet, buy why didnt Mechie fit the roll over hoops?
