Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
1) Isnt Big Nipper 100kgs as it is?
2) Thanks for clearing that up, but I agree with Aaron, you still havent stated the PSI for the crusher for example, which leaves it very open.
3) By this I meant is it possible to successfully lift an opponent and shake them without losing grip? With the ammount of vapourbots covered in Hardox or thick Titanium these days it would be hard to crush.
4) OK, fair point, but we assume everything is carefully mounted in vapourbots.
5) Thanks for clearing that up. But still, there would be quite a lot of pressure on the arm and crushers. Think about it, 100kgs swaying side to side.
6) Sorry, I didnt put this how I intended. I was just pointing out that it was quite hard for me to pull the information out about the mechanisms because it was in a clump with other information.
7) Ill leave Martyn to tell you what he has told me.
8) Yes, Psyclonic is the same as all other FBSs. But the point is this design has already been proven, see below for more info.
9) The Nose is actually an originally designed robot designed to get under FBSs and flip them without them comming in contact with the body. Somehow I managed to release its stats before someone copied my ideas, again, see below.
10) My point is it seems you have copied Martyns idea for The Deer, and I also seem to remeber you copied my idea for The Deflesher last season. Unlike Psyclone, I didnt nick someones design before they had released it after hearing about it and then taking all the credit.
11) I also agree with what Aaron has said about rammer speeds, check the most recent FP versions, they have all been slowed down.
12) Apologies once again to Dan, Steve and the rest of you for causing trouble.
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Not getting involved in this, except to say Martyn told me about his lastest idea for The Deer several months back and they are extremely similar.
Oh yeah, both Andy AND Dan were beaten to the Deflesher idea several years ago by a Vapourbot called Tha Ripper. You both lose :P
Also, sorry for forgetting the superheavy. Ill knock up something basic this weekend.
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Im working on a FBS called St Lucifer, stats should be up very soon
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
I need to get some stats up. Maybe this weekend.
The stats should be around here somewhere if you cant be bothered to wait, but...
-Octopush 2s stats may need revising.
-Crash Bandibot 2s stats DEFINATLY need revising.
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
OK, here are Ram-Raiders stats.
NAME: Ram-Raider.
Motto: THERES NO SUCH COLOUR AS GREENISH PURPLE!!!*
Weight: 30 kilos
Body Shape: A bit like 101 without the tracks.
Speed: 23mph
TC:0
GC: 1mm all round
Wheels: 2 sets of Banks. In other words, its a shuffler.
Armour: 3mm aluminium
Power: I dont know what a suitable power source for a featherweight would be. Could someone offer any helpful suggestions?
Colour: Green on one side, Purple on the other. Its motto is written on both sides.
Weapons: A horizontal saw blade powered by its own motor (again, advise would be nice) is the active weapon, but its own brute force provides the main weapon.
Srimech: The robot can run inverted. You could TRY to side strand it, but it has ears to prevent this.
Notes: Has a build in tape recorder (like Suicidal Tendencies had that steam engine whistle). It only says its motto (see above). This is to annoy the opposition.
Strengths:Brute power.
Weaknessess: Weakish armour, can get annoying.
*If you value your sanity, you wont ask. If you read The Cut-Throat Celts from the Horrible History collection, you wont need to ask.
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Hacked off Ha-ka
Weight- 89.4kg- (WDOR)
Dimensions- H- 40cm, L- 1m, W- 70cm
Speed- 13.3mph or 5.3 m/s
Shape- 2 x 35 degree wedges about 40cm long, with a 3ocm box section in the middle.
Locomotion- 4x Solid aluminium hubs with old karting wets around it
Ground Clearance- 1mm at sides, 3mm at rear, 0 at front
Turning Circle- 0
Power- 4x Dustin motors running on 36V powered by 3 TMC 36V batteries/ They produce a total of 8.84BHp
Armour- 5mm Aluminium Boron Carbide
Weapon 1- A larger hammer than before weighing 11.5kg. It runs off some very nice 1000psi nitrogen rams, and produces around 4 tonnes at the beginning and about 2.7 towards the end. At the beginning I€™d say it€™d cut through 8mm titanium in 2 or 3 swift hits. It€™s double sided, with one Terrorhurtz style blade, and one Mortis one.
