think the only way is the special welder
i believe again Will owns one????
As Alex says we have welded the HDPE shell on Aftershock and it has stood up surprisingly well against the spinners. We did have a proper plastic welder on loan from my uncle but we had to give it back, we now use a special nozzle for a normal hot air gun.
You can pick up the nozzles fairly cheap, but I would recommend getting a decent hot air gun where you can full adjust the temperature so that you don't end up melting the whole lot.
will,
how thick is aftershocks shell?
5mm top back and sides with a 2mm base (don't tell Little Hitter  )
lol don't worry your secrets safe with me.
so just the 5mm HDPE stands up to the spinners? or have you got something else under the hdpe or something?
Does anyone still need a partner, we need ones for my brothers new robot- Heatwave (a FP flipper) & Whirlpool (4WD Psuher)
Any takers??
why don't they both team up?:)
also will, turns out i've got a hot air gun, did u manage to find out what temperature was needed to weld the hdpe?
Well I've just beaten a personal record. Both hornet and my power tool racer are finished and ready to go a full 96 days before the competiton
Got a pic of the drag racer ?
