Sounds like two quite extreme robots from both Craig and Matt.
Hopefully pictures will be posted soon.
Craig, I have no idea how you got a robot with a combination of 12 and 4mm hardox under 8kg. What speedo you planning to use?
Matt that sounds rather mental. What are these gold caddy motors? Sounds more more like a heavy setup.
What batteries are you using? The alarm batteries are usually 12volt SLA around 2amps. How do you plan to use three?

Its the amount of hardox Marco and the fact that i havent weighed it complete (as in not weighed it in finished) but i calculate it to be 7.9kg total
Controllers, im not willing to say just yet same as Anto XP but bigger

Craig- good luck trying to get brushless motors with the start up tourque to power a decent pusher.
Sounds like your going down a dodgy road already- i tryed using small name brushless stuff.. the rating on the box isnt realistic and the speed controllers they suggest with the motors are no were near capable enough for robot use most of the time.
What brand are the motors? Its worth going with a big named highly suggested company that are well known within the RC helicopter or plane market- i tryed some one off motors first in 360- they worked brilliantly.. once. then burnt out. And the speedos the suggested were 1/3rd of the power ive had to upgrade to now.. the first set of speedos went up in smoke before it reached 10rpm.
Im on my 5th and 6th esc now. Brushless stuff for antweights isnt hard.. trying to get it to work in a bigger weight class is a pain.