Weapon 2- A small strip of ti/vanadium alloy that should enable each wedge to slide under easier
Removable Link Position- Under a small 6mm steel electromagnetically secured panel at the back of the robot.
Srimech- invertible, but the axe will right it if necessary due to the fact that the head is angled back into a hole, which keeps the head inside the body.
Strengths- Powerful weaponry, Manouvreable, good acceleration, well armoured
Weaknesses- Not the best pushing power, limited CO2.
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Roo Cubed
Weight- 97.8kg (Weight distribution available on request)
Dimensions- H- 17.5cm D- 130cm
Speed- 15mph in driving speed.
Shape- Low wide cylinder. This time though, the ends go slightly into curved wedge mode by abut 2cm. At this point, the ring armour narrows down to about 4mm titanium.
Ground Clearance- Around 5.5mm
Turning Circle- 0
Armour- 2mm titanium over 2mm Polypropylene over another layer of 2mm titanium.
Locomotion- 4-x air filled tyres with expansive hole-filling mousse inserted in order to prevent puncturing.
Power- 4 x S28-150 Magmotors running at 24V off 2 packs of 24v Nicads. This produces 12BHp as well as only weighing a total of 13kg.
Removable Link- In the very centre of the machine. Positioned so few axes will have heads powerful nor long enough to reach it, whilst the shafts must be long and this will reduce their accuracy.
Weapon- A 38kg, titanium ring around the outside of the machine with 8x 4-inch long steel teeth with a chamfered triangular design in order to maximize damage. It€™s powered by a LEM-170 geared down by 5:2 giving out an output speed of 1286.4rpm. With a reasonably high horse power motor spinning it, and a low yet deadly top speed, it should get up to speed in around 2.8 seconds and has an output of 159Kj. It€™s 1cm thick as well so should withstand a good battering.
Srimech- Invertible
Strong against- Everything really.
Weak against- Very quick rammers, Me:proud:
Robot Most Compared to- Gyrobot?
House Robot Most Feared- Probably Growler
Strengths- Destructive, Invertible, Nippy, Well Armoured
Weaknesses- we€™ll add those as we find them out. The only one I can think of is that the armour may be vulnerable to axes. Has a tendenc yot be slightly unbalanced
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Chris, Im asking about the motto cos my sanity is far gone anyway :p
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Back in the time of the Celts, they had a compass made up of colours. Black, for example, was North, and White was South.
In the Horrible History book The Cut-Throat Celts, there were some games putting said compass to use. There was a picture of an extremely annoyed person collapsed over a bunch of chairs yelling THERES NO SUCH COLOUR AS GREENISH-PURPLE! (Purple was East, and I think green was south-west). It was so funny, I had to use it.

Powerpoint The Thrasher 5 (PTT5)
Weight- 91.2kg (WDOR)
Dimensions- L- 60cm, W- 90cm, H- 28cm
Speed- 16.7mph, 7.5m/s
Shape- resembles a spanner, with the tightening bits at the side.
Ground Clearance- Not too big, but not tiny either, probably around 4mm
Turning circle- Minimal, if not nil
Armour- 1cm Grade 5 titanium all over, weighing a total of 38.88156kg
Power- 12 x 2480mAh, Apogee Lithium Polymer batteries, running at 11.1V each, but run in series to crank it up to a limit of just 24V as this is all we need and they weigh a total of just 1.86kg. They power 2 PERM-PMG-080€™s running at 24V and weigh a total of 6.1818182kg and produce 7.9BHp. The motors are geared down at a ratio of 14:1
Locomotion- We€™re using wheels from off-road skateboards for the main powered central reasons, and then we have 8 wheels from normal skateboards mounted on all corners top and bottom for extra stability.
Removable Link- The removable link is in the centre of the top of the machine, directly above the weapon.
Weapon- In the centre of the spanner form, there is a 50cm diameter horizontal disc, running off 2 x LEM 130€™s running on a reduced gearing to just 2000RPM . This will produce just over 10Kj, but the numerous little teeth on the outside (about 250 of them) will constantly chew at the surface. The whole disc is made of 1cm titanium and weighs just 9.2kg.
Srimech- Invertible
Strengths- Invertible, Nippy, Hard To Get Hold Of
Weaknesses- Slightly tricky to drive, Weapon will not damage thick armour
